I'm not saying I'm not stoked to get out of this school, but it's like, when did this happen? I've already got my college plans laid out. Dude, I'm going to have to leave home. I'm one of those odd teenagers who still has a really good relationship with their parents. I can't afford full blown college yet, cause by the time I get there, we'll probably have two other kids already in. Scholarships are certainly an option, which I will definitely be applying for, but I think I'd only have a shot at art scholarships, which aren't too plenty in the midwest. My mom works for Ivy Tech, so if I go there to start I get in for free. But money isn't my main concern then, it's the distance from home. I want to be near my dream college, but I'm going to miss my parents like hell, mainly my mom. I'm not saying I want them to take care of me; I've been taking care of myself since I was little when my parents were chasing after my brothers. I just really, really love my parents.
The whole 'You'll never see these people after you graduate' thing has sunk in, too. I didn't believe it before, but now it makes sense. Left and right my friends are getting accepted to places so far away, and I know they'll start laying down the foundations for their own lives when they leave. There are so many people I want to know for a long time, and I don't know how long that'll last.
I don't know. I'm 17 and already freaking out about getting old. I know it's not an instant thing, but I still feel like it's being pushed on me too fast. I'm not going to fight it, cause there's no way to and no point. I know it's going to come, and it just feels like big changes coming on too quickly. I always look to the positive side, and I know there are plenty in the future, but what do I do if I like how it is now? There are so many good things to come, but yet so many bad possibilities too. Gawd, maybe I'm freaking out for no good reason.
Now I'm going to take this journal in a polar opposite direction.
It's such a good time to be alive.
There's no drama in the class when everyone just stops caring with Senioritis. People aren't freaking out as much when they find out colleges don't actually care about your grades in senior year. I'm getting to know such great people, and for the past 4 months my life is just kind of going in such a weird and positive direction that I never knew about. Having a boyfriend is just so much more different than I ever thought it would be. So is being in love. Yeah, yeah, I'm one of those lovestruck teenagers. Don't rain on my parade, Debbie Downer. I've barely been drawing cause for once I've got something bigger on my mind. It didn't bother me at first, but when I try to draw it looks all weird and I think people on dA are probably wondering why I never update. It just feels so crazy to have such a connection with just one person. And to have someone who doesn't mind telling me out of the blue how much I mean to him when I don't feel like I've done anything at all. Or how just an innocent scratch of his arm or back or stroke of the cheek drives him nuts (it's pretty funny to watch, actually). I never knew what I wanted in a guy before, but he works. I wasn't even looking. Relationships in high school seemed kind of pointless, cause they so rarely ever work out for that long. KDJKGJFKGHf. He's just so great. And I tell him this quite frequently, but he always seems to deny it.
ANYWAYS. On a slightly lighter note? Getting my braces off within the next month or so. I stole Blake's (my boyfriend) coat, and I swear to jeebus, it's so comfortable. Fleece lined, baby. I found my learner's permit! It went missing for a few weeks. Slowly re-learning how to play piano.

At first this didn't worry me. Last year for prom there was a special needs kid who had dreamed about becoming Prom King. His heart was completely set on it, so everyone voted for him to win Prom King. She's a very pretty and sweet girl, but I didn't think the frosh were doing this for her benefit, since I know the mentality of freshman boys all too well. I was ticked, but I know it happens. I'm not saying she's a special needs kid, but you know where I'm coming from.
Then I learned that as she's being walked onto the field at the game, the freshman were going to overtake the juniors' section of the bleachers and throw food at her.
Um. I'm sorry, WHAT THE F#CK, PEOPLE?!
This whole thing spread through the school like wildfire and the entire school is COMPLETELY PISSED OFF. I aid for a freshman English class 5th period so I asked the teacher to let me get on my soap box and tell them that the administration is going to be the LEAST of their worries if they even think about it. Not all of the frosh even knew about it, and I'm not saying they all are responsible. But I know it was a group of kids that have been doing stuff like this for quite a while, and they had to get the support to pull this off somehow. We're having a pep rally tomorrow and when they point the spirit stick (we've got this thing where someone points the spirit stick to a class they yell as loud as they can and whoever yells loudest gets it), the seniors (and probably some of the underclassman as well) are going to boo them out. Seniors have volunteered to form a group around her as she's being walked out onto the field. More seniors are going to line up all around the bleachers and make sure no one even so much as REACHES for anything. Quite a few other seniors have volunteered to bash some faces in if anything slips past us. I'm planning on being with the group around my bleachers. I was planning on seeing Zombieland with my boyfriend tomorrow cause I haven't seen him since Saturday and I miss him like hell, but I think I'm going to have to go out for this instead. I'm just not going to stand by and let this happen. I'm just so proud of my entire class of 300+ people banding together for this one girl and the greater good. We're not going to let this happen.
EDIT
So I learned today that the girl found out what was going on. She'd left the school, and I don't know if that means she's transferring out or if she's coming back. So she's not going to the football game. This pissed me off even more because this whole ordeal is hurting her THAT much. Then I heard that the Freshman weren't intimidated by our plans (which I KNOW they heard of) so they were going to throw food at her at the dance later. I got so angry I couldn't eat, and I just really hope she knows the overwhelming support the rest of the school had for her. If she'd bullied and bothered by all of this that much, maybe it's a good idea for her to leave. I just really hope she knew we were going to stand with her.
We had a pep rally today and the entire senior class booed the freshman out, which was REALLY satisfying. The principal points the spirit stick to a grade, then goes back and forth between the loudest, and he gave up on the freshman because we were drowning them out. It was SO satisfying! When I was walking out I kept hearing 'Man, the whole school REALLY hates us!', and I think they were considerably rattled. Some were pissed about it, but I'd love to see them try to do something about it.

The homework load hasn't been bad so far. I think my main worries are electronic music (I used to be able to read and play music, now I can't) and economics. I'm sure I could pick up electronic music pretty quickly, and for econ I'm writing thorough notes over all the sections each night, which helps considerably. My AP 2D art course is going a lot better than I thought it would. The teacher lets us do our own thing, and when I was starting to lose enthusiasm and got stuck with my first project, she gave me a lot of helpful critique that got me pumped for it again. She also suggested I try making model maquettes to help me with lighting effects on figures.
And the Freshman. Sweet jeebus. There's a whole mob of goths/emos/scene kids and slutty looking girls that have invaded that I KNOW were not here before. I aid in my study hall for my old English teacher who went from teaching juniors to frosh, and holy crap. They're so immature, I can't believe it. I've met two frosh in my Intro to 3D class that are pretty cool. One's deaf, but he's got a hearing aid in, so I'm not sure what that makes him. The teacher for that class said he was deaf and wanted me to buddy up with him since he was into art as well. His speech is kind of hard to understand and he was pretty quite up until recently when asked if we knew someone who could get him a fake ID to go up to a meth lab that is apparently up in Chicago. 1) He's an idiot for wanting to try meth, 2) Indiana is pure cornfields...the meth is HERE, not Chicago, 3) He thinks meth is legal if you're above a certain age. But I dunno. It was pretty obvious he had NO clue about what he was talking about and was trying to show off. I started laughing at him and he hasn't brought it up since. Also saw a little bitty frosh on the verge of getting the snot beaten out of him by a bigger frosh the other day, which was cool. And I met another Ginga fan! I never thought that would happen!

The prices on stuff were amazing,I brought about $60 with me and pretty much only spent $8 on 4 things. But holy crap, I am pooped. I am chillaxing in my favorite PJs at the moment. The anime artists' tables were better than they were then the past years, which was nice. They had a bunch of great artists who were offering cheap commissions, so I bought an inked commission from ~KeiCaiAyan. I met up with some friends that did a Kingdom Hearts 2 cosplay who are apart of my school's anime and manga club and they memorize Jpop songs and perform them in front of weird places, which got a lot of attention from random passerbys. I got videos of those dances that I'll put up on youtube later.
School starts on Monday :/ I think if I didn't have my 2D summer homework to finish I might be excited. But oh man, I'm a senior! When did that happen?! Seriously! My brother (I have three older ones; this is the youngest of them) is now a freshman in college, and my parents moved him down to his apartment a week early. I'm really going to miss him :/ We don't talk much, but I always knew someone was going to be in the house with me when I got home, which was comforting. Now I'm going to hold down the fort all on my own. But at least his friends will stop calling the house every 5 minutes, which will be fantastic. And I get his car. Holy crap,I have a car. Ok, so I'd consider it more of a boat than a car...'96 Mercury Villager, noobs! Aaand I can't drive it without my parents in it (still have my permit), but still. It is a car nonetheless. I asked my brother to clean it out before he left, but no such luck. It's got a bunch of food wrappers and sweaty rugby clothes inside... I hosed it off and the outside smells like a mixture of gasoline, dog crap, and wet dog. I don't think that's supposed to happen.

It's ending. I think I've got about 3 weeks until school starts. And I'm not tan! This saddens me immensely. I was never really able to fully let go of the thought of school because I have a summer project for the advanced 2D art class I got into, and I've been thinking constantly about the theme I had to come up with. I think I have one, and I'd like some input/ideas on it.
I was struck by how completely different the Disney versions of fairy tales are from the originals, so I think I'd like to do a series of illustrations in the styles of other illustrators or artists of the time when the fairy tale would have taken place or when they were published. If anyone has any ideas on how I could stretch it out more, pleaase let me know. Or just any ideas for anything else.
Anyways. Spent the afternoon and evening with mah boyfriend (ehehehe!) at the 4H county fair. It was the first day, so there wasn't much going on, but I got to pet things Goats tried to eat my clothes. I was in 4H a few years ago, and everything has gotten so small! I guess attendance was just way down this year. The quality of the overall projects just...lacked :/ Aaand one of my friends is moving to Germany in a week, so I'm going to a surprise going away party for her.

