Sometime in early 2007 I created an Eeveelution Chart for an article I made on PokeCharms about PokeMon Evolutions. I made this chart in exactly Fifteen Minutes.

It became popular. INSANELY popular. We're talking (at the time of writing this, 19:29 on October 13th, 2009) 616 Favourites, 96,420 views (IT'S OVER NINETY THOUSAAAAAAAAAAAND) and 58,584 downloads.

Over a piece of crap I made in 15 minutes. Why? Because eeveelutions.

I feel like someone pulled the plug out on something inside me and everything got sucked into some alternate dimension and is just... fucking... gone. I can't think of anything. I can't FEEL anything. I can barely even BREATHE.

It's at times like this when people that aren't me do stupid things to themselves in order to feel SOMETHING.

I never believed in that, and the knowledge that at least that part of my consciousness still stands is a mildly comforting thought. Even if earlier I did feel like attacking several brick walls with my head just to take out whatever the hell it is on SOMETHING. I restrained it because I know all it's going to do is give me a headache and do nothing past that.

Heh.

You know, when you spend as much time online as I do, staring in bemused pity at all those idiots who act like uber-emo drama queens because it's trendy to be whiny bitches, you start feeling it's not legitimate to be in a similar state yourself even if you DO have reasons to be.

It's like, you find yourself thinking "good grief, man. it's only a trivial little crisis, stop acting like it's the end of the fucking world".
And then you're like "Yeah. tell that to the part that gives a fuck. Oh right. it's gone."
And then you're like "Self, why are you talking to yourself?"
And then you're like "I dunno, why are you responding?"
Then you're like "Because I have a penchant for intelligent conversation?"
Then both your selves settle down, get stone drunk and sing along to Barry Manilow. BADLY.

All craziness on a stick, You know what the absurd thing is? Well, one of many. But still.

I'm supposed to be in a GOOD point in life right now. A point of new beginnings. Some of my friends have chronic illnesses and live their entire life in pain, all I have is minor asthma. I have a loving supporting family, which is something NONE of my friends seems to have nowadays. I'm not living in a box under a bridge with nothing but the clothes on my skin and an internet connection implanted in my jaw.

... And yet, right now I don't feel like any of that has any significance whatsoever. Because I'm so wrapped up in my own god damned emotions that none of it seems to matter. Emotions. Fucking hell. I'm sick and tired of emotions. All they seem to bring me in the long run is a world of hurt. Memories too. They say it's a matter of choice, how you deal with them, but I find it that it's exceptionally difficult to hang on to the memories as something good. They tend to have very sharp edges. Especially the little things. And they tend to come in swarms.

All part of being human, I guess.

Yeah. I'll get over this at some point. Time heals wounds, or so they say. It could make some wounds worse, but... meh. I've faced crises before and survived them. I'll face this one too. Maybe I'll start feeling things again soon. I never learn. But it's not possible to lose one's emotions completely... Unfortunately.

Ironically the loop I'm in seems to enforce itself time and time again and I don't really feel like I can ever emerge from it. I can't just give up and not try however, because the only way to do that is to just... give up on life. And I'm not enough of a selfish ass to stand up and tell the universe that it can't fire me, I quit. That would just cause too much pain to other people who don't deserve to suffer. Never been suicidal, never intend to be.

I just need time to get over this I guess.

... Seriously, man. WTF. As much as I hated last layout, at least with a subscription I actually had my new images sorted by uploader, and everything was nice and organized. And now it's like all shiny and overcomplexified and holy fuck.

... I think dA have some sort of issue. They release a totally shit layout, and by the time people get used to it, they remove THAT and replace it with something even worse. Just wait - soon enough, people here are going to become so EFFing lethargic with the layout changes, they could just display a blank page with a picture of Lou Ferringo while a monotone voice reads the dictionary in the background, and everyone will gawk about the new layout. Because none of us will care anymore.

