As always, I'm nowhere near close being satisfied with my shots, but it is very encouraging to see them become better. For the next shoot I'll focus on preparations more (instead of mucking around like I did before) so I can get more out of my time with my model, getting some attributes for more variety in my compositions and creating at least one more good light setup.

I'm really starting to love model studio photography - very different from what I've done before and much harder than I thought... I'll definitely keep my focus on it. I'll still post some other shots from time to time though.

However, the reason I haven't updated much in the last years is because I've become weary of animating. While I almost always love the end results and while the creation process starts out very creative and fun, 99% of the rest of the time is often neither interesting or creative - more like production work.

So what now? Well, I've recently (re)started with something I haven't done for over 10 years - Photography... Yeah I know, the last thing deviantART needs is another photographer, but honestly I don't care. I've had ridiculous amounts of fun getting back into photography these last few months and will post the (better) result here in the coming months / years / forever. Animating on deviantART might be more of a niche and I definitely don't expect any large amount of followers for my first (re)attempts at photography... but maybe in time - you too will very much enjoy my photo's - I can only get better (I hope).

All I know is I love being creative again and look forward to becoming part of the deviantART community again. Any professional photographers that want to give me any pointers - PLEASE DO!

Allright then, I was finally able to figure out my software issues and convert & submit the first 2 devArts since a loooooooong long time. Brainstorm 4's the only decent one though, be sure to check that one out. Second one is a mediocre attempt at an avatar... man I really need to get back into this, cos originality used to be my thing... I'll get it back though, I'm sure.

To my great dismay, I found out most of my devFriends have been gone for 1/2 a year or more, probably never to return. Fortunately, some of them are still alive and kicking fortunately, hope to hear soon from you all!

So, you ask, what have I been up to since the last time I was active here? Well, I've been studying really hard (no wait, that would be partying really hard), finding out I didn't really like to be only doing theoretical stuff, changing to a different major, finding out again I still don't like only doing theoretical stuff, starting my own business with some coding genius (Morose Media -> Webdevelopment), finding out I really like it, also finding out it takes 60 hours a week to run your own business, expanding the business, putting university on hold for a year (starting now), getting back to deviantArt. ... Yeah that's pretty much it in a nutshell.
So why am I back? To get a bit more insperation for my designs. I you want to see some of the work I've done as a webdesigner, be sure to check morose.nl (english) and under "project" there are a couple of projects for you to see. Leave any feedback in this journal if you did.

Well people, I've got two weeks of free time coming up, so you're all going to see some new stuff from me... after 2 bloody years of silence.

Oh and eh, yeah I kinda want to tell you what I've been up to these past 2 years, but it's too much right now... so the short version is: f-ed up my university, started a business late last year (mostly webdesign currently), been working 60 hours a week since, going well but socially isolated... Hello dear fellow dA-ers,
I'm very sorry to have been gone for almost 3 months now... I don't know why, I've not been extraordinarily busy or anything. Must've been the moving to my new pimp big ass room and concurrent partying with all the new people I've met in this new city of Utrecht.

Anyway, just wanted to say I'm gonna try and upload something at least once a week from now on... I don't know if I'll succeed, but I'll try. Oh and I've finished all the avatars! But apparently there is a "secret" forum entry on my personal forum ( [link] ) which puts 2 back on the list of avatars to do (~Margorach & *dark2)... So I'll be getting to them asap. Also = RaAnan won the "Guess the Woozyness factor"-contest so he can either choose to get an avatar or custom cellphone animated wallpaper.

Allright then... Been busy with a lot of university and drinking with friends, so my computer time was seriously limited the last 2 weeks, but I was still able to squeeze out 2 more avatars for *meoww [link] and ~silvertip [link] .

Oh in other unrelated real life news, me is going good, but my girlfriend and I broke up a couple of weeks ago... so if I'm suddenly gone from deviantART for a week or so, that probably means that I'm moving my stuff to a new appartment. No hard feelings though, we're still great friends.

Yes yes, the rumors are true, I'm back in deviating form, back to my good old seat in front of the computer, back from the sunny and wonderfull spain, packed with presents and packages, swamped with swords and smokes, back to the good ol' Netherlands, back feeling physically worse, but mentally rested, back to annoy the hell out off all of you!

Now I must admit I'm very proud of all of you for not killing me with an overload of messages, cos I only got 381 new messages ( 2H | 11M | 66C | 265D | 3F | 33J | 1N ), which isn't much considering I had 200 when I left and most are new deviations of which I will only check half.

First of all I will get some vacation photo's in the scrap section which I really like and then go check my messages and I'll probably won't get those done today, so I'll be busy with them tomorrow also. Then it's back to making some good ol' deviations you all grew to like and enjoy over the time you got to know the insane me.

Anyhow, I got myself a new processor for my comp so that I can make even bigger better animations and I also got a plugin for Adobe AfterEffects called PARTICULAR... It's REALLY cool. I'll show you what I mean extensively in a few days.
