                <description><![CDATA[ <div class="center"><img src="http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/headercopy.png"><br /><br />Because I think of Putin and Dima when I hear Aqua's <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=wM-Mk26N6wQ">Lollipop</a> <i>what on earth</i>. It happens with MOST Aqua songs actually hahaha I think it's because of RenÃ©'s voice contrasting with Lene's but still, of all things. In my defense this only happened in one other occasion and that was Soltero's Communist Love Song :I<br /><br />In other news, my comic, Five Stages of Love, had been updating very sporadically and I just thought you'd like to know why :v the easy way out for me is to say I'm busy, and it's true: I've got theatre two times per week, shrink visits every other day, things to study and do homework for and a ton of books to read and even my breaks at school are sometimes taken up by things like debating team or China trip meetings.<br /><br />And then there's the fact that I'm not very reliable, haha. On top of my official duties I use most of my spare time to sketch things I'll never finish, watch Project Runway (extreme faggotry alarm, but don't worry, I'm already on season five so I'm nearly done!), translate fanfiction for my own pleasure and, er, ~<a class="u" href="http://phoenix13x5.deviantart.com/">Phoenix13x5</a>'s (help me be less pathetic by noting me to read them), and work on a comic adaptation of the play The Browning Version by Terrence Rattigan (good luck finding it btw, I had to order it specially :c sigh).<br /><br />I have in no way lost interest in TFSoL, it's just. On a bit of a hiatus? I'll use the Christmas break to sketch a bunch of pages so I have it all in advance. I mean the logic I've seen so-far is<br />Guy shoots up army base = crazy guy<br />Muslim guy shoots up and army base = terrorist<br />which is er. Very dumb. To be fair it comes from the right and Fox News so I suppose I shouldn't expect much sense. Speaking of which why did Fox News call Mr Rogers evil when he died seriously. I mean hey man I didn't grow up with the guy but you don't fuck with Mr Rogers okay. I'll rip your beating heart out.<br /><br />So anyway, I got my report card! And it's decent this year, I still need to up my grades a bit (I have an 8.3 average right now and I need 8.5) but overall it's not bad:<br />Portuguese: 6/10 (groan)<br />Comment: Must work more on the proposed activities. Lots of absences.<br /><br />English: 8-9-10 column (in our first and third report cards the teachers just put a cross in the right square instead of writing (my school's stupid), and the columns are: 10-9-8, 7, 6, 5, 4-3-2-1-0, so you're never really sure what you have when you're in one of the extreme ends of the spectrum :v)<br />Comment: Super work! Well done! (ilu sir <3)<br /><br />Maths: 7<br />Comment: Good work.<br /><br />Biology: 7.5<br />Comment: Still hasn't done the first B test (I did it today btw, think it was alright but nothing spectacular) but has been participating very well in class.<br /><br />Geography: 8-9-10<br />PE: nothing, because my teacher was switched around so often and I was ill a lot so I only attended like three classes with ANOTHER teacher.                 <description><![CDATA[ <div class="center"><img src="http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/headercopy.png"><br /><br />Hello!<br /><br />I've been back for about... a week. I know, it's terrible of me to not have updated you guys with a full account of my trip immediately but I just kept like. Putting it off. And things.<br /><br />So um. Here we go. It turned out hella long, sorry :c you should probably just skip to the pictures.<br /><br />After spending about an hour aboard Malev air, we touched down in glorious... Hungary? Yes, we had a tiny stop-over which would be a bitch on the trip back, but that's a story for later. We weren't to leave the airport (we didn't really have time anyway) but we didn't have to to see we were in an ex-Communist country. The <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/IMG_4542.jpg">weird-ass architecture</a> told us as much.<br /><br />Another hour passed and we landed in Kiev, Ukraine, which most Americans probably think contains dragons and a lack of escalators. Well, maybe in the country, but I can guarantee you that there are escalators. We rode on them a solid five minutes at a time to travel from the metro to the surface and back. They're very deep underground because there were originally built to serve as nuclear bomb shelters, as is the case in many Communist countries. Quick interlude in the time-line to say that the metro there is excellent and awesome, there's a train every couple of minutes and it runs like clockwork (you can even tell when you're approaching a station because the lights flicker and go off for a few seconds, haha). Nearly no one talks either, a left-over habit of the time where KGB agents lurked in the carriages trying to pick up subversive talk. The stations themselves are exquisite, with marble and chandeliers and other things that should look tacky but don't. The prices are great too, twenty trips for about 4 euro hell yes. And once you put in your jetton you can stay in the station all day, which is what many beggars do (the only low point of the trip were all the beggars, who were almost exclusively old women. It was pretty heartbreaking, but the pensions are pretty shit there). There are also a lot of shops in the subways and metro stations, which is very handy if you want to pick something up or be a tourist and shop around.<br /><br />Okay, now that I've finished advertising Ukrainian public transport, back to the story (kind of). We met our host, Gennadyi, and managed to start his car after the alarm sounded two times for no readily explainable reason. The alarm made me stifle laughter because it had a variety of tunes that played at about two-second intervals, including a Christmas jingle.<br /><br />After an intense ride (most Ukrainians don't really drive very much. We also saw a fun graffiti that said 'Tanya - I love you!' in Cyrillic, with a little 'Us too!' added behind it by someone else) we got to the apartment we'd be staying in for the next couple of days and I had the biggest meal I've ever had in my entire life. It was so delicious but Jesus, Ukrainians are worse than the Portuguese in terms of stuffing people. I also had a little bit of vodka (of course) and a glass of whiskey Gennadyi assured me mother was 'just like water.' Ukrainians drink interesting water.<br /><br />I looked out of the window after the meal to see another graffiti, this time on the parking lot, that said 'KATYA I LOVE YOU'. And someone had used the sand from the children's playground near it to write BORYA I LOVE YOU.<br />I'd only been in Kiev two hours and I already liked it here.<br />We flicked through the television until I found my new favourite show, DOKTOR XAUSS. Dr House entirely dubbed over by the same two guys and one lady with monotonous tones. It was awesome.<br /><br />The first thing I noticed when we went out is that Ukrainians aren't <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/IMG_4565.jpg">very</a> <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/IMG_4574.jpg">shy</a> about their Communist background. I guess they can't be bothered to take off all that stuff but still, it was fun to see. That Lenin is apparently a popular meeting spot ('under the Lenin&#039<img src="http://e.deviantart.net/emoticons/w/wink.gif" width="15" height="15" alt=";)" title=";) (Wink)" /> too. I can now legally drink and smoke but I go against my Chap/Dandy persona by doing neither so um.