My mom ran a stop sign and drove us out infront of an eightteen wheeler. She's still in the hosiptal, but they're going to let her out tomorrow. I'm not entirely sure I want to see her.

If she had been a foot farther back in the intersection, she would've killed my baby cousin and me.

I know accidents happen, but she was fucked up on pills.

So, updates.

Nothing big happening in Tori land right now. Sick >< Not having the best few days.

Lots and lots of storms this year for some reason. A crazy amount of storms. For the first time in nine years we're not in a drought. Its been raining constantly, or so it seems to me. Tornadoes, too.

The other day me and my mom were coming home from town which is about fourty five minutes away and her boyfriend was following waaaaay behind us in his truck, and he looks up and sees this funnel cloud RIGHT over us XD

We didn't even notice. There was a rainbow, and us two airheads were oogling it XD

Ahh... gooood times. Goood times.

Good thing it went back up again XD

Anyways...

Arg. Giant water leak in my apartment ;-; Found out the other morning at seven AM. I had been hearing drips all night, thought it was raining. NoooOOOOOooo. I was rushing, getting ready for work, when I stepped on a wet patch in the hallway. Horrified that my dog had broken the golden rule, I yelled at her, of course, then realized the wet patch was much MUCH lager than that a chihuahua could create.

But I was walking out the door, nothing I could do about a maybe water leak. Maybe someone had just spilt something in the hallway? So, I went to work to leave my sister, who would wake in an hour or so, to deal with it. She calls the landlady and everythings hunky dory, they'll be over that afternoon.

So I work the day away, toiling about with toddlers, and when I get home I find the puddle in the hallway has grown, and no one's been about fixing anything. So, I decide to do a bit of investigation work.

A bit of a side note: In my room, there are two closets. One is for cloting, cloests to the hallway, and one is where the waterheater is, and also where I store stacks and stacks of books.

Alright, yes, well....

Right, where was I?

Okay. I step into my room and on the threshold, where the carpet meets the tile, and water seeps up. Not a good sign. So, obviosly, there's a water leak. I open the first closet to find it completely and utterly soaked, everything thats in the closet floor has to be removed and put in the living room underneath a fan.

Dreading the worst, or a tidle wave at least, I open the closet door to the water heater. I can't see the drip, but I can hear it inside the walls. The closet has tile flooring, but the carpet outside the closet is soaked through, so I have to move my bed because its just the mattress and boxsprings in the floor against the opposite wall, lest it face imminent doom.

Then, the moment I've been avoiding, I check the books in the floor. The ones on the bottoms of the stacks are all completely ruined, so of course, I start to cry. Then the books in the middle are all dry, but the books on top are all wet.

What a conundrum!

By about this time, I keep feeling something very very hot tapping the topof my head. I look up and realize water is practicalling running off the light bulb. Horrified that this might start an electrical fire, I turn it off and throw away two giant trashbags full of books.

Then I think maybe I should go tell my neighbor above me that her apartment is leaking, too.

It took them three days to get out here just to make the water stop and get us both new water heaters. And, of course, the carpets are still soaked. And no ones been by about that.

Starting to get pissed.

So yes, alost has happened in the past couple months. I am no longer in Texas, but in Alaska! That's right, Alaska XD Going to, you'll never guess, college! Just taking a summer class, but it makes me feel alot better

My mom was kicked out of her fiance's house.

We're officially homeless, with all our belongings in storage.

Today, my mother overdosed on sleeping pills, possibly as a suicide attempt.

She's at the hospital right now.

She's most likely going back to rehab.

THEY WERE WRONG! THEY WERE WRONG!

My cousin DOESN'T have cancer!!! They were freaking wrong!!

(To all of you know have no idea what I'm talking about, the thread titled '...' should help you out XD)

So they get to the big cancer center in houston and the Smart Doctors there find out he doesn't have cancer.