Sometimes people just wouldn't take a hint. Even when you ask them to go away as clearly as you possibly can, they insist on staying around. Even if you don't -want- them to comment on your works, they insist on doing so. And then they whine about it in their journals when you hide their comments because they wouldn't take no for an answer.

dA needs some new features, and SOON. Like the ability to block repeat annoyances from commenting on your art, and the ability to delete - not just hide - comments that are little better than SPAM. Hiding comments just creates needless clutter which makes me sad.

*groan*

Also, I would like to make a thing clear re: my art.

Yes, most of what I draw IS fan art, or rather, my own personal interpretations on creatures that already exist or fan characters/creatures designed for already existing worlds. That is because at this point in time, that is what I draw most of my inspiration from. It may be hard to believe, but for the grand majority of the time, I am more artblocked than not and it's a lot easier for me, sometimes, to draw PokéMon and think up interesting biology notes for them than draw any of my personal characters and random designs.

... Is it wrong that I don't give a damn?

I'm personally the kind of guy who would easily close his eyes and imagine all art thieves in the world (and by that I mean those who steal art by other people, sometimes remove their signatures, and attempt to pass it off as their own, or use others' art without permission - not just people who store things on a bucket for their own personal archiving purpose.) die horribly by a plague that would leave the copyright sign branded to their body's forehead for all eternity, and quite a few of my pictures, really, if I found them yoinked, I would go batshit berserk, and there would be blood and viscera flying everywhere. And plants growing out of them for good measures.

But the Eevee chart is just a ridiculously overrated piece of random I made in less than an hour for an article on PokéCharms (I really SHOULD get to work on moar of these articles going. <<; ) which got faved like.. over 400 times because IT'S EEVEES LOL. It has little significance to me and its overpopularity rather pisses me off to be honest - I think the reason I have over 17,000 pageviews at this particular point in time largely stems from Eevee N00bs gawking at this... doodle.

So yeah. As far as I'm concerned this chart can be stolen, signed by the thief in triplicate, sent in, sent back, queried, lost, found, subjected to public inquiry re: its genuinity, lost again and finally buried in soft SPAM for three months and recycled as firelighters. I giveth not a Desu.

Anything else, however, and even the thieves' mothers wouldn't be able to recognize them. I do have my standards, after all.

Also, people keep rambling about this 'Valentines' thing. I didn't even realize Valen HAD tines. O_o

"Christian" holidays generally amuse me. Mostly because of the fact that the grand majority of them are pagan festivals that have been celebrated, relatively unchanged, for years - only they had little Buddy Christ™ figurines glued to them to make them seem 'Christian' so that the religious pricks of back-then could demonize pagan traditions even further without breaking people's habits TOO much.

Ya know, the sort of 'Join us, our holidays are conveniently similar to the heathens', only they involve a random messiah-type person! Oh yeah and if you don't join us you worship the devil and will burn in hell. Yay guilt!'

Kinda makes me think of how Emperor Constantinus of the Roman Empire linked Jesus to the Sun God to convert people from the then-common Sol Invictus religion because suddenly they're magically the same thing just with a name attached to it. Conveniently they forgot that it was themselves that hanged the poor bugger on a big wooden pair of sticks in the first place.

Apparently in order to create an effective religion you don't need to be creative. All ya need to do is assimilate concepts that are commonplace at the time, give them a new connotation and a nice splash of paint - and voila. And make sure you tell your followers that you were there first.

Well, I fib. I read a bit of the unofficial sequel (my personal pet name for The New Testament) and Revelation has got to be the most amusing Drug Trip I've ever read. >> Ya gotta love an end of the world scenario that involves a bunch of riders and giant cubical sky cities of gold with giant freaky-ass multi-eyed multi-winged animals that bark HOLY HOLY HOLY all the live-long day.

