So here's what I've been up to lately.... Level99 Games BattleCON cards, finishing up the Hirajeta Tarot set, and hammering out album art for Seattle band "The Mothership". I have some more private commissions lined up as soon as I'm done with this and to be honest it's pretty damn awesome. Hey everyone, today's my birthday and it to be honest it could only be celebrated over the course of a few days. I had a nice 3 day weekend, I finished some artwerk. I got to catch another knife&gunshow and rollerderby. Met up with friends and got presents not just today but over many days leading up to this point. OK, this weekend pretty much rocked on all levels. First off, the big bad storm that pushed through on Saturday super flooded the park behind the Library where Librari-con 2 was being held. Staying professional, I went anyway to sell and show what I could, to anyone braving the weather. Thankfully though, It cleared up big time before noon and the masses moved in. Well as I said in my scathing critique of the Joker, I had an awesome time in San Diego. Comic Con was am event that showed Art at it's finest and humanity at it's worst. Imagine being crammed in an airport for the holidays but with the coolest shit ever all around you. It's Freedom Day! Well techinically tommorrow is and this will most likely be last update until August. First off, thanks for the FAVS and comments from all of you and I'll do my best to keep you coming back. I made it back from Animazement 2008 alive and quite a bit richer! A good friend and compatriot in arms, R. Andrews went to Durham not sure what to expect. I've been to cons before but not running a table and not for 3 days in a row. It was the Fayetteville Rogue Rollergirls (GO ROGUE!) vs Eastern NC's Ring City Rollers. And I must say, the ladies were there in spades! I saw a rollergirl get an elbow to the throat (an illegal move but it happens) and another break her leg! Pretty horrifying I know, but to set up a pretty good analogy, it's like watching Nascar except all the cars are changed out with ladies in stockings and skates. It's much shorter, so there's no chance for you to get bored, and there are wrecks every few minutes or so.
