Since 2 people tagged me I'm going to do it.. this is my second attempt after Facebook erasing the first 4.. :/ (I tagged the people on facebook)

Rules: Once you’ve been tagged, you are supposed to write a note with 18 random things, facts, habits, or goals about you. At the end, choose 18 people to be tagged, and the person who tagged you. If I tagged you, it’s because I want to know more about you.

1) I'm Shy. I know that some of you are screaming "bullshit", but its true. I may be blunt, and loud, and generally unafraid to speak my mind, but I hate initiating conversations. I'm shy with new people, and I hate calling anyone, and the phone in general most of the time.. I usually get over it quickly, but it's true..

2) I feel most comfortable with Cole.. this may be an obvious statement, so let me explain. When Im around other people I tend to be more tense.. rude? Blunt and harsh I guess you would say.. I've been called a 'bitch' by friend and foe alike. Some people think I boss Cole around, because of the way I tend to act when people are around.. but the truth is, when everyone leaves, Im a little girl again. I can be goofy, and flighty, and cute, and bouncy.. all the things that feel completely unnatural with MOST other people.. It's rare that I show that side, unless I'm in a particularly good mood. He lets me be vulnerable, and I know I won't get hurt..

3) I long to be covered in color. I wish I could have rainbow skin (literally). So after working two jobs randomly for 8 months, and trying to quit my second job for almost a year now, I'm finally and completely done today, I quit, and it was a happy day!!!!

Now i have a set schedule of 5-10 6 days a week, which sounds like a lot, but that leaves the mornings to myself for my art, my tattooing, all the things that have taken a backseat to slave labor!

soooo that means more artwork will be coming out, i will finally look at the 3,651 deviations and the 163 Favorites and devwatches that I have yet to give the attention that it needs!

and the collaboration effort will go into full steam! Ill be checking up on everyone who is part of it to see where we all stand!

THE COLLABORATION!!!!

Well ive had the idea in my head for a while of a huge collab between 13 artists (including myself) where we each represent a zodiac sign (preferably their own sign) and we make corresponding pieces showing each element by me, and by the artist who attains that zodiac..

I've filled in all the stock photos, and each Zodiac spot has been filled!!!

RULES

You should know me by now.. rules? pssshhhh.. feel free to crop, change anything, and everything, this is representing your style, your interpretation, perspective of the Zodiac you Chose/Are!!! Have Fun!!!!

So the Idea is I will do one of each zodiac, using the given stock photo, and each person assigned to each zodiac will do their version of that sign with that stock photo! We are both doing our own separate pieces, at least that's the idea, but if you would like to do a 1/2 & 1/2 collab, just let me know! Im totally up for it too! (me and are doing a single collab, instead of two separate pieces! )

Like I've mentioned before, I'm working 3 jobs at the moment, so I dont have a lot of time on the computer, so Im extending the deadline to December 30th, to give me (and the procrastinator that I am) and everyone else ample time to finish, but I would like to see this all come together within the next few months!!!

So Yesterday, I woke up at 4:30am to be at the Civic Center by 5:00. When I got there most of the work had already been done, I set up the eSlate machine and sat down behind it with my book, prepared to drone the day away. I worked with 5 other people, Margie and her son, Freddy, Liz and another woman that I didn't catch her name. Margie basically ran the whole thing, made all the decisions and acted as the resident "know it all".

Now for those of you who don't know, there are a lot of rules that go into running an election, running the machines, and allowing people to vote. You have to be prompt, enforce rules, be polite, and you cannot mention, nor let people mention, politics in any form.

Well Margie decided to open the elections early.. 20 minutes early.. she also closed down one of the machines 20 minutes early, 2 very clear violations of election officer laws.

At about 12:00 I started a conversation with Margie, someone who has been running the machines for a few years now, why we don't have paper receipts that we could check on, or some sort of paper trail to know that our vote was recorded correctly. She says "no.. we've NEVER done that, I can't believe people would even want a paper ballot! People just need to trust that the machines are recording their vote!!"

Obviously I was in shock.. I asked "If you were to deposit money to a bank, wouldnt you want a receipt to show that you deposited it?" She had nothing to say.

Side note: the same people who make the 1242 machines also make ATM's across the world....

