When I came to DA everything was so slow, then the comp. would crash, etc..etc... I was ready to scream.

I'm not big on the internet to begin with, but then add a dog of a comp with all kinds of problems and you want to throw it out the window as I'm sure most of you have gone through.

The big news is that a woman I know for 20 years has an artist sister who did it for herself.  NO ONE HAS SEEN IT EXCEPT A FEW!!

I know I know. Haven't been here all that much, but I'm happy to report all my business, besides the normal everyday things,  is art related.

Reason: For the past couple months I've been doing quite a bit of tile work--sooo---you guessed it, I've been doodling again in my Day Timer (can't call it doodling anymore I guess) :)

Anyway, I've been taking the couple I did in the truck, printing them out, and actually doing them again at home.  They average from 20 to 40 hrs for a 8.5 x 11.  I'm not going to tell you I pop these out in an evening.  I wouldn't even attempt it.  If I had a different style, maybe, but these take time and much splitting hairs.

Comments, lol  well I've made about 12,000 of them since the end of 2005.  I still overwrite probably, but that's me.  I try and explain things properly on here because anyone that knows me realizes I'd would much rather talk on the phone with certain individuals.  That's the way I can really communicate piles of information, network, and it's more fun and personal.etc.

This, to me, is very time consuming and work. lol

After the second or third congrats I recieved for the DD, I realized I got one. Yes, it didn't sink in.  I just didn't think it was going to happen.

Most of my pieces (as you guys know) take 100 to a 150 hrs ,  I hear your comments in my head when I'm going through some of the battles when creating them. . lol

I'm sort of getting sucked back into tile work at the momement---painting at night.  Usually pretty shot by the middle of the night--and putting valuable time where it shouldn't be.

It's done!!  After 12 years in Landscapping, and 20 yrs in tile work I closed down the tile business.
I worked very hard all my life and it was time to get out.
