Holy cow ;A;
I do not know why, but I do. I have this thing with figuring out who of my characters are singing the songs I listen to - which tend to become hilarious at times, especially if the lyrics are way too out-of-character to fit xD If you have OC's but haven't tried this - DO IT! Holy cow you'll be amazed! You can even play it as a game if you have a lot of characters (like me) - believe me, it's HILARIOUS XDD

But that's not what I mean by writing this crap - what I mean is that this spotify song makes me cry - because Lyle Lovett's voice makes me think about him as Raymond ;A; AAAAH

I listened to it for the first time since forever and almost started crying! Ray's so friggin' cute like that, I wish he had the heart to be like that too ;___; It's so saaaaad how he doesn't want to and goes around being so.. idk "go away >:1"

YES! I've been up all night working on comics to save our school (to prove that shutting us down is a cruel mistake).

The plan was to do 10 comic strips, but because I lost some time of work (doing that troll picture) I only mannaged to do 8. Not really done with them yet, but it's just the colors and eventually shading too left to do.

But ahaha
I haven't been up this long since..
since....
Since last time I refused to sleep till the very next evening.

I guess the main reason for me being so tired, is that I've been working with the comics in over 12 hours nonstop |D I'm sure I'd get to finish faster if my CLASSMATES would stop BOTHERING me whenever I got really into it.

Do you guys experience that too? I mean, being interrupted in the middle of everything? It's so freaking annoying, and yet you can't blame them because they didn't know D: Ohhh that's one of the experiences that makes me want to hurt thingssssss xDD I WANT to blame people! Blaming is fun, no?

Last weekend I was in Kristiansand at my cousin ~Sences's place 8D
On Sunday we went to "Dyreparken" <3 I loved it so much!
They sold a huge bunch of different plushies that I loved to pieces, so I bought like four plushies. (And a huge lolly)

I wanted to buy a huge plushie, but it was like 600 NOK, so I took the ones to 99 NOK each.

SOMEHOW THE SHOP LADY MANAGED TO NOT BLEEP IN THE LAST ONE, SO I SAVED LIKE 100 CROWNS THAT DAY

Lol I pwnd the zoo in secret...

Anyhow! Since I've quite recently moved to this new place, I'm not very known around the place. But me and Dad are going to Finnsnes on sunday to celebrate my birthday on Monday <3 We'll be going to a chinese reastaurant (which explains why we can't go on Monday), and I want to practice using chop sticks (I've held them wrong all these years - which is pretty much why I fail xD)

The last few days Dad has been packing his stuff and the whole house is a total mess, perfectly completed with an unsolved Rubik's cube lying on the floor. However, we're gonna return the tablets I've been using during my life here on dA.

"Why?"

Haha. Well, Dad is a teacher, and works with Media & communication. I've only borrowed the two tablets I've been using. And I've prolly killed a few tablet pens xD

Anyhow, that means I won't be able to draw anything digitally the next week, month or so. At least not till I buy my very own tablet.

I haven't really told you guys, but I've won 10 000 Kr to spend on whatever artistic purpose - a camera, a laptop, tablet, etc. In norwegian, we call it the Dream Stipend. It is a stipend given to 100 artists/band groups every year - Which I won this year (lol the pros of growing up in a small place where people notice you). It gives me many possibilities, and I wonder what I should spend the money on. Possibly it'll be a tablet, preferably a cheap one.

HOWEVER
First I'll be heading home to pack down all my stuff there, then on monday, tuesday or whatever I'll be heading for bardufoss. Then school will start on wednesday, and -hopefully- I'll get a school lap! Then it's only a question of time till Dad gets his interwebz up and runnin' again. Hopefully he'll change it and make it a WEP network (or whatever) that is compitable with my DS. Then I can explore the world of bomberman land wi-fi 8)

But before I leave HonningsvÃ¥g "forever", I'm gonna try arranging a small party with my friends <3 I'm not sure wether I'll be having it at home or at my friend's place. But I wonder what we'll be doing? Also, I don't know who of them I'll invite. I don't know, maybe it'll just be me, ~hugwolf and ~Kespus, maybe not. We've planned some wii play and DS stuff, snacks and candies etc :'D But it's important for me that everybody there wants to this and that; on our parties it tends to be poorly planned and some wants to do this while others doesn't. Maybe we'll be four playing MarioKart together. I have four wiimotes in case.

But the problem is...
WHEN!? People, we have little time! (I'm looking at YOU, Kess)
I guess it'll have to be either tomorrow or Saturday or Sunday

Maybe the day before I leave would be suitable. MOM WHEN DO WE LEAVE

Also, about the character challenge
When I've finished it (Tho I never will, really) I plan on taking on a few requests. It's been a long time since that, and I could use some more things to draw. I'll write more details about it when I've finished ^-^

By the way, it feels good to be making comics. I've long wanted to do it, but I've been way too lazy to get my ass moving and lots of stuff. I haven't felt comfortable with not knowing how to put layers and crap, but finally I've figured it out. SOMEHOW
=griffsnuff also asked me to make a tutorial about how I make them comics. I believe I will when I've gotten to settle down and I've got a tablet. What do you guys think about it?

It feels kind of strange moving to a new place - though I feel exited about it. I believe I'm in the right age of experiencing a change of habitats, and it'll be interesting to meet new people. At high school, nobody really knows each other in the start, so I hope the best, shy as I am. (pff shy right)

OH WELL I'LL JUST START IT WITH SOME DRAWING BAHA

Shit I just came to think of all the paint I'll have to pack.. Did you know LL's color is nearly IMPOSSIBLE for me to mix up? So haha, I cheated by buying her color. It's much easier that way <3 Yay for plastic tubes. I will finish my last contest entry as well when I come home. It needs a few touch ups here and there still.

Yeah, er, I've borrowed my bro's comp, so I have like three mins to explain myself and disappear, so please don't mind any typos you'll be finding.

So, yeah, I admit, I'm a dA addict - I needed to check the 1st of august, but didn't get the possibility.

Anyway, the trip with hurtigruten was really relaxing. I met ~FadyFTJ and we played bomberman land on the ds. We were originally supposed to play his bomberman game, but he forgot it. AND I WAS SUPPOSED TO BUY IT. Grr fady, you deserve a kick >u>

AND
As the hurtigruten trip continued I got to meed ~Bluetwoen and her friends in TROMSÃ 8DD
That was awesome, we went to a cafÃ© named verdensteateret and drank some coffee, tea and cocoa(wtf)KAKAO. Later on I and ~Bluetwoen went to draw while the boat was.. in town.

Since hurtigruten in general really is a horribly boring boat to travel with, I got to settle down and relax for a bit and draw and blahblah

But got to go, will be away for a while, gonna finish my final entry for =griffsnuff's contest. Not sure when I'll get back on tho...

Oh yeah..
So finally, we're heading home from our vacation. WHOAH time goes fast, I say.

Anyhow, tomorrow we'll be up early early to take the plane to bodÃ¸ - There I'll finally meet ~FadyFTJ! <3 Seriously, this vacation has, in general, been like the most boring one ever. I loved the short time I got to spend with my dearest cousins, and I loved being at the Midnight Rock, experiencing Kaizers Orchestra and Deep purple live (kaizers were the best!)

Sadly, I didn't get to meet anybody else... though I really, really wanted to. Soooo.. I've really juz spent my time here in bergen spamming down wherever I went... with POST-IT NOTES

Nothing much to say, really.. Well, I met ~Pusi yesterday!

It was awesome, though it was just 15 minutes or so, but I got to deliver my part of our trade personally <3 We agreed that I should meet up on a gathering or anything sometime so I can meet more of my friends on the net.

