Only a little late... though, Christmas stuff has already replaced the Halloween stuff in all the local stores. We may not have final results until this evening, but, we did resolve some of the issues we were having in picking.

The result is that we will adding several "Judge's Choice" awards, which means there will be a few more awards given out then just 1st, 2nd, and 3rd. We have not determined what the final prizes will be for the Judge's Choice awards, but we are working on it.

A materials issue sidelined them for over a year. The pins are made out of gold plated brass, and the materials to make them of equal quality went up in cost to the point where they were no longer feasible to produce. We had to hunt for almost a year to finally find a source that could produce an equal quality pin, at least somewhat close to the original production cost, but finally we did, so here they are!

I am not sure what makes me feel worse: that the torrent of horrid straight to video sequels demolished a 60 year old franchise from the golden age of animation to the point where a reboot is needed, or, that they have decided to do that reboot as a live action.

I hate to say it, but I feel like we have almost identical sales with a $150 Artist Alley space or a $1,500 Exhibitors booth at Anime cons, so might as well save an extra grand!

It is a different story at Comic Con, or Wonder Con--but for some reason, Anime con culture is just such where people are willing to spend money in an AA, while western style cons, they only wanna spend money in a dealers hall. Interesting psychology.
