Which, speaking of snow, Williamsburg is why I didn't get to take any snow photos. Lame! But at least I have fireworks.

Other than the fireworks, I'm finally caught up with uploading stuff. Only 8 things uploaded. Which, I figured there would be more, but I normally only fix and upload the things I really like. Although, I do have more shots of my cat, but they are more of the scraps section than in my gallery.

The fireworks photos are still on my camera. So, they aren't going to be uploaded tonight. They'll be up whenever I get to them. I have one more week left this semester and that week is exam week. Which, I need to finish project 3 for my web design 2 class. For the project, I am creating a new layout for my website. However, it is a small version of it since I won't have the time to go completely into detail with what I am going to do by the time it is due. And it is going to be organized differently and not everything is going to be on it. I might take a screenshot of it sometime so yall will be able to see what my finished site when I am able to get it done will be like. But I'm hoping for a new layout up by the new year. Don't know if I will get that accomplished or not though.

Well, I've gotten everything upload that I said I would from the last entry plus some more. I still have two folders of photos I need to go through, both of which are of my cat. XD So, I will do those sometime later since at the present moment, I have a headache.

This weekend I'm going to try to get some more nature photos. Why more nature? Because it is what I enjoy to take. Plus, the assignment for this weekend for my photography class is to work on taking photos for our book. You're wondering "book?" Yea, instead of buying a textbook for the class, we get to spend our money at any site where we can make our own book to be printed and we have to have it by the day of our final exam. Which, the book is the final exam and it's the whole if we have it, we get credit, if you don't have it, we don't get credit.

I'm going to get mine from Shutterfly since I can do the ShopDiscover thing and I can get the cashback thing too for there. So, I don't have to spend a lot of money. XD I originally wanted to use Blurb.com because you can actually sell the book you made on there which is nifty and it seems quite nice and better than Shutterfly. But, I could save more money using Shutterfly plus get some other things.

Yea, so I haven't posted a journal since my Gettysburg post which was back in the beginning of July. XD Also, as you may have noticed, I have been uploading photos from back in July as well the past week or two. I have one more folder of photos left. And those photos are from September 13 at the Maryland Renaissance Festival. I might do them tomorrow. Hopefully I will get to them before I go to the Civil War Reenactment of the Battle of Stanardsville where I will take photos. XD Provided I actually will be able to go.

In other news, I am getting a new camera. As soon as it comes in and I pick it up from my grandparents' (they're the ones who bought it for me along with my dad was putting money towards it as well), I will have a Nikon D90 with a 55mm-200mm VR lens. Don't know when I'll be able to get another lens. It will be quite a while. So until then, that will be the only one. ^^ I'm hoping it will come in tomorrow so I can have it Sunday (yea, I have to go to the reenactment on Sunday since I work Saturday but I also work tomorrow but it isn't on a Friday).

Now, for Gettysburg! IT WAS GREAT! I loved it and was glad I finally was able to go to a reenactment after years of not going. Only one bad thing though...the evil sun burn of doom. XD Yes, I am in pain...mainly like my shoulders down to my elbows since that is where I was like white while the rest of my arm is like tanish so therefore it did not burn as bad. I got to talk with a person of whom I never get to see and that I have known. Hoo-rah for having a mother who was a sutler! So yes, obviously the person I saw that I knew is a sutler. XD

In other news, I need to scan drawings sometime to post. Also, I have some stuff I want to post that I need to photograph since they are on LARGE pieces of paper and therefore will not fit in my scanner. XD

So, I think that is it that I have to write here. I hope everyone (Americans since we're the ones who celebrate it since it is an American holiday XD) had a great 4th. ^^

I should change my deviantID now. But I don't feel like going through the photos of me to figure out which one to mess with.

Oh, could anyone help me? I had to make a layout for my web design class and I have to use it for my final project but I can't get it to work in Firefox. It looks fine in IE. [link] That's the link to it that I uploaded onto my site since the part of his site he gave us is password protected I have it uploaded on my site as well to get help. It's obvious what is wrong, so I should have to go into a long description of what is wrong. (Especially if all you do is compare it to what it looks like in IE). So, if you can help me, that would be great and I'd like totally love you forever! XD ^^

Oh, and before anyone asks, yes, it has to use div layers. Yes, it has to be all done in the external stylesheet.

