I really loved the feeling of this entry, the wind specially takes a very important part without being accelerated. Also, the author caught Sahara's emotional essence quite well.

She worked out the character very well in her own style. It is quite expressive and the composition looks balanced without the need of excessive detail.

Simply love it! I love Geena's shiny eyes, Murky II's (freetre's oc) expression, the whole movement it has and the story and feeling it has behind.

I think she is not even aware of me having a DA account, and she hates me submitting my dawings and she is very afraid of giving her address...I'll do this somehow...cos if I receive the badge one day and she notices it she will be a little angry and will scld me forever for giving my address without her permission.

Skin: VERY white. (cos he's a vampire)
Clothing: feel free to design it too. If it is useful, he wearas 18th century clothes very often.
Other: Phaet can touch Sahara without dying for 2 reasons. The first is that he's dead already and the second one is that he's got the magic of his destroyed planet inside him.

Geena Grey (or Mrs. Starrynight):

I've been recently asked A LOT by different persons wether I will or not go on drawing winx art. Specially I've been asked if I will finish the Winx in Dreamland.

Guys, really...if you feel you only like my winx art then go fave the few pics I have about that and then remove me from your watchlist, I don't want to spam your message boards with art you don't like.

Why am I saying this? because it's getting on my nerves. I know it is obvious that fanart will have more audience because it is not like looking up for a random theme, but it's frustrating that I et much more faves and comments on crappy fanart than on the deviatuions I spend more effort on. My most popular deviation is the Winx in Dreamland thing with Bloom and that's in my opinion among the worse of my pics.

I'm not saying that I will make winx fanart no longer (perhaps I will do some in a not so distant future), but please don't expect me to fill my gallery with it. I enjoy drawing the winx but if bothers me a little that the characters do not feel mine, and the style (tho it's very much like mine) does not feel that comfortable either.

Please stop insisting about this. The more people that tell me about it the more frustrated I become and the less I want to make it.

If you want an idea for a bg, Vincent and Geena live in a caslte on a planet caled Greyscale, which looks like a beautiful old photograph without color. Greyscale has Death spots which are dark, in eternal nights, very dangerous and there's no life there unless you count ghosts as life. It also has Life spts, which are scarce and are very colorful and pintoresque, and candy literally grows from trees.

So the idea of making a contest is attracting me. My main idea for the contest is for ppl to draw my oc, Geena Grey ^^...but I also consider Sahara...a lot...

Maybe I could give options to you...draw the one you want.

But I don't know...I don't even have enough watchers as to do so...and that makes me doubt of it. Also, the prizes...they would be pretty small I think T-T

Rawr, and that's pretty bad because I have a pic that almost literaly made my fingers bleed. I wanted to show it off so madly...

Well, I'll have to wait I guess. Perhaps your server is not doing the same as mine, so your deviations will keep me alive XD

Hmm...I wonder what's wrong with the server...alst time I was also havign trouble to submit ANY comment. Perhaps I submit so often that DA wants to excommunicate me. I mean 168 are plenty of pics for less than a year...

I'm feeling cold now...not like the cold you feel when you get out of the shower on a winter day and the freezing air strikes you, but the kind of coldness you feel...when it seems you don't feel at all. I'm so... un-excited. My face is expressionless...could it be I'm becoming a vampire? XD just kidding. (and I'm not even smiling now). But then again, I think I'm simply bored. I'll go to read after I'm done with this...

I have the ideas for my next drawings. I will try another entry for the Checkers and Rainbows contest and I have a clear image in my head of how I want it to be. I am also plannining a drawing involving a foggy city, which I also have clear in my head, and then I also want to make a dreawing of the Vampire Lestat...I wish it turns out well...

Alright, I must stopo writting becasue this must be more boring to read than what it is to write it. OK, that was a lie, I actually enjoy it, writting journals.

Well...just wanted to write the last journal entry of the year and thank you everyone who watches me or simply commented on a deviation. Specially thanks to the watchers who like my non-winx stuff XDD cos I think I got most of my watcehrs with my winx art, it is not hard to notice how much feedback I get with fanart in comparison with the one I recieve with my other art.

I'm into two contests and both made me have lots of fun with the entries (tho I still wnat to make a second entry for one of them!)However, it doesn't matter much if I win or not. After all, I really liked how my entries went and they were very good practices for my coloring and I made my brain work XD

I expect great pics from myself new year, sicne now I will be able to apply some of the skills I'm getting at the painting classes and now I discovered that I can make very clean sketches *v*
clean sketches=leave more space for details e.e

Besides, I already have 3 ideas for my fist 3 drawings of the year and the three of them are really good...well for me at least. You'll see them later if I decide to post them here XD

What else?...yester day I was out of the city for shopping *w* my best purchases were 2 books: Stardust by Neil Gailman and The Vampire Lestat by Anne Rice. Cos I fell in love with Lestat win Interview with the Vampire.

