Nuthin new. I just realized last Thursday, that in a month, it will be my birthday. *sigh*
Another milestone.....I'm not gonna tell you my age, the hell with that.
I don't think I ever imagined myself getting that old as a kid. That concept seemed inconceivable. Too far away to be possible. But here I am, or will be.
I've still got a long way to go. That's good.

I should focus on what I want to do on my birthday this year. It wont be as pleasant as last year (for an obvious reason). I think I should have a cake.
Yep. And then have a little party with my cousins, if they can come. If not, more cake for me then.

Anyway.
I'm still out of sort and full of shit (pardon my language) but it's true. I shouldn't write depressing things on DA, but that's life. I'm sure you don't want to read that.

Things are not all that bad. My washing machine is fixed, I was afraid I would need to by another one. Got money from the Government (for the income tax thingy). But I still got to pay 2000$ for the taxes on my home, school taxes, this and that. Goodbye vacations....
I don't have a car, or a drivers licence.
Don't have a cat, or any other living creature in my home.
I don't go to the restaurant, the movies, bars....
Don't smoke, don't drink.
I work hard, and I can't even afford to do these things.
(i'm doing it again, depressing) Sorry.

HEY! GUESS WHAT?
I bought the carpet for my room of requirement. Cozy. I love it.
Yep. Things are doing great on that project. And I have 8 other "to do's" on my list.

Still wallowing in the depths of despair that as come so familiar to me. Nothing gets done on this side. No Potter art, no nothing. Hey! I love everything Potter, but I'm not inspired anymore. The only thing Potter related will be my room or requirement. I want to draw something new. Dunno what yet, don't have the time either. Even if my mind and spirit are stuck in the u-bend, I try not to let my health go down the drain as well. I've been awfull sick twice since last Christmas. Not again!
Not very cheerfull, am I? Sorry. I feel better when the sun is out, the flowers in bloom, the wind warm and fragrant...
Anyways.
I feel like kicking some asses. Maybe a game of Champions of Noraths will do me some good. No can do. My PS2 is going blind, can't read the disc anymore.
How swell. It keeps getting better and better.

Yes, I'm still alive, and still depressed I guess, since I neglect just about everything in my life. But hey! Who cares! I sure don't care about that either. My ray of sunshine in this mess has always been Harry Potter stuff. That can always cheer me up. And SPEAKING OF WHICH! :

(taratataaa!) MY ROOM OF RIQUIREMENTS IS almost FINISHED!!!!

My Dumbledore portrait is not done yet, and I still want a rug on my foor..... but I'VE GOT PICTURES!!!. My dad bought a digital camera and he took pictures of my room, and my new and beautiful (HARRY POTTER!!!) lamp!!! hehe.

The making of my special room is going very well! My bookcases are almost done. I hope to finish them today. And tomorow I'm going to the fabric store with my mum. She'S going to give me her old rocking armchair (They had that chair since before I was born) it's an old orange tartan with green stipes. That wont do for my room, so we're bying fabric to cover it up.
Hihihi, this is great. I'll probably make a sketch of how the room will look like when it'll be finished. I hope it will look exactly as I planed in the end...furnitures, paintings and all.

I'm there, but not really. 've been wallowing in the depths od despair since my boyfriend left me. I don't have, the heart or the energy to to much except planing for my Hogwarts' Room of Requirement.
I'm going cover one wall with shelves and books, and the other with my big portrait of Dumbledore (not done yet) a framed Marauders Map, Sirius Black's wanted poster, The Black Family Tree (maybe). I'm saving money to buy at The Noble Collection, items of Harry Potter. And I want the sword of Gryffindor!

Yeah, we had our second snowstorm this year, on Valentine's day. Not as big as somewhere esle on this side of the globe but, with the very low temperatures that we get day after day, it's a bit much for me. Still, you should see what they got down in New York.... First of, I should apoligize to all my friends out there, I didn't meen to make you worry because of my absence on Deviant, and to all the new friends. I'll make time to answer your comments and send you a thanks for all the favs (more than 150 favorites in my messages).

Things haven't really changed since my last entry in my journal. I'm busy with my new and exiting job, and I've worked on week-ends too. On my days off, I sleep 'till noon, and then go shopping for my christmas gifts. I'm making all of them this year, and I'm sewing a new dress for x-mas as well. A real expensive one at that. All silk with beads and embroidery.

Yep, the new job is really great. I'm working with a fun and crazy group. Well, not all of them are mental, but I have to work with the worse of the lot (and I mean it in the nicest way!) There's a raging war between us two. It seems that since I'm part of the group now, there's no more need to play nice with me. It all started when...let's call him Mr Piggy (he really sings like Miss Piggy(the french version). He does it on purpose because he knows it annoys me to no end) For whatever reason, he asked me how old I was. When I told him, he was surprised. It's like he seems to think that I've made him beleive that I was 10 years younger than I really am, and that I must now pay for my deception. Since then he calls me the old maid, or something like it. I call him old man.