Said uncle often invites his family to see early showings of movies that have yet to be released.
In this case, it was the long awaited Half Blood Prince.
Which I at 10 PM tonight; not midnight, like everyone else.
Which meant no waiting in line, no paying for tickets that would probably sell out before you actually got there, no sitting in the theater with rabid fans, no getting crappy seats cause the theater's all filled up, and get this- NO PAYING FOR DRINKS OR FOOD! The theater wasn't having a midnight premier of the movie (not enough people wanted to work it...could you imagine?!), so it was almost abandoned. I was able to get sweet revenge on the movie theater industry. For all the years that they've been charging me an arm and a leg for food and drinks, they let us just go up and take our fill of soda and popcorn! IT FELT SO GOOD. I know it's petty, but I'm not a dastardly person, so it was awesome for me. I also got to see the place where they keep all the projectors and reels and stuff. We were going to go to the midnight release somewhere in Indy with some of his friends, which would be way out of the way for the both of is. But plans fell through for that, and a few phone calls and hours later, I'm sitting with probably 10 people in the entire theater watching Half Blood Prince. IT. WAS. AWESOME. The movie was a little fast and rushed in my opinion, but I know they had to cram in a lot of information and parts in 2 hours and 40 minutes. Which seems like a lot, but there's even more things that need to be explained in the movie.
I'm trying to work my magic and hopefully get to see New Moon early too XD

She starts barking at me if I walk up the stairs (she frequently forgets she knows how to go up stairs) and starts crying if I'm standing more than 10 feet away from her. But it's alright because she watches TV with me. But she starts growling and barking and trying to attack the TV whenever dogs or pandas come on the screen. But she keeps my lap warm.

School's over with in 10 school days, guuuh. I am so ready to be OUT. The video project for one class is going pretty smoothly and I'm lucky to have a good group who pull their own weight. Also, does anyone know how to put a footer on dA journals? I've got one I'd like to add but I don't know how.
Oh, and the computer from the previous journal works, btw XD In case you couldn't tell. It just had 20+ viruses and the computer dude got rid of them and got us a better antivirus program. Not sure why he kept changing his mind on what he thought killed the computer, but I dunno. But my computer is back. And working. Which is all I care about.

Finished one project this week, but we're starting a video project in history. Video projects ALWAYS. go wrong for me. And they're just so much more stressful than it needs to be. But I shall suck it up and be insanely happy when it's over. Then I'll have to start studying for finals. BUT THE END IS NEAR.
I'm actually trying to get a job, haha. I've got restaurants I'm shooting for, and my first choice will email me when they get more applications.

But a word of advice if you think you're going strapless- DON'T. Even if you think your boobage can fill it out and keep it up, IT'S A TRAP. The music wasn't all that great, but overall it was fun. Until my friend's knee popped out (again) and she was dumb and refused to go with the EMTs. But she got home and her knee is fine now. The school had an after prom party, which was INSANE. I literally got lost in my own school. They covered all the walls, doors, and windows up so I couldn't tell where I was. They had a casino kind of dealio to win awesome prizes and they had Twilight playing up in the preforming arts center, which me and my friends made fun of for a decent chunk of the time. Don't get me wrong, I like the series and the movie, but any movie is easy to make fun of. Most of it was just me pointing out random things and shouting 'WHY ARE YOU SO BEAUTIFUL?!' when Rob came on screen, haha. I don't know if I have any full bodied shots of my dress (my dad does on his laptop, I think), but this is the closest I have. ~FoOk-TaRd is on the left and I'm on the right. And this is my hair, in which I pulled out 55 bobby pins when the night was through. And this is the back.
Things are starting to pick up since school is drawing to an end, which sucks. Because it means projects, and I hate projectsaaarrg. There's a new advanced 2D course next year that I need a portfolio to be in, and she's been hassling me about getting certain stuff in that's getting mildly annoying. She wants stuff from my old computer graphics course that I took last year; none of which I have and none of which I'm actually proud of. Guh. I'm pretty much ready for summer and to be a senior. They're filming this tiny, tiny idie comic short movie being filmed my school tomorrow and they need extras so I'm going to try that. I think it's just some old graduates coming back to film here. But hey, they're thinking about entering at Sundance, which would be awesome I'm getting paid in pizza, which is always cool.
My arting computer is still broken, but my dad said we'd be getting some money in early next week, so hopefully we'll take it in and get it fixed quickly. I have a few linearts ready to color and the next two pages of the comic ready to go and I can't color theeemmmm. But at least I have a good camera so I can still upload other art. I need to get a new CSS...

I made him Willy the Nerdfighting Puppy and the white cow last time I saw him, and now I have no idea what to make him this time. Gick.
4) I got a 3.7 GPA! Not...really something to look forward to, but I did a lot better than I thought I would. I usually get around a 3.2-3.4.
5) I have a pretty decent amount of stuff to scan and upload. But I'll get to why I can't do that later.
6) I get to sleep in when John is coming cause of the ortho appointment, which is always awesome.
7) EASTER! Gawsh, I hope I get stuff. I don't care if I get gifts, but I just want CHOCOLATE. That's all I ask.
8) I want to start working on the comic since it's been so slow. Now ~FoOk-TaRd and I know where we're going. I have the fourth page to finish, she has the third, we're missing one or two after that and I've got the page after that. Hooray for working out of order!
And some not so hot news. My desktop computer is being a turd and refusing to start up. We don't know why it's doing that but it says it had to have been shut down wrong, which doesn't seem plausible since we never do that. My dad tried to reinstall the startup CD but it wouldn't do squat. Anyone have any ideas? I'm stuck to my laptop which likes to overheat. I've got art I'd like to scan but I caaan'tt.
My dad is being a complete douche to my brother. And it's really pissing me off. My dad's been getting really irritable and taking it out on him, calling him self centered, disrespectful, all sorts of crap. The thing is, you don't call someone stuff like that if he's on antidepressants. It's like he doesn't know him at all because he's one of the most decent, moral person I've met. My mom and I have noticed how nasty he's been getting for the past few months and she's tried to get through to him but it doesn't work. kjhgkfhdgkfg. But my brother is actually talking to me about it, which is really, really nice.

I don't have a Paypal or a credit card (let alone a bank account that I actually know how to use), otherwise I'd get them myself. I don't know how much my art would be worth and I'd never thought about it, so if anyone has an idea for pricing let me know. Because I have no idea what I'm doing. WEEEEE. Sometimes, even if you give me an idea, I just can't get it out on paper. My hands wont cooperate with my brain. I'd like to be able to ask you for another request if I can't get it!
I don't have many acrylic paints for sculptures and the ones that I have are running low. I can go out and buy more, but there are no guarantees. Ditto with colored pencils. If it's on paper, I'll probably have to mix media because of this.
Pleeaaase give me good reference pics for your characters if they're a little out of the norm. I'd like to get them as accurate as I can.
If it's a Sculpey figurine, I reserve the right to have fun with them and have adventures together >D

As some of you know, I find a LOT. Of stuff on movies. Scripts, scenes, interviews, casting, spoilers, all that good stuff. I send these out in notes whenever I get something new. Would any of you guys like to be added to my list? Right now I'm tracking Half Blood Prince, Avatar, A Great and Terrible Beauty, Maximum Ride, Looking for Alaska, and New Moon. There hasn't been much progress on Avatar A Great, Max Ride, and Terrible Beauty, and I haven't been tracking HBP too thoroughtly, but I still find some neat interviews. And I'm planning to change that. Or trailers, like the new one that came out with Watchmen. If you are interested just let me know and tell me if you'd like the updates on an as-I-get-them basis or whenever I get a clump of news. Things are heating up on New Moon and Half Blood Prince news. So John Green of vlogbrothers fame is having a reading of his newest book Paper Towns in Indy next week, and being a Nerdfighter, I am SO TOTALLY GOING. My friend and I are making t-shirts and I'm making The Giant White Cow from Paper Towns and Fireball Wilson Roberts. Arrgh, I'm so excited! He's an Indiana native, which proves that we poop out more than just corn. We poop out awesome authors too, like Meg Cabot. There is hope for this cornfield yet!

So the college I want to go to had a portfolio day on Saturday. I took in an unfinished watercolor and colored pencil of my dog, a pastel fabric study, my sketch pad (which primarily had a lot of self-portrait stuff and figure sketches), the Rebekah and Benny speed paint, The Root Of All Evil's character sheet, Skulktastic, Apples, and the elk.
I almost didn't go because I didn't know we were supposed to call in advance to set up a review time, and so then I was scheduled in at 5 and I think it ran from 1:45-5:30. That and we were an hour a late to registration cause the weather got crappy and we got lost. I got really, really nervous XD Cause, I mean, seriously. There were a few hundred kids from all over the state, probably some from out of state, most of which were older than me and a lot of them were going in to try to get accepted into their art program. And I'm just this insignificant little junior who threw together a half baked portfolio at the last second. Like, literally. 30 minutes before we left I threw in two other pics because I didn't have enough.
There was a no-show and so my review time got bumped down to 4:30. The two people who reviewed me were the associate professor of art and the assistant professor, according to the website. Oh my gosh, they were SO nice. I thought they'd be all bored since they've been seeing people all day, but they weren't. And they were really encouraging. One of them told me that my sketchpad was the best that they'd seen all day, and I was like "O_Oholyfecknowai." They told me that they really liked my stuff and I had great usage of lines (I don't know what that means) and that I should do more stuff with different media and that I should take some of the figure sketches, do them on bigger paper and complete them. They said I was on the right track and one of them told me that I would be accepted into the program when I came back in the spring of 2010.
I was in such a daze, you have no idea. I still am. JDGKFJ.

So I just ran a virus scan over my entire computer and I found out my Photoshop was infected with around 10-16 Trojans.

You can imagine at that point I was panicking, since it said all of those Trojans and cookies were unresolved threats. But then my dad swoops in to the rescue to point out a 'Select to Resolve Threats' button at the top of my virus program. Epic fail x2. I didn't get the virus from that virus that was going around dA, but from clicking a bad link that wound up mentally scarring me and giving me a virus. I thought I had gotten rid of it but apparently not. I don't know why it went for my Photoshop, but I'm just going to keep scanning it. Like, every day. Because my Photoshop is my baby. My computer's been running pretty slow this week, so maybe it'll start speeding up if I'm lucky o___o
The college I want to go to is having and art portfolio day next weekend...I haven't prepared for that at all. Hehe. If anyone knows what colleges like to see in art portfolios, please tell me XD I know they like drawings from life, but the only things I've got for that are some figure sketches of people in my class (where they're only sitting, which isn't too interesting) and some self-portait stuff. Gick. They said I'd have to bring in a laptop to show digital work, so if any of you guys think I have something that you think would be show-worthy, then let me know and I'll think about it.

