I also would like to thank everyone who supported me in my last journal. This hasn’t been a good year. Hopefully something good can happen to me soon. But at least I am not as depressed as I have been earlier this year. ^^;

In less than happy news, do you guys remember in my last journal about my cousin Tiffany, the one who lost her dad and had to go to his funeral on her birthday? Well, sadly we got some more sad news from her. We’ve known for a while that she wasn’t doing well, she has an illness. She is a nurse, and her and her doctor/boss suspected the problem. Other doctors agreed until she took and x-ray to a specialist, where he conformed the suspicions. She has been officially diagnosed with MS. :(
For those who don’t know, MS stands for Multiple sclerosis. You can read about it here on Wikipedia. [link]
Any prayers and well wishes will be greatly appreciated. :thanks:

In other news, I’ve decided to temporarily hold off my university studies. I don’t have much money, and haven’t found a job yet, and of course school just keeps getting more expensive. I’ll go back and finish when I have a job and saved up enough money to afford it. My mom has been helping me find one, so I hope I can find something soon. I’m so sick of lying around all day with nothing constructive to do. Because of this, don’t expect me to update so much. I hope you can all understand.

I did get a new TV though. It’s my Christmas present. The old one would turn off by itself and the picture quality was bad. I bet it was Ghosty. :iconghostyplz: :paranoid:
I also found this one CD in my mom’s office. I’ve been using it to make some photo manips. So you might see some of those soon. :)

Oh, and one last thing. I’ve seen it before, but I when :iconheartiful: did it, I decided to do it as well. It’s called a “deviantart family.” You know, like your friends will call you your brother, sister, cousin, etc…
I haven’t decided for sure if I want to do it yet, so well see. But who would be interested if I did it? So far, in my DA family I have :iconheartiful: as my niece and :icongfhandelplz: as my husband. =p

In my last journal, I said I finally go my internet working again. Well, guess what? No, the internet provider isn’t being stupid… yet. Well, my air conditioner broke – in the heat of summer… the very next day after I fixed my internet connection. Great. So my mom and I ran around for two days, found a new air conditioner, opened up our dinning room window, shoved into said window, as it sets on top of our broken dish washer. Lovely. :roll: At leas the house is cooler.

Then, on July 30th, Darrell – the dad of two of my cousins Charlie and Tiffany, died. We knew he wasn’t doing very well. When that man doesn’t want to drink his beer, we knew he was very sick, because he loved his beer. And what’s even worse – the funeral was on August 5th; which is my cousin Tiffany’s birthday. What a birthday present!!!! :(

Also, it’s best not to talk about the family reunion I went to from August 6th – 9th. I’m not going to get into talking about THAT mess. -_-

Not only that, but when I came home from that disaster, I found that my beloved kitty Cuddles was very sick. I knew she wasn’t doing very well; she had lost a lot of weight, and a few days before my trip she wasn’t eating. Two of my neighbors, Nick and Margaret, had found her under Nick’s car when he let his dogs out. They both thought she was dead. Well, luckily she was still alive, but only just. She could hardly move, and when she did, it was only to get a little water.

When I woke up on Tuesday morning, the 11th, I found her under my dresser, dead. :tears:

I can still hear her weak and sad meows, they’ll always haunt me. ;_;

What is worse is that I knew she was old – 16, so there was nothing I could do. :(

I’ll make a memorial and put it on DA, so you can all see my pretty kitty before she died. :S

So don’t even ******* ask me about my search for a job or my hopes for college. Don’t start with me! >_<

10 things you should know about me

1. Most people would tell you that I’m shy or even antisocial – and I guess I am. I’ve always had trouble expressing myself verbally to others; the words get stuck, so I much prefer writing a letter because it lets me collect my thoughts. Not only that, but I also have problems pronouncing some words, and I don’t want to sound stupid or uneducated. Besides, I figure if someone really wants to talk to me, they’ll come and find me.

2. I’ve always loved history, even before I started school. I remember wanting to dig up Dinosaur bones and put them together. That eventually led to my love of Egyptology because finding mummies was a lot like finding fossils. Then one thing led to another… :)

3. I would just love to travel the world and see what is out there – maybe even move somewhere else. I have a bad case of wanderlust! :D

4. Before I’ve even started school, I loved to sing. Update: Okay, maybe not yet. She was going to call, but by time we got home from shopping, she didn’t have any energy to call.
She also wanted a copy of her bank statement so she knew how much money they took out so she could ask for a refund, and we didn’t get it yet. So I understand.

So within the next week or so this WILL happen, just not quite yet. Most likely within the next few days though. ^^;

I also want to mention that I won’t be totally without internet access. I could either go to my grandma’s, uncles, dads, or even at the public library or my university. So I may come on every so often and talk when I can. But until I say otherwise, I don’t have access on my own computer. I just thought I should mention that. :)


Original Entry: My mother has told me that tomorrow she is going to call our internet provider and tell them to shove it where the sun doesn’t shine. >_<

So this means I won’t be online for some time again. For how long, I don’t know. Maybe for a few weeks, maybe even over a month. No clue.

I have thought about turning off all my updates, but I wont in the event that my internet provider gets their heads out of their rears and finally allows us access like it should.
I will update this journal if our account finally works; otherwise, consider me taking a kind of “vacation”.

I’m annoyed with all the updates I have to go through. There are always things I have to go through every day… but now there are over two weeks worth!! This is going to take time! I’m sorry about that. :(

Ah… seeing that it’s my account that is the problem and not my PC, my mom is going to cancel our account and switch to… something else. So I may be offline again sometime in the future. I just thought I’d let you all know.

I’ve had a nice day, although somewhat boring, considering that it’s my 21st b-day. No booze or gambling because of my schedule, but it was nice anyway, I’m not complaining. :)

On Friday, my mom, grandmother, uncle and I went out for breakfast. I got a strawberry shake that my mom and uncle kept trying to steal from me. :XD:

After that we all went to grandma’s house to open presents. I got a Barnes and Noble bag that can hold up to 50 pounds :w00t:, some cute stuffed animals, a new wallet, among other things. ^^

We didn’t have cake, because grandma made us a cake the day before and had sent us home with us. But is sure was good! Chocolate and vanilla marble cake. ^_^ Just finished it today. ;)

Today, though, I really couldn’t do too much. See, my mom works weird hours at Wal-Mart, so she is asleep most of the day, and that includes Sunday. But the two of us did go out for breakfast.

After that, we came home and I opened presents! :love: I got some Skittles, Starbucks coffie, clothing, Disney’s Mulan on DVD, a book called “Clues for Real Life: The Wit and Wisdom of Nancy Drew,” and another book called “Contrary {to Popular Belief}” that tells the facts about certain things.
But there is one thing I loved the most. It’s a tanzanite ring! :love: It’s rarer and more valuable than a diamond. I love it!!!! :D
My mom also says that the movies, CD, and scanner that I mentioned in my last journal are also early b-day gifts. ^^

Later today I also spent some time with my dad and step-mom, which was okay. We got some takeout – that one thing from Dominos where it’s like a pizza bowl thing, which was very good. :) He also gave me a card with some money and a religious CD. My church also sends out b-day cards, so he brought that by too. ^^

I also got a few other things, but that’s about it! :D

But I also can’t forget the lovely gifts from people here on DA!

1. I am Bisexual, yet most of my offline friends and family don’t know this. I’m waiting for the right time to tell them.

2. My mom is not sure, but says that one of our ancestors may have been Charles Carol of Carrolton, or at least was a close friend of his. Mr. Carol signed the Declaration of Independence. So that would make me eligible to be a Daughter of the Revolution.

3. I want to get a passport sometime really soon and visit some friends and family overseas. I also want to move to another country as well. ^^

I’m sorry that I’ve been behind on some things here. Well, you see, I haven’t had much energy lately. So what did I do today to celebrate? I watched Handel’s Last Chance, which is a cute show for kids to teach them about classical composers. It’s kind of cute. :)
I also watched Farinelli: Il Castrato on YouTube. It’s about the castrato singer of the same name, and Handel plays a major role in the movie.
I’ve read several books about him I got at the library, and looks on the web for sites about him too. ;)

I don’t know what it is about this time of year, but the transition from winter to spring makes me fell all… happy inside. I mean, yeah winter isn’t over yet, but the last few days have been really nice. I even haven’t been as depressed as before either. So I have to remember that – when depressed: go out for a walk in the nice weather. I can’t do that when there is a snow storm.
And now that I don’t feel quiet as depressed as before, I also feel more self-confident. I hope these good feelings and confidence are able to help me to organize my life better. I do feel up to doing more things, so now is the time to get going while I can. I’m still not exactly what I’m doing with myself, but at least I feel better about myself. For now, anyway.

In other news, some of you may have remembered the required computer class I took last semester. I passed it with a B! :excited: I’m very proud of myself, if you don’t mind me saying so! :D Now if only I can get that good a grade in math! =p

Well, this week, my Aunt Gay and her granddaughter (my cousin) came to visit! :w00t: Last time I saw them was last Valentines Day. I stayed a week up in Montana with them (hence part of the reason why I would like to move there). So it was great to see them! :love:

And not to mention that tomorrow my friend Andrew and his fiancée Heather is getting married! I’m really happy for them! :D

I’ve been thinking about what I should do with myself. I’ve been having a lot of problems finding a job, and not having a job and not being in school makes me feel useless. And for me, feeling useless leads to depression, and other negative feelings. I need something constructive to do with my time. But there is no doubt that I need a job, I can’t really afford to go to school, much less buy a car or a place to live without one.

I’ve been thinking about moving to Montana. I know it’s not like Hawaii or anything, but I have relatives in Montana, and I’ve stayed with them for about a week last year, so I know the town. There is a college right there I could go to, and my family could help me with anything if I needed it. It’s not a sure thing yet, but if I do move to Montana, it won’t be anytime soon, that much I know. It’s just an idea.

A very close and dear friend of mine, Heather, is moving to Kentucky so she can go to a private Seventh-day Adventist college there. She gave be a book of quotes from the Bible and said she on days she feels week, she writes down a passage on an index card to carry with her that day, and when she is not doing well, she reads the card and it helps. She is so sweet! :heart:

I want to go to London so badly!!! I really want to do something… Sadly I don’t think I can. :(

I can tell this is going to be a depressing year. It has to be depressing if I start out watching ways of torture in history. *sigh* Maybe next year I can afford to go to Germany to celebrate his 325 birthday on February 23. I hope so… Besides, celebrating his birthday is more happy than celebrating the day he died anytime, right?

Anyway, no more of that sadness! I do hope everyone has a great year and has also had a great holiday! :D

Hey everyone. Sorry for all of the journal updates, I like spacing them apart and not updating as much so I won’t “spam” people, and for that I apologize, but there are a couple of things I want to talk about so I figured I might as well make another quick journal.

First of all, I want to thank :iconmayte: for her lovely picture she drew me. It’s a sketch of my character Isabella [link] It’s so lovely! :heart: Thank you! :D

Secondly, I have a couple of drawings and pictures I wanted to upload today, but I’m afraid they will have to wait. See, I don’t have a scanner, because the one I got for Christmas last year was stupid. So I have to go to school to do those things, which can be a real pain in the butt. -_-
So anyway, I was going to go to school today, but I had… um, bathroom problems this morning… VM my grandmother calls it. :blushes:
So those will have to wait for another time, sorry to the people who I promised things for.

Alright, Freya, are you reading this? You better be! I got an idea!

We got ourselves two awesome stories we are writing, and I was thinking on ways to tell them apart. First of all, I was thinking we should say who is writing the part of the story at the beginning of the title, Freya for you and Isabella for me.
We also need a short title for each of them so we know which story we are talking about. For the Trans-Siberian Orchestra story, I was thinking about abbreviating to TSO, so we know it stands for the Trans-Siberian Orchestra. And with the other story with our composers, I was just thinking about calling it George and Antonio, so we know it the story about those two. If you have another idea, that’s okay. It’s just to tell the stories apart anyway.
Also, we should say what part or “chapter” of the story it is. Something like part 1, part 2, part 3 … and so on.

For instance, because it’s my turn on both stories, I would put something like “Isabella: TSO pt 2” on the Trans-Siberian Orchestra story and “Isabella: George and Antonio pt 14” on the story about George and Antonio. I think its part 14, I had to count. Correct me if I’m wrong. ;)
So on your turn, Freya, you would title it “Freya: TSO pt 3” on the Trans-Siberian Orchestra story and “Freya: George and Antonio pt 15” on the other.

I was just brainstorming about how to tell them apart. Any other ideas? It doesn’t have to be an award winning bestseller title or anything, just short and to the point.

My surgery went very well and the doctor was very kind. I had mentioned before that I would have my wisdom teeth removed, as well as one other removed and replaced with a silver one. Well, that is almost true, I did not have the one replaced, due to the fact that the doctor didn’t think it was necessary, nor could I afford it at this time. So instead of a silver tooth, it’s just an empty socket, which is just fine with me. I’m just so glad it doesn’t hurt anymore.

The shots that were used to put my mouth to sleep hurt like… wow. :( I’m sure some of you know what I mean. :tears: I even cried tears because it hurt so much. :crying: Also, two of the teeth broke apart in my mouth when the doctor was extracting them. When the surgery was over and the doctor went to get my mom, I reached up and felt my face. I thought to myself “what the heck is wrong with my face?!” It was so swollen and it tingled/hurt quite a bit. My mom had said that I looked like I gained 50 pounds and it went all to my face, and I felt like it too.

Later on, when my mom and I were on our way home, I began to slobber all over my shirt and it had a lot of blood in it. Eventually, later that night, it finally stopped. I have spent the last two days on the couch, taking pills, sleeping, with an ice pack, watching TV, and eating the good stuff. You know: ice cream, sherbet, apple sauce, soup, and pudding. Yummy! :D

I still feel a bit sore, tired, and dizzy, and there is still a little bit of discomfort, but I am a lot better now. :)

I also had :iconhistoryknightls: tell me if faving journals were an option, she would have faved that one. :wow: I’m flattered! :D I feel really encouraged, so I will be making a few changes to it so it looks more like a proper news article, you know, professional, my journal was more fangirlish. But eventually I will be doing that soon! ;p After my surgery, though. :)

In other news, I would also like to remind people to vote, if they are American citizens and 18+ years old, if not in early voting, then at least by the fourth of November. I already voted in early voting. I’m not promoting a candidate, just vote because I’m tired of this scenario:

Person: I’m tired of the President/Congressman/Mayor/Other Person in Office not doing what we tell them to do! Whey the heck did they win, anyway?!?!?
Me: Did you vote?
Person: … no …
Me: Then why are you complaining?
Person: … … …
Me: Exactly, that’s what I thought.

As my mom always says, if people don’t vote, they shouldn’t have the right to complain. Of course, if someone is not old enough to vote or is not a citizen or something like that, I can understand, they are an exception, but people who are able to vote and don’t, well, what can I say?

I’m not trying to be patriotic or anything, but as long as I am an American citizen, I’ll do what I was raised to do. All other Americans should too.

Well, that’s it for now. I’ll let you know how things turn out with my surgery tomorrow. I’m sure I’ll be fine, the doctor is nice. :)

I originally wanted to put this in my gallery, but I didn’t want to confuse people and have them think it was a term paper or something, seeing as I copied and pasted a few things. ^^; I also thought of putting it in the journal at my club, but it would take up too much room.
So I’ve decided to dedicated this journal to the Bio and then add a link to the club’s journal later.

