When I think of British comics set in a post-apocalyptic world, I tend to imagine the likes of Judge Dredd and Halo Jones, seminal titles in the 2000 AD sci-fi series in which violence and greed are the only constants in a consumer purgatory gone hopelessly mad. Richard: How did you discover you wanted to be an artist?

Steven: It's something I've always wanted to do, when I was little I would doodle everywhere and anywhere much to the annoyance of my school teachers, as my school books would be full of them. Later in life it was discovered I was dyslexic and I think that's why when younger I would just draw all the time it was the only way I knew how to really express myself.