So, about 2:00 or so a friend of mine that helped run the Ron Paul Bardstown meetup-group came in, Jeremy. He signed in, and went to the machine farthest from me, and didn't actually see me the entire time. When he finished voting, he stepped out and asked if there was any type of receipt. "No," said Freddy, "you just have to trust us, thats all you get!" An old 7th grade Science teacher, Mr Stark, stood in line laughing at Jeremy, like it was a stupid question.

"Well I don't really feel like this machine is trustworthy.. I trust what I can see in black and white, and I trust a machine that keeps a record I can look at."

"Well thats it, you don't get anything else, sorry about your luck" said Freddy. Jeremy walked out quietly, no scene was created.

Right as he left, Margie says "Reminds me of High School, they just don't have any sense."

About 5 minutes later her son comes up, who had been outside acting as the Sherriff, "Who was he voting for?" Freddy says "He was writing in Ron Paul". They all start laughing. Other voters are still signing in DIRECTLY in front of their faces while they say this. "How funny, he shouldve just written Ron Pauls name on a piece of paper, then he'd have his 'receipt'". "Ron Paul.. what a joke.." and other such comments..

I was boiling in my seat. I had barely spoken all day, I had my nose in my book the entire time. I sat up, scooted over and said "Umm.. excuse me, but you better watch out who you are making fun of. I actually know the person you are speaking of, and I happen to be a Ron Paul supporter, so keep your comments to yourselves."

Margies son jumps into the air and screams "OOOHH-Ho-Ho!! Youve made her mad!!" and runs out the door down the hallway like a little fucking kid. Margie goes "Oh I wasnt making fun.... Im sorry.."

and nothing more is said, Im barely talked to for the rest of the evening.

After talking to Cole about it, I've decided that I'm going to be a whistle-blower and tell the woman who organizes it all. I'd feel like a coward if I didn't say anything.




So I came home last night.. and Me and cole decided to go to bed at 8:00. I had no desire to even watch the outcome of the sham.



As far as my feelings on the outcome of the election.. I'll let a few other people speak for me...

I can't believe how amazing it was.. I just watched Nine Inch Nails at Rupp Arena in Lexington Kentucky..

Now.. I've been to a LOT of shows in my life, its kind of a hobby of mine.. I love live music.. I was introduced to Nine Inch Nails when i was 8 by my loving (and kick-ass, heavy metal lovin) Father, along with Marilyn Mansons Spooky Kids, Korn 'Korn', and Tool's Opiate and Undertow. (yes.. thats why I turned out the way I did.. XD) So Ive been waiting for a LOOONNNGGG time to get to see Nine Inch Nails.. everytime they've come around I havent had the money, but my two good friends bought me and my husband the tickets..

The show was incredible.. we walked in after the first band had played, (I couldve cared less) we were on the floor, and about 12 rows of people back from the front when we walked in. I couldnt believe how close we were! We waited for only about 15 minutes and the show started. Throughout the entire thing he balanced every 2 songs or so with fast and slow, Going completely insane, and then slowing it down for a breather. He played an even amount from his entire discography, he skipped around, and even played some from Ghosts! which i was NOT expecting!!!

He played for 2 damn hours!!!!! 2 Hours!! Dreams come true, much???

by the end of the first part, we were all about to die, my husband had moshed the whole time, and i held hands with and moshed with her, and Jess and Mona ran off to the front row, which I couldnt handle because of my asthma! but i was still within about 8 rows by the end of the first part of the set.. the NIN Emblem came down to signify the end and I desperately ran out for a drink, and then we heard the music start up again!!! we went back out for atleast 7 more songs, including hurt, which literally brought my husband to tears.. it was so emotional..


Im so sore right now, im still in shock that it even happened..

So I've been pretty busy so far this spring/summer.. planted a garden.. not doing so well because of lack of rain, but im smitten!! XD Ive also been doing lots of henna which I plan to start doing at local festivals, Youd be surprised at the demand for it!!


aaannnnnddd....
....I just recieved a tattoo gun, 28 colors, practice skins, and my "how to" book kit is on its way!!!!!!

I figured.. I could teach myself makeup, Photomanips, Vector, Freehand Henna (which i need to get a camera and start documenting!!) .. then I can teach myself how to tattoo!! You guys will get to see my progress!

As for everything else, its camping, a bit of work, and lots of good times for me this summer..

..So.. I quit my job.. you know.. the one with all the money, the benefits??

well I found out that having a life, and time to enjoy my husband, and the sun were a lot more important than having money to blow in the city..

