Yes, yes I'm back ;) Due to a clever, last minute offer I was spending the end of September about 1500 miles from my home, on a beautiful Greek island - Crete. It was a fantastic extension to my holidays and a great occasion to REALLY relax and take a deep breath before the season of hard work. Now, when I'm back to my "45 F degrees and blazing, cold winds behind the window" reality, sure it feels comfortable to sit in my quite, cozy room with a fresh head and holidays pictures laying around the desk.

What a great evening it was! Meeting with all of you, fellow deviants was real pleasure and a very stimulating experience. You managed to create an outstanding atmosphere, full of positive energy, joy and good intentions. I was pretty amazed by the fact how many of us came to the meeting. You really astonish me people!

Younger deviants were definitely having a real blast, getting a chance to meet each other, they were running like crazy and jumping into the fountains :D Others, little jealous about their energy (:lol:) focused more on discussing with $spyed and $Heidi about the direction in which dA is heading right now and plans for the future of this community. Speaking of which, we now know that dA staff is bringing a lot of new features to the site. Just giving some cliff notes:

+ Special portfolio for every artist! It's gonna work more or less like a real one, mixing dA gallery capabilities with an external service independence.
+ Groups! Something like clubs, which work since a very long time here, but now it's gonna be much better organised and administrated. The goal is to make more communities inside the bigger one and since dA grew quite a lot, there's a great need to make it more comfortable place and give every deviant a chance for more feedback.
+ More advanced search engin!

Last friday, after a long struggle with cancer disease, my father has died. I'm not usually very into flooding internet space with my own problems and dilemmas but this time I really feel very bad and kinda "stuck". Even though I knew that one day it's gonna end like this, but... You can't really prepare yourself for this. My dad was a brave, strong man, fighting for his life to the end. I miss him so fuckn' much. Well... life.

I'll get back to you in some time, I guess. I just need few more days to pick myself from the floor and start living again. It will be damn hard, I know this, but what else can I do.

Yes, an update! Let me grumble for a second... please? :D

I'd love to tell you about some interesting places I've recently been or about the tons of great pictures I've taken lately. I'd really like to do it, believe me... But I won't, cause it's not true.

I'm pretty bad at managing my own time right now. There are always those "important" things to do, all those tiny task and assignments which consume your life. Of course, some people enjoy it. My colleagues and co-workers seem to enjoy sitting for 10 hours in front of their office desks, returning home by 7-8pm...

And because I'm a very immature, twenty-three year'old person - I don't buy this shit.

Yeah I know, there's this Crisis out there and people should be really happy to have any job right now or some money, still left on their bank account. Yes, but I constantly feel tired...

And that's why I've planned a "photo day" :D I hope this Saturday to be "gunny oriented" and will allow me to go out with my camera and take some really cool shots ^^ Wish me luck :)

It's about time for some little update!

First of all, forgive me (again) for not responding to all the comments and messages from You dear friends, it's just that, the last few weeks were very intense for me (here, I'd like to thank my boss for pushing the limits and bitching about everything...). Time is passing by with a speed of the light here and it's pretty hard to fit the schedule. Plus, Christmas is comming and I haven't even thought about the presents yet :/ Anyway...

I've been doing lots of concert photography lately... (yeah! :D) It's just my good friend had an opportunity to play few gigs with his band and I was sort off, "helping them" by dealing with all the gear and transport thing. So... there will be some updates soon, maybe even today :)

And the last thing is... well here it is:



my new SLR from like.. the '70s or maybe '80s? :D I put a b&w film into it and equipt with one of my lenses. Why do I need it you ask? Well... I dunno, but it was a bargain :D

YEAH! Finally! After more than a month of research, asking many people and "google'ing" all the possible sites... I bought myself a first DSLR! :D

I've choosen a Pentax k200d. It's a sweet little camera and after shooting some photos I can only say I'm absolutely amazed (jaw laying on the floor) by the quality of the images I got from it. Check my newest deviation if you don't believe ^^

Now I'll try to jump into that "RAW mode" world... Won't be easy, but I just need to try :P

Well, I remember mah friend when one day he came to the school with his electric guitar, just to play some stuff, I don't remember why... Anyway he played Satriani's "Always with me, always with you". Today, with my own, acoustic guitar, I've learned few notes from this songs... the most beautiful notes I've ever heard, and I thought: art is immortal. No, I haven't thought that, I FELT that, the first time... and it's fantastic...

The Clerk fumbles his wallet out of his pocket and Tyler snatches it. Tyler pulls out the DRIVER'S LICENCE.

TYLER:Raymond K. Hessel. 1320 SE Benning, apartment A. A small, cramped basement apartment.
RAYMOND:How'd you know?
TYLER:They give shitty basement apartments letters instead of numbers. Raymond, you're going to die.

Tyler rummages through the wallet.

TYLER:Is this a picture of Mom and Dad?
RAYMOND:Yesssss...
TYLER:Your mom and dad will have to call kindly doctor so-and-so to dig up your dental records, because there won't be much left of your face.
RAYMOND: Please, God, no...

Raymond begins to weep, shoulders heaving.

JACK:Tyler...
TYLER:An expired community college student ID card. What did you used to study, Raymond K. Hessel?
RAYMOND:S-S-Stuff.
TYLER:"Stuff." Were the mid-terms hard?

Tyler rams the gun barrel against Raymond's temple.

TYLER:I asked you what you studied.
JACK:Tell him!
RAYMOND:Biology, mostly.
TYLER:Why?
RAYMOND:I... I don't know...
TYLER:What did you want to be, Raymond K. Hessel?

Raymond weeps and says nothing. Tyler COCKS the gun. Raymond GASPS.

TYLER:The question, Raymond, was "what did you want to be?"
JACK:Answer him!
RAYMOND:A veterinarian!
TYLER:Animals.
RAYMOND:Yeah ... animals and s-s-s ---
TYLER:Stuff. That means you have to get more schooling.
RAYMOND:Too much school.

Tyler shoves Raymond's wallet back into Raymond's pocket.

TYLER:Would you rather be dead?
RAYMOND:No, please, no, God, no!

Tyler moves the gun right between Raymond's eyes.

RAYMOND:NOOOOO!

Tyler UNCOCKS the gun, lowers it.

TYLER:I'm keeping your license. I know where you live. I'm going to check on you. If you aren't back in school and on your way to being a veterinarian in six weeks, you will be dead. Get the hell out of here.

Raymond staggers to his feet, heads down an alleyway. Jack and Tyler watch Raymond flee, then Tyler looks at Jack.

JACK:I feel sick.
TYLER:Imagine how he feels.

Tyler brings the gun to his own head, pulls the trigger -- CLICK. Empty.

JACK:I don't care, that was horrible.
TYLER:Tomorrow will be the most beautiful day of Raymond K. Hessell's life. His breakfast will taste better than any meal he has ever eaten...