Art Updates
So ~FoOk-TaRd and I have finally gone back to Comic Club for the first time in...months and we're working on pages 3-5. Page 2 would be up and ready to go except for the fact that the page where we wrote down the dialog is...MIA. Which is a problem. I think I had it last and probably lost it, but I've PMed ~FoOk-TaRd just in case. We're planning on making a separate dA account for the comic, but we need to think of a title first (which we're really bad at). BUT HOORAY. I'm just really happy we're getting so far. Turoro is AWESOME at paneling and drawing. And she's one of my best friends, so we work really well together. It's so awesome to have someone to bounce ideas off of. I haven't had a chance to draw anything major on the comic yet, but OH-HO-HO, my time is coming!

Hooray for my birthday I got well-wishes from friends (and a ducky poof-sponge!), which was really nice, considering I don't think I got any last year. I'm a lot more excited today than last year, probably because by 15th year sucked and didn't expect 16 to be much better. I keep feeling like all this cool stuff should happen when you turn 17. I think Asian Invasion looked at me today, which...I guess qualifies as cool XD
The weather is so freaking cold here that we got a two hour delay. The inside windows of my brother's car froze over. Yes, the INSIDE. Not the outside froze It snowed all day yesterday and it pretty much just froze over last night. The high for today is 1, but I don't think that's including the wind chill, so it's probably in the negatives. It's only going to get worse tomorrow, so I'm keeping my fingers crossed for another. The fire alarm went off during lunch, and no one got up or did anything. We just sat there and looked around like "Um, -6 outside? No. Kthnxbai."
Aaand on a semi random note, I got my hands on some audition scripts for Paul, Jared, Sam, Emily, Demetri, and Felix for New Moon. If anyone is interested in them, drop me a note.

A college I want to go to is having an art portfolio day in February, and...I really don't have much or a portfolio. So I'm going to work on that...I wanted to use my brown colored pencils on a pic the other day, and in case you didn't know, it's very difficult to color a picture brown when you're missing those colored pencils. So this shall be difficult.

Yes, it's another one of those New Year's journals. I think I had a pretty good year. I'm not going to do those resolutions because God knows they don't work and I'm going to forget them.
Bad stuff-
My dog died. My mom really doesn't want to get a dog, and I think I've pretty much given up on the hope of persuading her for a long time. My brother's hip popped out of the socket (that's what the doctors call it, but that makes no sense since it was his thigh that popped out). My other brother didn't pass a test to get back into school so he could get a master's degree. One of my best friend goes to another school. I don't think I drew as much.
Highlights-
I'm still alive (which is always good). The world didn't end like everyone thought it would (which is also good). I made new friends. Got Photoshop CS3. Discovered the awesomeness that is Canon cameras. Made pretty good grades. My summer wasn't a complete waste. My junior year classes aren't too hard. Kept on with big earphones. AVATAR. Got completely addicted to House. I'm able to remember my dreams. Said dreams have gotten even weirder, which is awesome. Discovered Zamzar. Donated blood. My brother, cousin, and aunt got new pets. I got my frenectomy done, which wasn't nearly as bad as I thought it would be. Braces are totally working out. I got a new acne medication so my face is pretty much clear. I got the courage to wear dresses and now I own two. My fashion sense is considerably better. I'm a lot more confident in school. BD came out, even though it..really wasn't that good. Twilight movie came out. Discovered new music. The whole feminine-girly part of puberty has finally set in for me, 4 years late. I have discovered shopping. Doug got his license so I'm not totally stuck at home. I've discovered Asian Invasion Boy (as my friend Maggie calls him), which is this lovely Asian boy that I think is new this year that I've taken an interest in. I don't know anything about him, but I thik that's half the fun. It doesn't hurt that he wears a jacket that looks almost exactly like the one my OC Jack wears. I think I became a better person, too. I'm still way far from perfect, but hey XD
But I think the best part is that I'm ok. I'm happy. Which affects everything in the long run, I think. So you can tell the goods outweighed the bad, and I really hope it was the same for all of you. I'd like to thank everyone here; thank all the people that gave me a pageview, commented on my art, journals, front page; everything. I've gone from about 12,000 pageviews in 2007 to about 15,000 in 2008. I really appreciate it <3<3<3 I can't thank each and every one of you, so I think the best I can do is give you the gift of laughter. Waking up in the morning with a smile on your face is crucial to how your day plans out, and I think it's the same for a new year. Wednesday is my Chinese final. Which will be short since Lao Shi ('Teacher' in Chinese...equivalent to Frau, Senora, etc) made us to a video project as a part of the final (I might put mine on youtube, but we butchered the Chinese language), so the test itself will be short. Thursday is a half day and I have US History, Earth Space Science, and English, so that will probably be my hardest day. Then Friday is also a half day and it's Painting 1 and Geometry. I've been building up my grades for the last month or so to have something to fall back on when (not IF) I bomb the finals. Hehe.
Christmas. I have made myself not peek at the presents. So far. Which is huge for me. I am a chronic peeker. I hope I continue to have the will not to. I still need to get a present for my brother Ben, who is bringing his cat Cricket home for the holidays (I freaking love that cat). I've been having the absolute WORST luck on getting a present for my mom. I just want to print off a photo or two of Pepper, but the drugstores and their machines refuse to cooperate. Yesterday a chick took 30 minutes to decide on what she wanted on her holiday cards, so I left. Then today, the machine says I don't have the photos on my USB drive, then I go home only to find out it does, then go back only for the machine to break and say I still don't have the photos on it.
SO YEAH. Hope you guys have been having better luck.

My parents know I'm responsible enough. They've said it before. Money isn't an issue. Two of my brothers wouldn't care, since they were never around much when we had Pepper. I think Doug would be ok with it. It's just my mom that I think would have other opinions. She said at some point we probably will get another dog, but I'm going to be leaving for college soon. I really don't think I'd want to come home if there isn't a dog in the house >> My brother wants to bring his cat home for the holidays, which would be AMAZING because I freakin' adore his cat.
I've been meandering around Pet Finder and I've narrowed down a few. Granted, I don't know if my plan would work or if these dogs would still be around, but who knows. I'm going to hope. But not keep my hopes up. Here are two I think I like the most: Lillie and Hoosier.

HUUUGE journal. Beware. SPOILERS AHEAD!
Things I did NOT like
It was rushed. THIS was my biggest qualm. But one needs to keep in mind it's an almost 500 page book condensed into a 2 hour movie. The pace of romance itself in the book is really slow. If I'm not mistaken, Bella and Edward don't speak for about 6 weeks in the beginning and the entire book took place over the period of like...5 or so months. The movie takes place over like...the course of a month XD It was too easy to laugh when I shouldn't have.
Alice, Laurent, and Victoria didn't have enough facetime! And there wasn't much background to vampires.
No escape through the airport. I know they have every right to change what they want, but I thought the airport escape would have been really neat to see.
The running effects. Vamps run faster than that and I don't think they'd have dorky little whooshy things behind it.
They made Edward seem like a creeper stalker- well, more than he already is, I mean. In the book, he was like 'I'm dangerous, stay away from me' and in the movie he was 'I've been stalking you like some creepy kid...stay away from me'. And he wore waaay too much eyeliner and lipstick. Seriously.
"Like my own personal brand of heroin" and "So the lion fell in love with the lamb". They seemed completely random and thrown in.
Inconsistencies. You could see their contacts SO easily. The Volvo had an Oregon license plate at some point, and the tube over Bella's face at the end kept moving.
Eric. Now, I don't usually say this about Asian boys (*Asian Fetishist*), but Eric looked creepy. His acting kind of sucked, too. He's a minor character, but still.
Carlisle's voice. Granted, he did sound like a wise man, but...his voice just didn't work for me. I thought Peter's (Carlisle's actor) voice alone would be perfect.
Things I DID Like
The music was great! And so well placed. My favorite was Rob's song, Let Me Sign was PERFECT. I love his vooiice!

I've decided to give away two characters that came to me in a dream. If they came to me in a dream, then they be speeshul (special). Cause I don't get dreams like that often. They were supposed to be the human forms of some of my favorite original characters (Eve and Jack; characters that mean a lot to me. So I'm not going to give them away to just anyone. You gotta prove your worth!

Watch Hocus Pocus before Halloween. Do it.
It is my all time favorite Halloween movie of all time. Along with Casper. It plays every year on ABC and Disney, and I've just recently now been really paying attention to the jokes, and even though it came out in 1993, it's still funny. And cleanly funny. I used to have a thing for Binx when he was human XD
Aaand for slightly larger news, I'm going to Seattle tomorrow! Plans kept bouncing back and forth and screwing up. I was told we were going now just a little less than two weeks ago. Originally we were supposed to go in the summer, but tickets ran from around $400-$1,000 per person. Then my dad and my brother were to go over fall break, but then Doug screwed his leg/hip up and was on crutches for a month (he just got off yesterday), and even though the doctor said he could go, my parents decided against it. My mom and I were supposed to go over spring break, but now she and I are going on fall break. We were able to nag a round trip tickets for both of us for a little less than $500, since this isn't their busy season. If everything goes well, I'll go back on spring break too. There's a Chinatown that I'm going to check out, along with a fish market, zoo, aquarium, and maaaybe whale watching, but it's not looking good. Or maybe I could invade Canada. I'm going to mosey in the original Starbucks, but I don't like coffee- I'm just going to rub it into some friends' faces. But those aren't what I'm most excited for. What am I most excited for?
ASIANS. ASIANS, ASIANS, ASIANS.
Asians are the largest minority there, and in case you didn't know, I'm an Asian fetishist. And I am not ashamed. It runs in the family, I think.

