I FINALLY went through all of my dev watches. I had 1800 of them to go through, since before the beginning of the semester! It took over 6 hours, probably 9 at most. I hadn't checked them all semester. @_@

It was great to see all the artwork though.

I've decided to change my major to art, in fact, rather than computers (with a game design emphasis). Art works pretty good for me, I enjoy it and I know I can get an edumacation for it. Plus, I want to improve in it anyway!

This next semester I'm taking Beginning Drawing (do I need it?), Beginning Sculpture (mostly because I want to get some skills for ZBrush, which I want to poke), and some other art classes. I love how most of my classes are art courses, it's going to be a blast! Especially because this semester I had all these academic courses and I did REALLY REALLY BAD!!!! My poor poor GPA. Hopefully it's not bad enough to where the university I want to transfer to for fall 2008 doesn't accept me. That would be quite the complication, because the university I'm at isn't very good in the art department!

Anyway, I must apologize because I've only drawn smut this past semester and I can't upload it to DA without getting in trouble. =] I don't even know if I'm going to upload it to y!Gallery or what... some of it is of furry characters so it might not pass there either. We'll see! But you can be assured that I will be uploading art as soon as I return to school (where my scanner is). I'd do some digital art, but I don't like starting digitally, especially because I only have a mouse and it's horrendously slow. I need to get a tablet and learn how to use it, and then the digital component of my work will be so much easier.

But I'm poor, so art stuff is going to have to wait until I have a job and have paid for other necessities. My art wishlist, though, contains a new desktop computer (mine kinda br0ked), a tablet, a light box, a new pencil set (missing the best pencils from mine...), erasers and stuff, ZBrush3 (expensive software is ebil), and a deviantART subscription, maybe. Probably buy pencils/erasers first, then light box, then start saving for expensive stuffs. Need a joooob.

I'd sell commissions, but... well, I don't have that much confidence in my art, and I'm not sure I could be responsible enough to do them. You see, I have this really bad history of, well... NOT doing Gaia commissions from years ago. Yeah, it's pretty bad. (Yes, I feel horrible about it too! Maybe that's where I'll start this semester with art.)

I really need to do more artwork! I have been such a slacker on art since I started college. Neeeed to do moooooaaaarr.

I would like to practice shading more with graphite/pencil, but without smudging or blending with other tools. Basically, I would like to study further into crosshatching, using lines, etc. If you have any advice or useful links please share.

Landscapes, architecture, etc.
I do not have much practice in these things or a real desire to create any, but I would like to start adding backgrounds to my work.

Cloth, tapestry, folds
While I am doing some studying of these, I'm still very uncomfortable with how well I accomplish them. If you have any links, even basic stuff, it would be appreciated if you would share.

Nails
Hands and feet are not so hard if you practice enough, but I can never seem to get the nails right! Any advice would be appreciated on how to create beautiful or stylistic nails.

Fur, Feathers, Scales
I am currently entering into the genre of anthro and would appreciate any useful tips and such on how to draw these things. I have very little practice so anything would be appreciated. For example, how hair grows on the body... I've seen it somewhere once, hmm....

Anyway, that's about it for now! Any help appreciated.

I did so by just going through my watch list. Very convenient, I was also able to remove artists who I no longer wanted to watch.

Anyway, I'm having trouble finding references for designs. I've tried searching for clothing, and fashion, and stuff, but I don't know enough about it to know exactly what I'm looking for. A lot of the time I end up with dresses and modern fashion and stuff, usually for women, when I'm looking for male clothing ideas most of the time.

I have gotten a lot of inspiration from Tetsuya Nomura, but not very much. I'm very interested in ancient fashion, like from Greece/Rome, and Egypt. I found maybe one or two sites that are decent, but don't have as many samples as I'd like. On Amazon.com, I found some great children's books on ancient fashion (the pictures were exactly what I was looking for), but I'd have to BUY them. And I'm a poor college student, so that's not really an option right now.

If anyone has any links they could throw my way, it would be much appreciated. I guess what I'm looking for is references; good, clear, large references. On another note, inking is hard! XP I got some inking pens, right? I can't seem to ink very smoothly with them. They're Indian Ink, and they seem to make dark lines and everything, but they're rather difficult to control, and it's hard to make smooth, unshaky lines. Any advice?

So anyhoot, I have some great ideas for my next pieces! I think that I'm going to start inking all my work (maybe I'll get better), and I'm going to try to make some actual background too! O.O Hehehe, they're probably goingt to take forever. XD
