On that note, I will be hanging up my Deidara poof to begin by new costume as Nel, in her Espada uniform, soon, and it’s been a while since I’ve actually been a female character, so I’m pretty excited. Nel’s cool and I’m happy I finally found someone to be from Bleach. The rest of the Akatsuki will be making the transition as well; Itachi will be taking the position of the resident emo kid, Ulquiorra, Tobi will be Grimmjow, Leader/Pein will be Luppi, Sasori will be Tesla, and the rest have ideas but haven’t really committed yet. Were still throwing the idea around.

That takes care of the ‘Nel’ in the title, but what of the Ninetales? No it’s not from Naruto… starting as an idea of our Pein, who got it from who knows where, we will be (hopefully) cosplaying realistic/ human/modern/something like that interpretations of Pokemon characters. Pein will be Mew and it looks like I will be Ninetales, with my bestest friend ever, Takun (Sasori), accompanying me as Vulpix. But that was just a suggestion my friend gave me. I’m open to any and all suggestions as I have no idea what I’m doing here. I’ve been a little caught up with everything else to put much thought to it.

Now this leaves me with the Mobile Market portion of my title. That’s not what it’s going to be called but, hey, it’s a working title for now. Like it sounds, the Akatsuki will be opening shop at Metrocon 2008, hopefully offering a variety of cosplaying accessories and fun stuff. We have a basic outline of products to be sold but were open to any and all suggestions anyone has to offer. Were thinking small though, as the ‘Mobile Market’ has to be…well mobile. But we are most definitely taking commissions which we can make and then deliver at the convention, same as our artists, Takun, the lovely artist that shares this name (and who screams at me every week to take all her “crappy old drawing” down…I have obviously ignored her), Pein (who can be found at her username ‘jaicy’. I’d do the cool icon thing if I knew how…her name's under my watchers), Kakuzu, and Konan, will also be taking commissions both before and during the convention.

So that’s about it for future plans… Now awaiting approval, suggestions, and impending brain implosion. This has been Kyon, over and out. *cue static*

To start, my friend came back from Colombia, where he has been living for a year, and is now going to go to school with me. Yay!

We all got to hang out and make him a cosplay for Yasumi which was this past weekend.

He got to meet and hang out with all of my cosplay buddies and most of Akatsuki Inc. at said Yasumicon, and he got along well so he is officially part of our group.

I had a great time at the con. There is nothing like 20 people telling you that you are amazing or "the best Deidara they've ever seen" to do wonders for your self esteem....Is that wrong?

On Saturday, we actual wrote or first skit, which I then fleshed out and typed up, and then on Sunday we partcipated in our first Cosplay contest. Best, and most shocking news of all...We WON! and not only did we win, but we won 'Best in Show'....I'm still in shock. So, Akatsuki Inc. is officially a cosplay group. Whoot, whoot!

Then all this week I get to relax because my mother is back at work and all I have to do is watch my little sister. That and read three books...actually I read one (The Great Gatsby) yesterday and now I have to finish 1984 and all of Dante's Inferno....

Not even the continual approach of school's looming shadow could put a damper on my day....

Also, the thing that got me writing this journal was not, surprisingly, any of this....It was that I got tagged by shadowsteph (if I could do that cool thing where the icon shows I would....but I can't...yeah). I'm not even going to start on Metrocon, but I am very happy with how our costumes turned out. We almost have the full Akatsuki now. Hell, we even have a cosplay group, Akatsuki Inc. We have a freakin' MySpace for crying out loud. I mean it's cool but it's slightly overwelming.

Also, school will be starting in a month, and I told myself I would get a head start on art this year. So now I'm desperatly trying to get something done for that, while trying to do my summer reading (I'm almost done with 1984) at brushing up on my basic verb forms in Japanese.

But all this aside, the main purpose of this journal, which, as it turns out, is becoming quite long anyways, is to say that my AP scores came in yesterday.

I passed both. Actually I got a four on both of them, which is absolutely remarkable considering how sure I was that I failed physics. Deep down, I wish I would have done better in art, but a four, is a four, is a four.

So, yeah, stuff....Now I should probably stop reading fanfiction and get back to work....

I should...but I probably wont. Oh well, that's life.....

I was trying to make it in the proper style, you know what I mean (Like those titles
that give away basically the entire episode/chapter to the point where it’s pointless to actually read the chapter. Yeah...those).

Surprisingly enough, it didn’t except this title (both the first and second time I’m writing this. Damn You, Deviantart! Damn YOU!). It’s probably because it’s too long…or it could be because of…..nope, you know what, it’s probably just the length.

Anyways, this is Deidara reporting, yeah. Infiltration of the U.S. capitol is complete. It was actually ridiculously easy. All I had to do was go through some metal detectors…and, that was about it. Yeah….I know.

Actually, I’m kind of bored. I was hoping to see some form of explosion during my trip, seeing as their so worried about it (and people don’t get worried if there isn’t a threat, right?), but no such luck. Apparently America is composed of paranoid idiots…or at least the government is…

…Well, we can all agree that there is, at least, one of them there.

Despite my obvious disappointment, I am completing my mission as directed. I’m remaining under my cover. Not blowing stuff up. Yeah. Boring stuff. One of the few eventful occurrences to report are frequent flashing and blinking lights, that would have kept Tobi busy for hours, followed by loud noises, numerous black vehicles, and lots of buff, bald men wearing sunglasses, glaring at anyone they passed. But seeing as I live with Itachi’s ‘go get cancer and die in a fire’ glare on a daily basis, they just looked constipated.

