When I joined DeviantART I joined because I had seen some amazing photography and excellent criticisim being done on a website that I believed to be a more dark side of art finding countless peices I adored more than I'd ever found on another website however with the passing of time and the public's infatuation with ''animae'' this website saw a change. A change so great that I actually lost interest in this website nearley all together. I have made so many attempts at making as greater peices as possible and praying for at least a few comments from anyone at all but the public would denie me even that. People say my art is good every now and again but like so many others in my position we are pushed to the side and made expendable pawns in a line of kings. Kings in public interest.

I do appreciate all other types of art and have no disrespect to animae at all but I just find it to be rather dull and not something I'm terribly interested in and I do not understand why so many thousands of people have this estranged infatuation with something so simple NO DISRESPECT! But it is very easy to begin this type of drawing

Extend a fuck'n brain to me here...

I have been so bored lately that I've been researching into Queensland Rail and now I know all these random facts about them.

Did you know that the Airport line (made out of prestressed concrete and iron) is not actually owned by QR, it's owned by Airtrain Citylink Limited which explains the high fares but the high fares are for a reason. In 2003 the Airtrain faced a financial chrisis due to low passengers and it's low fares (classed as zone 4) however passengers soon caught on in 2004 and 05 and an increase by 40% was recorded and the fare was made private after AC Limited decided to class the line as private and force QR Citytrain to become a more or less contractor causing Airtrain to pay their own maintinence fees for the line and hiring QR"s trains for the service, hence the flatline $13 per person single ticket.

RANDOM!

I honest to god feel like I’ve been put in a fucking radiator to sit and take pleasure in the anguish of this life I call my own. Every shit-filled step I take is another mistake to the life of this planet and my own miserable wasted existence. A joke, a life long joke – that’s all it’s ever been. Each day a living memory of my death foretold long before the conception of existence. Every face so god damn familiar and every sound I’m so fucking sure on and still… just one piece of the god damn puzzle missing. You raise the question among this tale of horse shit and dog crap – why don’t you just effing kill yourself? Save us the trouble of listing to your dribble dip! – WHY! WHY? I’LL GOD DAMN TELL YOU WHY! There’s more than just this life out there… there’s more to it than this and yet my mind struggles to distinguish reality from the dreams of myself and others. I have no fucking clue if love has ever been before me – I’ll never know if I’ve already had love let alone know how I can still load the bullets in this gun. Just hours of endless ranting to my own personal insanity chamber called the human mind. Even if I did load it – would you notice? Would my misery and suffering somehow arouse your pathetic love and be my knight in fucking armour? I beg to differ your positive answer. Sure! Natural reaction is to be a god but the face of death is submissive to no one and all who come beforeth must face its’ lonely undying illusion of a hope long lost in the depths of time. Your foolish attempt at holiness is nothing, absolutely negative at achieving anything. Your dreams will be shattered as mine already have. Love is forever an illusion from the dead truth that there is nothing for you. I’ve been so close then closed my eyes for something more and got nothing. Every question, every road leads to the same answer – nothing. Nothing I say! Love in two places at once fools your mind. The heart ceases the race as your brain dissipates and kidneys dilate while your lungs collapse. Life appears before your eyes as you cough your last breath of blood and exit on truly a fine day of winter’s beautyÂ

Rules :
The 1st player of this "game" starts with the topic "6 weird habits/things about yourself" and people who get tagged need to write a journal about their 6 weird habits/things as well as state this rule clearly. In the end, you need to choose the next 6 people to be tagged and list their names. Don't forget to leave a comment that says "you are tagged" in their devpage comments and tell them to read yours....

Minus Life with special guest Tidal (SA)

One Day Dead
This recent addition to the Brisbane metal scene is an impressive line up of thrash-like alternative metal listeners who definitely remind me of Atreyu however with deeper guitar riffs. It is plain to see that they are a Metalcore band much like Atreyu performing with screama vocal techniques, fast and heavy guitar riffs accompanied by fast drumming. The band were not the most attractive by the crowd but I stuck by the front the whole time they played because I know how much it would mean to me if at least one person stood up front. The band played well and just did their own thing not caring what others thought.

The music was pretty good and they had great effort but not my favourite, from me they get out of 5:

Re-Invention
The shitty-like Mohawk that looks like a fucking mullet OH MY GOD I HATED IT! Sorry about that, just bitching about the lead vocalist and how much I hated his hair on the night. This band was a fair bit heavier than One Day Dead with their faster and deeper guitar riffs and drum lines however were still probably a Metalcore genre. The line up contained a lead vocalist, a bassist, 2 guitarists and a drummer all looking like they had influences related to bands like Astriaal, Atreyu and just a hint of Cradle Of Filth.

The music was great and their performance was bloody wicked so out of 5:

State Of Integrity
SOI haven’t been around as long as bands like Minus Life but they have been around long enough to know what sort of turn outs they get from Brisbane crowds. The band cooked up a storm with their Death Metal relations but still maintaining a calm melody line causing me to believe their genre was Melodic Death Metal.