So today is my four year anniversary on dA. This is my second account, in case the date on this account throws you off. I'm surprised I haven't gotten tired of this place after all this time D: Let's hope for more happy years ahead <3
My aunt got a 11 week old bulldog puppy and I just saw her today. SHE IS EFFING ADORABLE. But she had an iron grip. She went after my pants. Gracie finally has someone who can play with her on her level, despite the height difference. They're not sure on a name, but my other aunt calls her Princess Farts A Lot, but she's pushing for Chloe or Bella (not Twilight related. My aunt will probably name her something stupid, which is what happened to Lovie. Lovie Kitty. Wtf. The puppy goes after anything that moves, which makes sense. The dogs go after each others' ears, the puppy goes after Gracie's collar and Gracie goes for the puppy's fat rolls. They'd like to breed her when she gets older, but something tells me that's going to fall through since when they usually plan something big like this, it...doesn't happen. But hey. Maybe I'll get a bulldog puppy. I'd prefer a mutt, but I told my mom the first free dog I find I'm getting it. I'd take some pictures but I have yet to find the receipt for my Canon, but my dad got a new camera and it's crappier than the other one.
Aaand if any of you use Internet Explorer, sign up for GoodSearch. Every time you search for something it donates money to a charity of your choice. I've heard their search engine is as good as google and you can download a toolbar. I can't use it since I use Firefox, but I could if I would.
Btw, my brother is perfectly fine now. He's on crutches for a month but can still drive. He's apparently healed enough to have cripple fights in the parking lot with other kids on crutches.

Wednesday- My dog dies.
Sunday- Get sick for no reason and feels like crap.
Monday- School has to be stupid and make me go around and get my teachers to sign a paper because of my surgery the next day. Don't get it turned in on time. Slip is completely unnecessary.
Tuesday- Frenectomy. Get something in my mouth removed, which pretty much requires needles and a helluva lot of numbing. I couldn't talk well for 3 hours and can't smile because it pulls at the stitches. Which is very difficult for me. They thought I'd be in agonizing pain, so I was bracing for that all day, but it never happened. I was in no pain and still am in no pain, which is good.
Tuesday evening- Doug (my brother) has an accident in rugby and a kid tackles him so hard to the ground that his thigh literally pops out of his hip. I try repeatedly to call my parents but they don't pick up. Thank god my friend chose then to come over and her mom drives us to the hospital. He was in the most pain I've ever seen ANYONE in because they couldn't give him any more painkillers because it would mix with the stuff they gave him in the ambulance. He was in so much pain he could barely speak, but he was constantly asking for painkilers. So I pretty much stood there, totally helpless as my brother pleaded to me to get a nurse for pain killers, and when I did I picked the one who would turn out to blow me off. For the rest of the night, they gave him painkillers that pretty much lasted for about 20 minutes. They couldn't tell if he fractured his thigh because they couldn't get him on the X-ray bed or straighten out his leg. They had to cut off his shorts and underwear...which was done by a woman. Total man card shot.
Gah.
He's fine now, though. They popped his thigh in last night, and they're doing an MRI (or CAT or CT scan, I really don't know) to see if any bone fragments are in the joint, but he went from nearly being in tears (he never cried or screamed because he's an idiot) to making jokes with the nurses and not needing any medication and craving Taco Bell. Usually he doesn't talk with anyone he doesn't need to, and he was more lively than I've seen him in a long time.
So I was in the hospital for 7 hours and I got 6 hours of sleep and was unable to do any of my makeup work. Hopefully he's coming home tonight.

She could have been just as old as me, and I literally grew up with that dog. I remember the day we got her- May 18th, I was in first grade- and I remember how she ran upstairs and woke me up the second day we got her and how she ran away so many times we thought we'd lose her. She'd pick fights with anything bigger than her and would run victory laps around the house whenever she got too excited. She tried to attack cows, freak out birds at the pet store, made friends with goats, and cleared our backyard of squirrels for a good long while. She never acted like a real dog. She never played, she only came when she felt like it, and she only loved you when she wanted to. She'd claw you to death when she wanted your food, pranced like a brat after she got trimmed, wouldn't let you carry her, slept in the closet, under the bed, on the chair, but never on her own bed. She was the pickiest eater. I didn't know it, but one year ago, today, my Nina died too. I thought it was on the 19th, but apparently not according to my mom. She never stopped fighting in the end.
I love you, girl. I'll miss you.

It's the end of the world as we know it, and I'm feelin' fine~
R.E.M- End of the World As We Know It
So if you haven't heard of the CERN-atom-collider-potential-doomsday ordeal, then I'd say you've been living under a rock, but then again, I just found out about it less than 24 hours ago. To sum it up, these Swissie scientists made this 17 mile long tunnel that's going to smash some atoms and try to recreate the big bang theory, find some other dimensions, prove or disprove some other theories that I don't really understand about gravity and mass of stuff, and possibly whip up a black hole or two that could suck the entire planet in (wee!). Needless to say, quite a lot of people are freaking out. When are they doing this? Tomorrow morning Frankly, I think we're going to be fine. I've been doing some research (which is more or less pointless, since I hated and pretty much failed the physics part of ICP frosh year), and I think we'll all live to sleep in on Saturday. I found this nifty rap that...kind of simplifies it. The chance of them making a black hole are fairly slim, and you can read this article to see what they could find. People are still freaking out, though. In all honesty, I'd like to not die single. Or without a pair of Converse. Those are my main requests. It's fun, I've been trying to freak people out today, but it didn't really work. The machine has been tested before, but it will be months before we actually see if it came up with anything.
Anyways, on not such a lighter note. My dog is going downhill. My mom pulled me and my brother aside to talk about putting her to sleep. It just really sucks. During the weekdays I don't get enough sleep because she wakes up and starts crying in the middle of the night because she can't get up. She's got dementia, so we're not even sure if she's crying because she's in pain or crying just to cry. She's now got a urinary tract infection and I just noticed today she's bleeding from there and I think it really hurts her. We're trying to give her some sedatives at night so she'll stay asleep, but they only last for about 4 hours. I know people put their dogs to sleep if they're suffering, but I don't want to put her to sleep because I feel that if she still wants to live, she'll live. I don't like the concept of having the decision to whether your dog lives or dies in your hands. But I dunno. I guess it just depends when the time comes.

Took me freakin' forever, too. But I like it. I couldn't get the BG to work how I wanted, but I still like it. Into the Ocean is one of my favorite songs (and Blue October is one of my favorite bands), and I thought the repeated 'Goodbye' part at the end of the song fit the ending of a journal. I think Blue October's new CD is coming out in September-er, I guess, later this month. I didn't want to resort to a pre-made CSS since they didn't have the sort of themes I wanted, and my computer is zip file retarded. I'm sorry, but I'm not ready to let go of summer yet .-. Fall means cold. And allergies (which I have now). And dry skin. I saw leaves turning colors down south and thought I just saw a bunch of dying trees.
Speaking of fall. Long rambling ahead, you might want to turn back now. Coming up on year since my Nina died, and I spent Saturday and Sunday at her house to mainly celebrate my brother's 22nd belated birthday. My uncle drove down from Colorado to get more stuff. My other brother came on Saturday, and I felt really sorry for him. I went with my mom most of the time when she came to pack away my Nina's stuff, and he just looked so tortured the whole time. Most of the stuff is gone, and I'm pretty sure it killed him when he watched me try on her old coats. We're trying to pawn off as much as we can to family. I, for instance, have all her old pajamas, will have some of her jewelry, her fuzzy Eskimo hat (a trademark for her), and a cookbook given to her by her mom as a wedding gift (my mom was about to donate it because she didn't see what was written inside- it has recipes for brains, kidneys, squirrels, turtles, rabbits, ox tail, and reindeer, not even kidding), and a coat or two. He apparently didn't want to go to the restaurant for my brother's birthday dinner since it was the last place he saw her alive. It really wasn't hard for me. It's really sinking in that something is...up (not necessarily wrong, since there really is no right or wrong) with the way I cope with things. I get over things REALLY quickly. I don't mean to say 'Oh, none of this ever mattered', because I sure as hell know every moment I was ever with her mattered. Things dawn on me faster than they do with other people. The moments and memories before did, but the feelings of grief that I would feel now don't. Being sad about anything just...doesn't work for me. I'm not sure if I can find the right words to describe it. I can't be mopey and sad anymore, even though it feels wrong to feel this way after less than a year. I really wonder if it's just because I only knew her for 15 years, and maybe if I'd have to have known her longer it would take me longer. Grief just seems so useless to me now. It kind of dawned on me that I'm okay now. Then again, I might have my moments, but I can't see one of those happening for a while. Around last fall after she died, it tore me up because the pictures I had of her in albums had her smiling like she didn't care, like she wasn't really happy. Then I see pictures of her with her family, her kids, her grandkids, and she looks happy. Genuinely happy. When I think of her now, I see her happy. I wrote a poem about her for creative writing last semester of my memories of her singing and dancing when she heard a song she liked, and my teacher loved it. I'm not sure if it's sunk in to me that she's dead. Just gone and that she wont come back. Death is too depressing, and that's not right for her. But I'm not even sure if I'm phrasing that right. I've got a photo of her in my room with me when I was little in my room now, and I'm probably going to start talking to it. I found some stuff on her bed on Sunday- Chinese swaddling (like coat padding), a gown, and some pillow cases. She was introduced to my grandpa by her Chinese room mate, so she has a few Chinese things. There was a letter on two of them written by her in September 1988 talking about the back story behind them, and I swear it looked like she wrote 'Claire's gown' on the dress because she scrunched her handwriting. It took me a while to see it said "Chinese gown' instead. I still haven't gotten over the fact that it feels like she was taken, not that she died. Probably because it was sudden, but looking back now I can see see all the signs of the smaller strokes she apparently had. But, it doesn't matter now. Now a days, I look for signs that maybe she's giving me. When we were there, my mom, uncle and I saw three deer- a mom and two fawns. I have murdered two cameras in the course of about two hours. Not even kidding. First, I was taking a video with my own camera, and I put it on a piece of Sculpey on a ledge, then it fell. The lens is bent and the lens wont retract at all. When I pull out my dad's camera, a black screen pops up saying 'Access'. And that's it. The lens moves a little. I looked up on google for a possible solution, and an overwhelming amount of people had the same problem and fixed it by whacking it. I am whacking and whacking, but nothing is happening. I am toast. I am screwed. My dad is flying out to Seattle in September (without us), and I really think he'd like his camera since I'm pretty sure my uncle is dying. I'm not supposed to know that *rolls eyes*. GAAAHHH. I'm filling out my job application, NOW. GuuuuuUUUHhHHhhh. I don't really care so much that he might ground me (I never go anywhere), but just the fact I no longer have a camera and will no longer be able to borrow his. I'm not even sure if I broke it. I don't recall dropping it, but it's possible I stepped on it, but apparently Sony is a really faulty brand and this happens all the time. HA! Try to get my dad to believe that. Maybe if I keep whacking...
GAH. I'll just get a buttload of money from barrista-ing and buy him an even better camera. I was pretty ticked he didn't even consult me when he bought a camera, since the people at Best Buy were probably paid on commission, and I knew they sold him a crap camera from the beginning. It didn't even have the features he needed... <---*knows what she's talking about when it comes to cameras*
Twilight Tuesday is coming...I'll just try to keep it cool until then.