They are both filled with info, go check them out! Some things I copied and pasted, but you know, whatever. It would be different if I was turning this in for a term paper or having it published and claming it as my own, but I’m not. This is just for information and fun. Now this is no dissertation, it’s just an overview, but hopefully you’ll learn something. :)

Handel’s Life:

Georg Friederich Händel was born into a Lutheran family in Halle, a small town in Saxony-Anhalt, a region in Germany on the 23rd of February, 1685. Unlike the fathers other young musicians such as Bach, Mozart, and Beethoven, Handel’s father, who was a barber-surgeon, wanted his son to be a lawyer, and was full-heartedly against his son studying music. Believing that music was a foolish and unpractical way to make a living, as well as a waste of time, Handel Sr. did everything in his power to “stamp out” any love of music his son had.
When he was eight years old, little Handel went with his father to visit his half brother, who worked for the Duke as a valet at the Saxon court at Weissenfels. When the Duke heard Handel playing the organ, he was so impressed with his skill that he ordered Handel Sr. to have his son properly tutored in music, a fact that he reluctantly agreed too.
When his father died when he was twelve, Handel felt a sense of duty of his father, and now being the man of the house, started to study law to be a lawyer. He eventually gave up law and pursued music. At the age of seventeen he began to travel throughout Europe to study music.
Eventually he settled in England and in 1727 he became a British citizen. As a British citizen, he changed his name to the more English sounding George Frideric Handel. He also had to be a practicing member of the Anglican Church. It was around this time that he gained weight, even though at first, he could not stomach British food and much preferred German food and beer.
Throughout his life, Handel’s finances, popularity, and health fluctuated. With rival opera companies, fights breaking out on stage, the English not caring for opera, and enemies giving him bad press, his popularity had seen some real lows, and with that, so did his finances. There was a point were without the success of his Messiah, he would have gone to debtors prison.
He also had his health problems. In 1737 he had a stroke that lead to the left side of his body paralyzed, although he was able to recover. On one particular trip to Holland in 1750, he was in a carriage accident and seriously injured. In his later years he had developed cataracts and started going blind. After a failed eye surgery, he eventually went completely blind.
Despite all this he lived a very successful, happy, and fulfilling life. His finances were in order when he died, and was even considerably wealthy, having several servants. Many of his symphonies, operas, cantatas, oratorios, and other works were successful and he had many good, loyal friends in many places and enjoyed a great deal of popularity.
He died on April 14, 1759 in London, England at the age of 74.

- A friend of Handel’s, Charles Burney, described Handel in this way: “The figure of Handel was large, and he was somewhat corpulent, and unwieldy in his motion; but his countenance, which I remember as perfectly as that of any man I saw but yesterday, was full of ire and dignity; and such as impressed ideas of superiority and genius. He was impetuous, rough, and peremptory in his manners and conversations, but totally devoid of ill-nature or malevolence.”

Oh well…

Well, class is technically over, but I got some things turned back too me that I’m working on, so I hope I pass! I honestly hated this class, so far it’s one of the most pointless classes I’ve taken in college. I either already learned this stuff in another class or I was so confused that it would be such a blessing if I get an A. I don’t want to retake the class! Man, I need more than luck, I need a miracle…

I know I promised I’d do a Bio on Handel, and I will. But it will take a while for me to post it up, with schoolwork, early voting, and the surgery I’m having next week, it might be some time before I put it up. Sorry about that.

I still don’t feel so well. I’m not quite sure what it is. I still have a headache, but not as bad, but my coughing has become worse. I even sneeze once in a while. Sometimes I get this strange tingly feeling between my stomach and breasts. Also, when I lay on my stomach, it squishes my insides and then I have to go to the bathroom. No clue what it is.

Today I went to Wal-Mart with my mom and we bought Poltergeist for $9. It’s a classic. If you are a Poltergeist fan but don’t have it on DVD, go out to Wal-Mart and buy it, Edgar Allan Poe commands you. I also got a little skeleton dude. My mom says he is my son. =p I named him Fred. :lol:

School has been alright. It’s over on the 16, so I’m excited about that. Also, on the 30th (of October), I’ll be going to the dentist to have my wisdom teeth removed and one other tooth removed and replaced with a silver tooth. Finally, after a year of pain I can get it over with! :w00t:

Sadly though I can’t go trick-or-treating this year because I do have to recover from the dentist. But heck, I don’t mind as long as I deal with my teeth. It will be worth it. Besides, I can stay home and watch scary movies! :boogie: Maybe I can still go to the schools Halloween dance. I will just have to wait and see how it works out, with me still sick and all. If I can make it, I’ll be going as Benjamin Franklin! Why Franklin you ask? Because I have a Ben Franklin wig, a cane, and decent clothing that will help me pull it off (hopefully). As I said, we will see.

Well everyone, on Monday the 22nd it will be officially autumn.

Autumn is okay, but it reminds me that winter is coming soon, and I despise winter. But if it was up to me it would be spring all the time. One day when I have enough money, I’ll move to a place where it’s warm all the time, like Hawaii. Warm weather, beautiful nature and animals, cool people, history, surfing, the hula, volcanoes, what more could I ask for? Hmm… where is my list… :XD:

It’s strange though because where I live it feels like summer, almost like the begging of August or something, not the middle of September. So that’s awesome (for me anyway). Also in about a month the school term is over. :w00t: I feel sorry for people who go longer. ^^

Now, I’ve got some news to tell you guys. Apparently, I now have a boyfriend. :dance: Now, before you congratulate me on having my first boyfriend, let me tell you the story of how this happened.

About a week ago, I went to my friends house to hang out and stuff. Not long after I got there, her brother came in. We talked for some time, until her brother randomly said to me, “I really like you. Do you want to be my girlfriend?” Now, here is the kicker: he is five years old!!! :rofl:

OMG! That was one of the cutest things I’ve seen in a long time! :laughing: I don’t know what to do: laugh because of how cute it is, or cry because the first guy who had ever asked me out is five! If only he was fifteen years older, I’d totally go out with him! :XD: Okay, maybe not, but you get the idea. :)

Although I got to say that I’m not much into relationships, I’m more of a “I’m going to conquer the world by myself” kind of gal. There are so many reasons why I believe being single kicks ass. :XD: Of course there is always Handel… (What’s worse, a five year old boyfriend, or a boyfriend who has been dead for hundreds of years? :lol: Wait, don’t answer that! :D )

Anyway, the point is that my “boyfriend” is five years old. He is the best boyfriend I could ever ask for; you guys could learn a few things from him. =p

As I had said before, for now I’m taking a required computer course called Information Navigator. It’s one of those classes I wouldn’t take if I didn’t need to, but as far as I know it will be somewhat easy. All it is about is learning how to do research on computers properly and not to plagiarize and all that fun stuff. The teacher seems nice too, so even better. ;)

It’s also a short class, it will last from today until October 16. Most classes here go on to the middle of December, so yay! :dance:

I am also studding math in my free time. I would like to get a higher grade to the placement test so I don’t need to take so many math classes. With luck and a lot of studying, I’ll only need to take one math class so I’m hoping!

I also have a question for all of you who are in college, ever been to college, or graduated from college: Would it be possible to Major in History and Minor in Music? Is that a good or is that too weird of an idea? I want to know what you guys think or if you have suggestions (nice suggestions though!) I might not necessarily do that but I was just wondering.

Later on in my school career, after I do the required classes of course, I may also take a particular music class. It’s a Chamber Choir. So, well see how that works out. ^_^

I’m still working on some stuff for here too, but because of school I won’t have quite as much time. Luckily I have more time because I have only one class. :aww:

I also hope to apply and get a job at Barnes and Noble, so wish me luck on that! I’ll be applying for a job there soon. ^^

Well, my foot is better. It was sore for about three days, so, you know, not too bad. *lol* But after my foot stopped hurting, I had too walk up a steep hill to get to my school because the bus doesn’t go up there do to the fact that they are working on the rode and it’s all torn apart. So now my other foot is sore do to walking so much on such a steep hill. -_-

I may have to drop one of my classes, most likely my history class because the books cost a lot of money (it sucks to be poor) and I have yet to find a job. Oh well. At least there is a chance at being placed in a higher math class. I hope when I take the placement test again I do much better. I don’t want to take three math classes I don’t need and won’t even get credit for.

