On the 1st my friend Richie from New Jersey came to visit and we had all kinds of awesome fun just hanging out and joking around. He got to stay for an entire week this time, it's usually only a couple of days, if that that he stays. So he got here on Saturday the 1st and on Wednesday the 5th, Adam picked me up from work and when I came out, I gestured for him get out of the drivers side so I could drive home. When I get to the window he tells me that I can't drive because we have one more stop to make and he can't tell me where it is, so I get in the passenger seat. He starts driving and tells me that we're going to play a game and the game is, Richie is going to play a sound clip (I'm assuming from his cell phone) my job is to guess who said it, how long ago I heard it and where it was that this happened. So I'm thinking "okay this is weird but whatever, might be fun". Adam tells Richie to play the clip and I'm waiting to hear it but I don't hear anything, so Adam tells him to play it again and suddenly from the back seat I hear my friends voice say "Hippopotimees" (I know that's not spelled correctly I did it on purpose because the word was not pronounced correctly either ) and I just turn around and my best friend in the entire world, Heather pops up from the floor of the car where she was hiding under a blanket. I was so happy to see her that I started crying and laughing at the same time. I hadn't seen that girl in 3 years. It turns out that as a birthday gift, Adam flew her out to visit for a week from Michigan. So all 4 of us were having the time of our lives until Richie left on Saturday the 8th and Heather on Wednesday the 12th. I miss her like crazy now that she's gone, but it was good to have her here while it lasted.

During that time period, Richie paid for me to get a new piercing (spider bites on the left side of my bottom lip) as a birthday gift. Heather being here was a gift in itself and Adam got me a ton of other stuff. My actual birthday was yesterday the 15th and I turned 21 (FINALLY!) and tonight Adam and I and a TON of friends are going to a (for lack of a better term) strip club in Springfield Massachusetts called Mardi Gras for drinks and tons of fun. So all in all it's been an amazing 16 days so far.

Also, things at work have been going well so not as many people have been getting on my nerves, I would like to find a new job preferably one that pays a little more but I don't see that happening anytime in the near future. I've also been shooting a lot more lately and am just waiting to get photos back from photographers and stuff.

Adam, Austin and I are going to New Hampshire this weekend took, for the Fourth...though I'm not going for the same reasons they want to...I hate fireworks (well the noise at least)I'm just going because I haven't been camping in so long. Anyway, enough of this....(I don't really like updating but I feel like I need to sometimes to let you all know that I"m at least alive). Other news: My kitten is doing well. She's a monster but she's adorable and I"ll be posting some photos to my scraps soon. I've had a few shoots lately that went nicely, now I'm just waiting to get the photos from one of them. I got a raise at work...after having been there for a year...I"m starting to sell my crocheted and knitted garments, blankets and amigurumi, and have had business cards printed for this that should be arriving in the mail any day now. And for the best and most exciting bit of news, I'm getting my first tattoo done today. It's a large Celtic knot work piece and it will cover my right side. The artist is the ever amazing Kevin Stiles I can't wait to get it done and get some photos taken to put up, I"m super excited and little nervous...but I think I can handle it. Today is Adam's 34th birthday (though he doesn't look 34 at all...maybe 24) and I'm spoiling him rotten. I got him a t-shirt he mentioned and he seems to love it, I baked him a lemon cake and we're going to dinner later on also. When we get home from the restaurant, we're gonna watch a movie and gorge ourselves on junk food.

Today I'm also getting a kitten, I"m leaving shortly to pick it up and then I'm going to the pet store to get food and stuff for it...I'm super excited because I've been wanting another one since my last was catnapped by some woman who lived in our complex. I can't wait to bring the cuddly little thing home

A couple of weeks ago I also got my hair cut short (okay not short short, just shoulder length) and it's all blue now, no more black. This had to happen because we had a bleaching accident. we usually use a 20 volume bleach on my roots before we put the blue in, well this last time we did the 20 vol. on my roots and my friend Addam (the one who does my hair) decided he wanted to get some of the black out. So he used a 30 vol. on the black portion of my hair (like the instructions said to use) and we put a bag over my head to let it process....well about 5 mins later I could feel the heat from it but didn't think much of it until I got an itchy spot and I reached up to rub my head (no scratching I'm a good girl) and it felt like the bag was melting to my head, so I told Addam and he pulled the bag off....my hair was steaming! so I jumped in the shower to rinse it out and when I conditioned it I was pulling out large clumps of hair...everything was breaking off from the black down. I guess what happened is the bleach reacted with the metal in the black hair dye and it burned the hair (I didn't know there was metal in the black dye) so I lost all the hair in the middle of my head from the black down, and went to the salon the next afternoon for a nice new haircut that I love....but anyway sorry about the long story, I just thought it'd be kind of fun to share. There have also been some problems with the moving. The closing date was supposed to be today but because somone screwed up the paperwork it looks like it'll be on Tuesday. We can't stay here past the 28th (tomorrow) so we'll most likely be staying with some friends for a couple of days or holed up in a hotel until the closing happens and I have to go back to work on Sunday grrrr....I need to find a job in Colchester....