Oof. If THAT scenario was real by any chance, I'd rather burn on the surface while the armies of heaven and hell duke it out. The view would be immensely better AND I could listen to some *quality* music as I become a civilian casualty. Although In the real final moments I'd probably blast REM's "It's The End Of The World As We Know It And I Feel Fine" just to spite them. XP

My gallery is full of black and white lately, because I don’t have the energy to deal with coloring. But otherwise, it’s all rather random.

Depends on the picture, I think…

It generally ranges between several minutes and hours. I had pictures that took me days, too.

Oh yes. I have whole drawers full of old sketches…

Ruach LET. It’s sort of my signature font – almost all my pictures have my name written on it in that font.

Hn… My favorite anime series so far are Digimon (In particular Tamers and Savers, though I have a soft spot for Adventure for nostalgic reasons. And V-Tamer. V-Tamer frelling pwns), GAD Guard, Full Metal Alchemist, Cowboy Bebop (The SOUNDTRACK, man o-o) and Neon Genesis Evangelion. I need to watch more anime.

Most cartoons to me are nostalgia things from the 80s (we got them ten years later so I got to enjoy all sorts of silly 80s cartoons in the 90s xD) like Silverhawks and Visionaries. The only contemporary cartoon I really like is Megas XLR – and even THAT got cancelled. Le sigh.

1. I've been into roleplaying and worldbuilding for as long as I can remember myself, even long before I discovered the internets. Sometimes, I remix old concepts from far in the past into my newer works, giving them redesigns to make them more intricate and in a way logical.

2. Shapeshifting and dimensional/universal travel have been a common thread of all my personal characters.

3. Even though my primary hair color is dark brown to the point of being black, I have random natural red strands in my hair.

4. I'm a bit of a hopeless romantic - when I fall in love with someone, I REALLY fall for them, and usually stay in this state for quite a while, as long as there is a fragment of hope that something might happen between us... I'm kinda used to disappointments, by now, but I still can't help it.

5. I once had a dream in which I was a tour guide in Hell. Mind you, Hell itself is nothing but a myriad of bad puns - the fire and brimstone dealie is just the lobby. That is because everyone arrives in Hell in the end, due to the excess of religions that claim that if you don't believe in them you go to Hell. Also, the Devil is a shrill-voiced, high-pitched pink fusion of Pikachu and Marill with mathematical markings upon its body and wearing a watch for a belt.

6. My concept of what defines 'cute' is rather different than what is conventional. I can find certain arthropods to be ridiculously cute and find creatures like Pikachu and Marill, for instance, to be simply appalling.

7. I enjoy sleek, streamlined designs much more than bulky yet powerful-looking ones, and am drawn to interesting markings, claws, bio-mechanical elements, plating/scales and claws.

It really.... REALLY annoys the FUCK out of me when most of my gallery doesn't even get the time of day, pictures I've spent DAYS on go ignored, while a meh-at-best Eeveelution chart I did in less than three hours gets fangasmed upon like it was the greatest thing since bread, like aw mah gawds.

Really, now.

I wouldn't mind if people faved my Eon chart for what it is, and then proceeded to, I dunno, give the REST of my gallery a look and see if there's anything else they might like, or at least have the courtesy of making a COMMENT or two about my works. I DO mind it when all the attention goes to a picture I didn't put THAT much effort and emotion into.

Makes me wonder why the fuck I bother being creative anyway, if all that ever gets the attention are eons.

I'm getting frelling tired of the Mew/Aruseus Debate.

Okay. Let me drill it into the minds of all fantards whatsoever. Aruseus is NOT God. Mew is NOT the creator of all life.

Mew has an uber-complex genetic code that supposedly possesses "the genetic composition of all POKיMON". The games did not elaborate much on that, but they seemed to indicate that this is the reason that Mew is capable of learning any TM whatsoever. It seems to me that this indicates that Mew's genetic code simply contains elements traced in all discovered PokéMon so far - primarily those having to do with attack and defense abilities. I find it unlikely that the ENTIRE genome of EVERY SINGLE POKéMON SPECIES has been analyzed and mapped even with the more-advanced technology of the PokéMon World humans, and as you know, Humans are impressionable creatures. Add that to Mew's elusiveness, intelligence and psychic abilities, and you can see where the myth began.

