For my job, I retouch photographs for George Dunlap Photography, [link] (I made the website, using a template....www.bludomain.com...Heck, I'm still proud!)

With my new monitor and my flippin' sweet retouching skillz, I've been wanting to retouch photographs at home. I think I'll do one. Just for the heck of it. I also want to make a tutorial for retouching photo's. It's a handy skill. I mean, any picture anyone will ever get of me I will have the perfect skin EVER!!! I may even give myself a tummy tuck! *SCHWEET*

Back to the snow--> According to the NOAA, we supposed to be getting a boatload of snow. "WITH SNOWFALL RATES IN EXCESS OF 2 INCHES AN HOUR....IN ADDITION TO THE SNOW...VERY STRONG WESTERLY RIDGELINE WINDS ARE EXPECTED TONIGHT THROUGH TUESDAY MORNING...WITH GUSTS IN EXCESS OF 70 MPH POSSIBLE."

So, anyone traveling through SW Wyoming and central and NE Utah late tonight and early tomorrow morning, I hope they travel safely. Driving in the snow is a beast!

Storytime: One time I was driving down the freeway during rush hour and it was snowing, kinda hard. I was in the far right lane and next to me and a little ahead was a semi with a flatbed trailer. Well, someone decided it would be a smart idea to cut off the semi. He swerved into my lane and I did something stupid. I slammed on my brakes and "swerved" to get out of his way. Well, slamming on the brakes and swerving in the snow is a VERY dangerous combination. Well, I ended up doing a 360! ON THE FREEWAY! DURING RUSH HOUR!!! I remember looking out my side window watching me slide towards the semi and thinking "Oh my gosh, if I hit that trailer, I'm gonna lose my head!" It was right that eye level! It was so scary! I also remember seeing other cars spinning out of control and remarkably there was not a single accident...right there at that moment at least. It was a miracle. Moral of the story: NEVER, EVER slam on the break and swerve at the same time!!!!

Isn't it amazing how many new deviations are submitted daily on dA?
That the amount of people who are interested in dA increases daily?
And the fact that so many artists have found a platform to discuss and present their work to others?



Without a doubt it's a big, interesting, and versatile community.
But isn't it amazing to always see the same artists on the frontpage every single day concerning the fact that so many new deviations have been submitted?

We're all aware of that and believe that this has to change. It is already quite difficult for the "unknown" artists to promote their work and gain more attention.

Clearly, we do not intend to deny the skills of those great artists who enrich the community by sharing their magnificent work, but we do intend to enhance the platform in such a way that "unknown" artists might get a real chance to draw the public attention to their own pieces of work by promoting it on the front page of the community.

In our opinion we think it unjust to only have the chance to be represented on the front page if one has the luck of having many watchers.

We would like a better system which allows a deviation to be seen on the front page if, for example, it has 'only' reached about 40 favourites and about 200 views.

Take a look at the actual situation: You have uploaded an impressive piece of art that gets faved according to the number of your total views/watchers. Then, however, a more popular deviant uploads a more or less 'average' deviation and automatically reaches more than the double of your favourites/views in a mere moment.

A new structure of the frontpage could enhance the actual competition on dA, i.e. popular deviants wouldn't be able to best the "unknown" artists by posting a rather average deviation.

A reasonable alternative to present the "daily top favourites" on the front page would be a bigger amount of thumbs which would show the 40 best deviations of the day in a random order.

We think it's in everyone's interest to change the current situation and make dA a place where creating and sharing unique art plays a far bigger role than scrambling for new watchers.

1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get? Probably a lot. She is obsessed with fire. Everything she wears has a fire design on it including her specially made "sunglasses"

2) Is your character considered normal in his/her own world? as far as physical appearance yes, except her hair is like a white blonde short shaggy cut, not normal. Oh yeah, she got her self a prehensile tail (very funny)

3) What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)? her crazed look in her crystal blue eyes.

4) Would you consider your OC as attractive? She's pretty, but not stunningly beautiful.


Personality:
1) Temper: She calm for the most part. But, she can get obsessive and she has very little patience. If you tick her off, she will aim her rod of "Bloody Hades, Don't Point That Thing At Me!!!" at you and SOMETHING VERY BAD WILL HAPPEN.

2) Does your character ever get depressed? Never, she's the happy go lucky type. She can get pissed off at times but never depressed.

3) Leader or Follower? follower.

4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality? Stealing anything. Her obsession with fire.


History:
1) Does your OC have a family of any sort? Nope, she's a loner.

3) Has he/she encountered any traumatizing events? Nope, she's just weird, she was shuned through out her childhood for always stealing stuff and constantly lighting stuff on fire.

4) What was probably the best time in his/her life so far? Meeting Emmriel and Kitty. They love to do their own adventures!

2) Has your OC developed any romantic relationships? Nope, she could care less about romance. She only concerned with adventures.

4) What other ways have you appreciated your OC? She doesn't let things bother her for a long time. SHe usually resolves any issues with her rod of wonder and then thats that. time for the next adventure.

She is obsessed with fire. She has not patience. She will loot even sick and weakened peasant just for a little gold.
