In an effort to appeal to the more realistic aspects of our world, I am announcing Gaia Art Commissions in an attempt to start a guild for panic attack support.

Sound odd? It should. There are a lot of people who suffer from panic attacks, adrenal dysfunction, and the depression that often accompanies it (including myself), and the worst part about it is that you always think you're alone.
Due to the anonymity of the internet, it can be easier for people to access help without leaving their houses, spending money on therapists, or having to talk to people face-to-face about it (sometimes one of the worst fears).

The commissions are cheap. Only 200 gold. All of the payments will go to the guild fund, and once it is created, all purchaser's names will be put up to show off your TOTALLY AWESOME NATURE. D:<

She was like my own grandma. She'd buy me random things like socks and candy, and she was the most selfless person I know; it just... came as a huge shock that she died so suddenly. I loved her so much, and it still doesn't seem right that she had to leave so soon... she was only 65.

Last night's post was just a product of several surreal incidents which had occurred... I won't try to rationalize it, because it's still very much of a shock to me, but... I'm doing better. I just needed some time to recover.

A lot of things are going to change in my life right now, and even if Shane's grandma had not died, then I'm not so sure I would be on deviantart as often anyway.

2. Give a Brief Explanation on their overall personalities.
- Walker's pretty gruff... he's spent most of his life being a 'leader' and has a hard time being undermined.
- Hexus is... eh... well... Hexus. XD
- Blackavar is very, very introverted, and rather apathetic in an insane kind of way.
- Marie lives life like there's no tomorrow. She's very optimistic.
3. Is there anything that inspired your characters? Movies? Songs? Fandoms?
- Walker was partly inspired by a picture I saw of a dude standing in the desert. Also ninjas. Lots and lots of ninjas.
- Hexus was seriously (to the bottom of my heart) created on the spot without any kind of inspiration except my need to have an NPC for my vampire game.
- Blackavar was inspired by this one guy's book... Sandman, I think it was called. NOT NEIL GAIMAN'S VERSION! But a big chunk of his inspiration comes from Blackavar the rabbit from Watership Down. Read the book. Then you'll know.
- Marie was hugely inspired by Mimi from Rent. Her personality, however, is more accurately attuned to Audrey, from Atlantis.
4. If you could associate your each of your characters with one person, who would it be?
- Walker would have to be Coburn from the Priest series. Coburn's so much cooler, though. XD
- Hexus... wtf... um. Johnny the Homicidal Maniac? Shit, that's so cliche. XD
- Blackavar might be Azam Ali. She's a girl, but Blackavar's feminine, dammit.
- Marie would be Rosario Dawson, for obvious reasons.
5. Anyone who could make a good voice actor for your characters?
- omfg... a year ago, I said it would have been Anthony Rapp (Mark Cohenn from Rent), but now I'm thinking a better match would be Aaron Lewis (Lead singer for Staind)... Or maybe Gibby Haynes! God.. if only his voice was lower.
- Hexus would be Paul Kandel. Hands down. You'd know him as they guy who played Clopin in Disney's the Hunchback of Notre Dame. XD

- WALKER WOULD BE THE ANGSTY HERO. No... angsty villain. Wait... angsty sidekick. Something angsty, for sure.
- Hexus' role would be as the seemingly innocent guy who suddenly goes nuts on everyone, and kills them all. :3
- Blackavar would be some kind of creepy messenger, or a mysterious voice. Someone who sets the main character in the right direction.
- Marie'd work well as a side-role, sometimes stepping in to help the hero with their problems.
9. What kind of animal would they be?
- A rhino. I don't know why. That's just the first animal that came to mind. Walker is a bit rhino-ish, right?
- Hexus would be a rat. He's scrawny, diseased, and dirty. XD What more do you need?
- omg... Blackavar would be a snake. Or not. I really can't think of a good animal for him to be.

XD

Overall, I gave it a 6/10. It wasn't very impressive, and I was a little disappointed in Tim Burton because most of the movie seemed to be centered around blood and gore. I guess that's to be expected, though, since it WAS Sweeney Todd. Nevertheless, the movie ended with a good twist. But there were still loose ends that needed to be tied up.

OMFG ALAN RICKMAN AND JOHNNY DEPP SANG A DUET AND I HAD TO GRAB THE ARMREST ON MY SEAT TO KEEP FROM GIGGLING.
Srsly, though, this had to be Rickman's most evil role, even next to Robon Hood: Prince of Thieves. He friggin' killed a little kid for god's sake! That and he wanted to marry his own daughter XD

It's the most simple way to keep track of everyone's plans/lives. That way, when Shane and I make plans to have movie nights and parties, we can update our journals and not have to worry about any members being left in the dark about something.

So Colton, Zach, and Mike, please create Xanga journals, and tell David to do so as well. He's getting pissed because he keeps thinking I forget about him, BECAUSE I DO. I forget about a lot of people because the GSC has grown substantially since it's conception three years ago. A Xanga is the best way to keep track of plans.

You guys don't have to update them or anything... just make sure you check either mine or Shane's blogs every once-in-a-while. In fact, you shouldn't even have to check the blogs themselves because Xanga informs you by e-mail whenever a friend updates their site.

