So, I told you guys I picked up a project awhile back. And I promised an update, so here it is:

I game across this home brew Sonic game titled "Sonic Revolution". It's all over YouTube, if you're curious. Anyways, It sparked my interests seeing as it had a lot of potential being a game that was built from the ground up, and not a mod. So I sent in my portfolio to Spiderbyte Games, which caught the attention of one of the team founders.

Appearantly the project was (basicly) dropped, seeing as nearly all team members had bailed. I was told if I could animate, I've got the spot and he might revive the project. Needless to say, he liked a couple samples I sent.
So, I spent 3 weeks re-learning Blender and completing the animation list, which I turned in nearly a month ago, and haven't gotten a response back. I've tried contacting him through several means.. but nothing.

This leads me to my rant... Im sick of people showing interest in what I do, then bailing or completely stopping communication when I've done my part. It's damn near impossible to find people dedicated to anything anymore.

No more mod teams -everyone knows 99% of mods never get finished-, no more teams that are barely to the concept art stage, and no more joining teams with guys under 20 years of age.
Unfortunately, that leaves no one else except big name businesses. Hah

So for now, Im going to stick with rebuilding this old '67 Ford Galaxie 500 that's sitting in the garage.

Ill upload the animations soon.

I honestly don't know where to go from here. On the art related side - I picked up a project before I decided to take this "hiatus" of sorts. I'll be doing the animations (for now).
I'll keep you posted.

Except of course, the Family Guy jokes that revolved around Michael.
Their deaths and memorials have been all over tv since they've kicked the bucket.. but no Billy Mays memorials!?

The guy was awsome. He left an impression in everyones mind who happened to flip through channels to find themselves mesmerized by his enthusiasm for household products...and of course the beard. He also provided us with some comedy through his image.

Hell, I've bought Oxy Clean and Orange Glow because he seemed so damn excited about it, and the products work.. to an extent.. but thats not the point! Then took off like bitches.. spent about an hour searching around the neighborhood for the fuckers.

My neighborhood is full of wannabe Norteño idiots. Us being white in a mexican neighbor makes us a prime target for vandalism and theft.
Couple weeks ago our house was egged. Just over a year ago some dumb 12 year olds thought they were going to break in at 4 in the morning.. lucky my brother and I tackled them and had them arrested. But no such justice this time around, thats what bugs me.

I'm glad i'm moving in a day. Will never see this place again.

I supose thats what i get for never turning it off -_-.

Deffinalty need more thermal compound, no money though... if that doesnt solve the problem it could be the power supply going out -again-. If worse comes to worst, it could be my motherboard acting up.

uhhh...

EDIT: New thermal compound fixed the problem. Now my CPU temp averages at 47-48c. Was 60c

It's about time I put a list of all my works in progress.. and no longer in progress. if you've been watching over the last few months, i've managed to acumulate a few.

Newest to oldest (i think. hah)

Klaymen Animated short - Klaymen model 100% done. Stage 50%. Animation 0%.

Army of Two mask- 85% done- might as well finish it.

Leon - was to 80% but took a drop to about 60% to redo the UV layout and textures

Saracen Assasin (face and body) - 55% needs a whole new head. Some better boots. Accessories. Was a high priority model, but i've put it on hold to brush up on anatomy and learn the game-pipeline workflow.

Swords and stuff for the game - 1% .. there's going to be alot.

Hyundai Elantra 03 - 35% ...it gains like 2% every 6 months. hah. Probably won't get done.

Shadow the Hedgehog - 0% File was erased long ago due to a few HD failures. I plan to keep it erased.

I'll be moving to Monterey, near the end of May. I don't know how much computer / 3D time i'll have after that. So we'll see what becomes of these works in progress. Hopefuly I'll get some of them done before the moving happens.

Anyone have any knowledge of the nextgen game pipeline? Perferably the Unreal Engine 3. I'm looking for information from building a model creating shaders(important) for said model bringing it into the engine and setting up a scene for real time previews. Just to get an understanding of the workflow before building a PC to even handle the engine.

My knowledge of the human anatomy is awful.
My human face models always turn out weird, not including the horrible skin shaders.

As soon as I notice that my 3D work has improved, it's still rubbish compaired to anyone on cgsociety.org or zbrushcentral . I've got some sort of block keeping me from creating something thats amazing. Packing as much knowledge as I can about Cinema 4d and zbrush doesn't seem to be speeding anything along.

The only way to improve is keeping cramming more info in my head. Got to get some anatomy books..

Oh yeah, Maya's interface sucks... the lack of an object heirarchy is lame (and the outliner is a poor excuse for organizing objects in a scene). The modeling tools need a real update aswell. People who use Maya on a daily basis are insane. Blender is free, and seems far more user friendly and versatile than Maya.

Any links to anatomy resorces, human face sculpting are appreciated... or even the simple, "quit being a bitch", works. Hah
