I'm still around. I know, it's been a few weeks since my last deviation. And for that, I blame life. It generally takes preference over the internet. Generally. So I haven't had the time or inspiration to create anything worth creating. But I am still alive and I'm trying not to disappear yet again for months at a time. So if I can, I'll be working on a new deviation or two within the next week. If.

I did take some time to mess with the "v2" gallery features some, and I've loosely organized my deviations. I'll probably come back to it later and screw with it more, but for now, it's at least acceptable. Didn't want to be the only n00b on the dA block that has a v1 arrangement of deviations sitting in a v2 gallery. So I'm not.

In other news that no one actually gives a crap about, I'm getting an Xbox 360 within the month. Which is great. I've typically been a big Nintendo fan, and I'm still a big fan of the Wii (aside from the name), but I've just seen more games that I want on the 360 than the Wii. Yes, I know, Brawl, Galaxy, and Corruption. But those are just three titles. And besides, Halo 3. Seriously. So anyways, I'm excited with that. This'll be the first "current-gen" system I own. The reason being that I am poor.

So yeah. I'm not dead and I'm trying not to be. Have a happy Thanksgiving week. Make sure you stuff your face. I mean really. Stuff it.

First off, big thanks to for plugging me in his journal. Of course, most of you that are reading this are prolly visiting my page because he linked it. But if you aren't, and you haven't seen any of his stuff, go over there for a look. His emotes are friggin hilarious. To me. And prolly you too. Yeah. So, shoo.

So now I'm going to plug something else. If that scares you, don't read further. Otherwise, read on, brave reader, read on. If you read webcomics, read comics, or thought about reading them at any point, look at this. It's a webcomic I started back in March. I haven't done too much with it so far, but if you like my stuff here to any degree, you might want to check it out. So if you have a SmackJeeves account, you know where to find me there. I only update it sporadically, though, so don't expect weekly entertainment or anything.

So thanks again to all the people that have fav'd/watch'd/comment'd/veiw'd/etc lately. You may now return to your respective gluestick throwings.

Journal Layout and Stuff

So here it is, the new journal layout. I spent a few hours getting this together. I wanted it to reflect the art style I've been going for lately in my deviations, and I think I accomplished that for the most part. I've done design with HTML/CSS/all that before, but never with a vintage look, so this was actually a challenge at first, but it got easier once I got going. I'm used to working with those shiny web 2.0 layouts, which are fairly easy to make stretchy, because the colors and gradients are smooth. It was a little harder to do this with the "vintage" look, because there's "uneven" texture.

In other news, Sonic. We all knew it was coming, (especially after the dreadful Mario and Sonic at the Olympic Games was announced) but now it's actually here. Some people are complaining about how non-Nintendo characters are "invading" a Nintendo all-stars game. But I'm happy with it. I think he's looking pretty good in Brawl. Now I'm waiting for some other Sonic characters to be announced.

And you should definitely check out tannermorrow's gallery. It's really good. And he's got a video tutorial on vintage style work that really helped me. He's definitely one of the best vintage artists I've seen.

So I have no idea why I said all that, but I did. Anyway, enjoy the new layout.

I guess I should start using this journal before it rots away completely. That would start to smell.

So I guess I'd like to say thanks to for the 3 month subscription. You should definitely browse her gallery when you get the time. Awesome stuff.

And I got 1,000 pageviews today. Woot.

So if I get some extra time, I'll play around with a journal design and stuff. I'll prolly end up buying a 1-year subscription after this one's up; I think it's worth it.

So yeah. Thanks for stopping by my page/journal. Have a nice day, and check out my gallery when you get the time.
