The new artpack is up! Hope you all like it! Thank you to everyone that entered, I you forever! The new artpack for this months details are also below and I hope that you all participate, for its a little bit of fun after all! hehe...

P.s! I have changed the plugin, and I realise this one is acually easier to work! I have made a little tutorial on how to use it for those of you who arent sure how to use it... hope that makes it easier, blame this admin for being a dumbass

The third ArtPack for TerraSin 2005, for the month of May is Yourself. Now I know that this is an unusual name for an ArtPack, but I thought we would do something a little unusual and something a little fun. Basically what I want you to do is take a photo of yourself already in existence, or a part of your body with a cam or something like that and then use that as a BMP for the terrain!

Now if you dont know how to do this, then firstly you need the Terragen plugin Firmament which can be found here = [link] and if you are still having issues just send me a note, and Ill help. The tutorial to use it can be found here [link]

After that the focus of your render can be anything, you can do anything with the atmosphere, water, whatever you like! You can also do anything with the Terrain that you want, including inverting and playing around with etc etcThis means you can do anything as long as the terrain comes from a photo of yourself. Have fun, be creative, and I really look forward to all the amazing renders you all shall produce!
You have till the 31st of May to get in your render, (just send us a note with the link)!

Hey all!
I just thought I'd do a proper update! Our memberlist is still slowly growing, and I have offically updated it, so everyone that has joined is finally on our pretty little alphabetical list! yay!

The artpack entries are still coming in! We have 17 (opps make that 18, I havnt counted myself yet... woops!) so far, but I don't think we are going to beat our score for last month! But then again you all have two weeks to make somthing beautiful for me to display and gush over

I have already decided what next months artpack will be (but its a secret) and I'm not TO sure how you will all react, but I think its a fun idea *chuckles* it will certainly be a pack where you can let your imagination run wild! but more on that in two weeks!

And a final note just to say thank you to all you guys, cause this club would not rock so much if it wasnt for all of you! Much love being sent your way from this lil admin.

Wow guys! Awesome artpack entries! Keep sending them in, I love to get them and you guys are SO amazing! WOW! I mean... some of them I'm just like... "Man I wish -I- could do that"

Just a quick update to say that I have been SO BUSY! over the last couple of weeks... its the end of the first half of this semester so it was exams and assignments coming out my EARS! I should be in class right this secound but I decided I really did need a break, and its the last day before the holidays weeeeeeee! so hopefully i'll get my own entry for this pack done! I am such a slack admin

Anyway love you all, hope everything is going well with you guys! Still got just under two weeks to get your entry in, and lets see if we can top last months GREAT turn out! I'm watching you all who havnt entered!

Important announcement! Due to a number of entries I have decided to take somthing into consideration for this months artpack. For one, PLEASE can you all check out the rules again, they are there for a reason and yes it is to make MY life easier but its also so everything is fair for everyone else. Please please please please. Also note that if the render doesnt meet the rules, or for some reason doesnt really seem to follow the idea of the art pack I will be rejecting you (sorry)

Now onto nicer news, for this artpack and THIS artpack only I have taken into consideration the topic 'the heavens' which can yes, encompass a lot of things. So... for this artpack and THIS ARTPACK ONLY I am going to allow SOME post work addition with sky scapes/planets/space scapes etc... but when I mean some, I mean some... this *is* a Terragen club NOT a spacescape club, and so the main focus should still be on the terragen (sorry to those people which I am going to have to reject your entries, they were beautiful renders just a lil to much)

I will be judging this on a piece by piece value, but I would prefere that all entries were PURE terragen... but I am willing to make a few exceptions as long as its not over the top - this was supposed to be about broadening your skills in atm. work.

1st April 2005
As of the first of this month, Jarik has decided to retire as Admin. He will still be a prolific member of the club itself, but is going to take the time to focus on his own club and bring that back to life, ~t3rragenD. I wish him the best of luck.