I also realized that I'm not as much of a city chick that I thought I was.. it's nice to visit.. but the idea of living there.. not as flattering as it looked in this new light..

Truth is, I like it where I am right now. I love my friends, my home, my location on this earth is not bad at the moment!!

And my creativity has blossomed!! Ive been drawing, writing, reading, doing henna, lots of photoshop (got quite a few unfinished pieces that are near done) and when my stimulus check comes in, I'm getting a tattoo gun, and Im gonna try my hand in inking

In the end, happiness isnt paper with dead presidents on it..

its enjoying little bits of life.. like watching the sunrise.. going camping.. feeding an animal.. going to a new place.. kissing your lover.. listening to that perfect song at that perfect moment..



I'm not meant for an office building.. or a 9 to 5..


I cant be couped up ..

and I know that the Past.. is merely the prologue to the rest of my life...

As an artist, you have to read this article or you could lose everything you've ever created!

An Orphaned Work is any creative work of art where the artist or copyright owner has released their copyright, whether on purpose, by passage of time, or by lack of proper registration. In the same way that an orphaned child loses the protection of his or her parents, your creative work can become an orphan for others to use without your permission.

If you don't like to read long articles, you will miss incredibly important information that will affect the rest of your career as an artist. You should at least skip to the end to find the link for a fantastic interview with the Illustrators' Partnership about how you are about to lose ownership of your own artwork.

Currently, you don't have to register your artwork to own the copyright. You own a copyright as soon as you create something. International law also supports this. Right now, registration allows you to sue for damages, in addition to fair value.

What makes me so MAD about this new legislation is that it legalizes THEFT! The only people who benefit from this are those who want to make use of our creative works without paying for them and large companies who will run the new private copyright registries.

These registries are companies that you would be forced to pay in order to register every single image, photo, sketch or creative work.

It is currently against international law to coerce people to register their work for copyright because there are so many inherent problems with it. But because big business can push through laws in the United States, our country is about to break with the rest of the world, again, and take your rights away.

With the tens of millions of photos and pieces of artwork created each year, the bounty for forcing everyone to pay a registration fee would be enormous. We lose our rights and our creations, and someone else makes money at our expense.

This includes every sketch, painting, photo, sculpture, drawing, video, song and every other type of creative endeavor. All of it is at risk!

If the Orphan Works legislation passes, you and I and all creatives will lose virtually all the rights to not only our future work but to everything we've created over the past 34 years, unless we register it with the new, untested and privately run (by the friends and cronies of the U.S. government) registries. Even then, there is no guarantee that someone wishing to steal your personal creations won't successfully call your work an orphan work, and then legally use it for free.

In short, if Congress passes this law, YOU WILL LOSE THE RIGHT TO MAKE MONEY FROM YOUR OWN CREATIONS!

Why is this allowed to happen? APATHY and MONEY.

Artists have apathy and corporations have money.

We need to be heard in order to protect our incomes, our creations and our careers. GET OFF YOUR ASS!

That means writing letters to our congressmen and representatives. That means voicing your opinion about how we need copyright protection, as we've had since 1976, that protects everything we create from the moment we create it. This is the case around the world.

However, an Orphan Works bill is also in the works in Europe. I was speaking recently with Roger Dean, the famed artist of the Yes album covers, and he is greatly concerned with what will happen if Orphan Works bills become law.

"This will devastate the livelihood of artists, photographers and designers in a number of ways," Dean says. "That at the behest of a few hugely rich corporations who got rich by selling art that they played no part in the making of, the U.S. and U.K. governments are changing the copyright laws to protect the infringer instead of the creator. This is unjust, culturally destructive and commercial lunacy. This will not just hurt millions of artists around the world.

"On the other side of the coin, what argument will a U.S. court have with a Chinese company that insists it did its research in China and found nothing? If the cost of this is onerous for a U.S.-based artist, what will it be like for artists and small businesses in emergent economies?"

If an artist whose work is as famous as Roger Dean's is concerned with this legislation, it should be of great concern for all of us.

The people, associations and companies behind the Orphan Works bill state that orphaned works have no value. If that were true, no one would want them. However, these same companies DO WANT your work, they just don't want to pay for it. If someone wants something, IT HAS VALUE. It's pretty simple.

