The first set which is actually Part I of the project is of San Bruno National Cemetery.

Let's see what this muse can do...

Yep. that's me. I've been wandering around, being pulled in a myriad of directions. I've had inspiration a plenty, but not the energy nor will to do anything about it. Long story short, between the pity party for myself and all the things I have to take care of...life pushed all my fun and relaxation to the side.
But! I am slowly making my way back...I have a few things I think I am ready to share...

I've missed you all. Very much.

Avast ye scurvy worm ridden land bastids! Today be talk like a pirate day! *cough* Oh the silver screen drama... Heh heh.

Anyhow, in honor of the day, I started thinking about rum. (what else is new? As if I need a day declared to rationalize this...) I was thinking about rum, and the fact that even though it may be 5 o' the clock SOMEWHERE, it was not even past breakfast HERE.

My train of thought was chugging away as usual, and as usual when I am beginning to think about a new piece of art or writing I begin to mutter 'Hamlet's Soliloquy'. One thing led to another and I came up with a fabulous shot of rum goodness, named....HAMLET'S SOLILOQUY. Yes yes. I KNOW it is talk like a pirate day, but really. How cliche ...rum...pirates? Ha ha ha ha! Besides...it's in a shot and I can turn it into a drinking game involving the lines.

So, in honor of 'Talk Like a Pirate Day', My deviations today include a short bit of advice and a Eulogy of sorts. And a fabulous invention that sounds good in theory, but may be simply rancid and horrific in practice. I'll let you know as soon as I try it. I need to replenish one of the ingredients. Why are you looking at me like that? It may or may not be rum...maybe.

...BUT I AM DONE! ( Mostly anyhow.) Over 100 pulled apart, dyed within inches of their existence, put back together, glued onto hairclips (and some sprayed with glitter) Silk flowers later, and I AM DONE! I quickly came to the sad realization early on that I was sadly lacking int he tigerlily inventory, but I AM DONE. DONE I SAY.

OK, I MAY make a few more tiger-lilies tomorrow because I am particular that way.

For those that are curious...
[link]

Now, I must paint the Virgens! (ROFL) I just wanted to say that. I still have to finish painting the Lady of Guadalupe statuettes and Dashboard Madonnas though. At least of the 5 statuettes, 4 have minor details, and only 1 needs to be completely done. The rest are quickly done, so I can do that tomorrow in between setting up the booth and Tommy Bahama/Captain Morgan/Southern Comfort and Coke time. (I haven't decided which one I will have yet...no I will not be drinking ALL of them. Sheesh. I have to save room for my McDonalds Sundaes and FrenchFries. Thank the stars my hotel is within toddling distance from the Golden Arches.)

Wish me luck. I want to sell ALL of my inventory.

OH! And the first round of body filler is slapped onto the Panel! No more Frankenstein-ish lines and welds with bare metal anymore! Next step fine smoothing the Bondo then PAINT! Whoooo hoo! The Beast will be one color again, and I'll be a happy girl.

You can't see me, but I assure you, that I *AM* doing the Snoopy Dance right now! Yeee-haaa!!

...else, and NOT what is supposed to be painted. I am supposed to be dying silk flowers, and I am dying everything else instead. Myself included. I have 2 meager days to put together some hair-clips for Billetproof this weekend. (I have a booth). AND I have some statuettes to finish painting. Virgen de Guadalupe anyone?

Soooo. Here's hoping I finish all the special requests. Back to my tiger-lilies and orchids.