Having discussed it with a number of members, and after taking the poll into consideration, I have decided to change the ArtPack slightly, but not fully, so that everyone can be happy. Okay this is a note to say the art pack ends in a day or so depending on your timezone, and I have taken the responsibility of making up the artpack collaboration and will be working on it on my work shift on the 31 sooo if you havnt entered it by tommorow essentially bad luck Thank you for all the entries we have, your enthusiamm is amazing! It looks like Jarik and I have decided via poll results what the pack will be next month, but we will announce that after the pack has been published.

Now, onto a more serious note:
PLEASE READ!!
IF you want to be a member and IF you want to join then dont just watch us, NOTE us! I will no longer be noting people that just watch us to clarify if you want membership or not, you will be offically ignored. Also this is a group for Terragen artists, not photogrpahers, not writers, and if you have an interested at least have one render in your gallery or again I will ignore you. So if you are a culprit of this and you actually want to be a member, then follow the processors listed below, it isnt hard, and I dont think anyone wants me calling them stupid - and I will - its happened to often of late and its pissing me off.

Congradulations everyone! We have just hit the 50 member mark (memberlist is now fully updated hehe yes you are there soliatry ), and have had over 1000 pageviews since our lil old club was brought into existence on the 1st of March!

We have 25 entires for this months artpack already, and Jarik and I are totaly stoaked about it! It is really good to see you all participating and having a good time and making sure you post on the poll that yes I can kick Jariks ass, and will if he keeps making crass comments on msn

This was so exciting for me i decided it needed its own journal, and so we can be happy and dance around a bonfire togethor chanting chants about how we are all obsessed with Terragen and how it is our god!

We are sorry if they seamed a bit strict, we dont want to frighten anybody off, we are still the same club. It is some advice that we have heavily taken to heart, so that we can continue doing what we are doing, but without causing dissent and without breaking rules (which we have unknowingly been doing). At first ~Jarik-Knight and myself just thought we would do this for some fun, but the club has exploded (for which we are grateful for) but with many members, problems can arise, and so rather then waiting for them to happen, we are going to prevent them.

Update!
It was a warm and yet cloudy afternoon in New Zealand, when the TerraSin admins thought that they should get togethor to have a business meeting to discuss the group and its members in the most business like of settings - aka Riliths most messy apartment. It started off well, with the addition of a new member and the browsing of the new art pack renders... but it slowly went downhill!

It was disastorus! (yes I cant spell) The club, its members, all the preplanned work on the schedule was forgotten when... oh dear GOD! Pizza was ordered! The Anime was turned on and nothing got done!

I am glad to inform the members that we are normal lazy people, and we hope you love us anyway

TerraSin Chatroom
Though *NiVeDh did seem to create a chatroom under the name of the club, Jarik and I both discussed that we would prefere it if we had control over the room - we are bitchy little admins really and so we have decided that we would prefere that the TerraSin account was the only set founder for the clubs offical chat room... soo... very thanks NiVeDh but we would prefere to use the offical room for this club here [link]

~Jarik here, sorry I haven't written much for the journal, but Rilly always beats me to it . Anywho, I'd lake to thank everyone who has submitted and devation to this months art pack, so far every entry has been awesome! I look forward to the rest of your entries. Just a reminder, if you haven't voted in the poll, please do so, otherwise Rilith will kill me .

Also, post in the forum, it would be great to see everybody participating, Rilly and I will reply to any question we have as soon as possible, cause we have nothin better to do.

~Rilith here agin behalf of TerraSin. We now have 28!!! members, with some more on the way and 301+ page views! Who rocks? We rock! And you guys rock!!!! We have already have had MANY entires for artpack1, and I know a lot of you are working your bums off to get them in! With the speed and greatness of you all we were wondering if we should shorten the artpack time to 2 weeks rather than 4, but thats up to you guys. Post your thoughts on it!!!!

All of you that havent seen or checked out the forum do so! (Jarik is again hasseling me about my spelling and grammer! But I speak good england really ) If you dont I will kick your bum!!!
