Katrine: Oh, it was fantastic. It got a little weird at some points, living with my aunts and uncles and god only knows how I'm related to anyone else but Syrena...especially when Weiss would ask me about girl stuff like hair and makeup...but it was fun!



2. Character number three, if you could go back in time and change one thing, what would it be?

Syrena: uhm...I can't think of anything, actually. I learn from my mistakes, and I cherish the memories of the good things that happened. If you change something that's bad, you won't learn from it, and then you'll just screw it up all over again. So...no.



3. Number two, would you rather be immortal and eternally miserable, or live a mortal, blissfully peaceful life?

Sang: If immortality made me any more miserable than I am now, I would FIND a way to die. So, death would be the better option.



4. Say, character number three, how much do you weigh?

Syrena: less than Wolfgang and more than Weiss. And I think just a little more than Star...



5. Have you ever loved and lost, number one? I'll bet it was your fault, wasn't it? Tsk tsk...

Katrine: *knocks interviewer on the head* It most certainly WASN'T my fault, because I've never lost someone, not in the way you're talking about, anyway. There just aren't many people out there who really catch my eye, is all. When I was younger, boys would come up to me (or Syrena, back when we both had the same hair color) and tell me they liked me, but I would just have to apologize and say I didn't feel the same, because I DIDN'T. I got a reputation as a real heartbreaker at one point, but it's just because I haven't found the right person yet. I follow my father's concept of true love to the letter. I mean, look where it got him!



6. Oh, no character two! You've just strolled into a department store to admire the lovely washing machines when a guy with a nylon stocking over his head runs in and holds the whole store at gunpoint! How will you save the day? (If you are a coward and do not wish to save the day, what do you do upon Stocking Head's arrival?)

Sang: I find a way around sock-face and leave the store. If sock-face tries to stop me from leaving...depending on who's in charge at the time, there are several ways I would incapacitate him, a few of which will end in his death. So, either way, not a good outlook for sock-face.


7. Number Three, tell your best "Yo Momma" joke.

Syrena: uh...I don't get those...what's so funny about insulting someone's mom? My mom's just fine (if a little nuts), and most of the people's moms that I know are just as nice. I just don't see the point.



8. Who is the one person you cannot live without, character number one? Why? (Please don't say Oprah, please don't say Oprah...)

Katrine: Mein lieber Schwester, Sy-lu! *squeez*

Katrine: I listen to Tokio Hotel, Paramore, Cinema Bizarre, and there's this one song by Versailles called Zombie that I really like. Other than that, it's really more rockish music that I like, Three Days Grace, Linkin Park, and the like. I play piano, guitar, and bass when I feel like it.

Sang: Hoshiko's got a thing for Japanese music, but Sable and Doll really like the Dresden Dolls. The lounge-style piano and drums combo really works. Kyung and I like certain types of jazz. Not the stupid, high-brow kind, but the you-know-somebody-committed-murder-to-this-song kind of jazz. I can sing pretty well. Sable likes to sing low, and Hoshiko likes to sing high, so my range keeps in pretty good shape.

Syrena: I listen to a lot of Japanese stuff, Versailles, Moi Dix Mois, Gackt, but I also listen to Tokio Hotel and Cinema Bizarre. After that, it's orchestral stuff, like Within Temptation and Trans-Siberian orchestra. I sing a LOT (I get it from my parents, XD), and I know one song on guitar (which, oddly enough, is Zombie). Shizuka v. Mystique. Believe it or not, this might actually happen. One day Shizuka gets bored and decides to have a friendly match. She also sells tickets beforehand to all of her friends. They end up blowing things up, and in the end Shizuka vaporizes them both to God knows where. They both emerge declaring that the other won, but no one can get either of them to say just what happened.

Jasper? He'd just go in and take it. Very straightforward. But, I can't imagine what Marionette would TAKE.

Syrena: Actually, my childhood was great. My twin sister and I were kept safe and secure, and both of our parents were really supportive of us...not common where we lived.

