But yeah, so obviously I'm back from Spain (my god I haven't updated this in a while) and... well, stuff. Spain was great, we also went to London and I got loads of pictures everywhere (but I don't consider them art-quality and I don't want to flood my account with them)
So, yeah, what's new with me? (you might be wondering?)
I have my job, when I got back from my vacation I went on as Full-Time, and I got moved to a different team, where I have my own little projects to manage (which is so fun and stressful!)
Therefore I also got enough of my own money to get an apartment, which we've been in for almost the whole lease already and we're looking at another really cool place to move to when it runs out (closer to buses, more floor space)
The bilingual children's book I was working on has finally been completed (1st edition, at least) and is for sale! Available at Lulu.com (although it's pricey because of the Lulu markup >_< )
And I turned 23 on the 18th of November! So now I'm old! -ER!
It's been a pretty exciting time, but I have been drawing this whole time... it's just that the scanner doesn't quite work yet and there are more important things to do around here than to fix it... aheh.
But art! Soon! Hopefully!

When i get back I shall try to update with more art and stuff that I've actually done recently. I mean, seriously, gah!

I feel kindof bad for not posting anything really nice in a while. Heck, I never post anything really nice, it's usually just sketchdumps or doodles. ^_^' I guess I just never work superhard on any one thing that is not school (OH WHOA, which reminds me of something I really need to do after I submit this. WHOOPS.) since outside of school I have no time to work on any one thing for too long.

But! It is spring break, and I am le unoccupied and ze time stretches before me like a cat in a sunbeam. I am FINALLY almost caught up on my reading (well, at least one more book into it) and am full of awesome energy. It is time to draw!

(Hey guyz, if ya want some free music to work to, check out the free download of Nine Inch Nails' "Ghost I" at www.ghosts.NIN.com It's all instrumental and pretty good for drawing late at night in the dark. Oh yeah.)

I had to make my own website for class (for a couple classes in the past year, actually) and it's finally to the point where I should link it. It looks very WEB 1.0, but it has a load of PHP and stuff going on in the background that I am quite proud of. Hallo!

I'm a busy busy busy bee lately. I am FINALLY being paid for my art! I'm so happy! Currently working on illustrations for bilingual children's books, it's a venture so hopefully it'll get published, and the authoresses buy the watercolours. XD it's happy joy! Unfortunately they're pretty big so I can't scan them at home.
Also doing graphic design and layout stuff for pamphlets and business cards.

On top of that, for school I'm working hard on my studio stuff and classes (including making a website! It is required to have frames.)

And THEN (busy bee!) organizing a fencing lecture sponsered by my club, all sorts of paperwork and reservations and fundraising. It's going to be so awesome.

So understandably I have had little time for messing around, even with my new tablet (<3! it's so tiny) and I can't even read lately, so audiobooks are my friends. I can't wait to get to the new Stephen King book I have sitting on top of my bookshelf, looking balefully down at me pleading to be opened.
(and yeah, watching an anime when I have time. But only Higurashi and Emma)

Since the doilies are kinda boring, I also applied a gradient map to make it look cool. I might not always do that.

I'm in studio waiting for my icky math class to start and I think I'm gonna doodle something just so I can practice colouring it with these new markers I got.
They're "Permapaque" pens by the lovely people that bring me my Sakura Pigma Microns, so... yay! I only have brown, peach, purple, orange and white at the moment, but ooh, do i feel awesome when I look at the finished pieces.

I'm not really good enough for those fancier markers so this is totally awesome. I'll have to scan and upload a few of them sometime this weekend.

My mom get back to the U.S. in... one hour!!! And I'm stuck in classes so I can't see her reaction to the newly cleaned house. I was up soo late cleaning the house. Stupid house. But I'm awake today -Amazingly- thanks to my bus friend, who got us all wrapped up in conversation instead of sleeping on the mass transit. So many hours in the day now. What should I do with them all?

I'm really going to miss the distant half of my family, but this is going to be such an adventure... tough architecturey classes PLUS a totally new home life, and the dynamic around here is gonna be strange. I'll have to learn time management finally... and responsibility... and yeah.
I also discovered how to get Oekakis to work on my computer, though I suck with mice so I'll probably not do any more until I get around to the Digital Commons on campus and use a tablet.

Oh boo. My devart subscription runs out soon. I never did get around to making a Christmas card for that Christmas thing, and it's due like this weekend, so I guess I screwed myself over yet again this year. Stupid school (I say, in an attempt to blame something other than my lazyness)

Been working pretty hard to keep ahead of the schedule and thus keep stress levels down this year. Not only do I want/have to keep up with the comic, but this school year is the one where I have to apply for the School of Architecture, and get in, no less. So yeah, lots of looming dates and stuff. But lots of art, too... my commute is long and gives me time to doodle.

So, wow... I got a random one week trial subscription... Yay ^_^
I'm not inclined to get a sub right now, as I'll be leaving it in June and it would be a waste of money. So I'll get one (maybe) when I get back from Argentina in August.
I'll be living at home next year instead of on campus, though... so my parents will probably limit the amount of time I spend on artwork or DeviantArt and stuff.

Also we have a sucky ass connection.
I say that if I have to live at home and commute by bus and train to Seattle every day for classes, all I demand in return is a really nice fast internet connection and my own room. Is that too much to ask? I don't think so. I think I'm moving into the home office anyway... But I want to do the interior design myself. Like... find a bed... and desk, and bookcase, and move the things that are already in there to somewhere else. That room has such a high ceiling... I could get myself a bookcase with a ladder like in Beauty and the Beast... all my Stephen King books would fit in it!
I'm thinking it'd be cool to cut our bunkbed apart for once and I'd like the short part ^_^ sleeping close to the ground has it's perks. Like actually being able to roll out of bed in the morning.
I should probably make a list of these things for my dad so he can do them while we're gone. Hm. Maybe I'll draw some concept sketches of my new room...
*is actually getting excited about this whole deal* I should get a japanese screen and turn the room into my own little apartment! Oooooh...
Or I should, right now, start working on my take home midterm essays that are due tomorrow.. O_O YAAARGH!
So yeah, at 8:40 this morning I had already done more than most people on campus: I had a test in ARCH 251 >_< Man, too early. Not to mention my roommate and I were up til 3:00 studying for it. Stupid. Oh well. It wasn't too bad, I hope I did well on it. I got all the bonus questions right, I know that for sure. So 3 points in the bag. At least.

I love my art class. There are so many funny people in it. (and one girl who looks so much like Jeanine Garofalo that I can't help but stare at her every day...) Today we started making hand prints, and I got some ink on my fingertips. When I tried to wash it off, it spread up my arms to my elbows, dark black. Larry the tech guy for our class kept spraying me with Simple Green and I kept rubbing it into my skin until most of it came off. Next time I'll wear gloves. I feel like I totally screwed up today. I don't think Curt or Larry will ever take me seriously again, and much less think of me as a responsible artist. D'OH! I guess I have to make up for that eventually, so I'll be good from now on and not poke the linseed-oil-based ink. Gorddamnit.
In other news, I'm going to be selling a few pieces at the UW School of Art Open House on Friday, April 22. My number is 85, so if you can swing by and take a look, that'd be awesome. (ha... who am I kidding?) Apparently the lowest price you are allowed to sell stuff for at the Open House is $15, which to me seems like soo much money... and that's for postcard-sized art. I'm amazed. I don't think I'd ever spend that much on art. Then again, I am a maker, not a buyer.
I really want to work on some pieces to sell on Friday (seeing as I can't print up pieces I already did cause that's kinda cheesy and I don't think my printer ink is archival quality), but I have a paper rough draft to write tonight and a test on Friday for which to study.
Also... what to draw?
Maybe I'll draw a little bit and then write my paper like mad.
I just went to Ian's and got all the snack food I'll need this week. And I have two nice friendly cans of Lentil soup for dinners... and now it's sunny. So why would I want to eat soup?

