DA isn't the most important, but I think that if I organize my time a little bit better I'll find some spare minutes for it.
But I look at my gallery and I feel that the most drawings in it no longer represent me. I could delete or scrap them (btw, with the new -well, I guess it's not that new- interface I can't find how to scrap deviations!), but I still like them in some way, and I don't want them to disappear, I don't want to forget how I've arrived where I am today.
So I've decided to start all over again, with a new account (well, an account I created a long time ago just to keep the nickname). I'll lose all the watchers, favourites and comments, but I think it's for good.

I've finished all the important projects now so I hope until june or so I won't be too busy.

I'm really exited because at school we've started web design, and that's what I'd work on once I get my degree. I love CSS.

I'm also proud to announce that although it doesn't look like it, I've passed my English exam and now I've got the Certificate in Advanced English, with Grade B.



Now I'll be uploading some of my school projects and other illustrations, and checking all the +300 deviations @_@

Whatever... I'm really really really REALLY busy with university, so I'm not round DA a lot. I can't comment on all the devs of all the people I'm watching, and I can't thanks to the people who comment or fave on mine T_T Sorry guys! I try to read all the comments and look all the devs I can anyway.

I'm trying to be a little bit more organized with my work, but it's hard, I've always been a complete disaster with these kind of things.

Summercase Festival, Barcelona

It was great, although the timetables were terrible, and a lot of great bands played at the same time. The worst day was Friday, when I only could see 2 whole concerts, Adam Green and Daft Punk. And I didn't really enjoy Daft Punk, I don't like electronic music and I can't understand seeing those bands "live". I mean, they're just 2 guys standing in a sort of UFO, they're not actually playing any instrument. Don't take me wrong, I respect the people who like this kind of music, I'm not saying it's bad, it's just that I don't understand it.
I saw some more bands, like Belle & Sebastian, Super Furry Animals, The Cardigans, Massive Attack.. I really wanted to see Sparks, but I just could see 2 songs! But anyway, those guys are really funny! I enjoyed those 2 songs more than any other whole concert.
On Saturday it was a little bit better, I saw 4 whole concerts: Dandy Warhols, Starsailor, New Order and Primal Scream. New Order were a little bit disappointing, like the last time I saw them, but the others were awesome. I also saw part of Happy Mondays, Keane (I don't really like them, but well) and Razorlight.
So, Summercase was ok, but nothing compared to Benicassim!


FIB, Benicassim

The first day I saw Scissor Sisters, I had a lot of fun. They played too many songs of their upcoming album in my opinion, but they were great anyway.
On Friday, I discovered a great french band, Dyonisos. They did an excellent concert, one of the best of the festival. After I saw The Futureheads (really boring) and, at 22.25... Pixies! There were A LOT of people, I was caught between two fat drunken sweaty men without shirt, disgusting! But I had a lot of fun, Pixies are one of my favourite bands. But they stopped the concert for nearly half an hour, because people was pushing too much, and in total I think they played for 40 minutes..
After I saw Echo & the Bunnymen, which were great, and Strokes.
The next day I saw El Columpio Asesino, a spanish band which I highly recommend even if you don't understand our language. In fact, even I can't understand some of the things they sing. But the concert which I was looking forward to seeing was Morrissey, of course. Luckily, this time he turned up, and he played great. Maybe he could have played more classic songs, from The Smiths or from his other albums, but anyway, he was great! That day I also saaw Rufus Wainwright, Nada Surf and Franz Ferdinand. All of them were fantastic!
The last day I saw Yann Tiersen, who was a pleasant surprise. I only had listened to Amelie OST, and I was expecting that kind of songs, but he was quite different, much more like a rock band. He was great, anyway. I couldn't see all his concert, because I had to go to Madness, which were incredible. I hadn't listened much of them, just the typical songs, but they did an excellent concert, they made everybody dance and jump. And after, Depeche Mode! A lot of people said they were boring, but it was one of the best concerts I've ever seen, and I'm not a big fan, I just know their hits. Dave Gahan is a great frontman, and Martin (dressed like a.. chicken!?) did great on the guitar. He sang 2 songs too, absolutely incredible.
Then I nearly fell asleep at Placebo.. they just played one song of each of their 2 first discs, which in my opinion are the best ones. Really disappointing.
And at last, dEUS. Another great concert. Just one song of the Ideal Crash album (which is my favourite one), but great anyway. They finished the concert with Roses! So beautiful... A great way to end the festival.
So, the concerts were absolutely amazing. However, the organization of the festival could have been better. There were too much people, the toilets were disgusting, and the security was not excellent neither.. I saw some guys with a bottle of wine, when glass bottles are not allowed.. and it's not easy to hide such a big thing.
But anyway, even with all the problems, the extremely hot weather, the uncomfortable tent, the disgusting toilets and the sweaty fat men without shirt, I never had such a great time before! I hope next year I can go too!

Although I absolutely agree that Comic Sans is an awful font and it's over used in fields where it just CAN'T fit, there is a font that is just as bad (or even worse). My friends, the font I am talking about is no other than the well-known Arial.
Why?
It's just a bad copy of one of the most sacred fonts, Helvetica. It's true that Helvetica might have been overused too; its clean lines, its balance, have made of Helvetica a typography that can be used for everything, but some people think that it also has a lack of character.
But Helvetica deserves its own reputation, and I hate that most people know Arial, but ignore the existence of Hevetica. The only reason for this is that Bill Gates decided not to pay the rights of Helvetica and include Arial (which was cheaper) in Windows instead. And obviously (and sadly) Windows is the most common operating system.

I'm doing a project for university about a controversy in the world of art and design, and I'd be very grateful if you spent a few minutes giving your opinion about it. It's really important to me, please, it won't take you much time!
The controversy about which I'm doing my project is whether if music videos can be considered a work of art or not. As I have to analize the differents factions, I really need the opinion of different people. So please, could you tell me what do you think and why? It doesn't have to be long, I don't want to take too much of your time, just a few lines.
Is the music video a piece of art or it's just a way to discredit music, treating it just like a product that has to be sold?

So let's write about FRANZ FERDINAND CONCERT!!!!!!! Aaaaah, I'm still excited. It was one of the best concerts I've ever seen. Outsiders song was great, there were 3 guys playing the drums. The same drums. Woah. It was great, really, I highly recommend you to go to a Franz Ferdinand concert. Now, C'mon, GO! As long as you like Franz Ferdinand, of course. The Rakes were supporting them, they played great too, but the disc is quite boring. A lot better live.

I really LOVE it, but it's quite stressing. I have to do a lot of technical drawings... and I suck at technical drawing! buuuut I also do some other interesting things.. like calligraphy! I love it! It was great, they played 2 Joy Division's songs (Transmission and LOVE WILL TEAR US APART!), Bizarre Love Triangle, True Faith, Temptation... and they ended the concert with Blue Monday!!!! Awesome
I'm really happy ^^