Tora: At this point, I'm afraid to mess with time...right now, I've got a real "don't fuck with fate" thing going...I guess I'd go back and be more open with Danny

This is so awesome. I've got my costume all made and everything. It was originally designed as a visual kei/lolita kind of thing made out of some clothes I already have, and in the end it turned out quite gothic. I like it.

Yeah, it's about time I let my age show a little bit. Guess what, Internet? I'm a senior in high school, and I'm six weeks from OUT.

Oh, am I happy about that. It's driving me MAD that I'm still stuck at home. My hands are itching for a lighter, but I don't feel like a cigarette, and if I have to go to church one more time and make nice with all the rich people who have been praying for me since before I was born, I'm going to kill something. I know they're probably going to shower me with graduation gifts, but they've got a little too much southern honey in their voices for me to stand.

Hence, the name change. I handed out invitations to my little celebration (I'm having an X-Men movie marathon tonight), and almost half of the people I gave invitations to were stunned that I wasn't at least two years older already than the age I am as of today. (NOT SAYING NOTHING, SO DON'T!)

So, I'm waiting on Becca to get me so we can go see The Golden Compass. I gave and took the Daemon quiz on the movie website. Mine's a black cat named Rathsmus. I like him.

Not much else to be said. I told everyone who asked me what I wanted to get me calligraphy pens. My nib's about to wear out. And, I need a new itsy notebook to carry in my purse. It's running out of paper. I got the thing in June, didn't use it for three months, and it's already running out of paper.

I write too much. I love that.

One more time, SPOILERS, PEOPLE! FROM EVERY SINGLE BOOK!

While reading the lovely bit of literature known as Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, I noticed parallels between the other six books and the seventh.
Let us begin:

Philosopher's Stone:
I fully agree with Hagrid's thematic positions in carrying Harry's body and bringing him along in the motorcycle. He was, again, a key element in helping Harry escape positions over which he had no control (from Dursleys to Death Eaters).
Also, Neville being the one to stand up when no one else would echoes back to those lovely house points Neville earned in PS for enduring a well-placed full-body-bind that was the result of his standing up to Hermione (who, let it be said, reminded me of myself a scary number of times in this book, as she did in PS *it scared my mother*).
The challenges in getting our lovely trio to the Stone in the first book are reminiscent of the many trials and tribulations they go through in Deathly Hallows, but the latter are much more involved, much more antiauthority (they're risking way more than expulsion this time around), and definitely much more dangerous.
Both the Snitch Harry caught in his mouth and Dumbledore's Deluminator should also be mentioned. (I thought "I open at the close" meant he had to try to swallow it...shows you what I know.)
The instant Horcruxes were explained in HBP, I knew Harry had to be a living Horcrux, mostly due to the constant theme of there being an intrinsic connection between Harry and Voldemort. My fear, however, was that Harry would have to actually die for the whole thing to end. Turns out I was wrong. Thank god.
Oh, and Norbert. Or, rather, Norberta.

Chamber of Secrets:
The Chamber itself goes without saying, as do the Basilisk Fangs (though, oddly enough, neither Hermione nor Ron made it to the Basilisk in CoS to begin with...)
Also, Ron running out on Harry and Hermione hearkens back to when Hermione was petrified and Harry and Ron had to get to the Chamber without her (though she didn't exactly leave them voluntarily, and she did leave them the essential solution to their problem).
Harry and Ginny's relationship always reminds me of her little crush on him in CoS. That's more than likely just me.