Quick blurb for Twilighters- The movie is now taking the Half Blood Prince's release date (November 21st), since HBP moved to July 17th, 2009. It's 3 weeks earlier than originally planned :3 The date switches are completely unrelated.
Phonies #1! Ohhh, it has been an absolutely GLORIOUS week for art stealers. Er, for me I mean, not them. I usually don't look into people who fav my fanart, since I know a lot of people don't like it when you spam up their page with 'thanks for the fav''s. And I get a buttload of favs on fanart. But on a whim, I decided to mosey on their pages. I think art stealers are attracted to my fanart. Like those pretty pitcher flowers you see on rain forest documentations. Flies fly in looking for...nectar or pollen or whatever, then they drown in the water at the bottom of the flower and a spider eats them. For the past...4-6 days, I have been having a field day reporting galleries. It's awesome, I didn't think I'd track down so many on dA like I did on theOtaku. BUT OH NO. They come in droves. I got one today where I reported about 12 stolen photos from Google Images. Honestly, they don't even make it hard. The ones on theO were a lot more of a challenge, but oh well, I'm not going to complain! It feels good to be back in business <3
More phonies! China's womens' gymnastics team! So you have to be 16 (or turn 16 that year) in order to compete in the Olympics. Get this (if you haven't already heard):
Yang Yilin: 77 lbs (35 kg), 4'11 (150 cm). 15 years old. He Kexin: 72 lbs (33 kg), 4'7 (142 cm), 16 years. Deng Linlin: 68 lbs (32 kg), 4'5 (137 cm), 16 years. The average height and weight for the American team is 5'0 and 90 lbs. I dunno about you, but I think I'm calling SHENANIGANS! Do those girls look like they've even hit their teens at ALL? Now, I can understand stunted growth. Short parents? Sure. Maybe for a few of the gymnasts, sure, sure. Naturally rounded bodies of that the Chinese tend to have, or the stuff muscles do to your body? Absolutely. But the average for them is 4'9 and 77 lbs. I see baby fat. I've seen missing baby teeth. Flat chests, nonexistant curves. They're just as lean as any of the other Chinese athletes, but the difference between them all is HUGE. Personally, I don't really care how old they are (they're so cute, I want to pinch their cheeks XD Except for Cheng Fei. She sort of intimidates me), but I don't like the fact they're lying to stay in the OLYMPICS. But whatever. Our girls beat them the other night, anyway. Haha, just teasing XD And did you hear how they digitally added some of the effects in the opening ceremony? I don't really care about that too bad, since they did an AMAZING job anyway. But I feel sorry for the little girl they switched out to sing the anthem because she wasn't cute enough. I thought she was adorable :[ On a semi-random note, did anyone watch the USA vs. Argentina volleyball match? ...does the Argentinian team know how to play volleyball? They had about as much enthusiasm as the girls' gym class on volley ball week...which isn't much. ._.
And my third phonie! The Big Foot discovered in northern Georgia. They took two samples of DNA, and one came back 96% opossum XD But they said the tests could have been contaminated and they'll do an autopsy. I always hated possums...

Completely random crap ahead. Caaauuuse...I don't think I can come up with a decent main subject XD So blurbs!
SO. Went to the Breaking Dawn release party, won the costume contest (there were only 4 other people dressed up XD), read BD innn...about a day. BD was ok. Plotline was like a fanfiction (kind of a cliche one), but her writing style got better, I think. I've made my peace with Jacob Black, just because he's so freakin' hilarious! I want to draw pictures of Seth, since he's a mofo. Chyeah. Too bad I haven't drawn anything in probably over a week.
Summer is ending, it's so sad D: School's in... gosh, less than two weeks. And it starts on a MONDAY now, no less! What's wrong with Wednesday?! I'm trying to soak up as much color as I can, which isn't really working (*pasty pale*). I was out canoeing with my friend yesterday for about 4 hours, and I just got color on my shoulders. I got more color from lazing out in the sun near my friend's pool today for only an hour. I've actually had a social life over the last few days, and it's insane. I'm not used to it XD I meandered around Goodwill with my friends a few days back, and actually found a fugly huge purple kimono. I'm kicking myself now because I didn't buy it. I found a 'TITTIES AND BEER' shirt, too.
And now for something...completely different. Bag boys. Oh my. It seems like whenever I go to the store, there are a bunch of good looking bag boys. I don't recognize any of them, and I've lived in this town for my whole life, which makes me pray we've got some new people moving in this year. Speaking of boys, there's a couch sitting in my front yard, and my brother and his friends are apparently going to drop it off in a field and just sit in it. I think they're actually going to put it on a store's roof downtown and the field thing was a cover story for my mom.
Peach picking! I'm going with my gramma to go peach picking up in Michigan on Saturday! I have no idea where, and I actually don't like peaches, but my gramma is made of all things amazing and epic. She's a freakin' 80 year old woman with a cane, and she just up and decides to go pick fruit. Why she would want to drive 4+ hours to another state for peaches, I have no idea. But whatever. Free food.
WikiHow. It. Is. Awesome. I love semi-useless knowledge. Like how to... escape from hand cuffs, remove an ingrown hair, call in sick, make a hollow book, and tell if a mirror is two way or not.

I just got done watching the finale. I couldn't see it earlier on TV because I went to see The Dark Knight (which was AMAZING). So spoilers.
Just....wow. It was incredible. The whole time I was wondering if Aang was going to have to face the fact that he would have to kill a human being, but I was thinking because it was a kids' show, they wouldn't even talk about that option and just magically stop him. But oh no, they made it so that was the ONLY way he could do it. Honestly, I would have been really upset if Aang did kill Ozai. Because I see it how he sees it, that no matter what, a human life is a human life. But I loved how much they made him deliberate on it and the old avatars gave him advice, and they made it seem semi ok. Like how they reasoned it. Kind of a life of the people to the life of the individual sort of of dealio. The lion turtle was incredible! The design was just so awe inspiring. I couldn't really understand what he was saying half the time, though XD The character growth was fantastic. I'm glad Katara wasn't such a PMSy jerk. Though I suppose she was...somewhat justified. And when Zuko finally apologized to Iroh...oh, it was beautiful. Dante Bosco did a fantastic job of voicing Zuko. Huge kudos to him. The fight scenes were amazing. Oh mah gawd, I just can't get over how awesome everything was! It wasn't your generic fight-til-we-find him sort of thing, it was planning and fights I never thought of. Gawd, poor Sokka, hurting his leg D: Azula going nuts was so fitting. The fight between her and Zuko was incredible, I so thought he was toast. I nearly cried. Not just because Zuko is one of my honorary Huzbinds, because he was an amazing character and he nearly DIED. Protecting someone else! Not to mention, he looked so much like my OC Jack! I never would have imagined anything like Katara's trap. I honestly felt so sorry for her when she started bawling. I thought of taking Ozai's bending away, but I didn't think it could be done. In the end, I thought Aang would go down taking out Ozai. I feel pathetic saying this, but my eyes watered just the slightest bit when it ended. It's the end of a fandom for me. But I think they left some things open, like if Jet was dead or where Zuko's mother is after all. But then again, they ARE doing that movie. I really don't know if those loose ends were enough to start a sequel. I swear, if I don't see more from the creators of Avatar, I will be so royally pissed. I'd boycott Nickolodeon. Not that I watched them for anything other than Avatar, but whutevar. Despite the fact I'm a diehard Zutara, I was ok with Aang and her kissing in the end. Hey, he saved the world. He deserves it. Maiko still pisses me off. I'd keep ranting more, but I think I'm having a sugar crash and I'm feeling a headache coming on.

So the grocery store never called me back. I never should have waited until the middle of June to turn it in XD I had a friend that said they'd start hiring again in mid July. Still...not...employed. Haha. My friend works at a local dinner restaurant and she said they're opening a new store right below them in what is still a fake flower shop (yeah, you heard me right), but it's opening up in September. It's a breakfast and lunch place, so I'd only be able to work on weekends or any days off we get in school. My gramma told me she drove by a dog kennel that's hiring multiple positions, so I'll check that place out too.
The book-a-day thing didn't really work. The top reader in the summer reading program has around 15,000 pages, I have almost 7,000.
Seattle is undecided. My parents can't go because of work, and my mom really doesn't like the idea of us flying alone. Money is still an issue too.
GenCon Indy is not going to happen. They bumped up the prices and they're not posting if any special anime guests are coming. The anime section is only a small hallway and a few rooms. I heard GenCon's going bankrupt anyway.
BREAKING DAWN IS COMING OUT IN A FEW WEEKS. HOSWEETJEEBUS. SM's starting up quote-of-the-day stuff like she did for Eclipse soon <3
On a completely random note, I want to make some new CSS for my journal. I'm tidying up the crap at the bottom and I'm switching out a new roster of nifty artists. Variety is the spice of life!