Lestat pwns Edward Cullen e.e *knows Twilight lovers will want to flame*

By other good purchases were four very veryfine-pointed brushes and two colored pencils I wanted. This is the first time I decide to blow the dust away from my money and spend it....XD

I'm a bit nervous about school this year, I have a pretty BIG excellence scolarship taht I kept for the first semester and want to keep it the rest of highschool... specially because there will be an economic crisis and the school I'm in is not at all cheap. Specially I want to study hard for French, I'll work hard to improve the grade in that class. It's t really bad (it's a 9.2 actually), but it is way under my expectations...yeah I'm such a nerd XD

Then again, than you for this wonderful year, everyone ^^ there were times in which your comments made my days!

So i'm adding watermarks because I don't want to add a signature to my pics in real life...cos I don't have one lol. And it would have to be in the corner and it can be removed in MSpaint.

I don't want to say this but I have to...my mother was right Â¬Â¬ she says I should not have a DA account because I was going to be stolen one day and she was right 9.9 I don't want to tell her about this because she will punish me about forever and will make me delete each deviation and each image from my Photobucket account....she takes it a little too seriously I think...perhaps she thinks I could live on selling these pics, and that's funny because I didn't consider them as 'art' until VERY recently, when my art teacher (who is REALLY good and even recognized in the country) told my mother that my pics had lots of artistic value and blah blah blah.

I googled my username and found a site called gosupermodel or something like that in which a girl posted 3 of my pics. She posted pics of different artists as well, but don't know them ^^U The site is in some language I don't understand...from Belgium or some country close to it...the thing was that it said 'stardustthief by me' as a title for one, '

andora by me <3' for another and 'stardust by me' for the third one....but I can't accuse her sicne I don't really know what the site is about or what does she try to say...but here's the link-[link]

My name? Stardust is...dust from stars. Thief is a person who steals, so the meaning is pretty obvious.
I joined DA...because I wanted to be able to fave and comment...then I started submitting and I found that pretty fun.

I'm not really sure what a fandom is...

Now, what the journal is about. I sense an essay coming...

I casually came to a stamp last time that said that most of anime sucked. I don't want to mention the author beacause I know there are people that could go and flame him/her. The author did not speak with any agressivity or appeared to be writing the typical rant, but just telling the people to be open to other things, not only anime. (I do like anime, but I do think that we should be open to more things too). I noticed many people flamed the deviation because they like anime, and took the comment more personally than they should have taken it.

I know it sounds like I was looking for trouble, but I went up looking for more anti- anime stuff. I felt disappointed...many otakus flamed these people, while some of these persons were not being impolite, but simply expressing themselves. I even read a comment that said something like 'if you insult anime, you're insulting me' or something similar, I don't even want to remember. People that like anime were really harsh on people who didn't, and it seemed to me like a sort of war. What seems even worse is that some anime lovers seemed not to pay attention to what the authors of these deviations really wrote.

Why not try putting on the others' shoes? For example, one of the points that some deviants have against anime is that there is too much of it on DA, and if you look carefully, they are right, ther is a lot of anime in DA indeed, like it or not. If you do like it, it must be like a paradise, but if you dislike it...then I think it must be like hell. I relate this with my dislike to reggaeton music, which is so popular nowadays. For the ones who like it is very fun to go out and listen to that music everywhere, but if you, like me, hate it, then it is extremely annoying to go to anywhere and hear that. Another critique for anime is that 'all of them look the same'. And yeah, some basic structres make it look familiar, but of course they are EXACTLY the same. Again my comparison to reaggaeton; it all sounds the same to me because I don't like it, and for consequence I don't know much about it nor I want to learn, so I cannot differ the different styles inside this medium. So, how can you expect a person who deosn't like anime to distinguish every minor detail between an artist's art and another's? I can't blame them, to be honest.

One more point. I also read that anime artists become easily popular. That makes me jealous by the way, but I understand why it happens. If you have your own style and don't make fanart, it will be harder to find your art when you search by tags. people don't usually look for 'random style' in their search bar, and even if they did, I don't think many people tag their devs this way. It's like finding an interesting page on a book without goint to the index first, and even if you did, the index is unlikely to dedicate a page number for it.

Oh my, ppl will flame me for this journal....

Well, what I think is that we should be respecful towards the others' opinions and art. Because...it's art! That's what art is all about, letting your imagination flow, not making wars!

My conclusion would be to let others be. If you don't agree with them, be polite, there's is not need to insult people. If you find someone who insults anime, don't feel offended, it's not like they are insulting you PERSONALLY. If they say 'I hate all anime lovers', I don't think they really mean it, perhaps the've just met the aggressive sort of otakus that flame people who don't like anime. No need to be rude and flame others, just express yourself camly and tell a VALID argument, don't just go 'you are wrong'.

I am begging you to read this, there is an online stalker,(!jere1234, !Caeruleum, !kyakuchuu, all the same person.) who recently attacked a dear friend of mine,*Kays-elle-belle. DA has resolved the situation, but this situation is something people need to be cautious and aware of. He has been blocked but theres always a chance that he'll make another account. Im going to post what's in her journal and if you notice any patterns of similarity, please contact DA IMMEDIATELY. This guy has gone thorough great lengths to contact my friend such as making new accounts and pretending to be other people who he's not. If you would, PLEASE copy this entire message and let other DA members know about this threat. the more people know, the better chance users have of not becomming a victim. So please,read, copy and post this again so this information can spread and no one else gets hurt. There is safty in numbers and this sort of thing needs to be stopped!

This man is most likely a serial killer or sexual predator of some sort. Deviant art staff is handling this for me right now. The man originally added me as Jere1234 and then he notified me that he would be switching to Caeruleum. He asked that I add him. Thinking he was just some nice man who liked my artwork I said "Sure, why not?" On this account he began writing some poems about and TO my girlfriend Kayla, and I. I began to find this odd but being an overly naive and trusting person I was polite about it, commented the poems, thanked him, so on. He wrote a poem about a lifestyle choice that I thought he spent alot of time critisizing for being different than his own and I believe I posted a comment as simple as "Gosh, what have you got against that, anyhow?" The man literally flipped out. He not only wrote two journal entries condemning me and calling me things between immature and evil, but he also sent me notes telling me how "disappointed" he was with me. A man that I don't know in real life, have only talked to online for a few days, is "disappointed with me." He blocked me, and I blocked him back.

Not long after I began to get several favorites and then a watch from the account Kyakuchuu. I noticed the similar style of poetry and similar interests but I hate people who make assumptions and I'd rather not be one of them, so I just figured it was another poet with similar interests. "Kyakuchuu" soon after began calling Kayla and I "muses" and writing poems about us as well. 2KL he called them-- and informed me that this meant "To Kayla and Ellie" There is a numerous list of them in his gallery. He favorited absolutely every work of mine with Kayla in it along side of me and also any of my pictures that showed my feet. (foot fetishist, obsessive personality: bad sign) He wrote me notes telling of his extensive admiration for Kayla and I, his plans for other poems about us, thanking me for being his "inspiration". All of this seemed very creepy, but I was always thinking, what if this is really just some eccentric old man minding his own business, and he just hasn't got anything better to do. I would hate to just hurt some innocent old man by lashing out at him for no reason. HOWEVER upon talking to Kayla about this, she has taken criminal justice classes. She said that many of these traits sounded like BAD traits and BAD signs. She told me about a type of serial killer called "collecters" Who will collect information, pictures, anything about their subjects, and obsess over them, for a long time before they make any move. She told me that alot of the time these men will be too smart for their own good and seem kind of innocent but mostly very mysterious. I had 115 plastic protectors there-that's about 230 drawings, not counting the small ones, which occupy less space, so I had about 250 drawings, all colored.
So...I found a binder just like my old one at home...it used to be my sister's algebra binder, but she uses it no more and it appears to be new. I had to take some drawings out from the old one and put them in the new one, because the rings of the poor thing needed an extrahauman force XD

told me yesterday about the possibility of a second winx club movie and a fourth season. I saw a pic and it says that they have new transformations...tho the website does not assure it. I didn't like the new transfos that much ToT I wish they do not use them instead of the enchantix!!! But eventhough, I'm visitting the winx official website (in italian, because they have everything first for ovbious reasons)for news.

Also,I wanna tell you that I dreamt of new trasnformations for the winx about a week ago. I don't remember the details that much anymore but I'll try drawing Bloom's, the one that's the clearest in my head. Pff...I should have drawn them all a week ago when I had the chance. And sadly...I've completely forgotten the boys's transformations. I just remember they were awesome!!! (Yeah they had transfos...the best one was Rivens ;D)

I've got something else Winx related for this journal. My sister and I have been talking about some incoherence in the show....
For example, in season 1, Bloom says something about pizza, and nobody knows it. Yet, in the third season, they fight wtih Chimera for a pizza at Magix o_O
Not incoherence, but something I realized. On the fist seaosn, they are all 16 but Stella, who is 17. Second season, second year at alfea, Winx= 17 (Stella 18). Third, W=18, S=19. Movie W=19, S=20. Hey there....they still look like they are 16 years old xD.
In the second season, they get their charmix, but they never used it in te third season before getting their enchantix.
I'm not sure about this, but I think in season 1 teacher Faragonda transforms...IÂ´m not sure about this, but it was not an enchantix.
Why does Diaspro's regular trasnformation have two colors instead of one?
In the first season, it is said that Alfea is the only fairy school in the magical realm. then, how come Chimera is in another school?

Heehee I don't rememebr more of these stuff but wel...I love the show though!!! XD and I can't wait to see if there will eb a fourth season!!! And I'm still waiting to watch the first movie *sighs* I watched it on youtube in italian...but I don't understand much...it has some similarities with spanish and I can guess the meaning of some other words because of latin roots but that's about it...