But things aren’t all bad. I went to a program at my church last week and I got the chance meet the new pastor. He dose NOT look like a pastor! He looks like a surfer of something. He had on black shorts and a tank top and looked like he spent the day tanning. He didn’t sound like one either. At least there is another reason of teenaged girls (or any girl for that matter) to go to church! *lol* I had a fun time too. I saw one of my old friends who is about ten years older than me. I nearly fainted when I saw I was taller that her! :XD:

My uncle had made some updates on my computer, as well as updating my internet connection. I’m still getting use to it but it’s cool.

I signed up for a couple classes for college yesterday too. Hopefully, do to some personal stuff, it will work out. I’m allowed to take only two because my finical aid allows me to take only two classes at a time. Both classes are required to graduate, regardless of what people decide to major in. One is a history class, American Civilization , and the other, a computer class, Information Navigator . After that, all I need is another computer class and my math classes (don’t even get me started on my math classes!)

Aside from that, I will also need a Diversity Requirement (3 credit hours) and the Breadth Requirement. I’m not going to go into that, but I’ll just say I need to pick about three classes from a particular group of classes (Creative Arts, Social Science, or Physical/Life Science). Because I plan on going into History, my guidance counselor suggested I take the three classes from the Social Science group.
I also need to talk of the finical aid adviser too.

Well, that’s all I know for now. I’m going to make George massage my foot! *lol* There are those who know who I mean. :XD: ;)

Historical Figure Chosen: George F. Handel

1.) Handel was the son of a barber-surgeon. His father was against him learning music, wanting him to learn a more lucrative trade, particularly Law. Handel went to a university to become a lawyer to please his father, but he never finished and eventually pursued music.

2.) Handel was very irritable and easily annoyed. A perfectionist, he was known to throw tantrums and be very insulting. But he never held a grudge and could be very gentle.

3.) He knew several languages including German, French, Italian, and English. He spoke with a heavy accent, and only got worse when he was flustered.

4.) Some say Handel was a homosexual or asexual. His very few romances never lasted long and he showed little if any interest in marriage. But there is no proof that he ever had an interest or a romance with another man.

5.) Although not nearly as religious as Bach, Handel was very devout, even though no one is certain what religion he was, or if he even belonged to one.

6.) He gave a lot of his money to friends and charities. His gave to orphanages and the Foundling Hospital in London.

I got many other lovely gifts as well! I also went a book sale at a library near my home and got some good books too. Most of them are by R.L. Stine. I also go two classical CD’s. And of course I had a really yummy red velvet b-day cake! :cake: Great day! :)

I was able to see my cousin for a few minutes before she had to go home. She had just bought a new Mustang, it was pretty awesome! I also met her new boyfriend, Adam, believe. He looks so much like her old boyfriend I confused them. So I’m glad I got to see her. :)

I also decided not to work at Yellowstone like I said I would. Some things came up so I can’t do it this year. But I do hope I get a chance to work there some time. I may work with my mom at Wal-Mart (I know, exciting huh?) Well see how it works out.

My cousin also recently lost her one of her aunts, so she will be coming down with her boyfriend for the funeral this week. :( At least we get too see each other, she lives in Los Vegas, I in Northern Utah, so we don’t see each other very much, maybe once or twice a year. So there is some good out of that.

Oh, and I almost forgot, my other cousin had a baby last week! A very healthy baby boy! Awww… he is so cute! His name is Tyler. She lives in Arizona, so I don’t see her much either. But the pictures she sent are so cute! ^-^ I hope his big brother doesn’t get jealous! :D