State Of Integrity did a good job in delivering a dose of music lust on us all there and I give them out of 5:

Empyrean
Performing one of the best was this Death Metal band with the classic Nile-related style whose music would impress any Death Metalist.

The songs were performed absolutely excellent and they need not many words to say how great they did so out of 5:

Lynchmada
A flawless performance by the Melodic Death Metal band and they performed one of the best. The sound they had was much like Minus Life and the instrumental breaks were mainly for the keyboardist they had in the band.
The progression from growl vocals to samba tenor vocals was done well too and so out of 5 because I loved their music they get:

5 WAYS TO ROCK!!!

Sons Of Mars
The first band of the night playing and they did great! Their genre was pretty hard to pick up on but I think they might have been Grunge Metal and they played it very well. The crowd was moshing along to the great music as they played some of their own tunes and some Iron Maiden songs as well which were done pretty impressively. Guitar playing and atmosphere created was great and the drumming was a major player in the great end production of the great music.

Sons Of Mars overall,

Quill
This band was a little disappointing and a bit too progressive and pretty hard to genre categorise. They started off with playing some Avant Guard rock/metal type music then played a long song, lasting about 8 minutes which was a pretty good song with excellent vocals. After a few progressive songs I think the band walked away feeling like they achieved a great time with the audience and with each other and I think that regardless of the some who hated them I think they did pretty good.

Quill out of 5,

Arcane
The third way to rock, Arcane. This was an interesting band with their progressive music. Genre would probably be Progressive Rock so it was disappointing and the band themselves could see that with some of the crowd looking a little down because of some of their songs however I think they did damn awesome! I admit some of their music was sappy and shit but I loved their performance and they did surprisingly well with their new bassist and drummer with no mistakes. Vocals were excellent and I’d love to have a Progressive Metal get together with the band and do different sots of songs. Arcane may have had their down points but they had a great time on stage and did a great job playing.

Arcane get out of 5,

Mobstar
Interesting band and I’m not sure how they manage being a metal band. I could swear they were a band like Kiss crossed with Iron Maiden playing some of BOTH those bands which was actually kind of funny. Mobstar aren’t exactly my favourite but by the looks of them you’d be able to tell they don’t really care if you like their music or not, just as long as you head bang to it! Their own songs remind me of artists like Kiss and Iron Maiden, just like I said before and the cover’s they did by the two bands rocked the place out!

Mobstar, excellent atmosphere!

Metallurgy
THE fifth way TO ROCK! Metallurgy did exactly what the title aimed at. The place was filthy with head banging people there to just have a great time with the band. Metallurgy did a Pantera cover, didn’t quite catch the name but I knew the tune and they played it great! Megadeath was also another band they covered but because I don’t like Megadeath I’m not sure if it was a great cover or not but it sounded good to me. Their own songs were structured much like Metallica songs and were great to head bang to and if they had their new EP with them at the time I would have bought it. The lead vocalist sounded like a bit of a shy guy but he was an awesome vocalist.

Metallurgy get maxed! <img sr...

My Dying Bride - The Light At The End Of The World

Review: This album is one of the best by My Dying Bride and I am proud to show it off in my collection and it's even better because my copy is the original 1999 Digipack release with cardboard cover and cd case. The darkness surrounding this album is amazing and the songs gleem with agnst and dead hope. The guitar riffs range from slow to fast in alomost all songs on the album. The best song on it would probably have to be "The Light At The End Of The World" it's mainly a story about a dark traveler and it like most of the other songs is fast and slow.

BEHEMOTH CONCERT NOTHING BUT FUCKING METAL PLAYED AT IT'S FUCKING BEST!!! Originally I was getting in there at a price of $40 and getting in there at 9:30pm and bands playing were going to be Behemoth (obviously), The Furor, The Amenta and one other band who due to unforseen circumstances could not make it. In the end Behemoth were having a last minute sound check which went for 30 minutes I then got in later because of the idiot security guards who said I wasn’t on The Furor's guest list (got to love contacts) however that got sorted out and I got in I payed nothing which was great! The reason why I was on the guest list was because I know Jon who’s in the band The Furor who as I said were playing that night and the reason why I wanted to be on that guest list was because I am only 15 and it was for over 18’s only . When I got in The Furor were playing their last few songs and as usual were in their massive spikes and unusual goat head armour like equipment and I thought that the guy I knew was the backup guitarist because I wasn’t too sure who was who in the band. Anyway I waited over to the right of the stage where he was and when he finished I introduced myself but when I only got a little reaction it got me thinking if I actually was talking to the right person. After The Furor was The Amenta who rocked the place out with songs like Zero, Nihil and a few others but the best was my all time favourite and their last song Erebus which they also played the best. Last but certainly not least was Behemoth who did songs such as Decade of Therion, Slaves Shall Serve and As Above, To Below. Behemoth’s performance was a little disappointing because of their song selection however their style of dress was definitely something to consider as awesome. The guitarists had on these massive spiked shin guards and they had enough makeup white makeup to put onto about 15 other people. During one of the songs one of the band members changed into this iron maiden like helmet and a very nice leather trench coat which was an unusual change over but then again this is a black metal band we’re talking about here … anything is possible … after the show there were quite a lot of broken bottles and drunks around the place so I kind of tried to keep clear of them and just stick near the bar and near the bar I just happened to meet some one there who might just help me get into concert in the future. Front-man vocalist Arzarkhel for Brisbane based black metal band Astriaal was there. We got acquainted and began to talk about the concert and how it was actually the reminds me about one thing I’ve noticed about bands like Astriaal and The Furor and all those other Black/Death Metal type of bands. They don’t listen to each others music much just at concerts. Arzarkhel to me something like that, he said that they all just respect each other and their music. Anyway I managed to get the guys email address and he told me that in about a month he’s doing a performance somewhere in town so I should hope to be on that guest list too hahahaha. As for the venue, Her Majesty’s Bar AKA The Basement. It was a pretty good selection in terms of location as it was located in the heart of the queen street mall. Between performances you could just rock up at Hungy’s and grab a bite to eat or even go replace your missing ear plugs like myself at the chemist near by well I didn’t loose them but I needed a pair. Injuries sustained: sore lower back and neck and I feel sorry for the drunken guys who got taken out by the security guards. Best Act: I think that award goes to The Amenta hahahaha. Out of 5 star rating: 4 star, dodgy song selection by Behemoth in my opinion but still, THE CONCERT FUCKING ROCKED!!!!