In other news, today is the second day I've not had to go to any classes due to the weather! Yay! Mainly because of ice because there is like no snow. *sigh* I want snow! Maybe it will still be bad enough so I don't have to go again tomorrow. Then I have more time to do some homework and do the doll for the party. ^^

Also, I made some icons. For my livejournal community. It is members only though. So, if you have an lj, join and check them out. If you don't like the place, you can always leave. But the icons I made were Emilie Autumn icons and TrueBlood icons. So, enjoy.

And if anyone is wondering what I got on the history quiz that I took for chapter 1 (western civ class), I got a 100 on it.

It amazed me. I figured I missed at least two or three questions. I mean, I've had this professor before and I only made a lower in the 90s score on a chapter quiz for his class and that was the highest score in his class that I got that whole semester. Everything else was below that. So, I'm happy!

Lol. Yea, as you know, or at least some of you, I've been "working" on my site for like the past 5-6 months. New layouts on the splash page and my doll/pixel site. Also, doll/pixel site has a new name which is The Dead Tree. I also have a new journal. That's no longer called The Siren's Song (I think that's what it was called. O_O). It's now Tales of the Forest. One must have a common theme. lol.

It turns out though, I forgot a page. My page with the dolls I adopted. Okay, only one doll was there but it needs to get done and put on my site and it will have more! HAHAHA! I just don't know when I'll get to it since I'm tired of looking at it now. Also, I'm going to redo the links out page sometime...as soon as I can figure out how I want to do it and then actually do it.

Also, on the splash page, I want to add something to that big blank space. I don't know what though. I thought about putting 10 links up there to the first 10 people who asked to be there and they have to have one of the big buttons that I can't remember the size of, it's like 130x55 or something? Does that sound like a good idea?

And it is a .pdf file. And look for the piece called College by Cat Taylor. (However, when I actually post it on here, I'll be titling it "Victorian Flower" just so you know.)

Also, as I was browsing around for that, I found out that some more of my work is on the school site. And it is stuff that I don't have on here either except for one piece. lol.

So, in order to look at that click here then click on Design I under Spring 2008 and it comes up in a pop-up. The ones that are mine have my name, Catherine Taylor, under them (the first 4 are mine). But don't look at just mine, look at the other people's work from in my class. There's some really nifty stuff there.

Supposedly, I'm supposed to get in contact with this one dude about getting a hard copy since I'm in it. My teacher from Spring semester told me about it and I have not yet received an email from the dude that I'm supposed to get a hard-copy from.

Oh, and if you want to check out my teacher from the Spring Semester from my design class, on the second link if you look over at the navigation under faculty, click on John Bell. He was my teacher.

In other news, I've finished registering for classes for spring 2009 semester! I have Survey of English Literature II, Elementary Statistics, Web Page Design I, Western Civilization I, Fitness Walking, and Computer Graphics I.

And still no car. I might be getting on tomorrow. Hopefully. My mom will be going to the auction. But if she gets the car we were looking at, it needs work so it will be a while after that because I have something to drive. *sigh* I want a car now! And food...I'm hungry...lol.

I have a sketch on paper and everything written on paper I just need to pixel it and then type it up. And it's due on the 31st which is tomorrow. So, I will probably do that sometime today within these 6 hours until my next class.

I now have a DS! YAY! I have the black one. Then I have the zelda game. ^^ That's it. T_T I want Mario Kart!!! That would make me so much happy!

Umm...that's all I can think of since I now have friends sitting with me and now I'm getting sidetracked and cannot figure out what I was going to write...

In other news, I've gotten in a dolling mood again. However, this is bad for I need to do school work. *sigh* But, calculus is a pain especially when it's hard and complicated even with notes sitting right in front of me! So, if anyone can help me with calculus homework or I can ask you 20million questions on how to do a problem, let me know?