<br /><br />I've also got a 38Â° fever. Super.<br /><br />Also, we're doing Heath Ledger for our English project (just saying it makes it sound crappy already) and I got lumped with talking about Brokeback Mountain and homosexuality during the time. Shocking, I know. So, I was thinking of briefly covering the film and the fact that it was based on a short story by Annie Proulx and then dedicating the remaining minutes to discrimination in America during that time and in the present in relation to other first world countries. Stuff like 'yeah and there's all these laws and things like DADT and Prop 8 and things but attitudes vary a lot. The more South you go, the more you travel back in time. I didn't think much of it but they have kind of piled up and it could be fun.<br /><br />Today in Ethics a guy was arguing that there should be a possibility to sleep in the school (make it a partial boarding one or something) and the rooms should be mixed and you guess the rest; not interesting or entertaining but nothing special, and then out of the blue he comes out with 'Oh, and there should be an alert for gays and have them sleep somewhere else.' And then he told a bullshit story about gays being predators.<br />This coupled with my history teacher telling us about his week-end in Paris and inferring that all gays are effeminate pansies has kind of been putting a damper on my day. Feel like I've eaten shards of glass, sucks. At least I've got it now and not on my birthday or my trip to Ukraine I suppose. Speaking of which, I'm trying to learn common phrases in Russian so that I can be polite to my stepdad's friend, anyone got tips? I mean I can say hi, milk, vodka, I love you and faggot but I don't think these will take me very far.<br /><br />I also just finished reading a fanfic that depressed the shit out of me pffft. Frigging character deaths man. Am I the only person who hates to get a proverbial kick to the balls at the end of a story? Like, you've just spent about an hour reading through a big story and the two blokes are together and all is adorable and happy and suddenly WHAMMO character death in the last chapter. Fucking Socialist party.<br />But Vlad! you may be gushing, Aren't <i>you</i> a Socialist?<br />And the answer to that is yes, I am, but the Portuguese Socialist party isn't. They're centrist at best, centre-right at worst, at least in their actions. I suppose it's always better to have them win than the PSD (Social Democratic Party, AKA That Party That Sucks Rich People's Dicks), who I thought would be the victors this year. Unfortunately, the REAL Socialist Party, the BE (Left Block) came in at 8% of the vote, behind the CDS-PP (basically our Republican Party) at 10% and that's just revolting.<br /><br />All of my Portuguese family votes BE, by the way. Blessing within a curse? He also STILL remembered me from that one time I fell on the floor in front of him. Found out I only have two hours of sports per week. Only have three hours of math. Got six free periods in the week. Life's good.<br /><br />And just because I have shitty karma: School ends at 16:10 every day except for Wednesday (14:40) and on Monday I have two of the aformentioned free hours from 13:10 to 15:20. Which basically means I'll have two hours of fuck-all and can't go home because I have ONE lesson left, Sociology. Same deal on Tuesday except for art. ffs<br />Also there's a creepy guy in my class and just because I wasn't rude to him last year he thinks I'm his friend or something and won't leave me the hell alone. Ughhh. If he continues following me and getting on my case I'll tell him to piss off.<br /><br />We'll be reading Educating Rita, Of Mice and Men (been meaning to read it, sweet) and A Man Of All Seasons in English this year, we got handed the books today.                 <description><![CDATA[ <div class="center"><img src="http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/headercopy.png"><br /><br />I went to London. It was sweet.<br /><br />We arrived there at around ten in the morning and checked into our hotel, the <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/IMG_4109.jpg">Langham</a>. Posh as hell, but hey, it's my mum's birthday, she can do what she wants. We went over to the Gay Icons expo at the National Portrait Gallery and it was very interesting, even though the lack of Oscar Wilde was frustrating >:c oh well.<br />Later on we went to see Priscilla: Queen of the Desert, the Musical and Jesus Christ I'm not lying when I say it's the best show I've ever seen. It's about three Australian drag queens who travel from Sydney to Alice Springs to give a performance and also so one of them, Tick/Mitzi, can see his son. The songs were great, the dancing was great, the costumes were just stunning (FIVE-HUNDRED OF THEM. And two-hundred head-pieces), the dialogue ruled and the mood was fantastic. We didn't have very good seats, but it was okay because since we were sitting in row R at the very edge I actually got picked to go on stage, along with a couple more people. Seriously. No one else in my general vicinity wanted to go (?!) so I stood up and followed one of the back-up dancers. We danced a bit, then I had to hold hands with the other people and skip around and then we bowed and went back to our seats.<br />I heartily reccomend this musical to everyone. Some songs also made me think of some of my characters :v I Say A Little Prayer for Alain and Colour My World for Henry. Hurr.<br /><br />The day after, mum went shopping so stepdad and I just went around. I saw Buckinham Palace for the first time ever but there wasn't a guard change thing that day :c we also went to St Paul's Cathedral but I'm cheap and didn't want to pay to go in so we stayed outside. We also went to Hamley's and I got this awesome <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/IMG_4157.jpg">constable teddy</a>. We also went around in the crappy underground. Ugh. Seriously, guys, it's not hard to make decent metros :c<br />Then we went near the London Eye for the street performers, who I love. We arrived in time to watch the end of the performance of a guy called Richard's show, and his last number was <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/IMG_4145.jpg">escaping from a straight jacket</a>. <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s4qQn_KX2Z4">Here is a video of him doing so</a>. The arm thing sounds SO bloody painful, aaaargh. He also told a bunch of jokes and was generally very entertaining, great street theatre.<br /><br />Then we went to St Pancras and left. Missing all my awesome caps, obviously.</a><br /><br />EDIT: Oh! I also went to see Inglourious Basterds. If you value your history, don't pay to see it, it became physically painful to watch towards the end. Download it if you must. Everything from the moment Emmanuelle/Soshana's film starts playing in the cinema is just retarded and I couldn't see the point. It's just like Tarantino went 'you know what I don't like Nazis I'll make a film where kill Nazis. I am a good film-maker. Also Speer? Himmler? Hess? Who dat.'<br />It's just so... American, I suppose. Birthday's in October (the month of winners!).<br /><br />â When did you start drawing?<br />I think everyone draws when they're little, really. I started with the standard ' potatoes on toothpics', then I started tracing stuff, then I freehanded Japanese cartoon characters I saw on television (PokÃ©mon, the Sherlock Holmes dog thing, Maison Ikkoku), briefly reverted back to tracing before I realized it was shameful and here I am.<br /><br />â Which hand do you use for drawing?<br />Right.<br /><br />â Which is easier to draw - male or female?