Things have been busy lately, for sure.

I'd like to apologise beforehand concerning something I should have posted here before, but have no time to do so: It was the November issue of Play Magazine, which talked about what happened to all the "critters" from videogames, which included our dear hero VEXX!!!

I found out about it because the man who did the piece of art for the magazine posted it on DeviantArt! For those who'd like to check on it and find more about what the article's talking about, click on the link to the side: [link]

Once again I apologise for the delay!! Maybe there's still time to find this magazine on stands! I shall check on "Saraiva Megastore" here in Brazil to see if they have it as well!!

There was probably some submissions to do with Vexx that I might have missed, mainly those who are fanfictions (sometimes it's a bit difficult to know if a fan art/fic is related to Vexx among so many deviations, mainly if it's a fan character or the title has nothing to do with it; I admit having to use the search engine sometimes to confirm which ones are Vexx fan arts/fics, but if there's no "Vexx" word among the keywords, then it's useless , that's where it comes the necessity of notes).

This soundtrack is not like the current one we have in our Goodies, this one has a few more songs which can't be found in the older soundtrack link (Like Dark Yabu's fight theme ) just like some records from the older link can't be found in the new one, AND songs we'll never hear in the game for they are discarded records from when the game was still in development!

I'd like to advise beforehand: If you notice some titles don't match with their songs, it's because they simply doesn't, but that's how our club member found them, but you can simply see the original song title when using an mp3 player that it'll display the true name.

A little extra bonus for itunes users: In some of the records' comments, ~4815162342108lost has just added a riddle which matches with the level the soundtrack belongs to (yeah, those little riddles the game gives you to find out where each Wraithheart is, it's fun to go take a look on them, it's somewhat nostalgic ).

As we all know, DA has no fan club system, so those who wants to make a fan club, whatever it is about, needs to do it with what we have by now. Due to that reason, the owners of fan clubs across DA had to create their own rules to keep the organization of it, and the first, main rule is: DO NOT FAVORITE FAN CLUB SUBMISSIONS.

Why does we need this rule? Simple: Credits given fairly to the original owner. a fan club submission is not in fact the original submission at all, but the one in their owner's gallery instead. For those who never noticed, we always put a link to the original fan art in the artist's commentary of the fan club submissions, only to help you find it without further problems.

I really needed to write up this journal, because to some it seems that putting a HUGE "do not fav" in the club submissions, much less sending a note it's not working to get the point of this rule across. I'm not angry at all, but try to understand my position, it's kinda exhaustive having to say the very same thing over and over and over, and not being heard at all... I really wished DA would had an option to disable favings as well, but that's not possible, that's why I need of your sole consideration to make sure each owner will receive their deserved credits on their art.

Some of you know that there is some spam messages going around DA, they coming from known people or not, they come in phrases as "rofl this may interest you CLICK HERE" or "I saw your picture in this blog CLICK HERE", and this all new one (which I received right just 5 minutes ago) about an IQ quiz with a CLICK HERE at the final of it.

Did you notice some resemblance? IF YOU SEE ANY MESSAGE WITH A LINK UNDER THE NAME OF "CLICK HERE" AT THE FINAL, DON'T CLICK IT!!!!! Those messages are sent automatically to various random Deviants once someone click on it, this act gives access to a hacker to invade not just your account in DA but your PC AS WELL!! (after all it's a hacker!); If you just clicked on it by accident or you didn't know what was about CHANGE YOUR PASSWORD IMEDIATELY AND FLAG IT AS SPAM TO AVOID OTHER PEOPLE FROM CLICKING IT AND BE VICTIMS!!!!

ATTENTION EVERYONE!! This can interest you, it's Recca-sama's last journal, it's about a Vexx comic she's planning to do, so make sure you'll read.

NEW!!! Now it follows below, after her journal, the requirements that needs to fit your character fit her comic!

I'll give you some tips before:

NEW(again)!!! Better tips which can make easier to give your informations about your character without forgetting anything, so read carefully.

About the fan character/characters story and personality, if you have a profile of the character in DA like me it will be easier, for you can organize better your ideas about him/her/them without forget something, so I recommend you to post it on DA as a text submission, this is my Vexx profile maybe he should help you to think of what to use or not [link]

Some informations are essential to be given in the profile (well, I don't need to mention the name, do I?! ). Don't forget to put the fan character's age in it (oh, about that: recca's said that it would be worth if, at the owners's will, she could fit the characters age in the plot as well if the age makes a great difference). Height or weight is optional, it's easier if you use Vexx's size as reference (like, is he/she taller/the same size/shorter than him?) and other things as blood type, favorite color, sign, "underwear" , ANYTHING is optional of your own, but don't forget: name and age;

POWERS AND SKILLS! Need to say more? If your character has, don't forget to mention them (Warning: some powers can be highly flammable, handle it carefully );

Don't forget to mention physical characteristics of the character, I don't know if the comic is going to be colored, but make sure to detail as much as possible, even physical problems or something that the fan art doesn't show for they can be featured in the comic, for example, the fan character Tami of is blind, Gaijin always makes her pupils white but it's good to jut out those details because they can make great difference as the comic unfolds;

Try to detail you character's personality as much as possible. No one has crystal ball right? So the more you describe the character, the easier it will be for Recca to portray him/her in the comic. Qualities and flaws too for no one is perfect. Oh! As some of you know, one dear member by the name of Resuki has completed her Vexx fanfiction quite some time ago, the "Vexx: Shadow Puppets" which can be found on Fanfiction.net [link] ... 26 chapters and over 36.000 words mark this fanfic as the longest of all Vexx fanfics ever made till now, and one of the few which were finished.