Umm...I think there was something else I wanted to write...Oh! I know! I'm in the process of revamping my site. Don't know when it will be up. Maybe in a few weeks if possible. I did finally code the layout for my doll site. So, it's just actually doing all the pages. And, I'm getting rid of that coppermine thing. My dolls and bases are going to be back on the pages of the site instead of something else. Also, I still need to work on actually making the design of my other sites. Although, I do have the new journal up, but I haven't linked to it at all yet. And I did make a new layout for my jewelry site which is not coded. I actually don't even remember where I even saved the thing since it's be about 6 months since I made it. lol.

But anyways, I got back to college tomorrow. O how lovely...*sigh* The classes I have for this fall semester are ENG 243: Survey of English Literature, MTH 173: Calculus/Analytic Geometry I, Bio 101: General Biology !, Bio 101 Lab, and SDV 100: College Success Skills.

I'm just glad that my first class tomorrow is at 2pm. Unfortunately, my first class on Tuesday is 8am. -_- I am so not a morning person. *sigh* At least ~medievalancient is getting a ride there from me since we have that class together so she can keep me awake. lol. And if she doesn't, I can blare the AC and Disney songs. Like, the original songs from the cartoon movies. Not all this new stuff and remakes from "famous" people. Those are normally just lame. However, there are a few good remakes.

In other news, I have come up with a plan for a new layout/scheme for my whole entire website. Unfortunately, I don't know when I'll get it done or actually be able to work on it more due to I will either be in school, at work, doing homework, sleeping, eating, relaxing, and possible pleasure reading since I've pre-ordered books that will actually come out during this semester. One of those being Stryker's book (From the Dark/Were/Dream Hunter series by Sherrilyn Kenyon). I have only one layout made and it's not even coded yet (and I made it like a month ago). So, just chill. I should probably just update my splash page on my website and say I'm on hiatus. Don't feel like it though. I should still update here I think. Who knows?

Also, I have my very own little livejournal community called xlost_forestx. Well, technically it is called "The Lost Forest" but still...It's where I post icons, banners, and textures. It's members only though and I'm like the only member. lol. Join? Pwease? *puppy-dog eyes*

I want to say there was something else I wanted to post here but I cannot remember what. Therefore, it must not have been of any importance.

Although, I could always ask this: Should I spend the money to get a 3-month subscription? I want to try it, but I don't really want to spend the money. I don't want to get the year because I don't really have that kind of money right now and the by month is expensive. So I would get the 3-month just to try it. So, what you think? Should I spend $8 to try it out for 3-months to see if I like it, or is it not worth it?

I also want o use a different gallery than coppermine. I thought about that one that I also get in that script thing in my cpanel because it seemed nifty. But I don't remember which one it was. lol.

However, I'm really tired. I thought about it on the way home that, o, when I get home, I'm going to work on my site. Got home, I don't feel like doing a thing. lol.

I still need to update my jewelry site. But I want do that until I actually code my new layout and do a total revamping of it. lol. Yea, never feel like doing it and when I do, something comes up. Hmm...

Okay, yeah, with going to work I make more money which the majority of the check goes to paying for gas to my car to I can actually get to work in the next city. But, I'd like to relax on the days I have off. Not go work. Hmm... (But at least I'm getting better at parking and backing out of parking spaces lol)

In other news, I've made 2 designs for chokers to make on my new bead loom! It's a good one, or at least one I'd consider to be good since the one I had before is cheap and it sucks and the spacers are too far apart for the string...But, now I need to find the time to make them...and to figure out how to make them into chokers. lol. But the rest I think I can do, hopefully.

And I'm not limiting you to just choosing the photo. You can make suggestions for what you'd like to see done to the photo (and I'll probably do them if I know how or I can figure it out).

So, colors, text (or not text), and blah blah blah...

I might go back and make another choker but with different hemp to practice that style. I just finished one about 20minutes ago which was my first attempt at that one type of knotting. I'm used to square knots and doing the flat straight thing and the spiral when it comes to hemp.

