You may remember me vehemently wishing that the song Wake Up by Arcade fire,used in the preview for this movie would indeed be in the movie itself. Well, to my disappointment it was not. However, the music they did was so marvelously done that it made up for this blunder. I was impressed by the music not only for it's sound but also how it was well composed to fit alongside the feelings of the scene that it was put to.

The movie was one meant to make you remember your days as a child and the way you perceived things when your imagination had no limits. To again gaze on rolled cardboard as something wonderful. To see snow as more then something cold and in the way. And it brought back those feelings of confusion and hurt when things outside our comprehension misunderstood our unspoken thoughts.

The music fit right along. You were awed, and you were confused, saddened and overjoyed. This, harmony, if you will, did not escape me between the conveyed emotions and the heard music. You were entranced even through a storyline grossly lacking in plot and detail.

Yes, it seemed as if the whole movie should have been summed up rather quickly. Somewhat like the book itself was...however, the music served to keep you hanging on in the childish dreamlike state of wonder. You were lost in a place where logic never really needed to be present but could if you wanted it so. A place where comforting creatures from the depths of an untainted mind bordered fearful and foreboding, but you still put your trust in them...

All in all it was a as a friend said, a movie to make you think. A movie to get lost in....a movie to remember with...remember those days buried and gone in the sands of time and space.

man...i am dog tired...just walked in from another late night a work. I stink and I am sleep deprived. deprived of several things actually but we won't get into that.

on the bright side though i fiinnaallly got next semeester all lined up. SHEeesh they were not helpful at all on that route. but nonetheless it is finally DONE.

random note, i am really hoping to go see Where the Wild Things Are tomorrow. I have wanted to see it since it came out but one thing after another and i have yet to. so hey maybe i'll get to see it before it leaves the theater.

Friday night.
Late.
i'm staring at my computer screen contemplating sleep.
When behind me all of the sudden there is scuffling. now i have three cats, two youngins and an old geezer. So my first assumption is the little ones are running through the kitchen. But ze scuffling continues without much movement in any particular direction. So i wonder if they are fighting. I turn to see.
What met my eye??
My 14 year old, massivly underweight to to hyperthyroidism, lethargic to to heart problems caused by said hyperthyroidism geezer of a cat.....with a kicking mouse in mouth.

now u must understand this cat, even in his glory days, was NOT a mouser, never in his life has he caught one....till now....and while he was VERY confused as to what the HECK to do with it now he caught it, he was sure as heckfire not gonna give it to me!! But a bag over his head cured him of that and he dropped that sucker right into bag and fled. spitting and growling at me the whole time. But he sufficiently broke the things back before depositing it in said bag. it was very much dead. did you know a mouses eyes bug out when it's back is broken? now you do.

Ugh. I hate fevers. I have had a low grade fever for the past WEEK dadgumit. that's the only thing wrong with me, thankfully, but it's irritating, not high enough to knock me out of work or school, but enough to make me zombiefied.....BLAGH.

oh and so i'm already thinking about next summer and methinks i want to spend the whole thing abroad if i can somehow manage to afford that....heck i am already working three jobs and going to school. O_< but i somehow scrapped up enough to go to spain, maybe if i can squeeze in one more job and quit eating as much fast food as i do (that adds up ya know!) i MIGHT be able to manage going to Ireland, Egypt, France, possibly Spain again, and Japan again.(oi...that's daunting when you just lay it out like that...) I really would like to, but it's all about the mula. I have the opportunities to go to them all, but money....well i shall just have to get that fourth job!! i am young!! i intend to see the world!! I once said that i would see the world before i am 30, then spend the rest of my life elaborating on that. and i intend to!! I have worked my BUTT off to go to japan and spain, i shall just have to work harder!! YOSH!

So yeh I am starting to debate wether i should switch to the medical feild....In my japanese class of all things there is an old retired eye surgeon, and from what i gather he has lived a very interesting life. However he likes to brag quite a bit, which rubs me the wrong way so i usually don't pay him much mind. BUT one day one of my buddies was talkin to him and i heard the old man reply "yeh, had to park the Lotus out around the other building..." followed by everyone laughing in such a way that i wasn't sure if he had been sarcastic or not. Sure enough though, next day as i was leaving class, parked right up front where all could see was a shiny silver Lotus Elise.

First time i had ever seen one up close and personal. I must admit i stopped and stared for awhile. That is one dangful pretty car, TINY, but prreeetttyyy. lol. XD

So i finally figured out to get a temporary version of a tattoo on my back. I found the design a while ago and have despereatly wanted to put it between my shoulder blades. but I am entirely to finiky to have a permanent tattoo (i'd be sick of it in a week, find something i liked better, etc etc.) As you know, I love drawing them myself and would have loved to draw this one but let's face it folks, drawing on one's back is no picnic!! None of my friends thought they had the skill, time, or patience to pull it off either....so what to do?? Ahahahaha, bless the ingenious ppl who must have had the same problem for they invented: prinatable temporary tattoo paper!! Can I hear a woot???

So now upon my spine lies a awesome little tattoo. Temporary though it may be, I love it to peices!!

I will try to get a picture of it before it begins to fade, but no promises. XD

Huh.....well that was a wee bit of a let down....