<br />Men. I'd probably be able to draw women if I took some time to look at them and see how they work but I have no desire so to do. I have like four books with pictures of naked boys (not porn >:c) and none with naked girls. Oy vey.<br /><br />â Which is easier to draw - long hair or short hair?<br />Short. Baldness and buzzcuts are a bit more difficult but long hair's a pain because colouring and texturizing short hair is hard enough, so I can do without added length. I like short hair best in real life anyway.<br /><br />â Is it easier to draw the head facing towards the right or the left?<br />Both are on the same level as far a difficulty is concerned but I seem to have a tendency to draw a lot of fake 3/4 profiles looking left.<br /><br />â Is it easier to draw the side view of the face or the front view?<br />Side view oh my god. I hate front views because I'm really terrible at symmetry and one eye's always bigger or lower than the other or something. Plus my drawings tend to slant to the left and this is infinitely more noticeable in front view.<br /><br />â What do you have problems in drawing?<br />Girlie bits, hands 'n feet, DIFFERENT FACIAL FEATURES UGHHH naked fatties, dicks.<br /><br />â What do you like to draw?<br />Boys.<br /><br />â Are you a traditional artist or a digital artist?<br />I'm hardly traditional in anything I do.<br /><br />â Where do you start drawing from?<br />I nearly always start with a rough sketch (blobs) and then do the nose.<br /><br />â What is your drawing habit that you are aware of?<br />Don't know really. Rough sketch, slightly more polished sketch, ink, long tedious colouring process, end.<br /><br />â Any tips for coloring/shading?<br />I'm really no the person to ask.<br /><br />â How long does it take to finish a piece of art?<br />Depends on whether I'm motivated, ill, in an artsy mood, etc.<br /><br />â What music do you listen to while you draw?<br />I'll sometimes listen to music that fits the mood of the picture, but more often than not I'll just put my iTunes on shuffle on listen to my most recent songs. Can't be the first time I listen to it though or I'll concentrate on listening to and decyphering the lyrics instead of drawing.<br /><br />â How long does it take you to come up with an idea?<br />I'm not a very original person, most of my gallery is made up of the same people doing the same things. So it's taken me fifteen years so-far.<br /><br />â Your favorite drawing utensils?<br />Pencils, erasers.<br /><br />â Your favorite color/the color that you use a lot?<br />I don't think I use one colour much more often than others but I suppose red shows up sometimes.<br /><br />â Your favorite style(s)?<br />I don't care as long as it isn't ripped off. There are few things I hate more than people who suddenly change their style completely and even have the balls to say 'hey look I'm using some other person's style because I'm scum'. It's alright when you're like ten or twelve but Jesus.<br /><br />â What kind of artist are you aiming for?<br />Trying to get as far away from animu as possible. All the cartoons I've seen so-far are basically HA HA  BILL CLINTON WENT TO GET SOME LADIES FROM NK AND REMEMBER HOW HE HAD SEX WITH HIS SECRETARY TEN YEARS AGO LOL OH NO SAVE THE GIRLS BEFORE SLICK WILLIE GETS TO 'EM  and I don't get it. Is it that hard to just say 'oh a liberal did something good'? Especially since I'm pretty sure anyone would rather have a one-night-stand with Bill Clinton if it meant getting out of North Korean prisons/camps. I can't even imagine how horrible they must be.<br />Oh, nevermind, this is the country where a President nearly gets impeached and becomes a national shame because he had consensual sex with some ladies while an entire administration will live in luxury despite being directly responsible for the deaths of thousands of people. On sale too, hell yeah. I have another pair with a pricked-in design but I am dumb and I forgot it in Portugal. They had an officer's SS hat as well but it was fifty euros more expensive so I just plumped for this one. It's in mint condition, fits me like a glove (the eagle is sellotaped on, by the way, I'm not going to wear something with a swastika), has a ton of extra pockets to put stuff in and smells <i>lovely</i>. Old leather is one of my favourite scents. The guy at the shop was only selling it because it was too small for him, and he gave me a 250 euro reduction since I'd purchased something there before (sweet).                 <description><![CDATA[ Hey guys, who missed me.<br /><br />So I spent most of my time in Portugal watching Project Runway and being in graveyards. Also gained two kilos. And snuck out into a field with my mother and vandalized a giant sign because it's on our property and they didn't pay us. Had to walk through a corn field to get there, didn't know about it and wore sandals (derp), kept worrying about rats and nearly jumped out of my skin when I first touched a corn-cob (OH GOD WHAT THE FUCK IS IN THIS FIELD oh okay) but it was fun.<br /><br />We also went to dinner at a friend of my mum's house, a friend who happens to be married to a guy who belongs to the CDS-PP political party (basically the most far-right party we have in Portugal whose leaders aren't constantly in jail. The leader of said party is hilarious, Paulo Portas. His brother is one of the leaders of the Bloco de Esquerda, the party to the left of the Socialists and coincidentally the party all of my family votes for, and is far more successful in every way than Portas will ever be. I love it, imagine their family get-togethers and Christmases, haha). It was really awkward, especially since I had to show my drawings off and I had to quickly skip over all the men kissing each other and the drag queens and the naked men and stuff, haha.                 <description><![CDATA[ Okay, so <a href="http://phoenix13x5.deviantart.com/"><img class="avatar" src="http://a.deviantart.net/avatars/p/h/phoenix13x5.gif" alt=":iconphoenix13x5:" title="phoenix13x5"/></a> recently(ish) posted a journal where he talked about cartoons he watched growing up, and I was showing something to my mum today and we ended up watching a ton of openings from stuff I loved when I was little, and still have very fond memories of today. I thought I'd post said openings with what I remember of each show, so you can see the awesome, cheesy stuff we got in Belgium and sometimes Portugal. It was 90% old 80s stuff, and lots of it written by French people but made in Japanese studios, and most of it bastardizations of literary classics. But I don't care because they're <i>children's cartoons</i>.<br />I didn't include the ones everyone watched and knows like the Smurfs or Ducktales or Captain Planet because that's boring.<br />Without further ado:<br /><br /><a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vyV1hRhV-ok">Robinson SucroÃ©</a><br />I LOVED THIS SO HARD. It's kind of a parody on Robinson CrusoÃ©, only instead of being on a mostly deserted island by accident he's sent there on purpose to write exciting journals for the paper. He lives in a village with the natives, the Tout Les Jours (Everydays), where each of them has the name of a weekday. His best friend and the guy who actually writes the journals is called Mercredi (Wednesday).<br /><br /><a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1QMNKI7XUfc">Albert le 5eme Mousquetaire</a><br />Made by the same studios who did SucroÃ©, it's basically the story of the three musketeers (+ Dartagan) only with the added character of Albert, who's the brains in the team but never got recognized because he doesn't care about fame.