And from that moment, we call each other names, throw things, fight, and play nasty jokes. Like when I taped his pack of cigarettes to the table and poured water in his latex glove. (we work with ink and solvents, so we have to wear gloves when we clean the screens on the machines) For that, he taped my shoes together. I had to cut through several layers of wrapping tape. Later that week, I cleverly hid his beloved sweater in a tiny drawer. HE never found it, and he wasn't happy. I had to tell him where I hid it, he was starting to feel cold. So the next day he got his revenge. THE MORON PUT INK IN MY GLOVE!!! There's a reason why I put water in his glove: it dries. My hand was all stained with red ink and my grove went into the trash. Well, I got him nice and good today. I put hand cream in his glove. Bwahahahahahaha! And the sweetest part of it is that he played a trick on me the moment before, and because he was so pleased with himself he forgot to look in his glove before he put it on.

I never had so much fun working, even when the old man keeps singing off-key all day, I've got my ear-plugs.

I'm going to pay for that joke tomorrow that's for sure. Don't worry, I'm not without ammo for my next battle. .

Yep, I love my job.

It's not my dream jod, but the salary is more than I ever made and the people there are quite nice, when they are not running about like mad trying to get thingd done in time. It's a small company, and we print lots of things for other company across Canada. We print stickers, magnets, mouse pads, banners, decals.....

Anyway...

If you are waiting to see my latest work, you'll have to be patient, sorry. I'm working on a big project (34"X40") I'm decorating what was my brother's room, in a Dumbledore/Hogwarts kind of room. So I'm painting a big portrait of the late Headmaster Dumbledore.
The curtains are almost done. There's no furniture, but there's a nice little Antique shop near my place, and they have beautifull things that I probably can't afford but would do nicely in my room. There's a list of things I want to buy from Noble Collection (thanks to my dear friend Weasleygirl, I've discovered this wonderfull place) Buy Godrick Gryffindor is at the top of my list!! I can't wait to get started! One thing at a time....and little by little.

I'm still here. I'm not dead. But I'm long overdue for a new drawing to add in my gallery. I'm waiting to be inspired and above all, I need to be relaxed enough to be able to hear my inner muse.

I was thinking about making another watercolor like I used to do. Like Fight Back, Blossom and Whispers....Yeah.
There is no need to send me ideas, but thanks anyway if you want to. I'm not planning on doing scenes from the books (it depends where my muse takes me, I may end up doing that anyway)
I want to use our beloved characters to express myself and my feelings through my art. Yep.

I know I havn't been around lately, nor posted anything for a bit, but it was rather a busy month for me.

Exciting, difficult, busy, tiring but in the end, the best vacations I had in a long time. At the beginning of the month, I had exams for two weeks before another two of summer vacations.
The first week of my freedom, my cousin stayed at my place for a few days. It was too hot outside to go skate rolling. So, the only thing we did was play games on the playstation. We finished Baldur's Gate 1, and started Game 2. It was fun.

Then, I had to leave for a film shooting in wich I made the FX Make-up. I just came back yesterday. Now, my friend Josée his working on the film, 'cause I couldn't stay 'till the end in August.. It's a nice place in the wood, very far from any big city. There's no electricity or anything. Cell phones were useless of course. I stayed in a one room chalet with the actors. The only chalet that had an indoor washroom, toilet and hot water. The water came from the lake, and we drank pure water from a spring coming from a mountain nearby. I really enjoyed my time there, but I'm glad to be back home again. Away from the blood-sucking mosquitoes from Hell. They made a feast of my right foot two days ago, it look like I've got chicken pox again.

My birthday's coming soon, and next month will be a busy one so I think I should write a few words in case I can't find the time.

Things are going fine at school. I just came back from an exhibition about the printing business, the new technology, machines and products. It was really interesting. We were able to bring some samples home. I have two posters, a world map and fishes, a magic hand cleaner (removes all types of nasty ink that you can get on your skin).
That was enough for me. But my friends brought back huge plastic pannels of Finding Nemo, cars, barely clad Jennyfer Lopez.....plastic pictures cut in the shape of Yoda, Sponge Bob, Pinochio, Bart Simpson, Felix the Cat. One teacher got the 6'x6' banner of the Incledible Hulk.

Yep that was fun, and next week, our class is going to visit the company that makes the ink that we use for printing. Cant say things are boring in this class.

http://Sukiitoko.deviantart.com/journal/8274968/ Sun, 26 Mar 2006 13:15:33 PST I only have 6 hours of class per day, but I have to get up at 5 AM, ride the bus for an hour or so. And went I get home, I feel like taking a nap before supper. I souldn't be this tired, but I am.
Anyway! I really like this class, love the teachers. One looks like my dad, gray hair, going bald, small reading glasses....and he's nice. The other teacher is cool too, he's Italian and always laughting.

I just wish the other students were cool has well. We are 16 students, we have to work together for 8 months....without killing each other....Two of the students have done prison, one for being an accomplice to a theft, the other because he almost beat someone to death (he's a bit mental, but he's quite harmless as long as he takes his pills) One guy is part of a street gang, another one I can only suspect. Three girls, not married with childrens, a punk with a small massage business who likes to play golf. An Italian, he laugh a lot, but he's always making lewd jokes.