Of course, this was after:

- Almost every member in my family had a nervous break down

- My mom and sister drove 318.0 miles(512.0 km) to Houston

- My Grandmother and Grandfather's (who were already on a plane that had really really bad turbulance and over half the passengers had to leave on an ambulance) plane had a bomb on it, so they had to turn around and go back to the first air port. Finally, on the road, they learn that he doesn't have cancer, and so they just turned around and went home.

- My aunt almost went into labor three weeks before her due date.

- My poor uncle had several nervous break downs.

- I ruined half the clothing in my house with my feeble attempts at doing laundry.

It was all a bit chaotic for a while there.


He had a viral infection.

I have three cousins at the moment. Soon to have four, as I know some of you might know. The oldest is seven, the next five, the youngest three, I think.

Lately, the five year old, he's a boy, his name is Jakob, has been sick. The limphnodes or something like that, in his neck, have been swolen. And it looked as if he just had the flu. He was just a sick little boy.


We found out today he has cancer. Bad cancer.

They're taking him to the cancer center in Houston right now. Except his mom, my aunt, is about to have another baby. The stress has caused her to go into labor. So she can't go. His dad, my uncle, is going, but my mother didn't want him to go alone. So she's gone along with him. My older sister went with her. I've no idea where I'm going right now. I might be flying out to Houston tomorrow morning.

I had a break down this morning. I was home alone, this being my sister's birthday, she went off to my mom's fiance's house because they were going to do something this morning. I hid in the bathroom and had a breakdown. I screamed and cried and pleaded with things that weren't there. He's only a little boy. Five years old. Hasn't been able to live yet. But after I got that out of my system I felt better. I got up and pulled myself together, 'cause other people need me. My mom's trying to be everyone's rock, their touch stone, the solid wall in all of this chaos. I know she can't stand that alone for long, so I'mma help her.

Its easy to pretend this isn't going on. Easy to close my eyes and forget it. But there's an undercurrent of chaos, an undertone of seriousness with everything that everyone's doing.

I won't forget.

The office of Vector Marketing was some tiny little place where the doorknob broke and the paint was chipping on the walls. I had to sit in some little room for about an hour. All they had were those uncomfortable, metal, picnic chairs. And the walls were covered in posters. 'Cept they felt bare XD And they smelled of paint. Which is weird, 'cause the paint was chipping off. So I sat there for almost an hour before I got back into my Real Interview.

I sat there for three minutes while the guy tells me I can't have my Real Interview 'cause I don't have my GED yet --' And so I went home and changed my shoes, 'cause I couldn't walk in the shoes. 'Cause right before that, me and my mom took my gramma's credit card and got me an interview outfit XD I know that was my Christmas, but I don't care XD It was so nice to just... buy the things I wanted without looking at the price tags. And I got the -cutest- shoes. 'Cause I had to wear 'nice' things, but my idea of nice is anything without buckels and straps XD But the shoes really weren't my style, but they looked cute with my pants, so I got them anywya XD

God, I'm horrible XD

So, yes, I went home and changed my shoes, then did... stuff o.0;; Don't quite remember XD And then we got the Xmas tree outta storage and it and two boxes are taking up all the room in the living room. And then I went shopping with my sister and brother-type-person, who's actually pretty kool XD And then I came home and my sister's gone out partying. I much rather like it here, though, so its all good <3

Well... that's how my day went. I'm off to do Tori-stuffs.

1) I'm vain: I care very much about my appearance. I might go out with bed-head and in my pajamas, but inside I care greatly about the way I look. Which is why I love to get my hair cut so much. I think, maybe with a fancy haircut, they won't notice I'm fat. --'

2) I'm selfish: I'm forever thinking about myself first, before other people. I'm nice to other people, because it makes ME feel good. I love to see happy people. Every time I do something, I first think about how it will affect me, and only second of how it will affect others.

3) I'm ... what's that thing when you like 'things' alot?: I like nice things, and I like to have them. I don't go around asking for money, but I don't always turn away when people (friends and family) offer me the money, unless I think its out of pity. I like to have pretty things, clothing and books and art supplies and stuff, and I don't turn down the chance to have them.