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=XITUeWRxcfM">Vic le Viking</a><br />I'm pretty sure this is <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=70gA5GbDOs0">German</a>, originally. It was a show about this really brainy viking boy called Vic (or Vicky) and his adventures on his dad's ship. It got really weird sometimes, as you can see by the images in the opening credits, but damn if it wasn't an awesome show.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HzfZV_YqKQo&feature=fvw">Les MystÃ©rieuses CitÃ©s d'Or</a><br />This was one of those Franco-Japanese collaborations. I don't remember it too well, but it was about this guy and his Aztec friends (?) looking for the golden cities. Or something. El Dorado, you know. It was really cool too.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QkaAg7OkaGk">Sherlock Holmes</a><br />This may be what started my still-standing infatuation with Britain. It's not an English show, and it was in fact made in Japan by Myiazaki (!), and even though it completely fucks up Sherlock Holmes and made them all antropomorphic dogs I'll be damned if it wasn't a great show. I always loved seeing the steam-punkish machinery and their clothes and houses, even when I was but a budding Chap. The music always struck a chord too, and I do still love it. If any of you knows where to find the opening without lyrics I'd love you forever.<br /><br /><a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Oatu-53W1mA">Franklin la Tortue</a><br />This is one of those shows you're supposed to watch when you're like six, but no one cared. We all followed it until we were eight or nine or something.                 <description><![CDATA[ And what shining grades did I get? Well, here they are (class grade/exam grade/final average):<br />Portuguese: 6.5/6.5/6.5<br />So I apparently fucked my exam up worse than I thought. Can't say I care very much, and anyway I'm sure I'll do better next year.<br /><br />English: 9.5/9.5/9.5<br />Nerd-alert. This actually made me really happy because English is one of my favourite subjects, so I'm glad the exam went so well. I greatly enjoyed my year with this teacher too, thank you Mrs. O'Brien 'v'<br /><br />French: 7/9/8<br />Not too shabby. That seven in the class grade is actually only a seven because I skipped a ton of classes due to emo. I unfortunately won't be continuing French next year though. Sadness.<br /><br />History: 9/8/<b>8.5</b><br />And then I flogged myself with a pillowcase until I cried.<br />No, seriously, what the fuck? What followed my seeing this grade were ten minutes of crying and another ten of cursing my teacher to hell and back so I could hang him with his esophagus, all while my mother observed this bitch-fit in companionable silence. I got even more ashamed because this is the teacher I had (have) this massive crush on? I put all my efforts into his class, was repeatedly told by him I was the best student (not an accomplishment because the others are fucking stupid), was told by him he'd like to follow my progress and I gave him a bottle of wine from my mother's cellar followed by a mumbled confession before I ran away like a tard and he gives me an 8.5?<br />Look, I know I'm coming off as a huge spoiled bastard here, but when I pour my heart and soul into a project (in this case getting good grades in history) I expect a due reward. I want to study this in university and the college I'm aiming at has freakishly high standards and an 8.5 won't fucking cut it.<br />So we're going to go see the exam at the library (they don't give us the exams back) and see where the hell I fucked up badly enough to lose 1.5 points.<br />And the best part? His ballsy-ass comment: 'Excellent work from Vlad, should do well in the future' well i'll just stay in the gutter if you give me these grades when I'm looking at the stars, captain hero. Seriously, if he hadn't written this comment I wouldn't be half as pissed off.<br /><br />Geography: 8.5/9/8.5<br />I was happy with this, even though it means I somehow got a better grade in Geography than in History (aaaah). I love my Geography teacher, she's the coolest.<br /><br />Maths: 5.5/6/6<br />Nothing out of the ordinary here.<br /><br />Biology: 6.5/5.5/6<br />Yep.<br /><br />Chemistry: 6.5/7.5/7<br />Shocked. I was completely flabbergasted. <i>I got a 7.5 in my end-of-year Chemistry exam what in god's name</i><br />I mean, awesome, but what the hell?<br /><br />Physics: 3/2/3.5<br />Haha, bless her for giving me an extra grade for no reason :v<br /><br />Art: 10/10/10<br />I love you Mr. Rasputin 'v'<br /><br />Dutch: 8/9.5/9<br />Pleased but don't actually care; hate this subject, not having it next year.<br /><br />Physical Education: 5/5/5<br /><b>:v</b><br /><br />Ethics: 8.5/9/9<br />Haha, too bad this grade doesn't factor into the actual average.<br /><br />So in conclusion, I have an average of 7.5 (considering ethics and P.E. don't count). NEED TO SHAPE UP. Average needs to be at least 8.5 by the end of next year.<br />Also, no one in my class failed. Yay on one side, boo because I didn't want some people to pass because they're dicks.                 <description><![CDATA[ Hetalia pisses me off and I don't know why.<br />Hell, I don't even know what it <i>is</i>. Is it a cartoon? Is it a comic? Is it a game? Is it really, heavily xenophobic (yes)?<br /><br />I really don't know but it provokes a primal reacion of hostility in me for NO DISCERNABLE REASON which is weird. Is it because it's xenophobic? Is it because it's not xenophobic enough? Is it because everyone looks the same? I DON'T KNOW.<br /><br />Okay rant over thought I'd share. No offense to watchers of mine who're fans, I really don't have anything against Hetalia it just grinds my gears somehow.<br /><br />Edit: Okay, I've looked up Hetalia a bit and the idea itself sounds decent, maybe even something I could possibly enjoy (haven't read a real comic though so I can't say) but as I said: I have a lot of trouble liking things where I can't tell characters apart. This, especially in a comic where people are supposed to be countries (so there should be a lot of diversity if only based on the different stereotypes) is a terrible mistake.<br />I mean, for instance, this picture:<br /><a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://img200.imageshack.us/img200/7637/hetalia.jpg">[link]</a><br />Out of what I suppose are all the characters (twenty-two) I could only recognize four, and one I'm not even sure about. I can think of Germany and Holland but apart from that we don't have any country known for those specific features in Europe, except Norway, Finland and Sweden but I'm guessing they're not in the comic.<br /><br />I could tell Italy was Italy only because he's eating pizza. Why doesn't he have a tan? Is he a randy character? I hope they didn't only make France be the loverboy because Italy can offer some serious competition.<br /><br />Saudi Arabia(?)'s there for no special reason.<br /><br />And I thought that guy might be France because he's wearing a beret, but then I noticed that like three characters have berets so er.<br /><br />I know the guy in the jacket punching the air's America because I'd seen fan art of him but I never would have guessed if I didn't know beforehand. Since when are Americans blonde-haired and blue-eyed? I'm vaguely aware of that stereotype but it's not true because they're from a primarily British descent and British people aren't blonde. I mean the Royals might be but they bred with Germans.<br />And if we're realy following stereotypes, shouldn't America be a fatass?<br /><br />"Northern Italy: A bright and energetic nation that progressed from being the kin of Roma Antiqua, widely recognized as the strongest nation in the world, to being clumsy and irresponsible.                 <description><![CDATA[ Or 'How I Learned To Relax and Love Queuing.'<br /><br />So the first immediately obvious thing upon arriving in Esch-sur-Alzette was this: I had no idea where the hell we were. I mean, I knew we were in Luxemburg, obviously, but it was sill surreal. Why was it surreal? Because the only things I could see (and I scrutinized the horizon thoroughly) were a huge, empty red building, a bunch of cranes, a shopping centre, the Rockhal and an old, rusted-over steelworks factory.<br /><br />Yes, an old, rusted-over steelworks factory. <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://i401.photobucket.com/albums/pp93/vplj/1factory.jpg">Words cannot convey how awesome it looked and how much it made me wish for photographic talent, because holding a photoshoot there would be legendary.</a> I'm fairly certain they built stuff around the factory for the workers and such and now that it's been abandoned it just sort of lies there.<br /><br />So we were there and someone thought that we should bring a bottle of water along in case we got thirsty, so I had to cradle it along. We stopped by the shopping centre for a bite to eat and for me to buy some binoculars, because I am very dumb and I forgot ours at home. 19.99Â, it's alright. Could've bought two sandwiches with that.<br />So at this point time was pressing on and it was nearly 18:30, and seeing as they'd open the doors at 19:00 hours I kept urging mum and Onno to EAT FASTER GODDAMNIT. When we got into the queue for the doors it was nearly three times bigger than it was when we arrived, so I of course bitched endlessly about it. Then I got a bit annoyed because we had to throw our bottle away before entering the Rockhal (?) and I was the only person who tried to drink it so it wouldn't go to waste. Half a bottle!...<br /><br />SO ANYWAY the Hal itself sucked. The interior design was good and everything, but it wasn't good for concerts at all. It was basically a big stone box, so the acoustics were shit. And they had technicians doing light and voice tests minutes before the concert began (?!). Bear in mind that seeing as the concert was supposed to start at 20:00 hours and they were still doing tests at 20:10 hours we were all getting a bit restless, and seeing as there was nothing else to do we all cheered when a technician came on stage.<br /><br />And then, at 20:30, glory be! Even more than the pictures make it seem since we have this weird camera that makes things look further away than they actually are. So yeah, 19.99Â to shit. I'd like to take this minute to draw your attention to Neil's awesome leather daddy boots, which he kept on for the entire concert, even when he changed into a suit (see below).                 <description><![CDATA[ And so should you.<br /><br />My exams start next week and today I had a glorious realization: after I finish them, I WILL NEVER HAVE ANOTHER PHYSICS OR CHEMISTRY CLASS FOR AS LONG AS I LIVE. This is extraordinarily good news.<br />On the sad side, I had to say goodbye to my English teacher, Mrs. O'Brien (another genius fictitious name). I do like her, she's a great teacher and a lovely person and I am very sad that she won't be teaching me anymore. I am glad about having Mr. Nightingale next year but I do wish I could have her in Applied English or something. Alas, it was not meant to be.<br />I did give her a letter telling her I thoroughly enjoyed my year with her and we had a nice little chat at the end of the lesson.<br /><br />Speaking of goodbyes: tomorrow's my last day of actual school. I'll be saying saying yet another permanent goodbye, this time to Mr. Happy. And as some of you may know, I'm very fond of him, I'd even say enamoured, so it's going to be quite hard. I'll be giving him a letter as well, along with a stuttering confession he can laugh at with his girlfriend when he goes home. I just hope I won't cry, that wouldn't be proper at all.<br /><br />On the bright side, I'm going to die on Saturday. Of joy. Along with the, er, ten other people who live near/in Luxemburg and are fans of the Pet Shop Boys. I actually found out that the guy who gives me extra lessons is a fan as well, and he told me he might be going :v very excited either way!                 <description><![CDATA[ My router imploded ):<br /><br />So meanwhile I finished The Communist Manifesto. It is a good book, I reccomend it. It's like 56 pages so what have you got to lose really.<br />Started Lolita like it a lot so-far.<br /><br />Watched V for Vendetta (so awesome) and, get this: FINALLY WATCHED NOUS ETIONS UN SEUL HOMME, THAT FILM WITH THE FRENCH GUY AND THE NAZI.<br />Okay, so totally not what I was expecting but pretty good anyway! The main character are called Guy Rouveron (French guy) and Rolf (German), played by Serge Avedikian and Piotr Stanislas respectively. Serge makes documentaries now and is a <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.gazillionmovies.com/Actor/S/Se/Pictures/serge-avedikian.jpg">cute old man</a> and Piotr, he was in a gazillion pornos, was one of the few tough-looking actors who was an out bisexual in the 70s (other famous examples include, er, Marlon Brando and that's it) and was <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://eklipsedvd.ifrance.com/78nous/001.jpg">handsome as hell</a>. He looks exactly like what I want Ivan to look like fff<br />Oh and he owns a sex shop now. Stay classy.<br /><br />Anyway, what happens in this film: it starts off with Guy squashing a bug in a really gross couple of first seconds. While he's eating he hears gunshots/explosions and goes to check it out, finding a wrecked car and an injured German soldier. He carries the soldier back home, takes and hides his gun, and gives him basic first aid.<br />Now, it's pretty apparent that Guy isn't the sharpest crayon in the box but seeing as he was abandoned by his parents and raised mostly by animals in a farm I guess it's to be expected. We also find out much later in the film that he's a runaway asylum patient. <br /><br />The German wakes up and tells him his name is Rolf. After he gets better he tries to leave but Guy, having always been alone and having grown to like Rolf, makes him stay. So Rolf does.<br />They spend most of their time fooling around and fighting and throwing each other off rowboats and such until they find a dog. Rolf likes him and takes him home, naming him Ajax (I know it's the name of a god but it always makes me laugh because of the laundry product :v). Ajax runs away soon after and Rolf gets a bit sadder.<br />He meets Guy's girlfriend Jeanine and they immediately become good friends. Guy talked Jeanine into agreeing to sleep with Rolf but it's pretty obvious at this point that Rolf's not very keen on women, and he angrily refuses.<br /><br />Rolf and Guy get drunk off their asses and engage in drunken games like smearing cream on each others faces, pissing in glasses, singing loudly, throwing stones into a well and dancing with chairs and each other. At one point, Rolf grabs Guy and tries to kiss him, but Guy giggles like mad and turns his head to avoid it, then runs away.<br />When he wakes up, Rolf is gone. Guy is devastated and ambles about aimlessly. Rolf comes back a few days later with the dog and ignores Guy completely. So Guy kills Ajax. Rolf goes after Guy with the blade used to kill his dog and screams he's going to kill him. Guy has a weird spasm and Rolf takes care of him.