Alright so a LOT has been happening since then. I couldn't draw too much during school because like, university's pretty challenging. Also started dating someone new (remember that friend "Bodzay" I mentioned in my last note? The one who said I love vikings? Yes him), and like, things are going incredible.

The point of this post is to let you know what's coming up. Apparently my work is getting a bit more popular...I get favorites every week for some reason, mainly on my pieces Waluigi the Dark Bomber, any of the SOAD portraits (which are hella old), and some others. I don't know if you recall, but I've been working on a graphic novel on the side. I had two different writers at one point, but I just got fed up and decided to take the whole thing to myself, and write it all myself as well. It's taking a while finishing off Chapter I because my previous writer left me at a HUGE roadblock of a character (literally, just wait until you see this guy). I know how to get out of it! Now I just need the motivation to draw out the pages and stuff. Trust me, it's a lot of motivation. When I'm stuck on pages and characters I don't really like, they take me forever to complete...sorry. I really do want to show you guys some of the pages, but I will probably only do so once Chapter I is finished.

MEANWHILE I've been working on the main villain of Volume I and part of II most likely. His name is LOXIAS (the Damned). There is a VERY old portrait of him in my gallery that is worth checking out, although it is crap compared to what I'm working on now. I've been working on this portrait of Loxias for a while, adopting part of the style I used for the Waluigi drawing I did, except with some more graphic novel/comic style as well. It's proving to be difficult and taking long because of his stupid ass tentacles, but once the tentacles are done, I'm in the home stretch. I need to shade and color the suckers on the tentacles, then go on to clothing and stuff, which shouldn't take too long. I can't wait until this guy's done.

I've also been developing the main main MAIN villain of the whole story with the help of Tyr's new album, "Land". The song "Land" on there is the main inspiration for him (kinda like how Sword Chant by Ensiferum's the main inspiration for Loxias). Yeah, pretty awesome.

Remember how I did like an album cover and stuff for an EP for a local band here called Ammonia? Well they recently asked me to do album artwork for their FULL-LENGTH album. Yes, my dear fans. Full-length. I'm psyched, and my vocals will also be featured on one of those tracks .

Okay, let's begin:

1) I have a hereditary sleep disorder(s): hypnagogia/hypnopompia and sleep paralysis. Look it up, I don't feel like explaining. Basically, I sometimes hallucinate before I fall asleep, and sometimes I wake up to find myself paralyzed and scared.

2) I'm in love with vikings. My friend Bodzay even said so last night, he was like "Ash thinks guys with horns are hot", and I do. They're gorgeous. I love vikings, what can I say.

3) I hold grudges too. I think after receiving a certain amount of pain, there's no way to just shrug it off and forget about it. Especially when it scars your life and the way you act.

4) I'm claustrophobic. Just yesterday, the metro was late on the green line, and a crapload of people went onto the same car as me, and I was freaking out. I didn't show it, but damn was I ever scared.

5) I get along better with guys. I think it's because most of the girls I know are stuck-up bitches. Guys are just, so much cooler, and funnier too.

6) I would've been named Charles had I been a guy. There's a thing on my Dad's side of the family where first-born males are supposed to be named Charles, and second-borns have the middle name Charles.

7) I've been a first-dan black belt since I was 14 years old.

8) Carpal tunnel syndrome sucks.

I think I will get some drawings up here though that aren't graphic novel related. I haven't drawn in my little sketchbook in a while so I should probably do that. I don't know what to draw though...I'll figure it out. Watch it be another picture of my boyfriend and I.

Other than that, life's been peachy. I have a sick job, awesome boyfriend, been to some parties, played some xbox with an assload of close friends, and yeah. I have nothing to complain about for once .

ok well here it goes-----

1. My taste in music is just bizarre. I love just about all styles of Metal; bands include In Flames, Lordi, Mastodon, Dream Theater, Children of Bodom, Sonata Arctica, Rhapsody of Fire, Dimmu Borgir, Kalmah, System of a Down, Mudvayne, etc. Now, In Flames is part of the Gothenburg-styled heavy metal. Lordi...well I guess they're more hard rock but they're pretty cool. I don't know how to describe them. Mastodon's like, progressive hard metal stuff. Dream Theater, progressive. COB is death. Sonata Arctica, power metal; Rhapsody of Fire, symphonic power metal. Dimmu, symphonic black metal; Kalmah, black metal. System of a Down, nu-metal. I also really enjoy classic rock, and I love My Chemical Romance and Billy Talent believe it or not. OH YEAH! I also love Classical. Isn't that a bizarre list?