Prisoner of Azkaban:
The Shrieking Shack, for one. And the Marauder's map. Also, the destruction of Harry's broom hearkens back to the Willow's dismemberment of the Nimbus. Harry's birthday Sneakoscope is also rather heartwarming. Also: Stan Shuntpike, who was also mentioned in OOtP. Turning the Resurrection Stone three times, like the Time Turner, is another bit of reminiscence.
Now for the intangibles: There is the theme of Harry being "on the run", except this time he really is. (Those who don't get that: I'm referring to when Harry made Aunt Marge blow up and fled to the Knight bus because he thought he would have to run for it.) There is also a figure in Harry's past whose involvement Harry was never really aware of, and said figure seemed totally against Harry, but in reality was working for him, whether he wanted to or not. I am referring, of course, to Severus Snape (for whom I almost cried). Face it: Harry didn't like Snape. Snape didn't like Harry. But my heaven, he was so sweet to look after him for Lily's sake. Also, Wormtail finally repaying Harry (however involuntarily) for saving his life was great. Lupin's inner weakness (did he really think he could get away with leaving Tonks and Teddy?) also comes to light here, which I think makes him a better character overall.

Goblet of Fire:
The reappearance of Krum and Rita Skeeter, Mad-Eye, the twin-core issue, all of the assorted Death Eaters, Wormtail's hand, The Unforgiveables (this is where they were introduced, after all), and...this was the book where characters started dying (Cedric). This was the book that made the series get serious, in my opinion. All of the issues that came to light in the Trials Harry saw in Dumbledore's pensieve also came up again, which I liked.

Order of the Phoenix:
Though this is arguably my least favorite book (capslock Harry, for starters), there is an awful lot that gets transferred here that makes DH so great.
First of all (like I need to say it): Umbridge shows us just who she's really been working for this whole time. Ick. Second, sweet little Kreacher tells us the story behind his bigoted muttering. I actually hope he lived through the Battle of Hogwarts. I really do. Third, the Death Eaters' Muggle-Born prejudice comes to a sickening head. Egh. Oh, and then there's Bellatrix. Yeah. I don't even want to know what's between her and Voldemort, but I think it's just a power play, personally. I now have all three of them and let me say, it's about time. Half Price Books: Good if you're looking for a cheap book of Shadows, bad if you're looking for a book written something close to six years ago. And a serious rip-off in giving you your money's worth for your stuff. I gave them three perfectly good CDs in their cases with the information booklets and everything, and I get a dollar and eighty-eight cents!

Anyway, now that I have it, not only is B&N my favorite store now, I have something to do with my time!

Oh, and before I left for DC, I (took me long enough, I know) got a copy of X2. Now all I need is the first one, and a quick trip to Wal-Mart should solve that. I also got LXG in Gatlinburg (at walmart, no less!). Lemme tell you, Gatlinburg-Pigeon Forge have now been officially renamed the land of a thousand tourist traps. If (more like when) I finish it, there will be another story, another COMPLETE story, posted here, in a completely different setting, called (unless I can think of a better title) Take It and Run. It's got a whole different cast of characters, and a lot less characters, now that I think about it. No vampires yet, though. At least, I don't think so. That may change, but I don't know...it seems to be coming along just fine without one.

I'll be off until this afternoon, and I'll probably work on Take It and Run when I do get home.

I told my choir director's husband (yes, I sing in choir. I'm a soprano, and apparently a good one, since I'm in the top level, with the people who actually read music) that I write, and he wants to see my work. He's really interested, which makes sense. He's a serious comic book fan, but his realm of choice is (get ready for it) Superman. He has an entire room in his house filled with Superman stuff. It's pretty hilarious. His wife thinks it's hilarious, anyway. He's also a good friend of mine, so I may send him part of Take It and Run. I know he knows me well enough not to freak about it. 2) How old is he/she? It honestly varies. No younger than 16 and no older than 22.
3) Is your OC a boy or girl? Girl
4) What's his/her race? Dead God, I don't know. She's definitely got a bit of Japanese blood, though. Something Latin, too, to give her my lips (which are quite full).

