Where to start....

I found a new job after Fry's let me go (on the day before my birthday). I work at a small privately owned computer repair shop now. I'm at work right now actually X3. The owner also has 2 other stores but this one is the slowest so I have a lot of down time ^^. The hours are kinda long and the pay isn't that great but it's tons better than Fry's. Slowly getting back on track to finding my own place again.

We got a new room mate, the awesome Has come to join the tiger family. And personally I'm glad to have him around ^_^.

Not much in the way of other news. The most recent little light in my life was being accepted for the early release of the new Xbox 360 update. I got it on Saturday night, now I can browse netflix without leaving the Xbox and I can buy clothes for my avatar X3. (I already bought a shirt). And lots of other neat little new details.

In closing I just wanna say something to those that still follow me here and on FA. Even tho I might not act like it, I really do appreciate every single view, pageview, comment, and fave that I get. Thanks for sticking with me ^^.

I want to be a better friend and a bigger part of the community, any ideas on how to do that?

Well I'm 24 now. This birthday wasn't the greatest ever but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I got Ghostbusters AND Prototype, and even 4000 MS points to spend X3. My wifey made me an awesome chocolate cake. Also got 6 months worth of DA sub thanks to a couple of very generous donors =3. Oh and also I lost my job .

SO as some of you know by my previous journal, today was and my 3-year wedding anniversary. We started the day at Central Market getting some fresh food to eat in the park. We got just over a pound of fresh ground Bison to grill for burgers. Those were awesome burgers =3. We continued later by going to see Watchmen. I definitely recommend seeing this movie, whether you're read the comic or not. (I haven't yet) And to top off the day we had dinner for two and some wine at Carino's. Overall it was an excellent day ^_^

Yes I know I'm back a day early. Overall Furry Fiesta was a great time! We met the lovely and lively FarelleMoon and got a commission from her that we should see in a few weeks. She was such a character and we had a wonderful chat =3. We also got badges made by a crazy little lady by the name of . She did a wonderful job, money well spent =3

My first reaction to the convention was "Wow this is small!" Of course my perspective is a little skewed form attending A-Kon for the past 3 years with THOUSANDS of other people. This con seemed a lot more calm and friendly, and with furs involved, that's saying something X3. We also got to be a part of Furry con history! Furry Fiesta broke the record for first year attendance to a furry convention! No other furry convention in the past or STILL in existence had a first year like this one!

I do wish there had been a little more to do, but for the first year you can't really expect TOO much. We browsed around the artist den and the dealer den. and Michele Light were both selling stuff in the dealer room along with others, I bought a shirt with some of King Cheetah's art. We spent WAY too much money this weekend X3.

Only a couple things that I was disappointed about, but that's no fault of the convention, just my own social ineptitude. I didn't make any new friends, idunno why it's so hard to talk to new people. It feels like EVERYONE there knows at least someone else there, yet no one knows me and I didn't really know anyone else. It felt kinda lonely. Also I do wish I had gotten the names of the few furs that we did meet. Jess and I were sitting in the bar area where we were greeted by a cute busty mouse. And later I got a hug, some scritchins AND nuzzlins by a cat and a tall otter. I wish I had gotten all their names

Furry Fiesta was a very good way to spend our weekend and we're already getting geared up for next year. One thing is for certain tho, this will be the last convention where we DON'T get a room X3.

First off, as I'm sure some of you know I have built a new computer to replace my old one.

I got a sexy new case from Apeiva. A Rosewill 550W power supply both with nice sexy blue lights and huge yet quiet fans. A Gigabyte motherboard with nVidia nForce 570 SLI northbridge and supports up to 16 GB of RAM. The brain of the thing is a AMD Athlon 64bit dual core processor. 2 gigs of DDR2 ram by Corsair. A nVidia Geforce 8500 GT DDR3 video card shreds thru games and such, and a brand new 250GIG SATA hard drive. I love it

In other news I'm going to school for A+ certification for the IT field. I hope this can help me get a really good job and secure a stable future.

Also, I've been trying to draw a bit but I just can't seem to get anything good. I've tried 5 or 6 sketches and I'm not happy with any of them. Idunno, I just can't feel the urge to draw anymore. I may just give up altogether and just become a lurker. It's not like the "community" will be losing much anyway.