2. I have no Asian heritage, yet my eyes make me look it. Until I was 5 years old, I looked Asian to the point where people would ask where my parents adopted me. Now I don't look so much, but I still get people asking if I have an Asian grandparent or something. I think it's because I have astigmatism in my eyes and they're shaped more like footballs. It's so weird.

3. I have hypnogogia; where I hallucinate in the state of "falling asleep" I guess. It's pretty bizarre. When I'm about to fall asleep, I will hear noises very clearly in my room that are NOT there at all (e.g. one time I woke up to a little girl whispering my name). I also have a rare case where my body will start shaking or twitching (it feels like my bed's shaking but it's me). Sometimes I'll wake up and see part of my dream as well for as long as 15 seconds. Yeah. When I fall asleep in class, I luckily don't have these hallucinations.

4. When typing on a keyboard, I don't type properly at all, yet from what I know, I'm the fastest out of everyone I know.

5. I watch American Idol. And I enjoy it.

6. I've really been singing for a freaking long time but only exposed it last summer. And apparently I'm good.

Future works to come include a drawing of the old bassist of Lordi, Kalma, and probably Jani from Sonata Arctica. I also plan on drawing Alexi Laiho from Children of Bodom. I'll probably pull out a portrait of In Flames too because they're my favorite band and all. I also want to redo my System of a Down stuff.

Rush tour dates are updated tomorrow (well, today really) and I can't wait! They better come to Montreal yo! I'm also seeing Lordi on May 1st, MCR on May 8th, and Sonata Arctica in September. I'll probably be seeing Kamelot this summer as well. Such a great time for concerts and CDs!!!

Anyway another piece of work that should be up eventually (which I have to start) is for homework. Anyone ever read I NEVER PROMISED YOU A ROSE GARDEN? It's amazing! I had to read it for English class and I have to make a draiwng based on the imagery in the book. Should be fun considering one of the main character's imaginary schizoid Gods is on FIRE!

So there I was, sitting at my computer on a Saturday night killing my eyesight by staring at a computer screen. Judy recently ditched me online, when I said, "HEY! I'm going to watch Phantom of the Opera!" So I did. And I cried at the end as usual. God I love that movie.

I can't wait to show Rob the latest Banderites comic. He might be reading this right now, so I'm not going to reveal what's in it.

So I'm getting used to the workload already and it's Week #3. I've gotten first assignments/quizzes whatever back and they weren't as great as I thought, but hey, the marks are starting to pick up with the second wave of work. I'm surprisingly doing better in Chemistry. I think it's because I'm actually working and I have a much better teacher in my opinion.

So next week's Bander paper is going to have 5 COMICS PAGES!! That's right people, an Insert for Sus4 Life! Four pages will be FULL of Sus4 Life material. I think I might actually explain characters and stuff on one of the pages. This should get the paper close to caught up with the webcomics on the Internet. We're working on #27, and in the paper, we're at #6.

I've got quite a bit of art to start working on, and I only realized it now. I think next week or this weekend actually I'll start the Knockdown poster and the Ammonia flyer(s). And of course, I'll do homework.

I laughed my ass off in Bander the other day. I think it's because I noticed that a good part of my old High School friends joined the Gamers club, or at least hang out there. I had the giggles for a while with Judy and Rob about that. Wow, I'm such an asshole.

School started, and the first week has passed. Already, I have a crapload of work to do. It's a little overwhelming but I should get through it. I have to color the two comics that are due at the end of the week, and it's Friday. Usually I start the coloring before Friday! ARGH!

K, my freaking Physics teacher still didn't post up my marks. I kinda need to plan my next semester's schedule, and I NEED TO KNOW IF I FAILED! I got a new Graphire4 (WACOM) tablet for Christmas, and it's got one hell of a smooth surface. It's a lot better than my old one and has a 6 x 8 (inches) frame. Since then I've been really inspired to draw and improve my coloring techniques.

Wow, I FINALLY FINISHED READING IT BY STEPHEN KING! My goodness what a good book! I got the movie for Christmas and can't wait to watch it. It's got so many moments that are drawable. I feel more confident about how I'm "vertically challenged" (short) considering Alexi Laiho's probably as tall as I am. Alexi Laiho's the singer/guitarist of Children of Bodom for those who don't know. He's awesome.

So there I was, sitting on the bus with Dan and Graham when suddenly, Dan used his asthma pump and stuck his head out the window.

Don't ask. I'm starting to catch on with how Graham likes to start stories. So I decided to steal it for that one sentence. Yeah, Cegep rocks. I actually don't mind taking bus because I'm usually with my friends.

I still haven't seen Saw II! Will promised me to go this weekend, thank goodness, because I keep hearing about how awesome it is. He better take me this weekend.

Oh man!!! I'm so excited! Hypnotize, SOAD's latest album, is coming out November 22! Yeah, I know, I'm being a little lazy with the last part of the SOAD band mural thing. I still have to sketch John Dolmayan and then I can ink and stuff. I'll probably do that this week. I didn't start it because of the Sus4 Life Halloween thing I had to do.

KICKSTART MY HEARTT!! Sorry, blaring some Motley Crue over here. Always makes me energetic. Now it's time to forget the energy and be a little reflective.

So, Sibeal's Halloween Party was last night, and it was okay. I had some good times, and some bad, but let's face it, it was expected. Ever since Cegep started, the group split up, and I think it permanently split. There's nothing else I can do to keep the ties tight like they used to be. I'm not going to make the same mistakes. People I used to be really close with are just no longer there and are simply with each other. I'm one of the outcasts.

But, on a brighter note, I don't really care. I am an artist, and I am independent. I concentrate on my studies, my job, the growing relationship with my boyfriend, and most importantly, my family. I've dealt with a lot of bad stuff in my life, and my strength developped to the point where I won't deal with anything else. I'm portrayed as a very cold person to some, but those who know me know how giving I can be. Those of you who have shunned me, I wish you all a great life.

So, I'm sitting here in my Enhancing Computer Knowledge class at school, and my teacher's not here yet so I'm here writing this stuff. Before, I ate lunch, and then I bumped into my friends Daniel and Samer. Okay, Samer is really irritating (in a good friendly way), because whenever I walk in front of him, he pulls on my backpack and I end up almost falling. Then, he starts to poke me. WHY DOES EVERYBODY POKE ME?!?!!?!?! Dan started laughing which encouraged Samer to poke me more, which is SOOOO not fair!

I'm tired. Having a Chemistry lab in the morning stresses me out because we have to do that lab and write it up in two hours during class. Yeah, so, we had a crapload to do for that lab today. But, the good thing is that we mixed Iron (III) ions with Thiocyanate ions (no, I didn't look at my book to spell THIOCYANATE...I pathetically know how to spell it myself), and the equilibrium reaction came out as some red-orange mixture. Pretty sad how I'm up early considering I only start school at 1:00 PM. I felt like getting up early to relax and draw a bit. This gives me about two hours to do so.

Alright, yes, it's quite late (or early if you think of it). I have many projects I will be wanting to complete this summer, including improving on my Photoshop cel-style coloring. Bleedman inspires me, and I would love to color somewhat close to as well as he can.

Updates with art stuff...well let's just say I restarted the comic, and I'm actually coloring it. It has a better and more solid storyline and what not. You might not understand the first couple of pages, and I wish I could tell you stuff but I can't because I want you to have the luxury of figuring it out yourself. I realized that drawing this comic is a great way for me to vent. Venting is good for me, and I usually get incredibly in trouble whenever I vent as I write. First off, my grammar sucks, and second, usually the people I vent about stumble upon my writing. Meh, as if I really care, right? The great thing about this comic is it's based on real life (not necessarily the people having powers). It's based purely on real feelings and real events (exceptions: physical fights between villains and superheros blablabla you know). Back to the point. You want to know WHY it's a great way to vent? Heh, because no one really knows if I'm being serious in the comic. They'll see their character being picked on and think it just has to do with the comic. I think you'll understand what I mean when you see Page 5 ^-^.

Ok so people on the NY/Washington trip come back today...oh how dreadfully exciting. I actually am looking forward to seeing Tash, Kirsti, Kyle, Lauren, Ennis (yes, even Ennis), and people like that, but there are of course two I wish I can't see tomorrow. Of course, you'll probably understand when you read the upcoming page. Oh well, enough about that.

I got the new Queens of the Stone Age CD (Lullabies to Paralyze), and I must say I am incredibly surprised at how awesome it is. I get the same impression listening to it as I listen to their last CD, Songs for the Deaf. Really awesome stuff, QOTSA. I am looking forward for Mudvayne's new CD, Lost and Found, and especially System of a Down's, Mezmerize. I've been DYING to hear new stuff from SOAD since Grade 9, and I finally have by discovering Cigaro and BYOB. And I also discovered In Flames is currently working on new stuff too, HOW EXCITING!

Ok so last night I went to Tohom's! Oh my GOD I haven't laughed that hard in SO LONG. Chels, Dan K, Mozi, Nick G, Niall, and Superman were there as well, and my God was it ever funny! Hehe, Chels, we kick major butt in pool!! HAHAHA! That was hilarious!!!

I started getting to know the other Dan and it was cool. Not only is he hilarious but he's nice too. I killed Tohom and Dan in Halo 2, and it's funny because I never played that game before. HEH! Nick has the coolest guitar pedal, and I think I'm going to save up for it cuz it's so awesome. I played some guitar last night with the guys.

Oh man, so many people are on the New York/Washington trip, and it's boring. I'm bored out of my mind right now, but hey, I started drawing page 4 of the comic, and I'm actually almost finished the sketch. I think the comic's plot will be actually leading to something after a while.

I'm sorry I haven't updated it in a while, I've been so busy with school and other stuff. I'm back in the drawing mode, so hopefully you'll expect more drawings coming from me lately.

Personal Project is going to be handed in the day after tomorrow. I have a couple of little mistakes, yet again, to fix. I didn't even go to my mentor for that, I went to the big cheese of the projects (Weber).

I think the second comic's doing pretty well, except for the fact I guess I should continue it sooner or later. Tohom got quite the kick out of it today at lunch. I think he almost pissed himself laughing, which made me feel good. I got quite some laughs from Billy, CUG, Sibbs, and well of course, Chlc. I'm too scared to post them on deviantART for some reason, especially since no one on here would understand what would be going on because they don't know the people the characters are based on.

Ahh...Nightwish relaxes me. I'm in a bad mood lately and it's really bugging me. Geez, I posted long messages on one of Chlc's comment pages for her deviation, arguing with someone I know. I usually keep the arguments to myself but I didn't feel like it this time for some reason. Oh well, not like I really care anyway. Kitty-bear, if you're reading this, sorry I'm in a pissy mood, but you got to admit you don't like me much anyway.

Ugh, I have to start that third Chemistry project sometime soon. Maybe I'll start it after exams, because I think my main priority right now is studying for them. I have to really WOW the Math mid-term so Weber can cross out my failing mark on one of my tests. God, I think that's one of the reasons I'm so down lately. I'm doing worse in my favorite class.

Not only that but I was placed in Junior Honour's Band, rather than Senior. I was recommended for Senior, and I applied for it and everything. Somehow I think this is partly Miller's fault because she wrote my music level only around 2-3. Deep down, I know I'm higher than that, but I guess because I'm a bass instrument not much is expected from me, right? I swear, if Mitch was placed in Senior, I will scream. He's also a bass instrument, but I guess he would be placed in Senior because he's all special with his own trombone and lessons. Geez. Therefore, I decided to drop out of Junior Honour's Band because there's no point in going if I'm going to be playing the same damn rythms I've been playing for about four years now.

On a higher note, I guess I'll be going to the Principal's Ball. I think I'm going with Niall! I think that's pretty awesome because we're close friends, and have been since like elementary school. He wanted to ask Lauren but according to my sources, and Lauren herself, she's going with Billy. Odd? Maybe, who knows. I think something happened when I left Pat's party.

I think I might not use the Battle of Waterloo drawing I did. I find it looks too basic and boring, so I believe I'll redo that one. Here's what I've done.

You wouldn't believe how annoying it is to draw Paul Rose. I finally got his face done after a good half hour. He's so...HAIRY! Believe it or not, James Cross was much easier to sketch, and he's the one being assaulted. Funny, eh?

Throughout the summer I've been working on my school Personal Project. For this project I'm sketching scenes and portraits of historical figures throughout different points in history (mainly the French revolution, Canadian and Quebec history, and maybe the American Revolution). This may sound boring to most of you but it's actually quite interesting.

Currently I am working on the Battle of Waterloo scene. It looks like someone's taking a picture, and right in front of the battlefield is a British soldier on a horse. The Battle of Waterloo is basically when Napoleon lost control. I call this the Fall of Napoleon. It's too bad because I'm a supporter of Napoleon .

So basically I finished off the Reign of Terror scene. It's in my gallery. It consists of Georges Jacques Danton and Maximillien Marie-Isidore Robespierre gazing off into nowhere and a giant guillotine in the back. The sky's dark in back too.

I've been pretty emotional lately, so it's helping with the drawing of these scenes. Listening to music is good too for this. Hopefully I'll have the Battle of Waterloo scene up soon too.

Alright, well I finished shading Orelius, but I gotta take a picture of him and put him up here.

I have a new wave of inspiration, which is the title of this journal. Has anyone heard of or played Soul Calibur, or Soul Calibur II? Well, I've played II, and it's crazy. The characters are just so amazing. So on my list of characters to draw, here it is:

I've already drawn a light sketch of Cervantes, and now I have to shade him. I have also started on Voldo. Voldo is so far pretty interesting to draw, and I'm liking it .

I hope some people like my stuff. I really like the Alex deLarge reinterpretation I worked on. After seeing Clockwork Orange, I had this sudden inspiration to draw him, so I did, and he turned out nice I think.