So It's officially one year since I joined Deviantart! Whee! I'm working on a picture to celebrate.
Had a Woody Allen marathon this weekend. I've seen them all though, so I got kinda bored. Then I watched Hellsing under my covers at midnight on my laptop.
My mom's friend's husband recorded Barenaked Ladies in Rockefeller Plaza on the Today show for me (aired in the summer). He put it on a DVD and made a menu for it and everything. It is bloody amazing. I love BnL sooo much, and I guess now everyone knows it. ^_^ Yay. To celebrate, I got most of the family (except Moni, and including Fern) to gather around and we watched all the BnL videos on "Barelaked Nadies". I got to make comments and they realized just how obsessed I am and are frightened. And to make it better, it seems that BnL is actually filming the first episode of their variety show right now. Oh wow... if they actually manage to do it... what will I do? Should I tape it? But I don't get FOX! Should I get Robin's husband to tape it again so I can have it on DVD? That would be so awesome... OH MY GOSH, I am swamped. I can't believe how quickly homework piles up when you actually have it. I just finished one math packet and another is due on Tuesday. I just started to understand the logic rules and the next homework is due tomorrow, IT'S NUTS! Also I need to listen to three hours worth of Oceanography lectures for a test on Tuesday, and I AM SO FREAKING TIRED. I need sleep, but I probably need to do my homework more. There is time for sleep on weekends, yes? Also, add to that my Tuesday schedule (WHICH IS NUTS!):
7:30: Wake up.
8:30-9:50: Math class.
Between these two, sleep at "By George" because going back to the dorm takes too long.
11:00-12:20: Architecture class.
Two hour gap in which to take care of personal stuff (bathing, naps, homework, art, volunteer work, etc)
2:30-3:20: Logic Class.
Scramble home to the dorm to download the Oceanography Lecture and take notes on it.
5:30-7:30: Fencing Club: 2 hours of physical activity.
8:00-11:20: Volunteer at Rick's Cafe (My first job, and I love it... even though I make about a dollar in tips a day)
After that, homework and sleep.
Doesn't leave much time for messing up. > _<
So, right... *breathes deeply* I am calm. I am calm.
But I love my Tuesdays because Architecture is awesome and I love fencing and working at Rick's is the BEST JOB EVER!!! ^_^ But dang. Easy to get lost and screw up. Aaiiieeeeee.

Still working on the Ganalath and Kevaughn comic and the story is in La La land right now as I try and get my bearings on the new schedule for this quarter. I hope the hype at Rick's dies down a bit so I can do homework between customers. I dunno... I am definitely headed for an overload.
But I can't help it... I'M ALIVE!!! It feels good!

Well, the quarter is almost over, and I have plenty of stuff to keep me busy... until the end of next week. Then I'll be almost totally free to do stuff ^_^ Yay stuff.
So I've been uploading a lot of pseudo-anime human type things lately. This is either a good sign or a bad sign, depending on what you like. But don't worry, I'm not going to stop doing anything I was doing before. Except junk. I won't be doing junk anymore.

_{So I had my first meeting with Garvey Switch (they're not Amorphous anymore. AAGH) today and doing this album is going to be awesomeness all over. I'm like an honourary member of the band or something. It's pretty darned cool. We went out after our meeting and got Bubble Tea (I actually got Raspberry Coffee, without the tapioca balls) and all was good. They like my art. I am happy. ^_^

So yay, I found the prints section of DeviantART and found that I can have a wishlist. Which is awesome. *rock on!* And seeing as my birthday is on November 18th, I chose a few and stuck em in my wishlist for those of you who absolutely have no idea what to get me. *innocence* None of them are over $2.00, I think, but they're so pretty. I'm gonna have to make prints of my own soon. Whee!

I need some art to do. I have the scanner hooked up and PhotoStudio2000 installed and working, and an optical mouse and incredible speedy internet connection. REQUEST AWAY! I'm open for avatars, animated or otherwise, logos, fursonas, requests of any shape and size. Art trades would be great. Paying comissions would be wonderful! (usually you'd have to pay if you want the original copy of a piece. Sorry, coloured pieces are still in the works.)