This fanfic marks also her first complete fanfiction. So if you feel like to go praise her, do so!

But let's get to the point... A thing that I've seen is that not all of you got conscious of her fanfic (the reason for this journal ) and because I got curious about something: what everyone thought of this fanfiction? so, it would be fun and a good thing for resuki if everyone did their own commentary here about the story: say about the characters, talk about the situations they were in, speak of resuki's writting style, make a review, ANYTHING!!

Let's see what the readers think about this fanfiction! Let a comment about it here on this journal!

There's quite some time I've noticed that there were lots of people questioning to where to find the official sketch works for the Vexx game, so I thought into put the links for those images which are on their owners' site. the first one is from:

He's one of the designers who worked on the game, his site contains lots of thing on the gallery and in the cinema there's two movies for the game. The second one is:

Another designer from the crew, and the one whose turned Vexx to 3d;

Plus I'll be giving you a site where you can download Vexx SOUNDTRACK! As I heard to the songs, there aren't all of the musics, but it's better than nothing [link] Just a thing to make it clear: one of those musics were never listened in the game. That's why this song is a demo for the game made by Nelson Everhart (game music composer who worked for Acclaim), apparently it was supposed to be Vexx's personal theme, so don't delete it!

And now some curiosities about Vexx:

Vexx wasn't supposed to start like a single hero, it was supposed for the game to be a hero/sidekick thing, just like "Ratchet & Clank" or "Jak & Daxter"; their names were supposed to be "Clip & Mischief" (check Gregg's site), and their objective in the game script is unknown;

then the previous idea was discarded and give space for the single hero idea, deducing that it was at that moment which appeared the idea of the hero with gloves, seeking for revenge. However, the main character had another name: "Jinx" or "Jinxed". Maybe the idea of a villain and a wise person (to guide the hero, think of "Darby") has surged on this part. Some previous sketches for the hero can be found on Gregg's site as well;

When the crew finally decided to nominate their hero with the name we know, "Vexx", they've made more sketches progressively to decide how their hero should be, those images can be found on MANu1's DA account too (thanks to for remembering me that ) [link] more of this story can be found on Animation Magazine page, with link to it in the curiosity right below;

The final version of Vexx was a mix between the two final sketches for Vexx, they can't be found in neither sites, but they appear on a page of the edition of May 2002 from the Animation Magazine as well in MANu1's page put in the previous curiosity, here's a link for the magazine page [link] ... talk about Smurfs!

Some features from Gregg's and Alex's site doesn't seem to fit Vexx world, but some of them are earlier props from his world even before they decided to nominate him "Vexx", so take a good look on everything that you can find on their sites;

Gregg's site contains the props from the current Vexx village that only appeared on the opening cutscene, some of them never appeared! good references;

I took a look on 's page and I didn't see ANYTHING that would resemble something Gaijin has ever made till now, but I ask you to go look too.

I'm asking you your advice upon this issue, because just I don't will make this problem clear, probably my first attempt to take the offensor some explanation can be ignored or even replied with even more offensive things! But I know that with some more people helping me, I know that this will be a problem no more.

I'm grateful for all those who read till here, and please: if this accusation is really unfair or both ideas were just a coicidence, help me to defend .

We need to spice things up in this club. So my assisstant and I thought to make a contest. Future contests will get harder. But the subject for this contest is that:

"You guys will have to draw how the ending of Vexx should have been in your point of view."

Sounds easy right?

To undo some misunderstandings We'll be putting here some explanations about the prizes.

As you know there are images of the "prizes" right below.

BUT!!!... it aren't the images themselves that will be your prizes!! The TECHNIQUE (painting, charcoal, lineart, respectively and one per place) applied on them it's what will be used on your prize!(which will be kind of a request).

The images are, as said before, just examples of this technique, sorry if there was some misunderstanding about that!

Don't make it porn;
Put some thought into it;
You MUST to write a description of your drawing about the ending and why you did it;
If you are willing to make a comic: your limitations of pages for your comic is 3 pages. Less than is allowed. But no more than 3 pages;
if you are just doing an image of the ending then the club allows only ONE entry, no more than that.

Some of you should have been concerned about how we avaliate an entry. The majority, obvially, just every good contestant should have thought "art design" or maybe "technique", but our criteries aren't that! Looks crazyness, but that's it. What we are looking for is:
