UPDATE!

I went to the zoo two days ago, saw a load of animals, took a crapload of photos

and yesterday I saw my first wild kangaroo while hiking in the hills around Boo's neighbourhood, it was most awesome! We also had dinner at a japanese retaurant yesterday, the kind where the chef cooks your stuff in front of you and all (the guy was awesome handling those spatulas!

) And after dinner we went and saw Distric 9 (I dosed off a little at the beginning but I saw everything still XD) and it's a really good movie, I recommend it!

I'm really sorry I've been overall less active computer-wise...Working on a computer for sometimes more than 8 straight hours a day can give ya some anti computer thoughts XD I will definitely try to get back to drawing a lot more; I wrack my brain and nerves so much at work that I,m often really pooped when I get home and if I approch the computer it's more often than not to play games for an hour or two or surf the web for silly stuff to watch

I do have a Christmas piccy in the works, although I'm not sure if I'll be able to make individual gift pics for my buddies...I'm not on holiday yet; I still have the 22nd and 23rd to go...(AND I was supposed to work four hours on the 24th, but we succeeded in making a compromise with the bosses; if we work four extra hours till the 24th we don't have to go work that day

)

I've been looking for solutions for about 2 hours, but no luck so far...and I don't really know any alternative programs that have the network feature AND similar tools (layers, pen pressure sensitivity, etc)

Here's the problem I have:

OC, Photoshop and Painter run fine on my computer (my OS is Vista 64); but when I try to draw in Opencanvas1.1, the tablet doesn't registers the strokes. It KIND OF does...but only If I,m in another program, and I switch back to OC by making a stroke on the Cintiq....

I also have 2 widescreen monitors. I tried unplugging my second monitor, but it still didn't work....

Does anyone know of a fix, or any settings that I should tweak to get my cintiq working with OC1.1 (I wanna OC really bad

)

EDIT!:

I got it to work! I simply did as PearlPheonix said, thank you very much! I simply shut off my computer, unplugged my two monitors and rebooted my computer (my cintiq is plugged into my second graphics card, a cheap PCI thing but it allows me to support more than 2 monitors

)

When I'm done OCing all I need to do is shut down the computer again and plug my wo monitors and reboot

I don't even have to reposition icons and other stuff! WOOHOO!

The gal who supervised it should get back to me on that before the end of the week, and I should get a reply about the animation test before the end of the week as well!

I also saw where the company moved...and it's like two blocks away from college 8D takes me about 45 minutes to get there, and about 1 hour and 15 minutes getting back, depending if I miss a bus or a subway train...whee!

Edit: Weird. I just got a call from that company, and they want me to come in on Tuesday for a coloring test.. o_O So I can almost double my chances of getting a job there, yay! From what they told me, coloring is payed by the drawing, so if you're mellow bout your thing it can come to around 10$ an hour, but if it goes really well and you can dish a lot of 'em out, it can come close to 15$ an hour..yay!

So yeah...!

I'm working on a little project of sorts with Tenky,I'll probably have some stuff to show for very soon!

On another note, I received my Playstation to USB adapter this morning so I can now plug my DDR dancepas into my PC to play Stepmania! Fun fun!

I'll be getting back to commissions soon; I might not always put every single one in the queue list either, so bare with me; I still need to get the inspiration and all back, and I think that for that I need to do a few personal projects and/or drawings to get into the mood again

EDIT: I've founf a temporary solution to my scanner problem, I found a sort of 'universal' scanning program that supports over 750 different scanners....I'm gonnna have to get used to it though, but I should get the hang of it pretty quickly....Unfortunately I haven't found anything for the webcam, so I think I'll go out later today to go buy myself a new one...

I am also raising my prices of about 10 bucks for the colored commissions, mostly because I really need the money! I hope you guys will still want to commission me! Hope it won't make you mad! X*D

I'm opening two queue slots! I won't be opening more, as I don't want to feel burried either, as that often gets me down when doing commissions...(as it probably does to everyone when they have MANY to do XD)

I will also try to do a little softer cel-shading!

Also thanks to all who've faved it, even though I know some had already faved it when I posted it in the animations category, so thank you!

As far as commissions go, I'm close to having finished the fourth one in the series I'm working on, thank goodness, so I'll be able to breeze through the rest!

I also think I will raise my prices, I don't know by how much....I just need to survive until I find another job...which I will find soon I hope!

First off the commissions are slowly picking up the pace, I finally got over the inking block I had and Iv'e started color on the one I'm currently working on.

I asked the art director if there would be any posts opening up for character designs as I know they'll have new projects in the works, and he told me that I'd probably have to go through some tests. He said why don't you try drawing an Inn tenant, in a style resembling the style that's used on the current project. I did and showed it to him. He made me correct a few things mainly on the head proportions and told me to draw a few pages with heads and differents characters and all. I drew one page with the Inn tenant's head I made, and he said it was coming along prety good! yay! I also showed it to our director and he said it was really nice! So I do hope they'l call me back on that one! In the mean time I'll practice a lot with that style!

Also next week I'll start up my calendar commissions, and once those are done I'll open new commissions, and I already have one person in line yay!

The tattoo artitist told me usually it hurts during the first ten minutes, and then the area goes numb, but since my design is so small it took exactly 10 minutes to do! So now I've gotta put on a medicinal clear cream on it for three days, then switch to non perfumed skin cream for two weeks. No exposuire to the sun for four weeks, but hey winter's coming so I'm not gonna go around in a bikini top!

My sister took pics with her cell phone while the tattoo was inked in too! I've got weird slightly pained faces on 'em! It wasn't too bad though! :3 xD I'll ask her to send them to me!

During my long break that's coming up I'll work on my calendar commissions, and I'll surely open up new ones when those are done to get a bit of extra money since no job = no money. xD

I'm also slightly frustrated, because 30 minutes ago my mom told me I gained weight, which is totally the opposite of what I'm trying to do. So I feel fatter than ever now and I'm gonna have to work extra hard to lose what I've gained. It shouldn't be too hard, as I've already cut on the sodas and everything, and I now drink a minimum of 4 bottles of water every day, so I get my 2 liters of it daily. So yeah, art-wise I've been sketching in my book a bit, though I still have to scan a few pages, I'll get to that soon I guess!

On a happier note, I'm planning on getting an mp3 player because I'm sick of portable CD players, CDs, and batteries

though I'm staying away from Ipods

I also want to get a new bed, as the mattress I have is around 20 years old, so i think it's overdue! Might get a bed and mattress from IKEA, it should cost me around 800, but it'll be a queensize bed so I'll have all the space I want to roll around at night instead of being trapped on a single mattress...

*FACTS*

1. I'm not difficult with food, I eat almost anything and I'm always ready to try new things. More often than not, you have to ask me what I DON'T like...and here's the thing I don't like that people always don't understand: I hate, absolutely HATE cantaloupe...It's just the aftertaste it leaves in your mouth, it's just icky to me...

2. Chucky the evil doll must DIE. It scared me to death when I was a child, and only the movie trailer was enough to scare me out of my wits! Even now if I see his face on Tv or anywhere I get goosebumps!

3. I used to be somewhat of a trouble child, when I was age 9 to 12, used to drive my mom crazy! xD

4. About everything in my room, except my computer, I got second hand. All my belongings are a mish mash of very different stuff that doesn't fit well together and that come from various members of my family!

5. I always wanted to cosplay something, anything, but never got the guts

6. I'm a sucker for Star Trek now, all because my astronomy teacher liked it and I said 'Hey it's on space, let's see what's so hot about it..' and buh, I got hooked!

7. I love salt...I always put like too much on french fries. That, and lots of ketchup!

8. I've never really been scared of dogs, even though I had two bad experiences with them over the year! I want a border collie!

See, everything was supposed to be ready tonight, we were supposed to go there, get the parts, go back to Tenky's place and ut it together...but there was a huge misunderstanding, my computer was sent to assmbly where the guy installed windows on my drive, which I didn'T want, because I've already got a copy. Then we find out they don'T even have the CPU, which they WERE SUPPOSED TO HAVE!! Originally we were told that only thw power supply was missing, then we get there, and the CPU's missing....They didn't have the model I wanted, so we had to go to another store for me to get another CPU, same brand, a bit better and a hundred bucks more expensive...I didn't wanna wait anymore so I took it....So all in all we're at Tenky's place right now, installing Windows Vista and the other drivers, and now we're about to head off to go have dinner!

SO yay I'm still happy! WEEEEEEKEND!!!!
