I should amend my complaints from the last journal. There are most definitely things that I like about every picture. But there are also things that I don't like, and I'm hoping to motivate myself into having less not-so-good things in pictures in the future! I'm also hoping that taking more time with art and making sure I'm happy before continuing will improve the quality. It's too bad I'm so lazy when I get home from work, and I'm sure it will be worse this time of year.

A new little kitty showed up on the front porch. It has a hurt paw, or perhaps one that didn't quite work right when it was born. It cried and cried till it was finally brave enough to come on our porch and have some milk for Thanksgiving. It still doesn't let us get too close, but it's warming up to us.

I have a day off tomorrow, so perhaps it will be an art and games day! Maybe I can finally get that stupid coin in 2-1 in New Super Mario Bros. Wii (yes, I have wasted about 70 lives! ;_

I have decided to remove my to-do list because I will be stopping working on pictures if I'm not 100% satisfied with them, whether for the time being or permanently. Hopefully, this will improve the quality of my work, though it will possibly increase the time it takes to produce them. I hope to still complete 12 pictures this year, though, probably not all the ones I intended.

We both also love the fact that the Koopalings are back. All I could really ask for is for Wendy to just let out one whine of "But King DADDYKINS!!!" XD We haven't tried multiplayer yet, but maybe we will next week.

and I enjoy this Japanese show called Game Center CX. Every episode, this guy named Arino gets a challenge to play video games, and he tries to! Sometimes he succeeds, and sometimes he fails. We prefer the subtitled episodes, because we understand them fully, but we'll watch raw Japanese ones, too. Yesterday, I saw an episode with one of the first NES games I ever had--Milon's Secret Castle. Well, that was what it was called in English--I forget the Japanese game. Even though it was one of my oldest games, I NEVER beat it, because there were four final rooms and only one of the four bosses were real, and it was so frustrating to figure out which one, so I just gave up! While I watched the episode, I remembered playing the different stages and trying to beat the bosses. I cheered on Arino as he fought the bosses, and groaned when he messed up on the continue screen and had to start over again when he made it more than halfway through. I saw him beat the real final boss, and now I'm inspired to play Milon's Secret Castle myself! Now, if I could only find the cartridge...

I'm likely not going to play Apollo Justice for a while. I'm sad that Phoenix Wright is no longer the main character and most of the old characters have just been tossed aside. And I'm disappointed about what happened to a certain character, too. I am looking forward to Miles Edgeworth's game, though! I played a Flash demo of it today! Moving Miles is a bit awkward at first, but it seems like it will be an interesting game!

So what AM I going to be playing on my DS? Most likely I'll be continuing with Yoshi's Island 2 or Pokemon Mystery Dungeon: Blue Rescue Team. It's funny, I never really played the Pokemon main games that much, but I've been enjoying the side games, like Pokemon Snap.

Haven't done a bit of drawing since my last journal entry. I've been too into Phoenix Wright for that.... ;; So who do YOU think is the best for Phoenix romantically! XD

See, it's an obsession, I tell you! I even saw a stamp talking about PW obsession...

What will those three artworks be? Well, the first will be my Seiken Densetsu 3 piece, which I'll be starting soon. After that, I need to do my 3000 hit request pic, because I looked at my counter and realized that 5000 is coming soon! :0 And I would like to do a Christmas picture of some sort, though I have no idea of what I would do! I will have to think more on that to see if it's possible. Also, I really have a huge list of pictures I owe some dear friends of mine, and I really should get working on those!

November's one of my favorite months in Animal Crossing, because it's the month of mushrooms, which means more Mush pieces and elegant mushrooms which are worth 10,000 Bells! =3 And I've started the fourth case in Phoenix Wright: Trials and Tribulations! Yay, young Mia again! Can't wait to continue with the case!

I FINALLY paid off my second floor in Animal Crossing and got the basement at last! My basement is quickly becoming my favorite room because I'm making it a backyard room with a pool and doghouse and cute little tables and stuff! =3

got sick this week, and wouldn't you know it, he got ME sick, too! Sadly, I think he got it worse than me because he's missed 3 days of work from being ill, and I felt worst on a day I was off from work. I'm off today, too, and since I feel okay, I think I'll continue inking my OC picture and maybe get in some Phoenix Wright if my head's not too stuffed to think! XD

XD This past weekend, we watched "The Doomsday Machine" from the second season. Towards the end of the episode, we have Spock impatiently (well, impatient for a Vulcan, anyways!) calling "Mr. Scott" (aka Scotty) to get him to hurry up and fix that transporter before Kirk dies, oh t3h noes! I giggled and started calling "Yo! Mr. Scott!", and I swore that that would be my next journal title. So there you go. My crazy mind at work. XD

I finally finished Phoenix Wright: Justice for All! Yay! That last case was a whopper, and I was thrilled when the guilty party got convicted! I'm now on the second case of Trials and Tribulations. I liked getting to play as Mia, and it was hilarious how similar she and Phoenix act in the courtroom. I still do want to do a Mia cosplay at some point. I'm also still playing Final Fantasy X. I'm at Mount Gagazet, so I must be getting close-ish to the end (I think). The lake scene was SO romantic!

I can't believe it's already September! August went by so quickly... I've finished seven pictures so far this year, nearly one for every month, and I think my goal of finishing a dozen pictures this year is truly a possibility! W00t!

And if you haven't already seen it, check out comic, The 3 Little Princesses, aka T3LP. It is HILARIOUS, and stars Peach, Daisy, and Rosalina. It's the brainchild of he and , and they BOTH have some amazing artwork, too! So go visit! XD

I've been fairly productive, too, this past week! I started two different sketches. One's about done, and the other's just started. I should be scanning at least one of them on Sunday, if not both of them. And next week, art shall be complete! Yay! I guess having lots of days free is good motivation! XD

We have lots of strays outside our house who come for food. This past week, we did a mass TNR (trap, neuter, release) effort and got 9 cats spayed/neutered. The males are once again happily playing outside, while the females are still temporarily living with us while they recover from a more difficult surgery. I don't think some of them are happy here because they've never lived indoors in their lives. But at least they are safe. I'm such an animal softie...

A word of caution. Tang is a pain to clean up. No, I'm not blaming you, sweetie. ; Also, Spock (especially classic Spock) is SO COOL!!!! I love him and his logical mind! =3 And shame on everyone who makes fun of him on the Enterprise!

The sketch for She has been sitting in my sketchbook untouched for quite a while, and as I looked at it again, I definitely wasn't satisfied. I definitely want to keep the idea for that prompt, but I want to redraw it at a later time and hope it's more to my liking. I find it better not to work on one thing for a really long time for me for some reason. I'm going to give another prompt a try in the meantime, either Why or Spring, most likely Why.

I'm really excited about all the ideas I have for all of the pictures listed below, and I hope that I can post them as soon as possible. Now all I need is that motivation! XD

I am glad to be home, though. I missed my kitties! They were avoiding me like last year, so I guess they weren't as mad at our not being here... And I can do art again! I left my sketchbook at home, but to be honest, there was SO much going on on the ship that I never would have touched it! I only played my DS once. And I learned some interesting things about color underwater, and I hope to start applying it to my artwork! But we have to get a new tablet first!

I'm greatly enjoying Final Fantasy X, and I'm can't believe I hadn't played it earlier. I have the airship now, yay!

My sketchbook is buried in our room right now, so I haven't worked on anything since I finished my last picture last week. But I have been getting in some good game time, including Animal Crossing, which I've neglected for quite a while... And I actually died for the first time in Final Fantasy X, in the desert.

I've been debating what to do for my random picture. I want to do my silly Chrono Trigger picture, but it's the summer, and I have a summer sketch from last year in my sketchbook, so I'm thinking of doing that first, because it's so rare that I do something in the right season, LOL.

Less than three weeks till and I go on our cruise! ^-^ VACATION!!!!