Practice, practice, practice. Practice is always good. ^^

I have been looking at Casio Exilim 8MP at Target until I saw they have a 10mp on their site. But then, I saw the Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 at Ritz Camera when I was in there with my dad while he was buying his Nikon D300. It seemed nicer although, I didn't get to pick it up and look at it. But I never really got to see the other one in Target either because all their cameras in there were dead (as in, battery no longer have any charge to them).

Unfortunately, I know diddly-squat when it comes to picking out a good camera and I hate talking to my dad about it because he has to complain about everything and you have to have "the best." So, if there is something better than the Casio Exilim EX-Z1200 that's cheap, the same amount of megapixels (12), and has a macro setting, let me know. Because, I could use help with picking out a camera that I can afford or if I ask for it for my birthday or xmas, my dad or grandmother won't complain about the price...oh wait, they'll complain about the price no matter what the price is, mainly my grandmother will, my dad not so much but since it's not for him, more than likely he will.

In other news, I tried to update my iPod last night after having to restore the computer and finally getting my music playlists back to how they were after editing the .xml file to change the F: drive to the D: drive since when I restored the computer, it renamed the the hard drive. But, it won't copy over some of the songs which is weird because they play on the computer and they were on my iPod before hand. So, it's really odd and insane. Anyone know what I can do about this? Without me having to go find my albums so I can re-put the songs on my computer? Ok, I know where the one album is since it's on my cd rack, but the other one is in a box under my bed (where I have to lift the mattress off, then the boards, just to get to them). And then because of that, not all of my sons have transferred back over to my iPod. I think it might be plotting against me. And yes, I have restarted my computer and restarted my computer with my iPod still plugged in to it. It just hates me.

Also, if you have a Last.fm account, I'd love for you to add me if you and I are already friends or I know who you are, or if we have similar music taste. I just ask that you let me know who you are so I will make sure that I definitely accept the friend request. I normally do accept them unless the person seems freaky-weird (like stalker weird and people who just want someone).

And I have to go to work tomorrow. I normally only have to work Fridays and Saturdays, but I have to work tomorrow. Who knows if I have to keep on doing that or if it's just for this week or a couple of weeks. I guess I will find out sooner or later. But then, I guess I could just bother my mom since she does the scheduling and she's my supervisor. lol. But at least my hours are only overlapping with around 3 hours with hers. But since I'm in the very back, I don't really see her. I think I might have more fin there when she's not there actually. Hmm...

Well, this entry is long enough now. I wouldn't want to have to bore you any longer if you actually do read this thing.

Well, I'm in the process of making a new layout for my jewelry site. Don't know when I'll get everything done for it since I'm going to do some different stuff with it as well. Also, just the jewelry part needed to be updated with new stuff. Also, there's even things I haven't taken photos of yet and some things (which are made of hemp) that I haven't even finished yet.

So, it might be a while before I get all that done since I just got New Moon in the mail today and I'm reading that now. Also, I have a job now and I work on Fridays and Saturdays. Then there is a chance that I might have to work on Mondays for a couple of weeks while someone else is out of town. And I still have not finished putting up things from this spring semester. It will all be finished, but it will be done over a period of time. Especially, since now my scanner might actually be working correctly now since my dad cleaned it for me. Yay!

I think that's it. ^^

Anywho, it turns out my Fundamentals of Design 1 instructor put my "Pencil Drawing in Grays" assignment/drawing in the student art show.

In other news, I have like two weeks left of the semester? My last day is May 5. Either when I get home from taking exams that day or on the 6th, I may start scanning my "designs" and uploading them here. If not, you'll see them soon.

I also have plans for a new layout on my website. That will also be made and put up after the semester.

Also, I'm still working on those things for that art project. I do have one done that I need to scan. It's the line one. Then I have the color one done, but i need to fix it. It's mainly on the tear duct though. It doesn't look right. And it's already in color so I don't have many options on trying to fix it. *sigh* But I shall try.