Art has picked up. Nothing too epic, but I have been doodling. I still need to finish my entry for =DiamondWolf's contest, which ends...tomorrow XD I had months to get ready >_< I guess it just slipped my mind...
There's an art show in another city in September, and I'd like to enter some photography if I can figure out how to get the photos off the computer to a developing place.
ALSO! If you remember on Twitube Tees Lion 'n Lamb, I mentioned that I sent some graphics in for some people trying to get to New York to help them out. Summer plans.
OKAAAYS. So I turned in an application for working the cashier for the grocery store, which I thought I would get instantly, but that was at the beginning of the summer. Now, I'm not so sure, but my dad said I had to be employed by July. Also that he was planning on cutting off my allowance once I got employed or sooner. That's haarssshh. The manager also gave me a strange look when I turned in my application, but that might just be because he saw my psycho friend with me, who also works there, and probably thought I was just like her. If that doesn't work, I'll meander around the restaurants downtown for a busing job. I signed up for the summer reading program at the library, and I'm trying to do a book-a-day king of thinger, and yesterday I read two books for around 500 some pages. Yeah, I'm planning on DESTROYING the competition. My uncle and my brother want us to come out to Seattle to visit them, and my dad is putting absolutely NO effort into actually finding tickets, so I've taken it upon my shoulders to do that. But when I show him a deal or ask him questions, he acts like he couldn't care less. Wtf. Sooo, pretty much, I've planned our vacation from July 21st to the 28th, to get away from the busy 4th of July and the random days where there's school stuff/Gen Con in August. I was planning on going to iGNITE (church camp) like I did last year, but I honestly don't think my family can afford it, so I'm pretty sure that's off. I need to get clothes. My mom pretty much refuses to buy me anything from Target or Walmart for fear of it being defective (which is why there's such things as return policies), and I need to go buy my own. I need to save up for Gen Con, which is the weekend before school starts, and Breaking Dawn. I want to make up for my crap-of-a-summer last year. Art, unfortunately, has..not..crossed my mind as a priority at all. Which depresses me. But it's true. Doesn't mean I wont update stuff, but I don't have plans to start anything big. I haven't drawn anything in over a week XD I wont get on the internet for long periods of time very much, just to check on various sites 'n all that jazz.
I've also picked up a hobby of ant-assassinating. I don't know how they get in, but they keep coming back. I will not be getting any good karma points for this. I tried chemical warfare by means of bug spray, but then they just stay away from the sprayed parts, and now I've taken it upon myself to simply take a sponge, whipe them up, and drown them in the sink. Gruesome, I know, but if you had to clean the kitchen 3+ times a day, you'd resort to such drastic matters, too.

It's been raining for two days straight, storming non-stop. Needless to say I didn't sleep well, which is bad considering it's finals week. I have three today, took one and part of another yesterday. The day is cut short so we only have to attend those classes. And now we have a two hour delay due to the rain. So I'm pretty sure we're screwed for finals. But I wish I knew this before I woke up. Cause I found out when I was checking my mail and eating my breakfast, and I'm the sort of freak who can't go back to sleep once I've been moving for over two minutes. And, of course, my town is retarded and is one of the few schools in Indiana that's still in session We get out on Thursday, and my mom is heading down to go through my Nina's stuff. It's kind of weird, seeing things that stayed in only one place in her house for as long as I can remember and all of a sudden it's sitting on a night stand or a dresser. It's not sad, just strange. She's got cool stuff. Haha. I'm planing on going with her on Friday, which is when I'm assuming she's going, or Saturday. I haven't gotten all the details, but I'm assuming she's staying over night because my uncle flew in from Colorado.
And now I have acne medicine! That I've only had for a week and it's already working! But it's starting to burn my face... And I got Croc flip flop rip offs for six bucks, but I trip in them really easily and they sound like a puppy being kicked when they skid. Hehe. They talk. Better than actual $40 Crocs? I think so.
ART
So, you may have noticed my latest product of procrastination. Like I said in that description, I've got one page inked, ready to scan, and one nearly done with inking. I *think* I know where I'm going after this, but not very far. I don't know a general area of where I want to go next, but it's getting the actual plot line that's taking a little time with me. But I'll try to sketch more today and on the weekend. Don't get your hopes up that I'll actually regularly update this, it's more of something for my own benefit, just to see if I can do it. Who knows, I could do the parts I want to do now, take a break, and do more later. There's a lot more to comic pages than I ever thought XD I've taken two pages up in my sketch pad to get all the poses or experiment with frames for the nearly-done page. I've re-done a ref for Lily cause the old one makes me cringe, so I ought to get that up and colored...

I sit in the front of a row of three people in 7th period Geometry. There's this junior that sits in the back who...well, to put it softly, is one French fry short of a Happy Meal. And incredibly closed minded. Which is one of the biggest pet peeves I have. But, being the person I am, I'm nice to her, help her if she needs it on her homework, lend her notes, and keep her updated on the latest Twilight news, of which she is a fellow fan. So today we had a big test, which I think I probably bombed. She was complaining about it, naturally. Which is even bigger of a pet peeve. I got to the class before anyone else. When everyone got there, he started handing out the test when....
Her: Oh! I bet that hobo skipped school just so she could miss the test!
Various people in class: Who?
Her: Claire!
Class: *starts laughing*
Me: *peers over* Excuse me?
Lauren (girl behind me): She's right here.
Me: Did you just call me a hobo?
Her: Oh, I didn't know you were here!
Me: *just stares* What if I wasn't here because my gramma died? And you called me a hobo?
Her: I didn't know you were here! Jeez, don't take it as an insult!
So I just return to my work. She then whispered to me later from a few seats down (loud enough for the class to hear) that she felt bad. And I whispered back that I was glad she did. I'm planning on rubbing it in a little bit tomorrow. And I'm pretty damn sure I dress better than a hobo. I got the shirt I was wearing from Hollister. And I got compliments on my wardrobe today. I've worn the same thing before and I got compliments then, too. I got compliments on my hair. The whole shopping enthusiast part of girl-puberty kicked in late for me, but it has kicked in. She's also gone on a rant about womens' basketball about how she thought it was the stupidest thing she's ever heard of and that it was a waste of time. She also left her hood down on her electronic heat leather interior convertible on a cloudy day where it proceeded to rain and pretty much ruin her car. Not to mention get caught by the police in probably our town's biggest drug/underage drinking/orgy party. She also wanted to know if anyone wanted her fish because she thought it hated her. The list goes on, man.
Honestly, I wasn't insulted as much as I was aggravated. And sorry for her. Who calls people a hobo? Who? What kind of an insult is that, honestly XD And I love how I'm nice to her and she insults me when she thinks I'm not here.
AAANYWAYS. *cough* Finals. They are coming. I am afraid. But summer break. Sweet, sweet summer break.

Anyways. School ends on the 5th, and we have a four day weekend this week. Teachers are trying to cram stuff in, and I think next week will be even more crammed. Finals week starts on the 2nd. My internet connection has a bad case of PMS, too.
Oh, and I found out I glow in the sunlight like a freakin' Twilight vampire.

I actually got off my lazy butt and drew a final version for *BeanyCoffee's request from my old contest. Wow. I’m actually getting relatively productive. I’m mainly just cracking out a few Twilight icons ‘n banners ‘n stuff. I want to re-do my journal crap...bleeeh. I really want to open up trades and requests, too! So how it starts out...
My friend ~foxmagic is with me. We've been best friends since pre-k. We were in some building that made me think of some sort of state official judiciary building. Someone has taken over, and I think they hacked the system or something so all the doors are locked, and she and I escape. We're not afraid, we're having fun. I recall getting into a room that was literally spherical and filled with water. There was a window we had to get to that would let us out. We didn't need to breathe and we got out on something that could have been a pillar, but not quite the roof of the building. It's sunny outside and we shout to a police officer to tell him we know how to get the other people out. He said they already had everything under control and they would have gotten us if we had just waited a little. So my friend and I, a little annoyed, leave. We go into some other building, and see a man in a green ski mask. He's standing next to a small metallic table near a business man talking on a cell phone. I recall being scared at how on edge and insane he looked. He has a small gun in his shaking hand. She and I instantly see it, but pretending nothing is wrong, we both make our way to a nearby bathroom, looking down. We didn't need to even say anything, we both just GO. When the door closes, we hear a gunshot. It's a one person bathroom, light green walls, with bright natural lighting coming from a small window. I kick out the window and I tell her to go through, thinking it would be too small for me. I make it through after her, and the window actually leads us to another bathroom on the second floor. There's another window and I kick it out again, and we both make it through, but the masked man is coming after us and we're about to make it to the third window, but then we try to hide. I see him aim the gun at my friend and I wake up.
GUH. That's the second dream I've had about a gunman. The other one had me waking up crying.
If anyone knows of any sites with good dream dictionaries or someone I could email, that would be love. I'm getting a rough idea of what's going on by going to a few sites, but some of the minute details aren't coming up. I'll try to sum up what I've come up with.
I have a positive control on my life, but I'm trying to escape and move forward with my best friend's qualities. But what I don't get is why I'm trying to escape from a controlled life. Or hey, it could mean I either need to escape or I already did. I'd escape with higher insights to a new place or path. Something either rigid or powerful is being over looked or being considered insignificant. The man standing next to it on his phone could mean communication or self sufficiency could be the thing being overlooked, or maybe it means something completely different. Someone is doing a poor job covering up insanity or anxiety with a calm face or he could be covering up the desire for power or harm. Then there's a new path for the welfare of my body, to hope or some type of assistance. I actually think this might be brought on my my braces or running, since I'm going through two bathrooms with two lights. It could be something in the future and something more important comes next. The window is vague, and so is breaking it. I'm not breaking it in anger, so I'm desiring to be free of either how I see people, an event, openness, or communication, or isolation. I think I'm trying to break free of isolation from people or events, which could be multiple things. Doing it twice and nearly a third time and each time going to a higher level makes more sense for me. I'm trying to do something out of kindness or the desire for someone else's benefit, and I do this twice. I think I'm doing something for someone else each event. That...isn't very clear to me. I can think of two events, but I don't see how I'm benefiting someone else. I'm not sure if the meaning of my best friend still carries over, so her sense of humor or randomness, or if she just means a person. Shooting means anger, and the man is still following, so an angry event keeps following. Guh. I hate not knowing if something is coming. I have a rough idea of what events could be what or what things could be, but it's not exact.