Adam and I have a room mate who has bought a house, or a duplex rather, so in March we're moving from Manchester to Colchester (Connecticut). I'm excited about the move, because we'll have more space and a spare bedroom that will (I hope) eventually turn into my crocheting/knitting/altar room. All of my yarn and needles and hooks take up way too much room where we are now and I have no storage that or anything else. But anyway, on to the annoying bit.

For Yule, Adam bought me a computer game called Left 4 Dead, you may have heard of it. I really really really want to play this game.....but I can't until I get a new computer because this piece of shite is so bogged down and there's nothing I can do about it at the moment. So the money I get from photo shoots is going directly to my "new computer fund" I'm halfway there, but I most likely won't get the new one until after we move...it all depends. If any one was wondering why I don't update my gallery here or my portfolio on Model Mayhem..it's because I have no room on my shitty computer for new photos and when I put a disc in the drive to upload from it, my comp shuts down before I can even begin....stupid thing. Anyway, I'll stop boring you, just thought I'd share a little of my boring life for once haha. Hope you're all well.

Also, right now I'm aching to shoot. I haven't had a shoot since early September because of my crazy crazy work schedule it's driving me nuts. I usually have Tuesdays and Fridays off but most photographer can only shoot during the weekends and I'm unable to oh well, I'll find someone who wants to shoot during the week...hopefully soon.


On Samhanin (or Halloween) Adam and I are driving to Northampton Massachusetts to see our friends Addam and Kim and on November 1st we're going to the Witches' Ball in Salem Mass. I'm excited and can't wait for the fun. I took 4 days off of work just so I could go haha. Also, our room mate Travis is currently looking very hard for a new place for all of us to live because our current residence is most likely going to have it's rent raised when it's bought by new owners. I just hope he gets a Duplex so I can have my cat (Travis is allergic to cats so we can't live in the same house or apartment with him and also have an indoor cat). But anyway, I guess I'm done boring you all now. Just wanted to update what's been going on with me. As soon as I have another shoot I'll post more photos.

So, I'm still working at that store I mentioned in my last journal and I'm having a good time, keeping busy and more importantly, making decent money. I'm saving up so Adam and I can get our own apartment in the near-ish future and his son can have his own bedroom. Also my 20th birthday is on Friday, the 15th and I'm so excited.
EDIT: I got my industrial done earlier today and I love it so far, except for the pain haha. I have to find a way to keep my long hair from wrapping around the barbell though...I'll come up with something! On the night of my birthday my friends Addam and Kim are coming down to spend a couple of days with us to celebrate. I haven't seen them in a couple of months so I'm pretty happy they're able to make it out here. Other than that not much is going on, just trying to take it easy and make time for my crochet projects...and more shooting. Hope you're all doing well. Take care.

I've been having an all around great week. I caught a crayfish (crawfish, yabby, mudbug for those who know them by those names) in the local creek and brought it home so now I have a pet....I haven't named it yet and don't even know if I will but it's really cool. It moulted while I was out of town so I missed it . Adam and I spent the weekend in Northampon Massachusetts for our friend Kim's 22nd birthday...she and her boyfriend Addam are awesome and we did a lot of shooting and dyed my hair (just the roots and back shave) violet so you'll be seeing that soon. And the 2nd thing is, I'm taking a trip to Minnesota on Monday the 19th for my brothers high school graduation! Not sure if I'm excited or scared though, I haven't seen my family in about 2 years and I don't get along with half of them (my mom and uncle to name just a couple) but I'll get to see other family with whom I don't have problems with. Maybe I'll get lucky and actually have a pleasant visit though...we'll see. Other than those two things not much has been going on with me. Adam and I had a car accident last week, but there's no damage to either of the vehicles and all I have is a lot of internal bruising from the seat belt. I was thrown forward and the belt hurt my stomach pretty badly but it feels like it's getting a little better...Anyway, I'm sure you're bored with my rambling now so I'll let you get back to more important things, take care everyone.

I hope none of you get overwhelmed with my posting and decide not to view them as I always welcome and encourage critique from anyone who is willing to offer it. I will be submitting anywhere from 4-8 photos per day so it will be a while before they are all up but I'm determined to get them posted. I'm also working again so I won't have as much time as I normally do otherwise there would be ten or more a day. I am also trying to set up more shoots so there will be more pictures to come when I get them from the photographers I work with, but enough about that.