Now take Aruseus. Okay. It lives in another dimension, it's obnoxiously high-levelled, it changes its types by collecting fine china, It got itself a reputation as a god in mythology... But it's still a fucking PokéMon. Once an obnoxious 10-year-old-brat armed with a high-levelled adorable fuzzy puppy kitten can take down said god and make it his/her bitch by use of a small plastic sphere, it's not a god anymore. Just another overpowered godmodiac, a broken almost ridiculously-fanmade PokéMon which one really wonders what were Game Freak smoking to create. The PokéDex entry only says that it is said that it used its thousand talents to create the world.

Newsflash, fantards. PokéDex entries were WRITTEN by HUMANS. The Heaven's Pipe was named by HUMANS. And if these humans believed differently, it could have been called the Loopy Ocarina and no one would have given a damn. Also, weren't flutes Lugia's gimmick?

And next generation probably going to have even MORE epic creatures.

Honestly people. We have enough religious debates in the real world for it to be bad enough without involving pseudo-religions involving a computer-game world. There's a town that worships SLOWPOKES, for fuck's sake. I would kindly appreciate if you removed your heads from your pseudo-religious behinds.

Also, why is it that the games seem to be re-hashing movie concepts for their newer generation legends? I mean, originally, the whole 'upsetting-their-balance-would-fuck-the-weather' gimmick belonged to the legendary birds. Now it's Kyogre/Groudon's, AND Aruseus stole the flute-gimmick. For crying out KITTIES.

Also, is it just me... Or are legendaries getting more and more abundant and more and more ZOMG EPIC?

Generation 1 had it simple: Three, uber-rare 'Legendary' birds, one-off in the games though shown to have multiple instance of existing in other forms of canon (primarily the anime), one psychotic genetically-engineered 'superclone', and one cute, DNA-rich lil' unobtainable rodent. The birds each had their own story and they had some influence on the weather (according to the 2nd movie anyway), but that's all there was to it, really. 5 Legends, no big deal.

Gen 2 introduced Ho-Oh, with some form of control over life (as it was said to be the creature who revived the OTHER legendary trio, the Legendary Beasts known as Raikou, Entei and Suicune, who were killed and revived with the whole burned tower thing - we should have seen it coming from here, but since Ho-Oh was given virtually no attention, we didn't) and Lugia, which, while lovely, is still by no means epic. And yes, the time-travelling unobtainable grass-pixie Mewannabe. So that comes up to 6 legends, 11 grand total.

The next thing we knew, we had Generation 3, LEGEND EXTRAVAGANZA. Gen3 hit it off with its three Mascot PokéMon, the weather trio. This was the first time that the legendaries were really plot-related - which made their 'epic battle of doom'-ness at least somewhat plausible. They were Kaiorga, Groudon and Rayquaza. By now, we should have had the WARNING! WARNING! Klaxons ringing, but we ignored them, for the plot made sense and yeah.

That's when things got odd. Latios and Latias, the new answer to the Legendary Beasts, with just their amount of significance - pretty much nil (Not counting the whole Alto Mare gig.) And then we have the three elemental golems, the Regis, (which made us all wonder at first 'Wtf? Are those really PokéMon?', and made some of us reach the conclusion that they were locked behind walls of braille just because the ones who sealed them gouged their own eyes out to deal with the ugliness - although with time we've gotten used to them and even learn to like them in their own freakish way) were also somewhat epic, or at least, their puzzles were annoying to an epic level. Lately I've been unable to draw anything I'm really satisfied with. Oh, I've come up with a sketch here and a sketch there, but on the whole nothing that great. Nothing worth coloring in, or just uploading and showing the rest of the world.