Schoolwise
For those who don't know it, instead of going to school in Lakselv this fall, me and dad are going to move south, to MÃ¥lselv, which is only one and half an hour away from TromsÃ¸! ^__^ I'm so happy! Going on Media and Communication in Troms sure seems a lot more interesting and awesome than media in Lakselv; mostly because the people on Media in Lakselv are lazy butts who have no interest in learning anything. - So this is an awesome happening! <3 It may even be easier to travel to the southern parts of Norway! Not only that, I think I'm in the perfect age to experience a moving to a different place

I hope I'll get some new friends over there.. Or else I'll become a lonely loner lost in my complete loneliness xD lol jk - I still have you guys <3 I love you!

While I was in London, I bought Sims3 and Zelda for the wii xD Sims3 is awesome, but it's a pity there's no pets or anything. ..Yet. I hope that kinds of sims updates are... like.. free :c Sims updates via internet you know..

I've found that I am very comfortable with traditional drawing.. Pencils <3 I still have to finish my first acryl painting that I left in Lakselv >u> It's gonna be awesome.
I don't really know, but suddenly I'm not very comfortable with photoshop anymore O: It's so weird.. I get stuck at everything,like effects, colours, layers and everything. I have only sketched a few things, and I'm working with a bigger piece as well, as some digital painting/shading practice. It goes.. quite well, I only paint on a few layers to avoid stressing too much about it. Still, I'm a retard at colors.. I insist on using the correct colour for the charactes, without the effect from any light... That kinda sucks, since I'm locked on this and that and can't let myself go free when drawing.

Hey, I've got this weird problem with my Wacom Intous2 tablet;
As I click and hold with my pen, windows automatically creates a small magnetic area that gives the cursor a twitch-like movement in the start of every drawing stroke. Around the cursor, this symbol appears. Shortly the click ("left-click") is transformed into a right click, doing nothing of what I want it to do.

I've been looking around and fiddling with the options of both mouse and tablet, but I can't seem to find the option to turn it off.
This only happens when I'm using my tablet, and started to happen quite recently. May it have something with plug-ins to do?

Well, the first thing I noticed when our plane started to approach, was...
England is a pretty flat country xD

We've been roaming oxford street from the PLAZA to oxford circus underground station; It's no heavy distance, but we've ben on some hardcore shopping!

On this trip I've bought two hats, SEVERAL colors of nail polish, a pair of shoes(converse!), a small flag, a tunika, different accessories and so on.

It was a fantastic trip! The parents who accompanied us was so kind and let us walk around on ourselves; not completely alone, but at least two together. ^_^

I was on topshop, accessorize, several souvernir stores, H&M and a lot more of different stores.

I've taken 1111 pictures during our trip, so I think I'll make a photo journal of em to tell you more later. 8D

WEDNESDAY
I brought my wii back to my dad's place (which means I have wi-fi connection again

) - That thing (along with the wii balance board for wii fit) made my bag so friggin' HEAVY! xD But it was awesome to get it back to where it belongs. I immediately got it up and runnin' and spent some time on playing Okami 8) Then we had.. what was it? Bortsj? (red beet(idk) soup) For dinner xD It tasted kinda weird, but it was nice.

Thst night I dreamt that I ran around in an unknown town, and I was looking for someone... Then I met Neffus, =griffsnuff's character.

He was all grumpy and mean... and I looked on a milk carton, and saw an ad with a picture of Neffus about Snuffen's CONTEST. I was like "wow.. I'm so gonna be pwnd If this contest runs through whole Norway.."
Then I suddenly had a subby here on dA for no reason xD BUT I was sooo happy! 8D

Then, when I woke up I was all "wtf..."

THURSDAY
Actually, I tried to work on my contest entry... Which didn't go very well, it was kinda uncomfortable to work on it because I was quite clueless about the fur and all... so I worked a lot on and off, taking breaks by playing Okami. ...I don't remember what we had for dinner xD However, we went on a GeoCaching TREASURE HUNT! 8D (We looked for a box - which was more than very small) It was fun xD We didn't find it at first, but dad found it in a last attempt at finding it. But it was hard to reach :1 he had to lift me up so I could climb and get it xD That was really fun C:

...can't recall properly my dreams for that night, though... I remeber it had something with Okami to do. I kept seeing those ink pots. xD When I woke up I was like... "Oookay, I've played too much."

FRIDAY
I was really, really hungry when I went upstairs :1 I took me some hardcore bread with Nugatti <3 ...Aaaand I went on to work on my piece.

Then my awesome brother came!

Well, he's all awesome, 'xcept one thing: He's smoking >_> Worst of all, it's because he wants to.
...
ANYWAY
I worked pretty much on and off that day too, beat the final boss(yami) - which was child's play compared to the devil gate(where you get the stray bead) in Kamui.

...then I started playing mariokart xD

We had fish for dinner c: 'twas delicious <3

I believe I dreamt something about Snuff and Neff and Okami that noght xD Argh, I should take the time to write down those silly dreams!

SATURDAY
Up and eat, back to work. :3 I was finally done with the fur, and spent the day on finishing the wings. x) Of course with a lot of pauses with mario kart. I did all the 50cc karts only cups and recieved this silly picture of my Raymond Mii (whom I use for my MK license). I sent the pic with a wii message to ~Kespus - she didn't reply though. OTL OHH I'M SO LONELYY (no one seem to contact me >_>

Well... FOR DINNER
..we ate sushi! 8DD It was the first time in my life I got to eat sushi and... I'd gladly eat it without the seaweed.. xD Plus, it was HOT HOT HOT (I died) - but pretty nice.

I tried to make a little onigiri(rice ball) - which went quite well... (I skipped the seaweed

) Though I believe I failed, since I have no idea what it's supposed to taste like, and because I filled it with sweet omelette. ...It was kinda sour-sweet... I dunno, but it was kinda icky 8>

I went to bed at 01.15 am.. and had this weeiird dream.
It was in the area of my school (around here)

Seems like I'll have to wait for fall to come before I'll get to make that animation. ;_; Yes, it's gone. I have no idea how, but the files was laying on the desktop when I turned off the pc(it was hung-up), and totally goners when I turned it back on. Curses. So yeah, the whole animation simply died.

BUT

I WILL - when I get a mac on the school I'll start on - make the animation. WITH Snuff 'n Neff in it! I will! I must! I feckin' PROMISE!

The main idea for the whole thing was of course to participate in =griffsnuff's awesome contest - drawing Snuffen and Neffus with their rivalry as a theme.

As it doesn't matter anymore with the animation - for now - I can as well explain how it turned out..

Ever heard the song "Anything you can do"? My idea was to make Snuffen and Neffus singing against each other - I associated the contest's theme with the song in an instant. Then my problem was, I didn't have Flash (don't have it anymore, either). I ripped off an odd non-installation verson at rapidshare.com - which I knew wouldn't neccesarily work - but I did it because I had gotten Photoshop in the same way. That went all right... _{for a while..}

Then you probably heard me after a while, whining about losing three hours of work. Once... then maybe the second time it happened. The second time I was all up with doodles and rough sketch-animating (moving circles on legs) and worked with lip sync. Nearly done, my disk disconnected and reconnected, which made flash unable to save anything. (My inner genius told me to try to save it and overwrite the existing file - I promise I'll never listen to it again) - "Great.. I lost the fla. file. Now I have to import the swf to flash if I'm ever gonna finish this... - let's see, I'll place flash on the desktop to prevent it from reacting to my disk's disconnecting.. oh, and the animation too."

...

Yeah, I know, aren't I a smartass? No?

So, well, everything runs slow, things keep hanging up, even making folders show up takes foreverrrr... So I decided to turn it all off and restart as I always do.

Bummerrrr~ I'll never work with important projects on a pc like this again. Prrromiseeee~

Oh, and, I'm also running firefox from my usb-connected disk. And... along with the animation and all my shortcuts and bookmarks disappeared. NOES D: *sigh* I guess I'll have to make 'em up from scratch again...

I better stick to photoshop and kaki a while longer just to... -just to get peace in mind. The whole happening has been nothing but frustrating and depressing, really... :c

But one odd thing - I don't get strong emotions about it. I wonder why, because I truly want to crush this machine whenever it disobeys.
Well, that said, I hardly get any strong emotions 'bout anything...

It's like this:
In the morning, or whenever it doesn't fit me that mum asks me something, I'm always grumpy - I don't say anything, though.
When I'm with friends, I'm happy and being in kind of our own world.

Andd... that's it. It's like I can be happy, but I can't feel the happiness. I only feel sad when I feel strong injustice against me (like, being kept away from friends and such) It's somehow like I'm more mind than emotions. AIN'T THERE A POSSIBLE INBETWEEN? Maybe I think too much >_> I'm looking at things too much from the outside.

Huhu.. My intention of making the animation was of course to make my entry pwn all other entries (I'm so mean) - Looks like I've got to go the other way around. But how fun wouldn't it be to make Snuff 'n Neff fight through this version of the song? Ahh, by only listening to the song I can recall how the animation looked... :< Seriously, I miss it. Memories~ not that old at all~

Geez, makes me seem like grave seriousity itself! No, I'll try to keep being happy!
Who knows, by killing some time in PS, maybe I'll feel better? Okami certainly doesn't help much... I've played it the last few days. But it only helps to space out a little from my "problems", that's all.

So, well, I guess I'll be off trying to make a kickass picture (hah, good luck with that). See you guys! It feels really good getting this all off my chest!

But let's say the character is gonna walk into the stage, stop, wave, and then keep walking.

Okay, the walking goes fine, I guess, but when the character stops, what way would be the best for making his arm move WITHOUT havin' to draw the entire body again and again in the exact same position? Usually, drawing it all again and again looks pretty odd and disturbing. So, as the explaination goes by, what's the trick? Separate layers? Objects? Movie clips? GUAAHH it bothers me to PIECES D|

I came just now with the bus. But I was close to have to walk home from the bus station today - because, quite obviously, I love to draw pretty much everywhere. The bus included. So, okay, I'm on the bus, we're driving. (The bus to Lakselv takes around one hour) I sit by the window, having a guy sitting beside me. Eating cookies and having a nice time, I pick up my pencil and paper, and start doodling. Everything turned out like crap - I was on the bus, dammit! Anyhow, after a while (two sheets later) I look out the window while wonderin' what to draw. Then inspiration hits me, and I start drawing a face - a girl - which gradually transforms int Grexin. Bus goes dumpbuMPEDIDUMPINgbump and slows me down a whole lot. However, working with my little portrait (or whatever) I'm completely lost in mind.

Then the bus stops for the first time in a while - I look up...

Wait... this place looks familiar...

Okay, I didn't freak out, but that was CLOSE

And.. That's pretty much the most exiting thing that ever happened to me today

And guess what - my wii board told me it was FRIDAY

I've been it's company nonstop in two straight weeks. It told me it was.. touched.

More trampled on I'd say.

The weather is okay in HonningsvÃ¥g, but the roads are full of splashy snow - which makes 'em all useless for jogging and biking. SO, I brought my Wii here (I've had it in Lakselv for some time) - because mom wants to try. Mom is 51. Mom. Wants. to. try. wii. fit.

ISN'T IT FANTASTIC?

I was like "..uh... oookaaayy....." when she rang and asked me if I could bring it home to let her try xD

Just felt like sharin'.

Naah, I needed a break. It gets pretty tiring after a while.. |D Anyhow, I've discovered that pencils are incredibly fun - and time consuming. I'm pretty sure that I've used at least two hours on colouring the skin. The skin(on an A5 piece of paper). Ain't that fantastic?

After a while with toggling between yellows and oranges and beige, I got quite surprised by the outcome

I believe it's my best result on facial shading till now.

ANYHOW
When I look at how other people make their pencil drawings (I don't watch many people who use pencils), there's a small thing I think I'd just mention.

When colouring with pencils, it's always a good thing to vary between different colours and tones (like you didn't know this). I've seen some people who use only one colour for f.ex. the skin. I'm not saying this is bad - for flat colouring. But when people shade their pictures by just pressing the colour harder into the paper... I think it looks..

kinda.. lame.

If I had a scanner, I'd show you my drawing as soon as I've finished it.

But - too bad