Ok, so I think hell has finally frozen over.
I have not drawn anything since Sunday.
I have picked up jogging/running.
Alright, please hold back your terrified shrieks.
I have a friend I can jog with, but she works sometimes, so I do it on my own. I'm going on my third day and I'd like to run/jog every day, if I don't have anything holding me back. I listen to music when I can't go with one of my friends, and a strong beat is important. And this is where you can hopefully help me. I'd like you to either recommend songs/bands for me to listen to with good, strong, fast beats. Something aggressive or just upbeat. My friend burned me two of her Paramore CDs, so hopefully there's something good on there, but I haven't listened to it yet. International is fine, but I just want something with drums, lyrics, and guitar. Well, it doesn't have to be that since I like techno too, but still. Strong beats tend to come with that package. Rock/Alternative rock is preferred. Bands I like include- Damien Rice, Breaking Benjamin, Paramore, Blue October, The Spill Canvas, Boys Like Girls, Aqualung, The Daylights... I'm going to try to download some Amor for Sleep. Might try some MCR, too. I actually like sadder/more emotional (or angstier XD) songs better than ones like "HOMAHGAWWD I IS SO IN LURVE". But not like "IMA CUT MAH RiSts CUZ IM NOT SO IN LURVE".

I didn't actually touch the worm at all (thank god for tweezers), but my hands smelled like rubber the whole day, which surprisingly smells like sweat. But anyways. On to today. No homework. There were worms in Bio, but we didn't have to touch them. I might actually learn Spanish with the new teacher we got (Spanish is actually her first language) after ours left on maternity leave. I got a freezer pop from the PTO, along with ice cream by my own accord...got a 3.3 GPA on my report card, got a drawing done, worked on another, and we're doing a really easy project in computer graphics. My dad got us pizza and Pepsi for dinner.
And then.
And then.
TWILIGHT MTV VIDEO. A FEW DAYS AFTER ONE DONE BY ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY.
I had to run outside to scream silently so I wouldn't implode.
So that's pretty much it. Yeah, I'm a freak, but I'm in good company.

That's my favorite noise of all time, in case you didn't know.
So, today...semi...officially marks Spring Break 2008. We get tomorrow and next week off. My friend is having this big sweet 16 party and we're all going shopping. Just recently I've discovered I actually LIKE shopping (I have to go WITHOUT my mom), and her parents are actually giving us money to go. Loaded much? I think so. I'm leaving tomorrow at 4ish and coming back on Sunday. It's gonna be amazing.
My computer has/had an infestation of computer viruses, which was my fault...don't download programs off of Mp3 Rocket, kiddies. It doesn't work XD I think they know how to reproduce, because it only told me I had one, but when it ran the scan, it said I had 9. Lolwhut? I think that scan got rid of them, but my computer has been going haywire, telling me I have all these...internet...file hacking thingermabobbers and killing my connection at random times. Guh. I think I'm slowly getting rid of them, though.
ART STATUS
Soooo I've been procrastinating the Ohu Leaders Collab which I probably would have had finished days ago. I'm trying to finish up my entry for *DiamondWolf's contest. I have two, but I haven't finished sketching the first. I'm not sure if I'll get it done in time, though. I'm planing on hand-drawing my friend's birthday card, which would be in colored pencil, and I dre a random chibi Fallow that I've been working on in class over the last week.

Yeaaah, so I should totally be working on my Spanish project, but...meh. I've been flooded with quite a few projects recently. Luckily, I got a perfect score on my English career report, but most of that was just participation, and I already have an A or A+ in that class. The Spanish project is over a Latin dance, and I have Salsa. It'd be easy if we could do it in English and I could actually get the video to embed in the power point, but of course life wont make it easy for me. ANYWAYS. That's due tomorrow XD I've got a Bio project I'll start on when the lady actually tells me when it's due...
ANYWAYS. On to my awesome day. I got a cupcake from my friend, which was awesome. I ate about half my weight in cake batter yesterday when I was making my own cupcakes. I was able to track down 4 bucks so I could get Chick-Fil-A at lunch, and I think I'm slowly getting my grade in Geometry back up. Proofs aren't nearly as bad as people make them out to be...so far. But the highlight of my day was the HUGENORMOUS amount of photos that turned up of Summit filming Twilight at Kalama High in Oregon. They had ROOOBBBBBBB. <3<3<3 If anyone wants the links to those photos and all the other ones I've tracked down (trust me, I got a LOT), then let me know! Summit's planning on releasing a Twilight site in about 2-3 weeks and they think we might be able to see a trailer as early as May. May has always been my favorite month, so this makes it even more awesome! Unfortunately, I had to walk home in the rain to make something up in English, but it was warm. A nice silver Volvo drove by me, and I nearly screamed. I think I'm a Volvo magnet; I saw a blue-silver one on Friday. WAIT. ONE MORE.
SWEET JESUS, I JUST FOUND VIDEOS OF THEM FILMING.
I...um...am going..to hyperventilate. I don't think I can write anymore.

We got a nasty ice storm yesterday (power went off quite a few times at school and a few times at home) and we got a two hour delay today <3 But the thing is, the ice freezes to the trees, then it got warmer today, so it melts. And it FLIES off whenever the wind blows, so it's a literal death trap because of all the trees we have. There were long pointy icicles sticking out of the snow, which made it really creepy. Like they were saying 'We're coming to get you >D' I walked to the gas station and got nailed by some chunks twice on the way back. But the dream I had last night made up for everything. I love fangirlish dreams <3
And I've discovered Ghost Hunters plays on TV in the hour where I thought nothing good comes on! So my after school TV watching routine is complete! I fecking love that show. I'm into ghosts and all that jazz, but even if you don't, the stuff that they catch sometimes is crazy scary. The one that came on at 6 was bone chilling. They caught some woman talking and just sounding like she was sobbing and pleading. I got really paranoid, cause I live in a really old house, and you never know what could have happened here.

With the help of ~Heart-of-Amethyst, I now know how to download brushes in theGIMP! My computer is unzipping files retarded, but somehow the files come unzipped when I download them. Also, I worked on the second part of the colored pencil tutorial yesterday.

So I was looking for a new tank I bought for my beta yesterday, and I found a packet of 10 sheets of silver scratchboard, which I asked for for Christmas. Turns out, my parents forgot to give it to me XD The wrapping says there's 'enclosed instructions', but...there aren't any. So either I'm blind or they ripped me off. Anyone got some tips? Also, I've given up on bugging my parents to take me to the art store that I got a gift certificate for, so I got my Gramma to do it. Tee hee <3 I got my allowance and I think I can get my aunt to cash a check my other aunt gave me, so in total, I'll have almost 100 bucks to spend at my favorite art store... *foams at mouth* It'll take me hours to pick what I want...
LIFE NEWS
My ginormous earphones broke D': Well, partially. I have to push the stem thinger in weird directions to get them to work. I found a nice pair of Panasonic ones that I'm going to buy. I'm not buying small ones, because it seems that once you go big, you never go back. I've been feeling so naked all week....
My great aunt died early Valentine's Day morning, so I went to a reception for that. Don't bother to give me your condolences because I barely knew her anyway. My cousin was hustling my other cousin and my brother out of their money in pool games, which was totally typical of him.
Mah Gramma is taking her dog Gracie in to obedience training, which I get to do with her. I'm excited :3 Except for the fact that she's still considered a puppy and I swear, she weighs 60 pounds. They claim 30, but I doubt it.

First of all, the release date for the fourth book, Breaking Dawn will be August 2nd 2008. Bella's school friends Jessica Stanley and Eric Yorkie have been cast, though it hasn't been released on the Twilight site yet. I'm 90% sure this is an absolute decision. Jessica's being played by Anna Kendrick and Eric's being played by Justin Chon. You can check out an MTV movie blog about it here.

According to the Twilight Lexicon and IMDb, Cam Gingandet was cast as James. I'm pretty sure this is reliable- I've heard of people seeing it in a magazine and people calling his reps to confirm. Also, rumors have popped up that Billy Burke has been cast, but there's no confirmation as to who he'd play or if he was even casted.

I think I like theGIMP better than Photoshop. See, the new semester started on Monday (I have so many more friends in my classes!), and I signed up for a Computer Graphics course. Sadly, I have come to the conclusion that it's going to be a VERY...slow semester. Hardly anyone knows what they're doing. I had to tell this kid who sits next to me where the blur tool was for the second time (we were on a scavenger hunt so people could experiment with the tools). Don't even get me started on all the issues he had with brushes. I don't think he's discovered the whole 'if you drag your mouse over the icon for a little it'll tell you what it is' thing. I had enough time to fiddle around with it more after I was done and I actually noticed a lot of aspects theGIMP has that either Photoshop doesn't have or I haven't discovered it yet. I hope I wont be that way when we move to Image Ready, cause that's what I used most of the time when I had Photoshop. I used PS for a few months before my dad killed the computer. Speaking of which, he did it again. I'm hoping the connection wont die on me as I do this journal, and I'm doing well so far... By the way, if anyone knows how to download brushes for Gimp, pleaaase tell me.
Other than that... I got a cold and I'm trying to find a job. I got an application for Hallmark (has gifts and cards 'n stuff). Also looking in to an exchange program for a summer. Cheapest option is Finland, so I'm looking in to scholarships.

LIFE UPDATES
So yish, yesterday was my sweet 16 <3 It was funny, my mom usually makes a big birthday dinner at home, but she told me she reserved a dinner at a local restaurant that I actually hate. I didn't say anything cause she'd probably get upset and I'd feel bad. But the cake was good. I offered a slice to my waitress and she took it like she was expecting it. Got $50 between my aunt and my gramma and a $50 gift certificate to Prizm, an amazing art supply store <3 I should be getting more from the relatives out of state. But the best gifts were by far the dog cake ~FoOk-TaRd made me and the art I got from ~BlackTailwolf <3<3<3
There was a blood drive today and I was able to donate because I just turned 16. I was so nervous just because I don't know if I'm afraid of needles yet XD I got a really cool bag and a lot of free sugary stuff, so it was all good. And I got to miss my whole math period and half of my Current Events too. A guy pricked me in the finger before I had my blood drawn to see if I was anemic, and I was getting a kick out of how much blood was coming out of just a tiny finger poke, like 'Wow, lookit it go!' One girl fainted just at that. When I was waiting for the lady who was going to take my blood to get done with another person, a girl next to me near the snacks just started puking. And then not ten minutes later another girl was on the verge of fainting. I caught myself saying 'She looks as pale as a Cullen!' (only Twilighters would get that) on accident >3 But the real needle huuurt. More than I thought it would. See, they compare it to a 'medium hard pinch', but I don't know how that feels. People know not to touch me. Or I beat them up. It didn't hurt for long, and I was having a fun time watching my bag fill up. My blood is purple When she was taking the needle out, she accidentally poked me again further down on my arm. Then I realized something about a few hours later in study hall...I bet that looks like a vampire bite under the bandage. And when I took it off a little bit ago, IT DOES. They're perfectly placed apart. I think it would make a cool Breaking Dawn cover (Twiligters, again). Might have to make the marks bigger, but I totally want to do it. I've got it plotted out in my head...*le sigh* Speakin' o' Twilight, I got my Spanish teacher hooked XD I lent her New Moon today. THE DISEASE SPREADS!