4) I'm indecisive: I can't choose one thing or another. I always float between choices. I can't pick just one thing to be good at, one type of fandom to really get into, or what to do about my future. And its left me standing at a crossroads, lost, lonly, and confused.

5) I'm conceited: I like it when people compliment me, and often go out of the way to get compliments. I like it when people see the things I've done, and try to improve just for their compliments. I like it when people like me. And I go around, look at things, to see if my things are better than theirs. And I go around, look at people, to see if I'm better than them.

6) I'm stupid: I used to be so smart. I can't get over it. Ever since I quit trying, it seems like my brain's shut down and I havn't been able to make it think on command like I used to. I don't understand things anymore. And I. Fucking. Hate. It. I hate it now that people are treating me like I'm stupid. Friends and family. Like I can't take care of myself or make my own decisions. Like they know whats best for me. Because they don't.

7) I'm apathetic/lethargic: The biggest one of them all. I care greatly about everything above, I just don't have the will power to change myself. And you know what's strange? I don't really want to change myself.




I realized something today. I really do like the person I've become lately. I'm finally happy with myself. 'Cept with number six. Plan on changing that. Other than that, I'm finally to a point in my life where when I look in the mirror, I don't immidiatly turn around in disgust. I don't look at my self and tell myself that I'm ugly. And when I look over my faults, like I did last night, I don't immidatly hate myself for it. I find that I don't want to change, because that's the person I am. That's the person I've decided to be. And I'm just fine with it.


And I'm finally to this point in my life, where I should be happy.

I dun know how I feel about it. This will be marriage number four, and I like the guy and everything, but stuff's just happening really fast. I know the last three were real sucky ass holes, but meh *shrugs* She hadn't found the right guy yet, and it was bad for us all. I just don't want her to make another mistake. But, its her life, not mine, even if it does affect me.

Oh well, weddings are fun, right?

Alright then, back to business. As you probably don't know, I'm an avid writer, and not just poetry. I just havn't written a story in so long 'cause my brain juices were going to different arts.

But ever since I hearf of NaNoWriMo, I've been thinking of a plot. But now, the stupid story won't stay in my mind 'till November. So, I'm gonna write it now, and do a sequal for NaNoWriMo, even though I know I won't be done with teh first one XD

But, what I need your help with, is a title, and some names. Here's the plot:

After moving to the country, our main character (A female) visites the forests that border her home. She becomes lost, and lays down beneath a tree after night falls, and, intsead of falling asleep, she tries to conserve her energy by meditating. While meditating underneath this ancient oak tree, she discovers that she has found a portal into an alter reality, another world named 'Natyre'. There, all the people are the fun animal people that lots'a you Deviant Arters draw. You know the type People with animal ears and tails. She visits this world back and forth, but only beleivers can visit the world, and only beneath The Tree of the Ancients. There's some conflict with her family, something happens, blah blah blah, and then a happy ending where our main character falls in love with the friend she makes there.

I could go into better detail, but I don't want to bore you ^-^;;;

Alright, I need your help with the name for our main character:

Female
Around 16
Very into the uhm... alterinive new age stuff She likes to meditate, chakras, and stuff like that.
Shy
Very sweet

And a name for her older sister:

Female (of course)
Around 18
Very into herself.
Egotistical
Thinks she has our main character's interest at heart, but is really thinking only of herself.

And, a name for the book:

Either Natyre, pronounced like nature, which is the name of the other world our main character visits.
Or Alter, because she visits an alter reality.
Or Through My Golden Eye, because when she visits, a golden eye opens and glows on her forehead
Or your own suggestion ^-^

Strange, ne? I've been updating alot lately, and *gasp* Coloring things!! Hmm, how strange. What is it, the fourth or fifth sign of the end of the world? 'Cause I can't spell apocolyps X.x'

I applied at Micheals (An art supply store, for all those who dun have one in your city.) Havn't heard from them yet XD I dun think I'm going to, though. Oh well.