<br /><br />LATER<br />Guy puts on a jacket and tells Rolf he's going to see Jeanine. Rolf calls after him and tells Guy he doesn't want him to go, and wants him to stay with Rolf. Then he asks Guy 'Embrasse moi. Embrasse moi comme si j'Ã©tais une femme,' kiss him as if he were a woman. We find out about Guy being in the asylum. Meanwhile, Jeanine cycles up to the house and observes from the window, where she sees Rolf kissing Guy's neck. They make love while Jeanine apparently watches and while they're lying in bed she comes in and kisses Guy on the forehead. They all lie down together.<br /><br />The Gestapo shows up at Guy's house and takes Rolf into the village square. Guy goes to get the gun he'd hidden previously and shoots, scaring all the Germans away (htye hide in the church) and leaving Rolf alone. He then shoots Rolf (?!) and the Gestapo leave. Guy carries Rolf to the place where they'd buried Ajax, puts him in a hole and then lies down next to him. He then covers both of them with a sort of cover made of leaves and wood and things.<br />THE END<br /><br />I liked it. It was quite unlike other gay films I've seen, because it was so raw. I do reccomend you watch it if you can find it.<br /><br />Also I found a Red Army Choir and a Vladimir Visotsky (AKA the russian bard) CDs. Happy happy.<br /><br /> ]]></description>

                <description><![CDATA[ This has been trotting through my mind for the past week or so and I'm getting frustrated. The worst is that I'll probably stay frustrated because this is so obscure ufff<br />So like two years or so ago I was watching some TV when I came upon a channel where they were critiqueing a play. The play was German and I can't remember whether the channel advertising/criticising the play was German or not but anyway. They were talking about this play. It's about a middle-aged man  who goes through life and starts falling in love with a younger girl and at some point they're in love (I think) and he's finally happy and then WHAMMO he discovers the girl's his daughter.<br />Eep.<br />I know there's a bit of the play where they're (or at least he's) soaking wet and the man's got an angry look on his face and I think I remember them sliding about the stage. The set was a bit weird too: they were in this square white box the whole time, the box being on the stage.<br /><br />I watched it, though 'sounds like a pretty sweet play' and then forgot about it. I somehow remembered it last week and I've been thinking WHAT WAS THE TITLE UNGH CHRIST ever since. If any of this rings a bell, please tell me. Googling 'father daughter german play' brings up a million links, most of which I don't understand and none of which I'm prepared to click on.<br /><br />AND HERE IS MY (sort of) DILEMMA<br />So near the local Waterstone's there's a weapon shop, where they sell firearms and knives and ancient swords and whatnot. I pass it every time I go to the book shop and I've never really paid it much mind (because I don't like weapons :c) but for some reason I glanced in today and I noticed that on top of selling arms, they sell hats.<br />Not just any hats.<br />Original World War II hats. Like, they had an original SS hat and helmets. They even had an original World War I (!) German helmet, mitt ze spike on top. And I'm pretty sure I saw uniform jackets.<br />As you can all probably imagine, I had a heart attack.<br />I desperately want to buy some of this paraphernalia but the big DILEMMA is this: everything's fucking expensive. This is normal considering what's on sale but knowing me I'll end up spending all of my savings on those hats and uniform tops. Plus, since this is an arms shop and I'm only fifteen I don't know whether I'll be let in.<br /><br />tl;dr: SHOULD I SPEND BUCKETS OF MONEY ON ORIGINAL WWII/WWI ITEMS<br /><br /> ]]></description>

I'm pretty outraged right now at how limiting this site actually is. Art should express whatever you want to express. You want to draw people fucking? Go for it! You want to draw a man with an erection? Do it! As long as it reflects feeling it'll be beautiful. Being done tastefully is a plus but not a necessity. <br />I'm not talking bloody hentai or pornography or whatever, I'm talking about sex. Sex is beautiful. Bodies are beautiful. I've been getting more and more enamoured with them as time goes by, especially the male figure. I've been doing more nude studies now and I find it honestly frustrating to have to not post some sketches because they contain- gasphorror- erect penises! WORLD ENDS<br /><br />I mean, I already knew there were very strong limitations on this site (because of the supposed 'family-friendly' shtick. I'd rather my twelve-year-old saw a tasteful depiction of sex than photoshops of people in blood-filled bathtubs, missing limbs) but this borders on retarded.                 <description><![CDATA[ New York was alright. I was expecting a bit more but it was alright. I went to the MoMa, Guggenheim, the American Natural History Museum, Avenue Q and Mary Poppins. I also got driven around by a real-life Kazakh and a weird guy who had all the fingers on his right hand (except the thumb) cut to the proximal phalanges and who stole cardboard from the sidewalk at red lights.<br />Oh and we did a boat-trip around Ellis Island and visited the Empire State Building. Our hotel was right next to Ground Zero, which made taxi indications very easy.<br /><br />I also got the coolest thing: an <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://img8.imageshack.us/img8/3662/img1086e.jpg">Avenue Q poster</a>, autographed by all the cast members. I got the occasion to buy this because right now is the time of year Broadway does this Equity thing to to fight AIDS and collect money for AIDS research and women's health organizations and the sell awesome exclusive stuff like this. Rocks.<br /><br />While I was away, my mother and my stepdad, bless them, put a shelf in my room and cleaned the place up a bit. Looking through even the small sample of my library present on this new shelf I concluded that my literary tastes are fucking schizophrenic.<br />I mean seriously. I am very interested in both but will probably only go to the latter.                 <description><![CDATA[ For those who don't know, John Krohn is a homeschooled, hyper-articulate (!!!), fourteen-year-old theatre enthusiast. He also wrote a book called 'Define Conservatism' and was invited to speak at the CPAC (Conservative Political Action Conference, basically a mini Republican Convention).<br />He's also a smug little prick and I am 100% certain he'll face public shame the day he gets caught blowing guys in public restrooms while on his campaign tour. <a href="http://www.deviantart.com/users/outgoing?http://www.defineconservatism.com/images/stories/jkrohn.jpg">I mean look at this guy.</a> Seriously. Then again that's a pretty low bar, buuuut. Be sure to watch the video, it's pretty damn funny. So it would be accurate to say that political parties are kind of like peanuts. Makes sense. Only the problem is that while both the Democrat and the Republican peanuts look good on the outside, the minute you crack the Republican peanut open to get to the delicious filling, you'll only be disappointed when you see nothing but a shrivelled, dying gnat.<br />'Respect for life', but only till you're born! Cause when you are, we'll turn you over and fuck you in the ass!<br />'It is an ideology of protecting the people and the people's rights.' wait, what? Hot damn, I must've been following the <i>wrong</i> Conservatives, because the ones I've seen so-far have done neither of these.