Also, some may have heard that me and ~FoOk-TaRd and I are planning on making a manga together. We've been procrastinating working on our English project at first period and have been talking about it for two days straight. I think we made a buttload of progress, coming up with some new characters, the story location; all sorts of good stuff. Needless to say, I want to beat the crap out of her. Tasha, I mean, for making me beat it on my own. And now I hate the game because I tried so hard before and went for 20 minutes only to get killed.

Usually I don't care, since I've always thought it was just a number that didn't matter. But unfortunately, 2007 was a hella shitty year. Pardon my French, but it's true. And not just for me. Let's recount, shall we?
-~BlackTailwolf had a roller coaster of a year, with her mom's cancer, trying to find a place to live, and moving.
-*BeanyCoffee lost her dog.
-~DiamondWolf lost...how many people? Cripes.
-~fearlesswolff died in a car accident.
I can't seem to remember more, but if you've had a shitty year, then tell me and I'll add it up here XD
And me. Let's see. Brother tried to kill himself. Other brother went to South Korea. Which isn't as bad as where he was before, but still :/ Other-other brother's roomate's sister was killed in a murder-suicide by her fiance. My grandmother died, which is the first real loss of someone I've ever had. ~InuTasha1992 moved to Ohio. ~FoOk-TaRd just had a helluva lot of issues between her mom and custody and stuff like that. ~foxmagic has had to deal with her alcohol-loving dad and his multiple girlfriends that she absolutely can't stand XD Aaaand now he got his latest girlfriend preggunt. My dog just recently got ecoli and now has kidney disease. It just sucks to watch a dog who was so lively and temperamental not see the dogs walking on the other side of the street and just fall over when she's standing up.
So yeah. I've mentioned it to people before, but I swear to Jeebus, 2008 better be pretty freakin' amazing. Or there will be asses to kick and head will roll. And I'm sure I don't stand alone in that.
But I don't think 2007 has been all that bad. It sucked in majority, but it still had some good points.
I think I improved a lot in my drawing style. Maybe not so much in just this year alone, but I keep all my old sketch pads, and I start laughing when I look at the old ones. And theGIMP. When I first downloaded it, I couldn't understand it AT ALL. Now I know what's going on most of the time. After the death of my gramma's dog Archie a few years back, I got to go to a LOT of dog shows with her to find a new dog. I'd really like to go to more. She finally found one, who wasn't a purebred like she wanted, but she was able to save her from the brink of death (not even joking, she had heartworm and was deathly skinny, the shelter would have put her down if the rescue hadn't picked her up), and she's a big fat handful now. She's insane. People in high school have matured and are somewhat easier to deal with. Not all of them, mind you. I've picked up a lot of new music, like Muse, Blue October, Vienna Teng, Imogen Heap, Frou Frou, Damien Rice, Vanessa Carlton... I think I've cut down a lot on downloading and started buying more. I put for my resolution last year that I wanted to pick up on coffee...that...sort of went through. I picked up on dousing my coffee with cream and vanilla frappuccinos, which sort of count XD Braces aren't all that bad to deal with. I'm still eating all the things I shouldn't be, and frankly, I don't see why you can't. If you can get it out and just watch how you're chewing, you're fine. But then again, I haven't gone in for a readjustment since I started eating badly XD
Resolutions!
1) Beat Kingdom Hearts. Actually, beat Big Ursula. I'd frankly just be happy with that now. Beat FF10 too, if I can find it.
2) Draw more stuff. I love drawing wolves, that hopefully wont ever stop, but I've been able to draw different animals and I've noticed that that's a lot of fun.
3) Keep up with my commenting-before-favoriting. That was a resolution from last year, and I think I've done that successfully, and I'd like to keep that up too. And comment more even on stuff I don't fav.
4) Dress better. I'm really tired of just being a hoodie jacket and jeans girl.
5) Shoot for a 3.3+ GPA.
7) Write more. I like doing it, my motivation to actually do it just sucks.
And a cookie goes to whoever knows why I jumped from 5 to 7... Wow, I'm losing it.
And my birthday is in 13 days x3 Sweet 16 and I have no idea what I want or what I should do...

My dog got shampoo and more canned food, which... she wasn't that excited about. She got a new fleece blanket and hip-and-joint dog treats that she ACTUALLY likes. She's incredibly picky.
Doug got an electric guitar and a Simon-Mall-visa card thinger, which I'm envious of XD My brother Ben got my parents tickets to see River Dance and he got a desk chair he's been wanting for a while.
Hope your guys' Christmases kicked booty. See, I love it when your relatives are all spread out across the country, cause then you get gift cards and cash. Hehe ;3
I went to see the Golden Compass and Sweeney Todd with my brothers a few days ago. The following review is my opinion, so don't take this to heart. I liked the graphics for GC and I could really see how it promotes atheism. But if you went it there without knowing that's what the author was intending, you probably wouldn't catch it. I really like the world they set up, and Pan was adorable. Unfortunately, it was cheesy. I wanted to kick Lyra. That kills a movie for me. Sir Ian McKlellan voiced Iorek, and he also played Gandalf in the Lord of the Rings. The voiced sounded so similar, and that killed it for me too. I still want to read the books, though. Sweeney Todd...wasn't...really my bag. Depp is a great singer and an actor, but I think the basic plot line didn't really appeal to me. And, unfortunately, they showed when he slit peoples' throats. Every time. They could have looked away, but oooohhh noo, they didn't. The blood looked fake (I get nit-picky with special effects), but the openings...those looked real. Kudos for them... *shivers* The guy who played Snape in the Harry Potter movies was a character, and he played a pedophile, which amused me XD And he sings too! They also got the guy who played Wormtail (Peter Pettigrew), which was cool. The movie was funny (but certain people sitting behind me *cough~Castillia~BK-chan* were making fun of it and giggling the whole time) and the songs were cool. I think it's just me, everyone else loved it, from what I could tell. Burton really took a step out from his usual kiddy-horror-demented movies, that's for sure.

Personally...I don't think he looks too bad. I had to go in for a braces readjustment thinger, where the guy actually apologized a few times. He couldn't get the wire through because my molars are rotated, apparently. I don't see how that works, but whatever. I stayed home today cause I'm sick with a cold, and I woke up about an hour ago.
Oh, and ~FoOk-TaRd and I are going to try to do an original manga thing. Try. We tried before in.. 8th or freshman year. We had some character designs and basic plot details down, but we kind of just stopped after that point. I know I was going to with ~DiamondWolf, but it's a helluva lot easier when the person you're working with is in your first period class XD I really don't know how well it's going to work and on my part, we're prolly not going to get far XD, buuut we'll see what happens. I miss the two main characters, though, they were awesome...

They're right next to the freakin' china cabinet in our family room, and when they get more, they'll be moved to my mom's van's trunk.
So, so far, I'll be getting a sleeping bag (yeah, we get gifts our parents think we need, not WANT every year, like toothpaste), pajama bottoms, sweats, and lipstick with lip gloss (WHAT?!).
This is the list so far:
My brother Ben will be getting some pocket planners/calenders (which he asked for).
My brother Doug will be getting I Am America and So Can You by Stephen Colbert, and some clothes, I think.
Someone will be getting a digital picture frame that downloads your pictures and does a slide-showy thing, which I have a hunch will be either my gramma, one of my parents, or my brother Adam.
Yes, I am the horrible child that peeks at her presents before she gets them XD They've never caught me once <3
I'm curious, though, my mom seems to send us messages with the contents of some of our presents. Like toothpaste, TicTacs, gum, bathing items, etc. Though I think I've told her I don't chew gum and I don't like TicTacs. Wonder how she'll try to dent our ego bubbles this year...
My brother Adam is stationed in South Korea and he went to Japan for a few days and he asked me to send a list of stuff I wanted. I asked for Wolf's Rain, Ginga Densetsu Weed, Ginga Nagareboshi Gin, Ginga Densetsu Riki, and Gedo Senki (the Studio Ghibli film not in America yet) manga/anime/stuff, and I'm super stoked to see if he got anything x3
A new Starbucks opened up up a nearby street where I live and I'd really like to goooo, but it's freakin' cold and it's a walk entirely up hill for about 20 minutes. Not to mention I might get hit on that street XD

The actress who will play Bella in the upcoming Twilight movie has been announced on Stephenie Meyer's News ! It's Kristen Stewart, who's played Melanie in the movie based off the novel, Speak. Production of the movie starts February 2008. Movie production doesn't take that long, does it? I dunno, maybe we could have the movie by the end of next year! I've got my fingers crossed!
You have NO. Idea how happy this makes me. I loved Speak as the book and the movie, and I could see her doing Bella the instant I saw that movie. Stephenie Meyer posted people who she thought would be good for the characters, and Kristen wasn't one of them. I thought it would be a sure thing that one of her choices would get it, even though they say she doesn't get an opinion in that. And then... Kristen Stewart gets it. I'm on cloud nine right now... *le sigh* And she's the perfect age!

What program do you use for your digital pics?
-I use theGimp, a free and legal digital program. I had Photoshop 7 and Illustrator about a year ago, but my dad killed our computer.

-Nyyeerr, I get on. Not often, cause I don't have much to say. Shoot for a Friday or weekend.
Why are you taking so long on my trade/request/collab?
-I'm slow, I know :'< I can get a pic done when I know what I'm doing, but motivation is my issue. If you're not on my to-do list, I've probably forgotten you. But no matter what, I will get it done. Don't worry, I'm not completely hopeless.
How did you get your Ginga Densetsu Weed mangas?
-The first three volumes were published in English a few years ago, but then they stopped, and the publisher has since gone out of business. My copies are used and I bought them cheap off of Amazon.
