Ten years ago, we at Cheyenne Ranch had the good fortune to acquire a young zorse stallion. A maximum expression grullo tobiano. Expecting him to be just like other zorses and mules, sterile, we placed him in a field with our more aggressive natural mares to teach the rather fiery colt some manners.

Imagine the surprise we had when almost every mare became pregnant. Birthing time came, and not only was every single foal a zorse, but they were all fertile, just like their father. Realizing we may have had a new breed on our hands, we scoured the world as best as we could to find another like him.