We didn't get to do much in the workshop, we had to cleen the place up before we begin. The students in the printing class left a mess behind. Ink prints on doors, containers and machines. The wash basins were so caked with grime that it took two days to peel it off. And they left a bottle of solvent drip onto the floor and it made a big hole. Let's just hope everything will be cleen and spotless when we get back in a week.

Still...I like it and most of the group get along rather well. The weather here is a lot better (sunny and above zero) It's spring after all! Can't wait for the Easter holidays. Now that I'm getting some money, my mind is more at ease, I don't have to worry about borrowing money to pay the bills. I can buy my food and eat better. Yeah!

You got to be there five days a week, and be there on time! One sick day per month. If you can't make it, you're fired! Seriously! And no summer vacation.
So, starting now, I'll have to wake up at 5h30 every morning until the end of october, and pray that I'll never be late for class...or sick.

Anyway. It's going to be pretty interesting. If I get to draw, then I'll be even more happy. And If I get to print my drawing on t-shirts, or mugs, and be allowed to keep them, then joy oh joy!

If you're wondering what kind of training I'll be doing...it's hard to say, I don't know if there's a word in english that faithfully translate what it means. It's much more than just printing, it's called "Sérigraphie"(in french) or screen printing. You can print on anything: plastic, glass, ceramic, metals, textiles.... But it wont be all about printing techniques, we'll learn about the trade, the market and prices in the business.

Don't worry, I'll have time for Deviant. Since it not really like school and more like a job, that means no homework. (Ill have to read stuff and study *duh!*....I love to read so it doesn't really count )

They had to change a lot of the story to make it fit, cut some here and there, change the characters (Dumbledore is a bit mad in this film....he looses is calm more than once, and it's scary. Beside him, Snape looks almost nice.)
Love it! Great movie! The duel with Voldemort is quite awesome. I want to see it again and buy the soundtrack!

GASP! DID YOU KNOW THAT THAT SOUNDTRACK WASN'T MADE BY JOHN WILLIANS! I CAN'T BELEIVE THIS. My all time favourite composer didn't do the last Harry Potter Soundtrack. I'm listening to it right now, and I have goosepumps, maybe this Patrick Doyle isn't so bad after all. Here's his discography: [link] And I didn't even notice the difference when I watched the movie. WOW! I've got non-stop goosepumps. His music's good!

It's just something I made up. The poor git won't probably recover until Neville gets his Master in Herbology and find a potion that will cure incurable diseases. We know he's not that good in potions, so it will take a while....

There's nothing really new on my side. I have a few pics I'm planning to do (pictures of the four founders of Hogwarts) while I still have the time.

I thought I would be busy with my new job, but it didn't work. It was supposed to be full time, but now I'm lucky if I can work two days a week. Ridiculous. So I gave them my resignation, and I'll be gone in two weeks. I have another job waiting for me, it's a two week contract, but it will get me enought money. I'll have to look for work again once this contract is finished.

2005 wasn't my lucky year. I rather forget it altogether. But nice things happened that I won't forget; DA of course, Harry Potter (the book and the film)....

Anyway, it could be worse. I'm not really worried, beside the fact that I'm almost broke (making Christmas gifs this year will be a challenge) I'll be O.K.

Changes are coming, some are good, some are bad. I'm happy that my brother found a new job, but he'll have to leave our apartment and more far away. Good for him, he's reaaly exited. You know my brother, him:

Since I'm totally clueless with computers, I'll have to find a way to manage without his precious help. (technical and financial). Which means that I will no longer have access to a scanner (well, I never had, he did all the scans of my pics on his machine).

And I'll have to get a new internet access. My laptop uses a link to his computer to get on line. I'll be out of touch for a few days.

So, no brother genius, no scanner, no internet, no money, no job (well I do have one, sort of. It's a long story....) no time. I'm a full time apprentice in a workshop. I'll have to to work day, night and weekends to be able to pay for the apartment. If I can get a decent part-time job. Things look awefull from my perspective.

It doesn't mean that I'll leave deviant! Because I DON'T WANT TO!!

I'll keep on drawing Harry Potter arts (If I don't collapse from overwork). Drawing Harry stuffs and being on Deviant are part of what keeps me sane here.... I'll save a few penny to by a scanner, I'll learn to use it, and I'll post all the arts I did while I couldn't be on line.

There's going to be a lot of unhappy people....kids mostly. They'll take it hard the "supposed betrayal of certain characters.

Well, on a happier note, there will be a lot of "I've told you so's" . About a few couple getting together in this book and all the thing we have forseen. I must say I was wrong about the identity of the Half Blood Prince, but my reasonning was correct, although there were no actual proof that this person was a pureblood. It fooled me.

Yes, it was a good read, and a good book, I almost cried. Almost, because I was mad at that time too. I'm still in shock, I've have to wait for everything to sink in.
A good story, but it doesn't top Prizoner of Azkaban. And I'll say it again, this book is not for kids, 13 and up.

I wish I could say more, but I promised not spoilers. I'm itching to talk about it. So many things happen in this story.
