First Point - I got a new hard drive, so I'm up and running again. As you can see, I already have something new in the gallery. I'm going to have to recreate a few ideas that I'd had sitting around waiting to be used (stencils and whatnot), but it'll ~~force me~~ give me a chance to refine them from the earliest stages. One of them being the my production workshops' logo (the cockroach in this very css layout).

Second Point - I'm contemplating getting some of my sketchbooks self-published. I have tons of stuff in those that haven't been seen on here (or anywhere else). They'd be fairly long, I have probably about 40-50 pages worth of stuff just around the apartment...so if anyone wants one for $15-$20 just let me know. I'm not really going into this for profit (although, Lord knows I need the cash)...I just want my work to be out there.

Anyway, so over the past couple days I've gotten a deviantart subscription from a watcher, almost gotten fired, found out my brother made the All-State band, etc., etc., etc.

It's been a pretty crazy new year with the highest highs and lowest lows, and we're not even a full week into it yet. Crazy.

Oh yeah, I should probably talk about other things as well. Lately, I've been sketching a LOT in my book and working through some issues as far as style goes and whatnot. Haven't been doing much as far as character sketches or anything (I've found that I do faaaaar too much of other people's characters and styles)...so I've been developing an abstract style that is purely mine.

Already completed one piece, and I'm stuck in the middle of another right now (not really stuck...but I'm just trying to keep from drawing myself into a corner with it).

I'm also thinking about getting a canvas and some paint and trying this style through that medium....it might work really well, and would be on a larger scale.

Ok, so everyone else tends to do these things, and I get featured often...and yet it never occurred to me that I should do one of these.

I'm so stupid sometimes that I'm surprised that I'm able to find my way to work on a daily basis.

Ok, without further ado, the features!

Today, I'll be featuring several of the people on my friends list. No particular order, really...todays feature is comprised of the people who's art came to my head while thinking of people to feature.

A bit circular, but oh well....

The first artist I'll be featuring today is none other than the very talented (and dear friend of mine)

Originally, I thought her piece "Girls of Versace" was a stock photo that she had taken and cropped. It wasn't until I looked at the full view that I saw the level of absolutely stunning airbrushing that had taken place.

Another one that I quickly fell in love with. While it is still a WIP (and was in her scraps section for several months), one cannot deny the amount of sheer work into making the original render into a piece of art.

Next up on the list is the ever-talented

. She's one of those deviants that has some absolutely stunning work, but seems to be completely unknown, as far as pageviews go.

I'm sure she knew I was going to feature this one...I've been ranting and raving about how great this one is for a while now.

I still need to buy a print of that one.

Anyways, it seems that I've found one of the greatest things evar. If you're a guitar player, check out reaper [link] .

Multi programmable effects pedal through your computer....as well as a multi-track recorder, and on and on and on. It's also fun if you try a microphone through it too.

Got some great bluesy solos going through that last night. Sheesh, there really is a difference between doing them acoustic, and hearing them with certain effects on top of it.

Just got back from having fun with friends.

As soon as I was alone again, everything hit me full force like it always does.

I'm always alone because I allow myself to be alone. I make myself be alone. I'm suspicious of my friends, I'm suspicious of my family, I'm suspicious of my girlfriend. I hear footsteps in the hallway and I assume that it's someone come to take me away...it's always been like that.

I don't really want to be a Music Major anymore, and I already have a crap GPA...having to continue to be a MM will only make it worse, it seems. I guess I can fight it with that logic, or just stock up on non-major classes.

I finally found someone that I love and who loves me. Heh, I guess because I know fewer of you guys, I can give you more details (or something like that). Basically, I've known her for a few years (she goes to my high school)...and after I moved down to the University, she and I really started talking a lot and basically fell in love with each other. For four months we kept our relationship a secret from everyone...she's in high school, I'm 275 miles away in college...if anything we were testing the waters to make sure that we'd actually stay true to one another before we decided to tell anyone.

She's great, and she's an inspiration to me...which means, new works will be posted soon!!! I'm working on some great ones here...GAZ, An Invader Zim fan comic, Original Characters, More Jhonen-ish stuff, THE CO-OPs FROM SO LONG AGO (sorry about the delay, guys), Tons of original stuff. I have about a gig of sketches and stuff that I'm going to work on over my month off of school.

Also, I just made the Madison Scouts (kick ass Drum Corps...look it up at [link] and [link] )...which means that I'll be taking a break from this next summer...go me.

Alright guys...I'm outta here.
