Ok, so the past 9 weeks have been pretty awesome!! Ive learned a lot, including how to operate Backhoes, Dozers, Skidsteers(ie Bobcats) Front End Loaders, Scrapers (though i hated that beast) Excavators, Compactors, and Motor Graters. On top of that, Ive learned (not that I didnt know already) how to read advanced blueprints, Shooting Grade(surveying), and into soil knowledge. So now Im going to have to find a job. Not a joyous thought, but its something I need to get to. ON a lighter note, I recieved for my birthday from my wife Three new Engines. One is a Blueline Southern GP9, with sound! That is awesome. Also got a KATO SD45 Santa Fe Engine(she didnt know that I deal with the East, but its still an awesome engine none the least) And an older Athearn SW900(I think thats what it is) Maybe I can put a picture up and someone can tell me what it is exactly (she got it at a Train show, so it was not in its original packaging) I took of the handrails and Lackawanna decals off so its all black currently. Ok, So I will let you all go, and Hope to hear from you all. I will if you havent seen already post some pics from school up!

While I was working for I was barely getting hours as is, So I was going through my email two weeks ago, and found an email from a Heavy Equipment school that I had asked for info last year, and though the good fortune of God almighty, I am starting on July 7, and will graduate in September. Because I have to go to West Florida, and will be away from the Internet for 9 weeks. I think Im gonna have some massive Internet withdrawals. So I wont be on for a bit. Once I graduate, I expect to find a job real easily, but I will probably will have to move from this part of Fl. Im hoping to stay in the Orlando area, and if all else fails, I might move to Houston. It is all up in the air right now. I plan to be back in order by October.
Ok, guess it is time to update this journal. Lots been happening since February. I am only three and a half weeks away from being a married man. May 17. Everything is getting hectic and am a bit overwhelmed. In the early planning stages for my current TRT project, which u can see that I just uploaded. Its small and compact, but will be a nice working layout for plenty of fun for little space and equipment. Exited that FEC corridor just might be getting Amtrak service within the Year. Since Amtrak is not losing money anymore but growing, Amtrak is looking for new routes. Three years ago, Amtrak almost built a route up this coast, but massive debts and Pres Bush killed those hopes. Now that is all changed, and they hope to be laying down station tracks and so forth by the end of this year (If it all works out) Thats about it then.

Riding on the City of New Orleans,
Illinois Central Monday morning rail
Fifteen cars and fifteen restless riders,
Three conductors and twenty-five sacks of mail.
All along the southbound odyssey
The train pulls out at Kankakee
Rolls along past houses, farms and fields.
Passin' trains that have no names,
Freight yards full of old black men
And the graveyards of the rusted automobiles.

CHORUS:
Good morning America how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son,
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans,
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done.

Dealin' card games with the old men in the club car.
Penny a point ain't no one keepin' score.
Pass the paper bag that holds the bottle
Feel the wheels rumblin' 'neath the floor.
And the sons of pullman porters
And the sons of engineers
Ride their father's magic carpets made of steel.
Mothers with their babes asleep,
Are rockin' to the gentle beat
And the rhythm of the rails is all they feel.

CHORUS

Nighttime on The City of New Orleans,
Changing cars in Memphis, Tennessee.
Half way home, we'll be there by morning
Through the Mississippi darkness
Rolling down to the sea.
And all the towns and people seem
To fade into a bad dream
And the steel rails still ain't heard the news.
The conductor sings his song again,
The passengers will please refrain
This train's got the disappearing railroad blues.

Good night, America, how are you?
Don't you know me I'm your native son,
I'm the train they call The City of New Orleans,
I'll be gone five hundred miles when the day is done.