I haven't been doing a whole lot lately, my computer is still on the fritz so I'm using an external monitor right now. (the back light went out on my laptop monitor and doesn't look like it can be fixed to easily, not to mention I don't have the money to fix this stupid piece of crap) but I am still pretty active online, chatting with people mostly, on a website called IMVU that I recently joined, it's a pretty cool 3D messenger, but it's still in Beta and has some screwy things going on at the moment. I'm working at a store called Party Cite as a "Halloween Expert" for the month of October (only temporary) and then I will be moving on to something new, unless they decide they want to keep me. Today I had a job interview for Barnes and Nobel Booksellers and it went well. I hope I get the job. The pay is kind of lousy but if I get enough hours then I should be able to start saving up again, which I'm looking forward to. The employee benefits like discounts and everything are really good too, I'd get 30% off any book I bought even bargain books, and 50% of everything in the cafe as well as 20% off CD's and DVD's. On another subject, I've been trying to cheer up my friend Richie for a couple of days now. He's going through a really tough time at the moment and I feel bad because I can't help him as much as I'd like too. He's a good guy but he's not being treated too fairly right now. They were both wonderful to work with and they were polite and easy going the entire time, making it a lot better for me being a beginner and all. We don't have a definite date set up yet but I believe in the upcoming months I will shoot with them again and take some fun easter shots. I'm still coming up with ideas. I will be posting some of the shots from yesterday later on when I have them resized and ready to upload. You will notice that not all of them are nude, for some reason people tend to jump to conclusions about modeling being only nude work I guess, but that's not all. I plan on doing casual, fashion and glamor modeling too, and possibly some fantasy stuff later on. I like nude work because there's nothing wrong with nudity and those who think so are only blind in my opinion. I have another photo shoot coming up on Friday, March 16 with Mr. Ron Compton from Creative Images Studio in Avon, Connecticut. We'll be doing a lot of fashion and casual and yes, there will be a few nude. I hope you all like what you see (when I get around to posting it). Things at work have not been going well lately and I'm really pissed off at my boss and one of my co-workers. They treat me differently because I'm a girl (I work at a car wash so they think that I can't handle it because it's a "mans" job). On Sundays when the boss isn't there a guy named Julian is in charge, and it's really hard to understand him when he's talking to you because he's from Argentina and has a very strong accent and a high pitched voice and he's constantly bitching at me on Sundays for stupid things and saying that I'm not doing my job when I am so when he doesn't shut up and keeps repeating the same shit over and over again I get frustrated and angry and I end up yelling at him in return and telling him to leave me the hell alone and let me do my job. His retaliation: telling the boss on Monday when he's there...I can't win. It's also freezing outside right now and my uniform is definitely not warm enough for me to be standing outside for 6 hours or more, and I'm not allowed to wear a black headband to keep my damn ears warm it has to be blue to match the uniform, well correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't black go with everything? It's a universal color there's nothing that it doesn't look good with! I'm think I'm going to quit by the end of the month at the latest, sooner if I get pissed off enough or can't stay warm enough. I know it's not the smartest thing but not only is there discrimination going on because I'm female therefore I'm "weaker", but I can't work with people who start bullshit. I don't take bull from anyone I don't care who you are. If I disagree with someone I'll tell them, no hesitation and I'll continue to be that way regardless of how much trouble it may eventually get me into, and my boss also wants me to work on my day off, saying I need to make sacrifices. I shouldn't have to make those kinds of sacrifices when I'm already working six days a week and doing overtime so I just told him I wasn't going to do it because I had plans and I need to rest and warm up. I've started looking for a new job already because it's best to have a back up when I quit. But if I don't have one right away then I should have one soon, I won't give up until I find something I can do and still stay warm, not to mention have reasonable hours and a couple days off a week at the very least. I'm not a someone who normally get frustrated by things like this, but it's just the combination of things that takes its toll. Well anyway I think I'm done ranting now sorry about that.


I also dyed my hair last Friday and it's pretty different from the color you are all used to to seeing on me so I'll take some pictures soon and post them for you all to take a look at and I hope you like it. I think it turned out pretty nice considering that Adam has never dyed hair before and I let him do this for me.

I'm also going to try and get some editing and stuff done on some of my photos, I've been letting friends do that lately and it's not too bad. I want to learn how to do some of that stuff myself though because I know what I like and it's just a pain in the ass trying to describe to other people what I want you know? My Red Red Robe picture is one that I did myself and I'm really proud of it because I think it turned out great for something that I did haha.

The job search continues, I'm finding it much harder to get a job than I originally thought I would, but that's okay I just hope I get a job before Christmas. It's been five years since I've really celebrated Christmas and I'm really looking forward to it this year because I'll be spending it with an entirely new group of people now that I'm in Connecticut.

I am still doing artist features and I noticed no one commented on my last journal which makes me wonder if anyone actually looked at and checked out the artist I featured in that one, so I will put that artist in this journal along with a new one.