I'm right handed, but it's, like, I can't hold a goddamn pencil like I'm supposed to, and it's supported by my ring finger instead of my middle finger, AND THAT'S HOW LEFT-HANDED PEOPLE HOLD A PENCIL. WHAT THE FUCK.

Are somehow still in the middle ages? Did we not clearly prove that left= not evil? IN KINDERGARTEN THEY FORCED US TO BE RIGHT-HANDED LIKE GOOD LITTLE PRISONERS, BECAUSE WE WERE MINDLESS DROOLING CHILDREN, AND COULD NOT STAND UP FOR OURSELVES. Yes, this is the most glorious time to implant LIES into a child's skull.

If I could go back to any point in time with the knowledge I have now, it would be to September 18, 1993, 9:35 A.M. And I would stand up on the brat-sized tables with my power-ranger action figure in hand, with my elastic waist-band topper jeans pulled up intimidatingly past my chest, and I would raise my left fist as a symbol of liberation to all of my comrades.
After that, I would proceed to lead my glorious army of five-year-olds through the halls on a rampage of freedom, while chanting the theme of "Rainbow Sing-a-Long" in the hope that every oppressed child in Stevenson Elementary School would stand and fight with us. I realized yesterday that I need to start coloring like I draw, which is some kind of crazy-ass combination of random lines on the paper, which somehow make a pretty sketch.

I'm also going to try sketching my stuff with a pencil instead of photoshop. For some reason, it just works better.

SO, HAY, IF YOU WANT SOMETHING, TELL ME. SRSLY. I'm going to have waaaaay too much time on my hands, and I don't want to get into an unmotivated slump.

There is an update here, though. I just got an e-mail from my advisor at MCAD that I'm now eligible to go to their school next fall! They still have my statement of purpose essay, so basically all I need to do is update my info from Heartland, and I'm home free.

However... at the same time, if I went next fall, I'd have to take preliminary classes. My whole purpose for going to Heartland was to get pre-reqs out of the way so I wouldn't have to spend $120,000 at a 4-year school. I'm really, really torn between staying at community college for another year, and just going to MCAD.

I don't know... what do you guys think?

I remember it like it was yesterday, too. We were all gathered in Brandon's basement, with Kevin and Colin, and Dylan : ). Brandon mentioned the word 'vampires' and it was like everything was good with the world. We played The Requiem, and I can recall exactly when I opened up Bloodlines: The Hidden, saw the picture of the Khaibit, and immediately thought of Walker, right on the spot.

God... back then, he was, like... 20, I think. Nostalgia is so great. I miss those days with puzzling roleplay, and as much as I love the group now, it wasn't so much hack-and-slash back then. Oh my God, do you guys remember we had the house in Bloomington? And there was that crazy-ass werewolf, Nicky, that Colin accidentally made into his ghoul? XD
There was that creepy house across the street, too, where her sister THE VAMPIRE HUNTER lived, and Walker totally snuck in, and almost got caught with Morpheus in the attic when they all came home.

OH MY GOD, remember Debbie the Teacup?!?! XDXDXD

And, man.... I could never forget the night Walker was trying to seduce an orphan kid into becoming his ghoul, when Steve Hammer showed up, and blew out his fucking kneecap with ONE FINGER. I miss Dave and Cheryl. They always made the best, multi-dimensional characters... what a great year '05 was.

They didn't gas me because I wanted to be awake for the procedure, and let me tell you that hearing someone grind a tooth out of youre skull is one of the most disgustingly strange noises ever. They ended up not taking the lower right one (#17) out because the left one was giving them trouble, so I get to go in again, yay.
Shane's been nice, and brought me movies and stuff. He went to the hockey game with Kroskoff, and sent me pictures of it via cellphone. Pudding and applesauce get old after a while.

I've totally been busting the moves on my classes, and DESPITE ALL ODDS, my art portfolio recieved an A+ yay! Because it is filled with all manner of artistic monstrosities, however, NOTHING WILL BE SHOWN HERE. So go read a book, or something.

Also, Soul Reaver is, like, the best game series ever. Raziel is a hot punkass even though he's just, like, a jawless skeleton man. Blood Omen is also kewl though because you can KICK CATS. HAPPY FUN TIME IN VAMPIRE-LAND KICKING DEFENSELESS ANIMALS WOOT.

Have you guys ever had vertigo? ISN'T IT AWESOME? One minute you're just standing there, and then you're ON THE FLOOR ALL DIZZY AND STUFF. It's like drugs, except not.

BUT BEFORE I GO, I MUST MAKE ONE ANNOUNCEMENT FOR PROSPECTIVE ANIMATORS:

Disney is in the midst of their fisrt 2D animation project in over five years. Yes, that's right, it hasn't suffered the death that most have claimed, rather, it has been sleeping. The movie will be called The Princess and the Frog, and will star Disney's first ever black princess in the setting of Jazz-age New Orleans. Rumors have circulated that it will be rated PG13, but I wouldn't trust those sources.
It will supposedly be released in late 2008.
