WELL. Everything's been good here. Had the flu these past few days, but I feel better now. :3

I'm also working on assembling a portfolio. I have decided that as a career, I'd like to illustrate (maybe even write) children's books. I have two possible publishing companies to talk to. I need to make a portfolio to show them my style and skills and hopefully impress them x) I have a long way to go and lots of practice to do, though! At this point I feel my art is not yet ready to become illustrations. More practice for me!

And a big thank you to all my watchers! I'm happy you guys are checking out my gallery and faving my pics. You guys are great! Thanks for everything :) And thanks to all you viewers for stopping by.

SO here's an update.

Tomorrow, Wednesday, and Thursday I have ACT and MME..ugh D:
I just want to get it over with. But I'm scared if I get a low score, I'd feel so stupid. And I hate that feeling |D;

Other than that, school and work are going well. I've been doing some traditional art, more than just a sketch but not a full fledged pic..doe sthat make sense? ANyways, I can upload some of them if you'd like. They're pretty neat :3

I also drew a picture of an orange tabby cat but am too lazy to do all the upload stuff with it |D; AGH.

Been doing lots of digital work, though. One piece in particular I have spent more time on. Dunno when it will be don,e but I feel that it is one of the best digital pics I have ever done. :D

I've been hiding from my problems. Now that I'm off the Internet, it's time to face them.

I've been a member of SRON since July 7th, 2005.
So that makes it roughly two-and a half years. I've been an administrator for over a year now.

Last Saturday (Feb. 2nd) I had a breakdown.
Because I am so completely unhappy with my art...
I also believe that, deep down, SRON is part of the problem, too.

I love SRON so much. For the past two and a half years, I've spent countless hours on the oekaki. My typical browser format is pretty much like this (I use Firefox, btw) :
First tab, SRON homepage. Refresh every 30-45 seconds.
Second tab, typically an open canvas, just there so I have quick access to it when I want to draw.
Third tab, the Suta-Raito Advanced oekaki (SROA). Refresh every minute and a half or so.
Fourth tab (or more) of Youtube videos to watch. I watch the same videos. Everyday. Usually once or twice. What does that mean? I'll take my typical videos. Time: 3 minutes, 13 seconds, 4:21, 1:46, 3:58, 9:15, 4:35. 4:39, 3:38, 1:30, and 1:07. Add it all up, and we get 32 minutea and 89 seconds of YouTube videos- and that's not even counting the ones that I watch more than once!

But this isn't about YouTube, so let's just put it away.
This is more concerning the oekaki.

I'm an administrator at SRON. I have been for probably, a year and a half now. Everyone who knows me knows I love being an admin. I take it seriously, but sometimes I have some fun with it, too.
But then comes the stress. Stress stress stress!
Editing/deleting rude comments. Watching out for undertimed pics. Help tryouters learn how the system works. Handle issues bewtween members. Stopping drama- as fun as it is, this is really stressful, as well. ANd, of course, harassment. Ye,s harassment. For being an admin.

I love being an admin, I really do...but god damn, it's hard sometimes. Believe me, you have NO idea how hard it is to be an admin if you've never done it. (And I mean admin's at BIG oekakis like SRON, not like little tiny ones with 9 or 10 active members).
It's frustrating.

Hell, lately, even the WHOLE oekaki is frustrating. Some members can be very harsh and rude, and when I try to talk to them about their actions all I get back is "lol". Some members are concieted. Some aren't even intermediate (by my standards). Some break the rules and try and cover it up. "Ohhh, I'm sorry, I'll be careful about my pictures next time!" Oh look, next day, they break the same rule again. Fantastic. What in the name of god is so hard about following the rules?! ANd such simple rules, at that! It's so /fucking/ irritating. Oh, and then we get tryouters who either refuse to follow the rules or make some serious drama get brought up. Oh, and what fun drama is! Watching members point fingers, swear, and try to destroy the opposing views. Sure, it's fun to debate once in a while. But sissy fights? No. They get out of hand so easily and the members get REALLY riled up. I come in and stop it- OH WOOPS I'm being a bitch now for trying to keep the oekaki calm and without such crap going on. And what about those members that just simply like to harass other people? Heh? What happens next, you ask? Take away their flags. OOPS there I go, I'm a bitch again for trying to teach someone a lesson /and/ keeping the oekaki under control. And spammers. Wonderfulk spammers. Click click click, delete pic, delete pic, delete pic.
And there's such a lack of variety in it, too! All this anime/manga pics and fluffy dogs/cats that have outrageous designs with piercings, hair, colors, clothes. I'd love to see more cartoons, or semi-realism or even realism. Let's stop drawing the bandwagon crap. Start drawing the real stuff. Break free from the crowd- develop your own style!

Is all this pressure worth it? Should I resign from being an admin? Should I even go as far as to leave the oekaki?

I need honest answers, please.

EDIT EDIT EDIT: I measure my time in computer hours. When I come home form school, I do homework. And I watch the time. Every minute I spend on homework is one less minute I can be on SRON. When I come home, I have roughly 6 and a half hours of time. All I see is the fact that my time on the computer for that night is diminishing.
My world revolves around SRON.