Went and saw 9 tonight with mah girlz and frankly, I was not impressed. Mainly I suppose, because I had awaited it's release with great anticipation and had such high hopes for it, that when I realized it was not the best thing since sliced bread, it came as such a shock. Now, i will say the level of detail in the artistry suggested a masterpiece that could only be done by Tim Burton. It was twisted and ingenious, dark, and creative. But that's about where the praise ends....the storyline was seriously lacking to say the least...however it was not half so underdone as the character development. Everything about the film progressed either to fast in the important areas, such as back story and side plots and individual connection to the characters, or far to slow in less vital moments.

I had heard that it was originally a short film that got blown up into a full length feature. This much is painfully obvious as you watch the mind grindingly slow advancement of the film. It was almost as if it got turned into an extremely creative showcase for tim burton's genius. Which if it was then bravo they did their job well.

It did at least try and make you think about underlying messages it wished to convey. Though, as in typical Burton fashion, what you think of and why your thinking it could be just as twisted and tangled his own. Oddly enough that is a good part of why I like him so much....

If you are not pressed for time, I would like to take a moment as well and express my extreme irritation by way of pointing out the deception of the trailer's music score. What I heard in the trailer was not by FAR what I got in the movie. This was a crushing blow to discover as it was one of the things I had been most looking forward to....

In all I am sad to say that as a film 9 was an utter failure and an extreme disappointment. Yet, as a thought provoking piece visual art, however, it excelled. And so continues the legacy of a dark genius. Just as with Michelangelo and his minor works, 9 will be remembered. If not just for being from the mind of Tim Burton. But it was not however by far his Sistine Chapel....

So...chances are good that I will be moving soon and I'm none to happy about it...

It's not like we are moving far or anything, in fact we will be moving a heck of a lot closer to both where i work and my college, so in many ways it's good. Why then am I upset? First reason: I hate change. I really do. Eventually I will always suck it up and deal with it but i usually get like this before i get to that point. "like this' being- on edge. Nerves are shot and everything rubs me the wrong way.... Personally, I like my current house. 5 acres of memories. This is the longest i have lived in one place and frankly i enjoy it. Granted we will be moving to a much bigger, muuuch nicer house but i could care less. I have so many memories here, my walls are done up in my murals and well, there is just so much to this place....But even that being said it all wouldn't be that bad if it wasn't for Reason two: where I am moving to. Like i said it's bigger, it's nicer, but it is also the house my aunt and cousins have lived in since I was born, and right across the street from the house my grandparents built and lived in since my infancy.

here is the thing: my Grandmother passed away a few years ago, and since then i avoid going to her house (she designed it and my grandfather built it, beautiful place and i practically grew up in it) like i said...i hate change. I can't stand to see my grandfather in it alone, he is very much depressed without her and looks to new girlfriends to ease his loneliness. That is another issue entirely that I will not get into here. Moving on, his condition has gotten to the point where the house is to much for him so he wants to move to a smaller place. One with less memories. However the house he is in now is dear to us all and we don't want to see it handed over to someone else. So apparently while I was away in Spain they(my mother, aunt, and grandfather) came up with the idea that my grandfather would move to a town home and sell his house to my aunt(who, as i said earlier, lives across the street) at a very good price, and she will sell her house to my mother also at a very good price. Now on paper this is a good deal in multiple ways, tax wise and what have you. Plus not only does it get my family closer to everywhere we usually are but it hands us a nice piece of property at a price that if the market goes back up in a few years we will sell it and make a nice profit.

In all logical reasoning it's great. But living in the house i watched my cousins grow up in, and watching my aunt completely redo my sweet grandmothers house she worked so hard on really does me in. But there is to much benefit in it for everyone for me to throw a wrench in the gears...so i agreed.

I'm doing my best to make me some lemonade here with this lemon life has decided to give me, I mean hey I'll have my own art room, and fresh walls to cover in murals...but somehow it still tastes sour....

If it all goes down, we will move within the month.

So here is what's on my mind lately, when i was little i had a best friend who as we became older became a little more then a friend to me. (No idea if that was the case for him....:ninja:) anyways things happened and my friend disappeared for five(goin on six) very LONG years. I had no idea where he was what he was doing or if he even remembered me. but still i waited patiently for him to return....3 years. Finally my friends convinced me i was being stupid and i moved on. now three weeks ago out of the blue guess who calls me up? yah. :faint: (don't ask me how he got my number cause i just couldn't tell ya) Not only that but he says he wants to meet me for lunch sometime.....:omg:.....Now I would have no problem with this but in my family we have very strict rules.(if you dare call me old-fashioned i will personally introduce your face to my fist :threaten:) now one of those rules is that a guy must first go through my father before he can contact me via e-mail or phone. Since my friend didn't know this my father allowed me to tell him ....so, he e-mailed my dad. (i was so proud :happycry: )but my dad replied very vaguely and said, but didn't clearly say, that my friend needs to actually CALL my dad. (:fear:) so my dad has refused to let me e-mail him until he calls. :sniff: My friend has e-mailed me twice since then and i can't reply!!!! :cries: :cries::cries::cries: he's gonna think i don't care!! and i do!! very very very much so. :cries::cries::cries: ok i need sleep.......:sadangel:
