Some sad/happy news. The bad news is I will soon be stripping my gallery of most of my original works. The reason being is myself and my comrade are currently putting together a serious run at an animated comedy, and I plan on keeping those offline and personally copyrighted.

The good news is that we've put together a script, and I will be attempting some animation as a "pilot". I've been rather hard at work studying and practicing, and we'll see what it amounts to. Strange it's been nearly 3 and a half years since I've joined this site, and it's certainly been fun. I'm not leaving, as I still wish to see what's the haps in the virtual modern art world. I might even post a couple of things here and there too, but I will be significantly quiet, but I've been for a few months anyways...that was practice

I will be doing the most old fashioned but (in my opinion) the most efficient animation...hand. I will be using technology, but only to play the individually drawn frames.

Now, I am as amateur as anyone, but I've learned that we've given the word amateur a bad connotation. I'm not so bold to define art, but from what I've learned, the beautiful and complex thing about it is it can be anything. So don't be afraid to push boundaries and cross lines, or even redefine lines and boundaries.

Currently I am inking a much belated art trade, that shall be the next thing uploaded.
I might also upload a page or so from the finished unfinished comic book i did for class. It was a stressful but learning experience.

I've been tackling classwork, and I had a matriculation review from the department head and my adviser. I passed, so I will be able to get my degree whenever I'm done XD

In exciting news, I've been taking a comics/graphic novel class, and it's been pretty cool. I thought we would just be doing writing, but our project for the next two weeks is to make a 5 or so page comic book. (It doesn't have to be spectacular, most of the students are natural writers, including myself). Hence, I shall be writing Boots comic strips! It will be his first collection! It takes sheer force, like class, to motivate me XD Hopefully I will be able to finish it. I will be using the night of the living dead piece as my cover!

Again, I've been trying to keep up with things here, but yeah I've been all but dead.

Well, for the past week, I've been on Spring Break from school. I traveled 6 and a half hours on Friday, and will do the deed again in less than 12 hours.

Life is filled with tiny ironies. Spring Break was hardly in Spring, in fact it really hasn't been spring in the Northern Hemisphere since a day or so ago. While there was a change of pace, and well a change of everything, I feel break is also up for interpretation.

I was committed to getting certain things done, but perhaps i haven't accommodated for variable change.

The week was most certainly full of fun without regret. We live our lives on borrowed time, so time with those you love are indeed the most invaluable of moments. So, between work, catching up with family and friends, living in a surprisingly different culture, I was unable to give any "art" (I use that term loosely) updates. So, I apologize to those whom I held myself responsible to, and I assure I remain true to my word regardless of time. I must say it feels like an unplanned hiatus, but I can assure you I will be updating at some point.

I'm at a loss for really what else to say. I feel like I have something important to say, some vital advice, but it's just not coming out. It's too hard to be genuine online anyways.

Now, if you're doing comics I recommend the graphic novel, which I'm still engrossed in. The movie is as fairly faithful as it could be without showing each panel on the screen.

I can assure you I should be posting something new this weekend, featuring Boots and a few other dudes. Perhaps a running idea for Art Trades too?

Yeah school has been school, I've been primarily writing essays, more specifically creative non-fiction. A pretty cool genre that I'm digging. Ironically, being a scribe, and a writing major you'd think I'd have some writing pieces here

I might be updating some friendly how tos with digital stuff like Photoshop and Illustrator, using Bridge and handling the Bezier Curve. Remember, Vectors are delicious as Cougars are dangerous! If there's anything you're curious to find out, make a suggestion.

First off, I'm preparing as I type the next Boots Comic. It will be another non-sequitur strip, not really tying into any kind of general series of events, aka plot. However, I plan on fitting him in his own universe soon, tentatively dubbed "Branches of Personality". It stars him and some other little furry friends living in a tree, unknowingly and satirically mocking the human world that surrounds them.

I'll be working developing and sharing new character designs for the above mentioned project and others. I do like creative input, so share your opinions. I've been studying stories and characters for a long time, so I'm excited to breathe out some original material.

Most Importantly, Since I am very busy at school, I didn't get to enjoy others' artwork/news as I had liked. As a gentleman, if I'm a watcher of your work I like to honor it as best I can.

Fuck school Ok Kidding

Let's see, I have a test of over 200 pages of Art history material. That' Greece and Rome folks, which had some pretty cool art. In fact Greek sculptors helped develop accurate proportions in human anatomy today. Also, Poetry is not my cup of tea. I swear, Sylvia Plath shall resurrect from an oven when I make a proper Spencerian Sonnet.

I'm also approaching ACT 2 on my screenplay "Modern Day Quixote". I'm enjoying doing something I've wanted to do for the past 4 or 5 years, write a movie. If anyone is interested in Screenwriting, aka what movies are made of, you can download a free program called Celtx. The program will properly place your witty and poignant dialogue in proper Hollywood margins.


Ok down to business, the reason I gave finer details of school is to account for the lack of me spanning recently to possibly early December. Fear not, I should have some works coming up. First: Final Request- I have started your picture, notify me if you want to see the inks when they are finished.

I will also be re-opening SuSu-Studios for business. What is SuSu-Studios? Right now it's merely a cute play on words courtesy of Phil Collins, but It's going to be a label for my major projects and characters, from Boots to stuff you haven't seen or heard about yet. These works will vary in genre and mediums as well. SuSu-Studios will also open it's doors for other artists to collaborate on more daunting projects with me. It's certainly a pipe dream at the moment, but I know now more than ever what direction to take.

Enough of that, have a delicious turkey day. I love me some Pumpkin Pie, I can't wait!!!

Ok, I'm bored and I want to draw stuff, but I want to be a little outgoing to the community that has given me so much.. *Tears* (NOW THAT'S IMPROVISATION)

Ok, let's see, I have some free time between now and when school starts in 2 weeks (w00t).

If you ever wanted to see me draw something, whether a fan art of a famous or your original character, now's the time.

Let's lay down the rules.

-I'm up for just about anything, don't hold back ideas
-You get a digital piece, or no soup for you.
-Do not talk about Fight Club
-Keep in mind the style (if any) in which i draw, and know that I like to add my own twists and whatnot.
-If you request a fan character, a reference is nice.

How to Request.

-Notes only. Just because it makes me feel important when I have notes...and yes im serious XD (Not really, but seriously, I prefer notes, it's more discreet.)

-Request what you would like to see in the note. Be specific, and perhaps a little persuasive.

-I will be accepting a limited number of requests. Not a lot, maybe two or three. There is no catch. I will simply pick the ones that I will do. Once I'm set, I'll announce that the line is closed. If I don't pick yours, it's nothing personal, and it doesn't mean you have a bad request. If I still like your idea, I might still give it a go down the line. Thus, everyone has a good chance!

-I ask for nothing in return.

Apparantly we get to adapt to yet another new design....
Personally Im excited for V7...because V6 sounds like an engine...and V8 is a disgusting vegetable juice for old people who cant gnaw on a carrot..BAMM!

Funnies aside...Yes I've been not here on this front..or really any kind of internet front.
Well, I just got back from a fun jaunt to beautiful Vermont, I even snuck into Canada! (Maybe I have pictures to share?)
Ok, as for the 2 months of lack of art updating...or artdating... I've been living a fast moving summer by catching up with friends in my PA neighborhood...and renting movies to strangers for a job...

I've been doodling here and there, and I will continue to illustrate. For once I will make a garaunteee, that I will have no consistent updating system. I'm motivated and occupied by other things and stuff...possibly getting more career oriented with art and hopefully a possible internship for school...let's hold our breath!

You may have noticed I've been gone for an extended amount of time. Never fear, I was just busying partying hardy...maybe? XD
How is everyone? Oh, sorry to hear about your dog. Anywho, it's been awhile since I have posted, or even really went through messages and deviations. I just make a quick run through, but please, great art doesn't deserve to be passed by, alert me of any new pieces by you which you want me to see.

So, I managed to survive the semester, and what a semester it was. Overall, I think all my classes came out pretty well. I really enjoyed my last weeks at school, and I look forward to next semester. I might have an all Chester feature journal in the future.

First off, sorry for being slowish on comments and things. Today I went through my deviations and commented on some stuff. I enjoyed my spring with my lovely jedi, and we are crossing her fingers she gets into Chester!

Wow, a new journal??

Hello everyone, Im back in the journal world once more. It's been awhile since I left an update on my status. Things have picked up locally. My dad apologized to me...though he hasn't faulted me, and is insisting and offering I go back to Chester. With some time I've come to agree with him as the best decision. My heart wants to go back on track of where it was, and I miss all my friends. I hope I am accepted back, I know I have been hanging so very low and have been unresponsive on here and facebook, but I am beginning to re-emerge!

Art Buisness wise Im taking a few private commissions right now, and I will be accepting PayPall now. Im continuing to try different things with photoshop, and I want to expand onto Illustrator and beg for a miracle to get a tablet. Im going to continue with rawktopus's and mine's comic series!

Finally id like to share an inspiring story. So I was working for the big Halo 3 launch. (it was a double shift, and I was put on register). So in a sea of geeks there was a hero who rose above them all. A young lad adorn a master chief suit that took two weeks for him to hand make. Such a zealous fan of Halo was here at our midnight release to pick a copy of the game. He was actually paid 60 dollars to do a photoshoot for our other store in a different town. So when he came back we learned the kid didnt even have an xbox 360....so a very nice gentleman who was a perfect stranger to him bought him an xbox 360. THIS BECAME A NATIONAL STORY!! [link]

Be inspired, I met the man who bought this kid a 360, and I actually sold the lucky kid his game when it was his turn in line. I will not reveal this mans name but he left a message to pay it forward.

Well, I have been rather quiet this week, and I apologize for that. Im getting to commenting on my Dev Watches deviations. I have had a rather odd week, something absolutely happened to a family member and my family and I are currently crossing fingers. I am fine, I dont need you asking what is up because I swore to keep this personal to this person. I don't need sympathy or empathy, Life brings that which is unexpected. And how we deal with is what unexpected manifests our destiny. Good news, I got a brand new Ninendo Wii for 120 bucks! And "Over the Hedge" is a fantasic film! Hammy is my hero!

He works very hard as a radiologist, so Im trying to be more independent. YAY summer is officially here for me!!! It was a fast semester, and i met tuns of awesome friends at school! Here are some that are on DA

April fools!!! Spring is here, and time for a new journal! School doesn't have much life left, so Im trying to get a summer job. Through an odd set of connections, Im getting advice from a freelance artist for Cartoon Network. I should get some tips, and maybe a can land a little work for the summer!! w00t!

WHOAAAA!! New Journal time!! Ive been tied up with stuff lately, but shaaa! Here's some news and what not with teh Joe

SCHOOL
Almost spring break! YAY! Im going home march 9th-18th! I have some midterms and stuff to work on too!

Lol, Im on a fanartapalooza now for some odd reason. Im trying to try some different styles out, cuz its fun
I have some things to draw 4 peoples at school, but right now requests and all that stuff is off. I'm making a system over the summer if my progress continues to go as planned. More news on that later!

AHHHH!! OMG WHAT A WEEK!
ok i have spring break this week, but a pipe burst at the dorms at school, sadly some students lost stuff, but everyone is safe. Anyway, to fix the problem, they had to shut off the fire alarm which makes it illegal for anyone to occupy the building!!
Since me and some others live a good deal from home, I and some others (many deviant friends) are currently residing a holiday inn! Im there til I fly home to philadelphia on friday ( in 14 hours!)

LOL Something about the holidays cracks me up......

Well, not too much to say for me anymore XD. I got a ds a few weeks ago with mario kart, yay!!! Movin into college in 3 or so weeks i think . I dunno if i'l be able to submit much or anything this winter hehehe, but I'll still be on DA freezing me arse off in New Hampsha!!

In random sports news, the 6ers traded Allen Iverson. I think two first round draft pics and some expiring contracts are a good deal. I've been to the Wachovia Center to see the Flyers and concerts, but never the 6ers but i hope to see them....next year when they wont suck....

My dreamy Eagles are making a comeback lead by backup Qb Jeff Garcia, a nice xmas present will be the eagles in the superbowl again hahaha, i know i can dream on, I'll settle for beating the Cowboys on Christmas day!! Turn on NBC to root for my beloved birds!!

Oh yes, Everyone have the happiest of holidays and a snazzy new year!!! Enjoy time with the ones you love, sit back, and enjoy urself for me ok XD. I hope to hear about ur holidays, and i'll prolly share some of my pictures from me and my zoo i call a family!!

Howdy!! It's getting cold outside here now, burrrrr!!!! I dont have much to say anymore XD.

Me leaving home for NH (8 hours away) in 6 weeks to start school! Im excited cuz I hate my job now, and I cant get started my studies on being a writer!!

Lol, im actually more confident in my writing abilities, so I dont polish it too often. I'll probably take some drawing classes and whatnot, and maybe minor in illustration. I really dont know how I got into this XD, i got into drawing 10-11 months ago. I guess I always loved cartoons and stuff!!

So, my big question is.....HOW DID YOU GET STARTED ON YOU'RE ART?? Do tell me, im curious!!

Thanks for making every day filled with that special stuff called love!!

Me saw the Red Hot Chilli Peppers last at the Wachovia Center in Philadelphia!! They where their for two days, and man were they friggin funky awesome!!! John and Flea were at their best as they opened with "Can't Stop" and came back with a big encore finishing up with "Give it Away", and playing most of my favs in between ! A really tight set, and I had killer seats on the floor pretty close to the stage!! Twas a birthday present from a good friend, my bday is on the 7th of Nov.

Anyways, I was doing some refurbishing to some of my works.


I digitally inked sketches with the all powerful pen tool in photoshop and recolored to give a few deviations an overhaul. I should prolly give some comparison pics, but if u cant tell the difference anyway, you either havent seen the old version of the pic, or you're a complete idiot.

Im entering something in s ultra awesome halloween contest. After that, Im not quite sure how much more you're going to see. I'm going through some changes right now; Im 19 in less than a month, I'm in love, and in 3 months im leaving my home, 8 hours away to go into exile for school.

Im not really implying anything there, Im not quitting art, Im just slowing down my art in order to work more critically on it.

I apreciate all those who shared some kind words. Those simple "nice jobs" really make me feel well. I also appreciate those who actually know what the words thank you and your welcome mean, its all I can ever ask for.

Well, I just finished watching Monday Night Football!! I personally think, and many can agree, that it is nice to see the city of New Orleans running again after that horrific tragedy. Of course it's just a football game, and that's not going to rebuild all those houses or repair the levees, but it is a symbol of hope and perseverence. I guess I was just touched by those cheering familys, who have gone through devastation, smiling and cheering for their team.... It shows that we can stand up together, hand in hand, and scream we will not go quietly^^! Best of wishes, New Orleans, and the whole state of Lousiana!!

Anyways....in the HOLY SHIT cloumn of todays news, we will see my cell phone bill.....between me and my father 165 dollars XD.....

-Im still working on meh photoshop skills! I think I got my own little system down Im trying to keep my deviations rolling on a regular basis, and I wont be doing much traditional stuff anymore. It's a great program, and i got it for....well, i better keep my mouth shut about that

-Im back in school on monday with my first class at 6 pm... yes 6 pm!! A three hour lecture on American government...fun XD

I had a good time, and I played in an overnight laser tag tournament (they have an LQ there, yay!). I played against like the best in the country, and I did ok, middle of the pack, not bad considering i never really got into tournaments and stuff

Yeah, so I havent really slept at all this weekend, but thats ok, im going to bed early tonight

I had a fun time, and I have pictures of my friends trying to play DDR.....oh my

I had a really detailed journal last night about how my weekend was so crappy and full of pain and misery, but my internet crashed and thus its all gone

I dont feel like typing it again, and I dont feel like telling what happened exactly because I dont have to.

Im stuck in a cage, and no matter how hard I rattle, i can not escape. It has always been wrong for me to be mad, because im the little brother, anything i say is a hissy fit or a temper tantrum. I dunno, im all screwed up... I learned that there aint gunna be a superman or neone to stand up for me, so its best i grow my own wings and stand up for myself. Sad isnt it? even the nice guy u know with the banana icon has problems too. The world waits for us to fail, die trying. Once the blood is shed there is no stopping the flow. Hear this world, I got heart full of blood, and I dont think you can stomach it all without choking.

Im very sorry, i just had to get that out. I dont want neone to feel the least bit sorry for me, I am and will continue to be fine. I also dont want advice, this is not a situation in where right and wrong is in the air because quite frankly we as human beings have yet to figure out what right and wrong truly is. What I search for is someone to fight with me.... who does not need to use his/her eyes to see the world for what it is. If you feel compelled from the bottom of your heart as a true genuine friend to say anything but sorry, then please do

I actually whipped out classic sonic on the genesis last night. I love my sega genesis, since i was in kindergarten it helped my dad raise me when it was pretty much just me and him, lol. Im not joking here, it must have been hard as hell for him to be both a father and mother figure to me for all those years before he remarried. I love u dad, it was his bday just a bit ago

I just got done workin my 7th day in a row, but it aint that bad. My dad works like 12 hour days 5 days a week plus he is on call every other weekend, so i cant compare with my part time job with his stressful one.

Art wise I might be out of my special pencil lead soon, and I might need to buy more or get an entirley new pencil. Tommorrow im seein the new superman movie, hopefully i might stab at something tommorrow.

See meh question of the day, me and someone who thinks im his best friend were arguing over this when i was at work.

Anyways, my art has been severly hampered by Guitar Hero, im sorry if it has hampered any im conversations with friends too, cuz the game soooooooo has me!!! I really dont have much to say cuz i know no one really gives a crap, perhaps outside a few people cuz thats ok cuz i dont care either

I had a fun an eventful first week of summer, and things r lookin to be goin steady now. This phillies lost the game I was at on thurs, grrrrr, but they're saving their wins for the world series

At Dorney Park in Allentown PA (about 20 mins from me house), I had tons o fun and I won a big Stewie Griffin doll!!!! I won it cuz I beat a lot of peeps at whack a mole!!! I'm so awesome at that game, and I tollay won my friends their own little plushies at it!!! And last night at work my boss let me play all night for our members thing! Imagine that, getting paid to play Laser tag, haha!!

My flu is pretty much out of my system, and I'm feelin much better. My parents r out of town this weekend, so yeah.... I'll leave it at that XD. I'm off to do stuff, and I just ordered Sonic and Tails plushies!!!! They're comin in teh mail soon!!!
