(BTW, I got my camera. I love it. Love it so much. If anything, however cliche, Holga cameras have taught me to find beauty in flaw, and meaning in the mundane and ordinary. SO, be prepared to see me spamming your dA inbox with deviations when I get back. After all, I wonder what else a Holga can teach me ?)

P.S.-I swear, I'm not going to fall off the face of the Earth, just the interwebs.

Now, I'd like to take some space to say thank-you to all the kind, wonderful, and wise people who have graciously guided, laughed with, and taught me so much on dA. I can't wait to be back here.

Called UPS.

They said they can't take address info over the phone on this order. So now I get to go drive to the UPS pickups place to retrieve it. Which I know is going to be a hassle.

Apparently the newest company owner wants to go all digital. An "out with the old, in with the new!" scenario. So they choose to stop production of a product that made them a household name. Isn't that like cutting off your nose to spite you face?

I love instant film. I love the amazing joy it can ignite in me.
Like after taking a picture, how the sound of a freshly shot photo ejecting makes me all giddy.
Like five-year old giddy.
Like how magical it is to watch a real photo develop before my eyes.
Like how that photo is the only original.

Yeah. So that's how I feel.

K, So yeah, I got my photo's from Dwayne's ages ago. But I'm lazy and just now scanning them.

I need to develop some kind of work ethic.

In other news, I order a bunch of cute Lolita clothes from Body Line. There having a HUGE sale, and I saved so much money. Since Body Line doesn't ship outside of Japan, I used a proxy/auction service. They are so nice! I think it was goodsfromjapan.com, or something like that. I highly recommend them! I just sent payment, so after they get it in, they'll ship it out via EMS mail service. ashasfj. I can't wait .

The prize is a smile from me, AND tell me to take a picture of something. Anything. As long as it is appropriate.

I can't sleep. So I figured, Hey, I haven't done one of these in a while! What the hell, I'll go for it!

1. Polaroid pictures are a hobby of mine. And an expensive one at that. The click and whirring noise they make when being ejected gets me to grin. Even thought I like digital cameras a lot, nothing beats film in my book.

2. Amphetamines rock my world.

3. I think bruises are beautiful. The colors they can produce on skin are lovely, and I like having them.

4. I like the way an empty stomach feels.

5. When I was a little kid, there were no other Asian kids in my classes. Because of that, I thought I was white.

6. I have an insatiable curiosity.

7. Very few people know I play violin, or that I am really in to photography. I've been playing violin for almost 4 years now, and have loved cameras ever since I was 5 years old.

8. Every thing I use for making watercolor pictures has been stolen. And that dosen't bug me in the least.

I Fucking Love This Camera.

Right now, it's running 35mm film. (Don't want to use the 120 roll until I get used to it, and can find a site, or local place to buy 120 film from.)

I wish I could see the look on the lab technicians face, when they see a negative that envelopes the sprockets. Priceless.

I am getting better acquainted with it, so once I get more shots developed, I'll post some.

Tomorrow, school's off, so I plan on spending the whole day shooting. Maybe I'll get some black and white film?

For those who do not know, the Holga [link] is an AMAZING camera.
All dreamy. All awesome. All plastic, baby.

Many things have geared me towards getting one.
A) It's a fantastic-plastic wonder machine
B) I can get a 35mm film adapter for it
C) I live a street down from a Walgreens with a photo lab
D) All of thee above

SEE, FATE EVEN WANTS ME TO GET THIS CAMERA.

XD. If any of my lovelies haven't seen me in a while, it's cause first semester finals are a coming, and it can't stop them.
No matter how hard I imagine the finals tests bursting into flame, it won't seem to happen for me.

Dammit.