Appearance:
1) If this character were to suddenly become part of the 3D world, and ended up in a heavily-populated area, how many stares would he/she get? Quite a few, considering how she dresses. (think a cross between Madame Battolli and Princess Ai). She's also the lead singer of a pretty well-known band.
2) Is your character considered normal in his/her own world?I'd say not. She's got a real double life going on. Around town, she dresses "normally" which involves several kinds of theatrical makeup, and onstage she can be herself (a blue-haired vampyre).
3) What would be his/her most recognizable feature(s)? Midnight (think in between Mystique and Nightcrawler) blue hair, deathly pale skin, umm...I don't know, FANGS? She manages to hide all this in public, though.
4) Would you consider your OC as attractive? Yes. She makes a bit of a conscious effort to hide her...everything, though. She has a bit of physical paranoia after her childhood.

Personality:
1) Temper: Very quiet, except when you make her mad. Has a frightening tendency to do what she's told.
2) Does your character ever get depressed? She's past that point. If you tell her some statistic or some tragedy, she'll just look at you and say, "Well, I could have told you that!". She's really lost faith in humanity. Saves her from the shock factor.
3) Leader or Follower? She's really a follower. I suppose she could be a leader in a really dire situation.
4)What is the main aspect of his/her personality? She's a healer. Physically and emotionally. Her music is intended to express what she really feels. She's always ready to comfort someone (Especially Desdi)

1) Does your OC have a family of any sort? Erm...not really. Bad experience that ostracized her from her mother. Her main family is the rest of the band.
2) Is your character out on his/her own? No. She's got Raven, the string player (violin, cello, string bass, harp, etc.), Rebekka, the drummer, Marie, the bassist (Or keyboards when Syrena plays bass), Stitches, the visual effects guy, and Desdi, the guitarist.

There's a guy I sit next to in Chemistry, and he's an absolute GENIUS. He's pretty cute, too (and he has GREAT potential for the future in the looks department, as well). He's hilarious, if not slightly insane, and he has this unparalleled ablilty to make you giggle. Dear LORD, I'm falling for him. Never thought in a MILLION years this would happen. I mean, I've known him for...a while, but I haven't actually held a conversation with him until Wednesday. But here's the real killer. His name is....

DANIEL. I'm falling for a crazy genius named Danny. Could this be any cooler? Difference is, he's more of a scientific genius than a musical one. But he is really good at music, too (he's in the drumline in the marching band). But that fits my style as well. My main aspiration is to be a doctor, followed by singing myself to death (not literally, but I have been told I have a really good singing voice).

So, yeah. He hasn't asked me out, probably never will (I think he's taken, but I'm really not sure...) But anyways, a girl can dream, can't she?

Making Christmas started playing over the PA system. It was the weirdest thing ever. I mean, I knew they still had their Christmas-y montage of music playing, but never in e thiousand years did I expect that. It was a nice surprise, though.

So...yeah. Got new pajamas. They're red with little scotty dogs on the pants. And the sir has LONG SLEEVES OMG.

SO, I opened my annual early Christmas-Eve prezzies this morning, and it was....Whoonu. By Cranium. Best. Game. Ever. You guess what the other person's favorite thing is. It's great.

It's great. We've been going around the church singing Kidnap the Sandy Claws (is there something wrong with that?) since before Halloween. It's great. I cna finally talk to him about something BESIDES what's on Toonami, THANK GOD (it gets irritating). And he sings REALLY WELL. He's not quite up to Danny's level because of his accent, but he's still REALLY GOOD.

Things are finally winding down, commitment-wise. I finally got myself an actual copy of Demon Days (rather than the iTunes thing I keep going back to) at Barnes & Noble with a giftcard I got for my birthday (not like I'd find anything else there, anyway). However, upon getting home, my CD player got knocked out of my hands, and Demon Days promptly landed on the DRIVEWAY. FACE. UP.

In other news, I've got my solo for the Christmas Eve service (Yes, my Church) nailed, I know for sure I'm getting that Zen Micro, and my dress that I'm sewing together, if all goes well, will look like complete and utter CRUD.

Bleh. I swear, if I get Making Christmas stuck in my head any further, it's going to start leaking out my ears. Got to find a new song...... GOT IT! Little Girls! The whole reason (well, part of it, at least) why I'm giving her the present to begin with! Yay!