Yay, because I'm working on contest entry, and it's due next Sunday! I've started looking at new tablets, though, and we'll probably get a Wacom Bamboo Fun next, because the Intuos is a bit too expensive for now.

Thank you to those of you who voted in my last journal! It looks like I'll be doing a silly Chrono Trigger picture next, and the next silly picture I do will be Paper Mario!

We now officially have our sixth kitty! We decided to take in Lucky's sister, since she was alone and abandoned, while Spikey has his mother and a brother and sisters. She's orange and white, and we've named her Cookie. =3 She's a little purrball!

I'm extending my rotation of pictures a bit. The new rotation will be:
-requests/gifts
-SD3 fanart100
-contests
-random pictures
-collaborations/requests/gifts
-picture series

I've been interested in doing series of pictures from a long time, and I have so many ideas. Pictures of my favorite couples, sweet family relationships (ie brothers, sisters), favorite scenes, game music inspired art (like the picture of Kid in my gallery), things like that! These pictures will likely be detailed and take a bit of time to complete. I won't be listing them in my to-do list so they will be a surprise. I hope they will be worth it, and I hope you will enjoy them!

They were moved to the neighbor's yard, and when she was going to clean it, we moved them to their last nest, and the mom-cat never returned, and it's been several days. They are only about 3 or 4 weeks, and still pretty much only nurse for food. We tried feeding the small kittens mother's replacement milk, but while one has gotten used to being fed by humans, the other hardly takes any milk in. The bigger kittens play with the smaller ones, and the smaller ones sometimes try to nurse on the bigger ones. Even the other feral cats get in on the snuggles. One of the little ones tried to nurse on the mother of the older litter, and after a few tries, she laid down in nursing position and the little guy started feeding. Some of her own litter joined him. So here's to you, mom-cat. You're a good mother. ~raises her water bottle~

I put up my first cat photo today! I won't put up every single picture of them that I take (since I take a LOT!), but I will put up particularly cute/artistic ones.

As for the second reference in my last journal title, it was the original Yoshi's Island! The bonus World 3 level was called "More Monkey Madness". It was a level that pretty much cemented my hatred of those watermelon seed-spitting critters in the game (but they're cute, too!)

request should be done within the next couple of days, so after that, I'll be working on my first SD3 fanart100 picture at last, as well as a contest picture whose deadline is drawing near. This is gonna be a productive month, I can feel it!

Lucky disappeared again the day after I wrote the last journal. Perhaps mom-cat hid him somewhere safe because of his constant wanderings, or perhaps she put him in another family's yard and someone else is caring for him now. I'd rather not think of other not-so-good possibilities...

There is another kitty from the second mom-cat's litter who looks a bit like Lucky. He looks like he has a handprint on his side. ^-^ Red's mom likes to call him Spikey, LOL, because his white fur looks like it's spiking up over his black fur. He already knows his name, and he purred for the first time with us when I was cuddling. Too bad most of the other kitties are hissing at him. It looks like he'll be added to the family in a few weeks or so when he's old enough to leave his mom.

My journal title is referencing something else besides icanhascheezburger. Guess what it is! If you guys get it right, you'll get a virtual cookie! =3

A most excellent day, worthy of an excellent adventure movie, LOL!

We briefly had a sixth cat. A little kitten, probably about 3 days old, got stuck in our deck and we had to pry up the wood to get the little one out. Neither its mother nor another mother cat took the kitten, so we took it in. It got mother's replacement milk, a little kitty bed (too little because that kitty liked to roam, probably how it got stuck), a bath, and of course love. But last night, the mother cat returned with two other baby kitties, our little one's littermates. We again introduced the kitty to her, and this time, she took it in, and the kitty joined the little mosh pit of kitties. We're sad, but glad that it's with its mama again, and when it's weaned off of her, we will take it in again, with the name Lucky. ^-^

Plus, this is usually about the time when the pool water is warm enough to go swimming again! Yay!!!

Our copy of Super Mario Kart deleted itself, so we have to win all the trophies all over again... ;_; But that should be fun, I think? I think Super Mario Kart was the only time I ever threw a controller, LOL. Maybe that was just Red's copy and mine is fine? Either way, we'll totally beat it again!

