So I'm back home from being in Wyoming all summer, and even though I took all my hobby supplies I was incredibly busy this summer and only made a few of the hundreds of ideas I wanted to complete this summer.  But now I am unemployed! So I have plenty of time...

I'll be a boni-fied park ranger for Fossil Butte National Monument (for more on FOBU check out their NPS page: http://www.nps.gov/fobu/index.htm )!  I'll be leading guided hikes and tours of a truly unique paleontological resource.  FOBU showcases some of THE BEST fossilized examples of Eocene aged (52 Million years old!) freshwater organisms and their environment.

So far so good.

For those of you who didn't know about 2 months ago I ruptured a disk in my lower back.  Turned out it was between L4-L5, the last two vertebrae in the spine.

I had tried to let it heal on it's own but that just didn't happen.  I was having alot of pain in my leg and foot from the nerve being pinched by the ruptured disk material pressing against it.  It got realy unbearable.  So I scheduled surgery.

The last slave ahsoka figure I put up.  Is it offensive to you?  should I remove it?  What were your initial thoughts on the figure when you first saw it?

If you didn't know I live in western ky and we just got hit by a huge ice storm which knocked out power to all of western ky, part of tennessee, and part of Illinois.  It was bad, everything was closed, schools were shut down.  They had to set up shelters to keep people warm and fed.  My familly was lucky to have my parents which let us stay at their house where they had gas heat and a generator.  We are back home now and the power has been restored to us, but alot of people are still out.