THE NILE CONCERT WAS SO FUCKING SWEET . First playing was Astriaal who we're pretty damn good playing some awesome sounding death metal songs. The audience were into the band with all the head banging going on. Next up was The Furor who are apparently according to someone in the audience Western Australian black metal they were pretty cool sounding and looking too. The lead guitarist/backup vocalist had black and white paint on his face and he also had a phenomenal amount of spikes on his arms and legs which looked like he made them himself because they were MASSIVE and definitely not legal on the streets. Then the main attraction to the entire show came up NILE!!! The crowd went absolutely nuts as it was Nile's first ever Australian tour and it was also their last show until they come back next time in who knows how long. From first song to last song the crowd stayed nuts the whole time playing washing machine and chucking stuff in all direction even onto the stage which really pissed Nile off and they ended up threatening to leave if anything came up on stage again. Luckily nothing happened and the band continued to play. Nile played songs like Annihilation Of The Wicked the song to their new album produced earlier on in the year and they played awesome past songs like Sarcophagus. With all the metal music, head banging and washing machine going on I ended up going half deaf and got a sore neck from head banging and got shoved quite a few times from everyone BUT MAN WAS IT ALL WORHT IT!!!! The Nile concert was in short the best show I've been to in a long time, crowd and all. Out of 5, I give it a 5!!!! However I did have ringing ears afterwards and I had to walk half way home which was a long way and quite annoying.

The last poetic deviation I entered took me hours to do and it’s not even very good! It just keeps getting worse and worse when will it stop!? I’ve got the worst case of writers block right now and it’s really pissing me off. I can just sit there, start off a poem but then…end up at a dead end AND THE PIECE DOESN’T MAKE SENCE!!! I don’t know what to do; don’t know what to do at all. My favourite piece entitled “Winter Befalls Me” took about two hours to do and my last one Sear Me MDXLVI took about three and a half hours and it’s not even very good. I’m thinking of taking a break on writing stuff but the only problem is that I’ll start to feel an urge to write so then I’ll start to write but in the end up right back where I was before. I DON’T KNOW WHAT TO DO!!!

About nine months or so ago I had my eagle eye on a black pure Italian leather trench coat imported from Sydney originating from Italy. Now because it's from Sydney it is expected to have a massive price tag because they are massive on fashion however I managed to find it on sale with 20% off and then with a little negotiation I then managed to lower it by an additional 15% bringing it down to about $850. So what happened next was it was put on lay-by and was planned to be picked up in a few months and ever since I have been looking forward to getting it, well that was the case up until last night. You see Sydney had a lay-by time limit just like all other places and that limit is three months and well...we had already taken nine... So the next time I was in there showing one of my friends the jacket I wanted I was told by the store manager that Sydney were getting angry with the amount of time it's taken to buy the jacket and were planning on foreclosing on the lay-by so when I got home I asked mum if we could get a loan to pay off the rest and she said she would think about it. The next thing I know mum has gone behind my back and bought a $400 jacket with the lay-by money, not trench coat a jacket. As you could imagine I was extremely pissed off. I suppose the jacket I have now is...well...ok I guess, but still...I want that trench. I haven't given up on the trench yet, I need to get a new job though so u never know. I might still actually get it...maybe.

It shits me to tears how people can change so suddenly. My bestfriend I met at school one day not too long ago now hates me because I kind of annoyed her but the thing was, was that I had told her a few issues I've got goin on in my life and she said she understood but when it came to the punch, she couldn't forgive me. It wasen't even a fight or anything. People who say they understand, and end up walking away are basterds. Make sure you don't get caught out like that. Anyway this friend of mine is avoiding me completely and by any means nessary and is always giving me evil looks every time i see her. I don't like hateing people but I am on the way to hateing her with a passion...that's not cool...