<br /><br />And come on, are Republicans that desperate? First they place all their trust and confidence in a plumber who's not even a real plumber and who obviously knows fuck all about anything, then they look up to a woman who thinks Africa is a country, they've been respecting hideous slimeball manthing Anne Coulter for ages, they think some fat junkie is THE source for your news and now they think a fourteen-year-old kid is the new Jesus.<br /><br />Now, I'm fifteen, so I suppose I should respect him for being so far ahead and garglegarglegargle this is absolutely preposterous. It makes me want to write a book (I'll call it 'CHILD WRITES ABOUT POLITICS: MIND FUCKING BLOWN' ) just so I can quickly gain fame and money and when I'm invited to go on television for the first time I'll just look straight into the camera and go 'lollin' at whoever thinks a child has anything relevant to say about politics.'<br />Then I'll find and molest Anderson Cooper.<br /><br />Kid makes me laugh. See this part of his bio:<br />He has played the cello since he was 4 and has recently taken up the Banjo. He is active at his church, Peachtree Corners Baptist, and in his spare time he is playing with his dog Spot, and listening to anything political. He loves talk radio. He has also taken up golf in hopes to play with his favorite politicians. <br /><br />Hint: by the time you're old enough to play golf with grown-ups, they'll all be dead. The tense in this sentence is also weird as hell but I'm not a native english speaker so what do I know.<br /><br />Oh and this: In the Jewish culture in which my mom was raised, 13 is a big deal,Â he told The New York Times. ÂBut since IÂm a Jewish Christian, I donÂt do a bar mitzvah.Â<br />1) yes, no shit<br />2) What in the name of God is a Jewish Christian? I'm guessing he means his mum was Jewish (she's baptist now and has been for decades so she's not even Jewish religiously speaking) and his dad and him are Christians but it's like Obama saying 'I'm a Chistian Muslim' because his dad used to be a muslim way back in the day ): ?<br />And I'd like to have a Bar Mitzvah! Come on man, Jewish parties blow Christian ones out of the water. There's one thing where you stay up all night chillin' and eating cheesecake for Christ's sake.<br /><br />He also apparently did something related to giving 'reproduction advice' or something which is pretty awesome. I'm dying to know what a fourteen-year-old homeschooled Conservative has to tell us about social skills and sex tips. I bet we could have a very interesting conversation, him and I, and it would end with his salty tears. If not because of my words, because I'll have kicked him in the crotch so hard he would never be able to procreate.<br /><br />Oh well. I guess this rant's totally void when you take the fact that all Neo-Cons are children into consideration.<br /><br />I should just get a blog so I could talk about my opinion all the time and get instant internet fame.                 <description><![CDATA[ So I was going through My Documents, you know, as you do, and I decided to check my Word files. For old time's sake or something.<br />I found this:<br /><br /><i>'The sound of rain against the windows.<br />Despite what many people think, it is not always cold here. In fact, in some places, the temperature gets so high that many die of heatstroke. I should know. IÂm the one who looks through the fatality numbers.<br />Of course, not all rumours are untrue. We do get freezing cold weather, the most badly affected parts being villages in Siberia. Not many people know about them.                 <description><![CDATA[ 1) I AM STILL DOODLING SLASH PAIRINGS i've just been quite lazy lately. Don't worry, I'll get round to them. Drawing the Engineer/Scout one right now, actually.<br /><br />2) I went to see Milk and Gran Torino and they both made me cry so hard (Milk moreso) ;^; Seriously, go watch them, they're amazing. I wanna be like Walt Kowalski when I grow up <img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/h/heart.gif" width="15" height="13" alt=":heart:" title="Heart" /><br />And yeah, what I learnt from Milk was 'never trust a psychotic Irish/American closet case or he'll shoot you.'<br />On the plus side I saw Silence of the Hams today and it pretty damn funny so that's cool.<br /><br />3) I've been downloading a film called Nous Ãtions Un Seul Homme for the last three days and I wish my Internet wasn't so shitty because it sounds right up my alley. It takes place in rural France during the second world war. A wounded German soldier called Rolf wanders unto the land of a man called Guy. Guy nurses him back to health, but when Rolf wants to leave Guy begs him to stay and Rolf sort of sticks around and eventually loses the will to return to his country. Meanwhile Guy's girlfriend/fiance/whatever watches their relationship with an EVIL EYE and that's all I know about it.<br />I WISH I'D FUCKING FINALLY GET THE FILM i'm at ninety per cent since yesterday evening and it hasn't budged since ):<br /><br />4) One of my teachers has a meeting with a Portuguese editor and wants to show off some of my drawings to try and get a deal.                 <description><![CDATA[ New Pet Shop Boys album out on the 23rd of March.<br />It's called <i>Yes</i>.<br />Atittude said it's awesome.<br />Eeeee I'm excited ~<img src="http://e.deviantart.com/emoticons/h/heart.gif" width="15" height="13" alt=":heart:" title="Heart" /> But Neil you're getting very thin on top, just cut it really short to make it level or you look weird as hell.<br /><br />I also went to the market yesterday which was awesome because I found ten old magazines (from 1981) called 'Les Forces ArmÃ©es de la DerniÃ¨re Guerre: Uniformes, Insignes et Organization', which roughly translates to 'The Armed Forces of the Last War: Uniforms, Medals/Decorations and Organization.'<br />They're literally magazines filled with nothing but pictures and descriptions of uniforms, insignias, ranks and history. I couldn't have made this any better if I tried. And only for 9Â for the lot!<br />I need to get some frames to put up the French Resistance and the Nazi propaganda pictures my mum bought for me in the same market. It's a goldmine.<br />Got a sweet deal on a PS3 two days ago too (399Â including a game that costs 60Â normally and a controller), which is made even better because I won't have to buy very many games seeing as I have a friend who owns most of them so he can just lend them out to me. yay I like to talk about money :v<br /><br />Also still feeling terrible about not replying to comments and they're still there in my comment inbox but I keep putting it off for some reason.                 <description><![CDATA[ Going to an anti-Gaza war protest tomorrow. I'll see whether I can make some sort of pro-Palestinian or general anti-war picket sign but I'm not sure whether I have enough time (just heard about said protest yesterday so er).<br />I just hope the Belgian riot squad ins't sent out because those guys start whacking people around for the slightest goddamn thing. They killed a man at another protest at the Gare Centrale some time ago.<br /><br />If anything especially interesting happens I might make a little comic about tomorrow or something.<br /><br />Wish me luck! (or at least wish me not to get hit/killed by the police because seriously)<br /><br />ps: America and Israel are horrible countries. Sorry for the people living there but seriously, actively supporting genocide isn't cool.<br />I hope the Israeli leader is tried for crimes against humanity because he is such a shitbag.<br />pps: Bush and Cheney too but that's pretty much a given.                 <description><![CDATA[ I might have found the most disgusting book ever written.<br />Should I read it.<br /><br />EDIT: Welp, I decided to embark on a new adventure: this book.