I find myself only vaguely capable of writing, too. That is, writing anything more than RP replies. I just can't get myself into it, really. Nothing I draw turns out, nothing I write does either...

And even when I have ideas I can't put them to paper (or digital media) satisfactorily. And it's not like I don't try. I spent over an hour just trying to draw... WHATEVER. Anything. And nada.

It seems like my creative juices have run dry. And I don't like it.

For one, it denotes the fact that it's officially WINTER. November's still iffy as far as winters are concerned, but one can NOT deny that December is winter. And Winter is one of my favorite seasons.

There's something absolutely beautiful about winter. The air feels much cleaner, for one - probably due to the effect of rain. Nothing quite like the scent of rain in the air. Rain is a wonderful thing (except when you're out on Gate Guard duty and you get pelted by insane rainfall - it happened to me once or twice) to me. I used to like to just... walk out and walk around in the rain, long ago. Bit more difficult now when I'm symbiotically connected to several devices that don't like rain (like my already-dying-as-is cellphone, my only link to the outside world when I'm at the base - all hail teh WAP, even though it pisses me off a lot at times), but I still appreciate rain.

Although, It makes me miss being able to curl up with someone under a feather blanket when it's raining outside... Mrgh, best not think about it....

It can be a nuisance at times (especially when you're drawing and an open window draft sends a pile of the papers you've been working with in various conflicting directions, and you DON'T have a variable amount of free arms to catch them in midflight), granted, but I've always had a thing for wind. It does something to me that I can't explain. Unlocks something in my mind, sort of.

Wind tends to triggers visions (not literal visions, mind, but sort of... mental images that seem to surround me). Standing against the wind before a defining moment of a story. Flying. Freedom. It makes me feel more myself - which is hard to explain in a scope of words on a journal entry. It makes me feel less... anxious... That's all I can say at the moment. I can really lose track of the world sometimes just by standing against the wind. At times like this, I find myself closing my eyes and smiling for no reason whatsoever. It's like being surrounded by a certain type of scenery, for me, or standing by a waterfall. It makes me feel in my element.

I'm rambling.

Anyhow. Winter's also colder, which is a welcome change than the bloody humid heat we get around here in summer (and anything else really. The weather in Isra Hell is insanely schizophrenic - It can be raining one day and then BURNING HOT the following day, if not the following hour. And that's during autumn and spring. Summers are unbearably hot). It's rarely VERY cold (except in early morning and night) - usually just cool-ish and mildly windy, which I appreciate.

I appreciate cold much better than heat, too. I mean, when it gets too cold for comfort you can just put on more layers. When it's too hot, well, there's a limit to how many layers you can peel off. >>

I love rain. And wind. And storms. Mrrrrrrrrrr... Any wonder I love winter?

Another reason is the fact that, I was born in December. December 14th, to be exact. And this year, I shall be 21. Amusing thought for me, being twenty-something. I mean, I'm barely used to the fact that I've been on this wretched planet for two flucking decades, and already a year elapses. And in three and a half months, no more army. REAL LIFE. (shudderrrrr)

So. 4 months to the end. The end of three years that felt like living on an alien planet at times (and trust me, they still do) - to make a long story short, in four months my military service shall be done and over with, and real life will ride smashing into my face. Wheeeee.

Actually, I'm somewhat worried about that, as I really have no direction in life at the moment. I know what I want to do in general, mind: Take a month or so off, maybe travel a little (I dream of Canada, heh. >> and then go back, study something, find a job, y'know - the usual 'real life' mérde.

I don't know what exactly I want to study yet either, but what the hey, it's not like it matters to anyone possibly reading this. xD

I uploaded a batch of old, July-August-Some sketches. My last pen-works, heh. Photoshopness may come sometime around the weekend. I've been feeling rather uninspired to work with digital media lately - preferring to pencil-sketch lately.

Cue a Lebanese deviant, who's all like 'u're in the israeli army too rofl you are stupid hahaha!!!11!1(one)' or something to that effect. Complete with idiotic typos. Israeli replies with a sarcastic snappy comeback. Lebanese replies with 'LOLz ure funny too so what do you do other than kill inacent ppl? defending a land that's not urs in the first place? hahahaaha' Israeli, out of the blue, replies with 'You have no idea what art really is.' Lebanese retorts with 'And stop talking about art, art is something beautiful that can't come from something as ugly as the israeli ppl!!!11'1!'

... Okay. Seriously. This is where teh Stel goes 'WTF'. I kid you not.

Okay. First thing's first, we all know that /war is hell/. There's only one truth about war and that is that people die. It doesn't determine who's right, only who's left. Puns aside... Seriously, man. Wars, no matter who's involved with them, are all alike. Side A states that they're right. Side B states that Side A is wrong and THEY are right. Side A and Side B fight, demonize each other, Side A kills a few of them, Side B kill a few of them in return, more often than not, innocent bystanders get it, constant cycle of hate and death and destruction until one side either admits defeat or the world intervenes and forces them to sit on their asses and behave for a change.

(sighs) And all this over a few acres of land, politics, religion and extremist groups of fanatics from completely nonrelated countries who seek to 'unite the middle east under one regime' - theirs. Fanatics that base their operations in convenient range for their weaponry to strike at innocent civillians and use innocent civillians as human shields in order to create scandals so they could go to the international media and go ahead and claim "HAH! See? They're killing innocent civillians! They're all evil, and we're right to continue our resistance against their neo-imperialist ways in the name of our almighty deity!". Because /everyone on the other side is evil/. A great part of the well-oiled machinations of war is the demonization of the enemy.

And the country that hosted the entire madness - this time Lebanon, but it could have been anything else in the general vicinity - pays the price - in blood and pointless destruction, and the lives of many innocent civillians that were extinguished between one strike to another. And it honestly bothers the frell out of me.

Now - you might think that due to my origins, I'm biased. No, I am not. I don't view myself as belonging to any sort of religious or national group. I don't 'get' patriotism. It's just LAND, for crying out loud. There's more than enough of it out there, and all this quaffling about 'sacred places', places where some ancient dead prophets or godspawns or what the frell ever may have, or may have not wandered in (Hey, it all depends on your version of history, doesn't it? History is a wonderful thing - so many versions of it, and no one can piece together just what IS real and what was written in to promote someone's agenda!) is plain semantics. I don't give a rattata's rear end about that sort of semantics. Today it's here, next day people are going to worship the World Famous Talking Cactus at some pacific island, or something like that. Wouldn't surprise me one bit if they started fighting over it because one group would claim that the Cactus talked to THEIR prophet, and the other one would claim that their prophet was drunk and they heeded the true words of the Cactus. And meanwhile, Australia would be down there, like, 'WTF, Mate? ^^'

Sadly, the reality in this region isn't going to change. Side A claims 'this is our historical home'. Side B claims 'No lolz, this is OUR historical home'. Side C doesn't give a fuck, as long as they can rule the entire area that should adhere to THEIR religion and their religion alone and so anything that doesn't fit their criteria must OMGBBQ die, or be relocated, or what-the-hell-ever. And Side C happens to have tentacles that run through all sides in the equation that make sure to make lives for anyone who doesn't fit their criteria as tough as a life as possible, and again, people die for no fucking reason other than reckless, senseless hate, religion and politics.

And meanwhile the world stands by, in silence, well aware that if their country was constantly attacked by terrorism, they'd be out for blood. If it were any other country that was constantly under attack by terrorists, they wouldn't care WHAT they kill. They'd just get in there and KILL. Until their inherent bloodlust is over. And of course innocents will die, because they wouldn't care. Screw civillians, this is WAR.