The fair was a blast! My favorite things were the food, the skyway, and this little coaster where the cars spin. And of course, the animals! I love seeing the bunnies and chicks and feeding the goats and other animals at the petting zoo! There was a show with Bengal tigers and pig races, too! Yeehaw!

The name's a cross of the town names we used for our individual towns (Onett for , Pufftown for me). We imported our characters from our DS game. I think my character has a spiffy hairdo! XD Each of us has different friend codes, because you can only visit one of us at a time (we're never in town together). So note one or both of us so we can exchange friend codes! Also be on the lookout for Jigglypuff shirts in the city! XD I make one every game! XD

I hope Bob comes to our town one day! He was always my favorite animal!

I started the last case of Phoenix Wright: Justice for All! The second case was probably my favorite of all the Ace Attorney cases so far. and I picked up the first Phoenix Wright Case Files book. It's a collection of little doujinshi from Japanese fans. I wish Capcom, or any game company, would make something like that with work from American fans. I would totally enter something! Anyways, I haven't read the book yet, just flipped through the art since I haven't finished the first three games yet. I did read a story involving a kitty since said it wasn't spoiler-y. 'Cause you know I just love kitties... ;_;

I... also started Seiken Densetsu 3 again. ;; But... but it's so I can be inspired to do request... Yeah, that's it! It's not like it's one of my favorite games or anything, and Angela's not like my favorite character or anything, either. Nope. Not at all. XD Thank you, , for the great excuse for more SD3! XD I'm doing a Rune Master/Lord/Ninja Master team this time!

and I are going to Anime Supercon October 31 - November 1. Well, HE'S at least going. I'm not sure if I have the time off yet. I hope so! Anyways, we don't have an artist's table or anything, but if you're gonna be there, let me know! Maybe next year, we might have an Artist's Alley table! Maybe.

I've been watching him play the past hour and a half. Now, I'm not really a MegaMan fan--I've only played the first game, and I didn't beat it. But this game is AWESOME! I mean, it's cute, it's 8-bit, it has some super-neat things, like magnets you can ride, and it's sprite-based!!! Oh, man, I love sprite-based games. They are so cute and can have great art styles. THIS is the way games should be made, I tell you! How do you feel about sprite-based games?

Still on the fifth case in Phoenix Wright. Oh my gosh, it is so LONG! I'm loving Edgeworth more and more! I think he needs a hug... =3 I'm not sure if I like Phoenix or Edgeworth more... They're both pretty cool, though.

Hopefully next time I write in this, I'll have beaten Phoenix Wright! XD

I had the great pleasure, while waiting for the bus, of watching eleven ducks crossing the street, stopping traffic in their wake. They were just too cute! (I'm sure that if you've been reading my journals lately, you will see that I absolutely ADORE cute things)

Got any plans for Labor Day tomorrow? I'm working part of the day, but we don't have any plans set in stone for when I get out of work. I'm sure it will involve dinner and/or a movie!

I fell over a plastic chair in my room last night... My ankle still hurts, not as much as when it happened, but I'm still going to lay in bed for the day. I think I'll draw and play more Phoenix Wright! =3

Not only does Chocobo look adorably pudgy and fuzzy, but he does the cuuuuuuuuuuuuutest things! He kwehs! He fishes with his tail! He swims like a little ducky! He plays in a park! And that White Mage costume! My cootitude meter is waaaaaaaaaay off the charts! And that's the way I like it! If you like cute, you MUST play this game!

I beat Actraiser today! The final battle was really hard because you're basically fighting seven bosses in a row (the last with two parts) and no healing whatsoever between them, including MP recovery. But I did it! Not sure what I'll play next...

One of the stray cats outside our house died last week. She was a very sweet and good kitty, hence why we called her Sweetie. I found out that she was actually older than our dog Pepe, and he's 16! So she had a long life. I hope she enjoyed it, and I hope she's happy now. Goodbye, Sweetie. I'll miss you.

At the hospital where the surgeon is, there's a body of water right in front with a walking path around it, and DUCKS congregate on one side. Well, I always wanted to go see the ducks, and now that I had to go to that hospital, I could! The ducks are pretty used to people on the trail, and approach them looking for food (if they don't see any, they walk away). Well, I had a few ducks come up to me. It was sooooooooo cute! If only and I remembered that we had a camera phone... ;_; Oh, well. I'd go there again just for the ducks... ^-^

and I also watched the Perseid meteor shower Tuesday night. Back home, I had good luck with meteor showers and saw quite a few meteors each here. But here in Miami, I haven't been having luck. But I did manage to see one meteor this year. Yay!

It's been four months now since I offered the requests with the requestees having to offer the same deal at their DA page. Only one person seemed interested, so I'm going to end that offer now. There are still five regular requests with no requirements of the requestees, though. So go ahead and request (please?).

It's weird, but everyone loves the Final Fantasy series, but for me, there are series that I like more. Like Seiken Densetsu, Tales of..., Chrono, Ogre Battle, etc. It's not that I don't like (most) Final Fantasy, it's just that there are series that I enjoy more. Our flat-screen TV is currently busted, so we'll be playing even more SNES games (since that's the only system hooked up to our regular TV at the moment) and portable games. I plan on playing Actraiser next, a game I remember fondly, and then... Phoenix Wright! I will finally know the joy of this game first hand!

I've had my request request (hee, that sounds funny!) up for three months, and no one but Red's taken me up on it! I'm thinking about offering 5 completely free requests (ie. you don't have to offer the ten requests yourself), which would probably be better for busy people. Any takers? =3 Same drawing rules as the other set of requests. Let me know if there'd be interest in this or the requests where you offer requests yourself. If there's no response after a month or so, I won't offer any more requests of any type for a while.

Death Note's ending was very cool and fitting! I have to admit to some cheering... XD

It was so so much fun and we wish we could've stayed there even longer! My mom and a few friends joined us at different points during the vacation, and it was so wonderful to see them all! And we ate and ate until we practically burst! XD And we had little anniversary pins (since we were celebrating our anniversary there, and lots of people were wishing us a happy anniversary!

I'm already back at work today... ~rolling eyes~ has till next Wednesday off, the lucky dog.

Today is the Fourth of July! Last year, we were in Mexico on that day during our honeymoon. This year, we can do our usual traditions--watch Pop Goes the Fourth, and perhaps ID4 as well! Plus, we're going to dethaw our top tier and eat it tonight!

I am SO excited about our trip! Disney World is my favorite vacation spot, and we're staying at my favorite hotel on property. And all that wonderful food! I wish we were leaving for the airport now!

1) My current obsession is Death Note (namely L!). In fact, I'm thinking about joining a Death Note/L fan club here at DA!

2) I'm an extremely lazy person, and I have to give myself a mental push to do things.

3) I have a massive backlog of games that I either haven't beaten or played at all, yet I continue to go back to old favorites like Seiken Densetsu 3 and Yoshi's Island.

4) I love cute things. LOVE. The cuter it is, the more I want to melt into a pile of goo, the more I adore it!

5) My favorite animal used to be bunnies, but I think I love kitties even more now. They're both super-cute, though!

6) I go to a chiropractor.

7) When a story has both a manga and an anime, I tend to prefer the manga (ie. Sailormoon), but sometimes I like the anime equally or more (ie. Cardcaptor Sakura).

8) I sometimes need 9 or more hours of sleep.

We saw Death Note the live-action movie last Tuesday! It was good, and Ryuk was so awesome! I was amazed at how well he animated and looked--he definitely fit into a live-action film! I kinda wish there was more Misa-Misa, though, and it's too bad she wasn't blonde, but that's okay. And Light was even MORE evil in the movie! And L, oh, L! Can't wait for the second one!

Work is keeping me really busy lately, so I haven't really had time to draw. I've even gotten overtime a couple of weeks! I promise I'll draw this week!