Im getting a new Job in Louisville as a Technical Support for Charter Communications Ive got a few friends who already work there, I've heard great things, and I just had my interview today, I start in January if all goes well

sooo.. where to begin?? Ive quickly learned that these photoshoots for the comic book are going to be 24 hour days.. literally.. lol It's been craziness but completely worth it.. the Photographer I met Alan Hadley is incredible, professional and has offered me other jobs as well!! (lots of money as well.. the beginning of a full-on career??)

Wedding announcements are done, but havent been printed yet, if You would like one and you live out of town, email your address, and if you live in town, ill probably be stopping by at some point to give you one

soo.. the first part of the summer was intense.. (May, June and first week of July) INTENSE.. mainly psychologically, but busy physically as well.. Lots of friends, lots of random things going on, and soooo many long, deep, irrational, mind-blowing conversations, with beautiful friends. Cole and I had kind of lost touch. So we took away the stress of the big wedding in early June and thought that would help us get back into the groove of the relationship. We did for about a week, mainly because of the weight that was lifted from our shoulders.. but soon we realized that all of our energy was going into our artforms and friends more than each other and our relationship.. not good right before a wedding..

So eventually we reached a breaking point about a week or so into July.. we were arguing over whether or not friends should come over because of cancellations in plans and avoiding people we had told we wanted to spend time with.. While I am a talkative, outgoing and personable individual (if you cant tell from my friends list) I enjoy my alone time more than anything else, and for the previous few months I hadnt had but a LITTLE time to myself.. Cole on the other hand, having been a loner much of his life, over the past few years has become more of a people person. (the yin-yang as always) So while I would like to spend time alone quietly with him, he prefers the constant exchange of energy that having a houseful of people over brings. And if youve ever been here on one of those nights, you know it can be chaotic, but wonderful!!

Well.. once we spatted over the idea of having friends over we started to realize (in the middle of the spat) that we hadnt spent much time together at ALL in the previous few months.. and that our relationship was suffering because of it.. so for the past 3 weeks we (by chance and not our own making!!!) have had tons of alone and together time!! God.. its been so wonderful.. We are talking endlessly, can barely stand to leave each other for our short shifts of work, and havent fought (not that we did frequently before, but more so in the past few months than we had in a LOOONG time..) about even the smallest of things! and .. sex has been INCREDIBLE!! Primal, active, experimental, and just downright WONDERFUL!!! We can't stop telling each other how much we love each other, and the constant flow of appreciation is something I dont think I could live without now!

And yesterday really brought the culmination of it all together.. as we tripped in Never-Never Land we were on the bed just holding each other, rolling around, and feeling each others energy, crying and laughing and making random noises, fully revealing ourselves to each other.. it was an incredible reconnection ceremony.. and afterwards we started to slowly speak our minds, flipping through our internal dictionaries trying to describe this feeling we felt.. and as we talked, we would spout two or three syllables, and instantly wed be crying or laughing or agreeing with each other, as if we had experienced the exact same thing.. and there was this feeling of truly being understood.. Not that the words were understood, but the FEELING behind it all... this .. understanding.. I still can't describe it.. and after we ate an amazing meal of turkey sandwiches and tomato basil soup.. (something we both never thought could taste so good!!) we laid down for sleep.. and slowly fell into some of the most blissful love-making I've ever experienced.. and a blissful nights sleep was followed by this afterglow this morning.. eating fruit smoothies and just smiling at each other..

I cant wait to spend the rest of my life with this man...

....


ahhh.. alas.. in other news of this reality and experience... this next weekend is going to be one in the start of many many busy weekends to come.. I have photoshoots almost every weekend for the next two months.. the first one is this weekend and it is in Cincinatti.. I will be leaving Friday evening, and doing makeup/shooting all day saturday, and then coming to Louisville Sunday afternoon (a total of about 6 hours in the car so far..) and from Louisville, I'm riding with a friend to Bardstown, to meet up with Cole and a few others, and as soon as we can say hi and bye we are leaving to Nashville to see the BIRTHDAY MASSACRE!!!!!!! and then driving all the way back Sunday night (roughly monday morning around 1:00am) and I'll be back at work Monday morning....

good god its gonna be hectic, but all in all WORTH IT!!

The Rest of my schedule for the next few months is looking like this:

August 11: First Comic Book shoot in Cincinatti
August 12: The Birthday Massacre in Nashville!!!!!!!!
August 15: Try to finalize Wedding Announcements

Experimental/themed makeup is what she will need for characters that will be shot as a real-person comic book!!!!! shes even mentioned giving me an assistant, and if the comic book takes off I could make some money off of this!!!