<br />I'm half-way through the first chapter (there are four chapter) and it's not too bad for now. I mean, it's pretty fucking bad, but it's not as horrible as I thought it would be. Okay, it's nearly as bad, but some scenes don't disgust me so it's not scarring. Okay it IS scarring god damn French writers from the eighteenth century ffff but morbid curiosity if making me push forward.I can predict two things: either I'll forget all about this book a week after finishing it or it'll stick with me for ever.<br />There's been a film adaptation and it looks absolutely vile. A one-and-a-half minute clip was enough to nearly make me throw up. <br />I must find it.<br /><br />ps: not saying the name outright because I know my stepdad watches this account HI STEPDAD (please don't tell mum, she'll get worried about my, er, mind?).<br />If you're interested in the title or any other information (including a link to an online version of the book, in its original French or in English), send me a note.                 <description><![CDATA[ So last Thursday morning I was pretty content with my life. Even though I hadn't had the best time during exams, at least they were over! The last day of school could be nothing but boring merriness!<br />Then at 7:30 in the morning I slipped on the last step of the stairs and very nearly broke my ankle. <br />I'd never been in crutches before but it's not too bad. Plus I got to go around in wheelchairs in the airports so :v<br />If you're been reading my journals for some time you'll know how prone I am to fucking up my legs. I've also been sick for most of this year for some reason and I can't get rid of this horrible cough I've had for over sic months fff<br /><br />ANYWAY:<br /><br />Whether you celebrate Christmas, (C)Hanukkah, Kwanzaa, Yule, the winter solstice, VIKING CHRISTMAS or whatever, have a happy one! I'll be quite content to celebrate atheist Christmas, which is exactly like normal Christmas except with less Jesus I guess.<br /><br />So I'm not posting this just for some faggy holiday greeting. I'm actually in Portugal right now and my cousin's gotten around to fixing up an Internet connection(!) so I might comment on stuff from time to time BUT I won't be posting anything till some time in January, including my comic, because I have no scanner or image editing program apart from Paint.<br />ENJOY YOUR (small) VACATION FROM ME bye<br /><br />Oh and uh Happy New Year in case I don't post again!                 <description><![CDATA[ The best part were Bush's cat-like reflexes, hot damn. You'd think he's done this before (during his cheerleading days, maybe).<br /><br />But nyeah, I love how some people are going 'yeah this proves the surge is great b/c if this'd happened when saddam was the leader the guy'd be hanging now, yay free speech in iraq!' and then I want to punch them in the throat for five years before giving them a single hug so they'd sort of get what iraq's been going through.<br />Especially since 'free speech' apparently means 'break your arm and a couple of ribs, give you a concussion from a pistolwhipping and then deny it all on TV'.<br /><br />Exams are over and I'll freely admit I had fun doing my History paper. Yes, I had fun during an exam, and yes, I do feel like a huge nerd. Not very different from before, strangely enough :v<br />To celebrate not having to study anymore I've been lying around the house in my pyjamas and bathrobe (because I don't have a smokign jacket. yet) watching movies and playing the Sims and Absolute Obedience (which is hilarious, btw, even unintentionally. The dailogue is so stilted and lol at blackmailing+forcing yourself on a KGB agent and not waking up in a bathtub full of scorpions).<br /><br />I should probably ink my comic pages so I'll go do that now.<br />xoxo<br /><br /> ]]></description>

                <description><![CDATA[ Okay, so I got a paper with all the things I can choose from to do on my Baccalaureat.<br />I was pretty surprised to see I was one of the only people who mostly knows what they want. Here's the neat little timetable I'll hopefully have next year, if all goes well:<br />Portuguese (mandatory)<br />English (mandatory)<br />Biology (mandatory)<br />Maths (mandatory, unfortunately)<br />Ethics (mandatory)<br />Sports (ditto)<br />Philosophy (4 hours a week)<br />History (4 hours)<br />Art (4 hours)<br />History of Art (:v 2 hours)<br />Sociology (2 hours)<br /><br />I'd really like to do Advanced English, but I don't think it's possible with all the other subjects I want to take. I was kind of hoping I'd be able to do some Archeology or something but again, impossible.<br /><br />Oh, and I'm starting to think of my Christmas list.                 <description><![CDATA[ watched diamonds are forever it was rad<br />So in addition to my Stephen Fry+Hugh Laurie MPreg horror and my David Miscavige/Tom Cruise chuckle, I am proud to say I have added two new brain-damaging finds to my list. A Bottom fic, a couple of Blackadder fics and an 'Allo 'Allo fic.<br />hahahaha i hate myself<br /><br />Anyway I got my report you guys! Unsurprisingly, I got shit grades at Physics, Chemistry and Biology and a surprise seven (out of ten :v) in Maths. The usual. I am happy with my five other grades, none of which was under seven (except PE because the teacher's a bitch but it's okay because PE doesn't count in the final report anyway. Good thing because I'll be damned if that subject makes me miss out on a good university), and especially proud of my nine in History and my ten in Art (god knows why).<br />Languages were all good, Ethics was good too because I love winning debates (this only happens because I can talk like I was beaten to death with a bloody encyclopaedia when I want to, I just never bother to sound remotely intelligent on the Internet :v) and being ethical I guess.<br /><br />We're doing the Renaissance in History and it's pretty cool. I'm rather looking forward to the Victorians (hopefully next year) and the two World Wars (in two years). But the Renaissance allows me to write long essays on paintings of St. Sebastian and all the underlying meanings so it's all good.                 <description><![CDATA[ It makes me happy in special ways.<br /><br />Oh and I went to London! Let me copy/paste my trip description:<br />So I went to London on Friday, catching the five o'clock train with my mum. We arrived at St. Pancras and we got lost looking for the Imperial Hotel, but it was okay because we were in London lalala<br />We eventually found it, deposited our luggage and paid 10Â£60 for two tube tickets, which is like fourteen euro but it was okay because we were in London<br />We rode got out at Leicester and went to see Avenue Q, which was awesome. I got the soundtrack and some buttons. Then we left the NoÃ«l Coward Theatre and sort of walked back to the hotel, passing through Covent Garden (where some guys were hanging around dressed in mountain-climbing gear but who cares). Then I slipped on the smooth tarmac and banged my elbows but it was okay because we were in London<br /><br />Then next day we stole some of those paper poppies and I wore mine like a good citizen. I eventually found a velour one on the ground so I'll probably wear that instead.<br />We went to see the Annie Leibovitz exposition at the National Picture Gallery. It was really good and moving, and if you happen to live nearby I heartily reccomend it. Then I bought a little Admiral Nelson Christmas tree decoration thing. It's adorable.<br />It started raining so mum and I had a magical trip through Downpour-vision London to Marks&Sparks and I got to sit in the cafÃ© reading Mission Accomplished!