Since infiltration was completed so easily, I have begun developing a plan…No, Leader, I’m not stupid enough to start without back up. But I swear, if you send Tobi again, I’ll kill you. Need I remind you what happened last time (points at chapter 358). Not much help.

Anyways, the plan. So far it consists mainly of the use of clay ducks. And squirrels. Both animas are in overabundance in the region and seemingly ignored. It’s still in the developing stages though….

I’ve moved on to gathering intelligence recently. But I must point out how I still find it terribly stupid that you send the attention deficit pyromaniac with a tendency to be a little trigger happy with his clay, to do he spy job.

I guess I was the best option though, huh? What with Kisame visiting his relatives this summer at Sea World and Itachi spending time with his pet- I mean, brother. Yeah, brother. Kakuzu has about four jobs and Hidan is possibly the only worse possible option than me seeing as he would kill everyone…not that great get when ‘keeping a low profile’. No wait, I take that back, Zetsu would be worse. He’d eat everyone. Tobi, scary enough, might actually be in his element here. There are enough idiots. (Don’t you dare try to pawn him off on me though! I swear I’ll blow the whole thing to bits if you do, I swear it!)

Right, so where was I? Intelligence gathering, yeah. So it’s going good, but I can tell it is going to be long and tedious. Better make use of this freakin’ ritzy hotel. I still have no idea how I ended up here, seeing as Kakuzu would have an absolute fit if he could see the bill for one night, let alone a week plus, but I’m not arguing. They have this huge free breakfast every morning and free food and drinks from five to eight and these computers all around the lobby with free internet. What the hell? And no, I’m not typing up important secret documents on a lobby computer. I’m using my laptop….that I borrowed from someone else.

Anyways, I’m hoping it’s not going to be too bad, yeah. The info gathering, that is. They have a spy museum, which should prove interesting, or, at the least, amusing. Oh, and they have an entire building devoted to money. They actually make it there. Kakuzu would be in heaven. Thirty two million dollars was only a layer of plexiglass and a five foot drop away. It would have been so easy, just one little explosion. Damn ‘under cover’. Ruins all my fun…yeah. Now I know how Hidan feels when he gets sent on a mission but can’t kill anyone…kind of…not really, but I’m not entirely sure I’d want to anyways.

On the subject of Hidan…. Thanks to you, I can’t walk by the Washington Monument without thinking of some horrible perverted joke you would come up with about it. He has officially infected my mind.

Leader, I expect my therapy to be included in my health care plan.

I’ve also tried to make myself more cultured. I’ve visited at least four different art museums. All with different kinds of art. I’m attempting to learn how to better appreciate all art. I recently went to Megacon 2007. It rocked. It beyond rocked...if that makes any sense. I was Deidara (complete with gravity defying ponytail and eyepiece attached to my face by FREAKIN' latex!!! Yeah!)
It was sooooo much fun I can't even put it to words. Even though I was blind as a bat with an eyepiece.....yeah....that blind. But who needs to see? Sight is so over rated anyhow.

Meet some really cool people at Megacon. And some really scary ones. Didn't get any names though. So they will forever be remembered by their cosplays. But isn't that how it always works out though.

Got some cool stuff. Got a lot of posters. But most importantly, got my friend obsessed with cosplay and conventions. HA! Now I have someone to help me pull together a cosplay group. My current mission......an akatsuki cosplay....and I might actually be able to do this, *gasp*!

To Do:

Deidara- Nothing really. Touch up stuff, fix the ring, the bangs...oh and remake the eyepiece cause the manga shows it somewhat differently (COLOR!)

Itachi- Nothin' 100% completed...kinda

Kisame- Make Samahada from cardboard (fun, glueing hundreds of little triangles on a big block, Yay!), figure out what paint to use, get Julian the pattern/ fabric/ stuff for cloak and make sure he actually makes it, make sure Itachi finds contacts online for him, figure out hair (?wig?)

Sasori- Make chestplate thing (making a girl a shirtless puppet guy is not all that easy), paint on and attach chord to chestplate, make back blades from cardboard and attach, wig...No Cloak!!!! Huzzah!

Zetsu- Find someone to actually be Zetsu *sweatdrop*

Tobi- Find cheap short black wig, find tight mesh wire stuff to make into Tobi's mask (think fencing mask thing) and paint on pattern. And that's it. I love it when people already have they're cosplays together. Makes my life easier....

Leader- Make cloak or get her to make cloak. Get Itachi to find cheap red contacts. Make Kakashi mask for lower half of the face. Figure out what paint to use for the rest of the skin. Make wig (hairspray man, hairspray)

Orochimaru- Refit old cosplay, make other half of the ass bow (I forgot the loops, it's just the two gravity defying ends), find contacts, get that cake make-up stuff (even if she's already deathly pale)

Hidan- Find a definate Hidan and make scythe.....yeah....it's a cool scythe.....

Kazuku- Is that even spelt right? Probably not. Anyways, need to find one first....

Blue haired dude- Get blue hair dye for person, get pattern and stuff for them for their cloak, make mask with ? on the front (same kind as Tobi's)

uh...I think that's it.....possibly a Sasori's puppet too, oh and maybe a Sasuke or Gaara......

I'm going too kill myself one of these days.....
