It was terribly busy as of lately since I moved to Dubai for a new job, I like my new job, I get to travel the world, stay in nice hotels, and get paid to do so, but it took it's tolls on my sleeping habits and my Photography passion.


Anyway, I'm just back with a little something, hopefully you peeps will like it, coz if you don't I'll post MORE

I'm asking for your support in this issue, if you have never heard of HDR -it's simply a type of Photography where you take several photos of the same object or scene with different settings for your exposure, resulting in a composite of several pictures into one final image with a wonderful lighting condition that is hard to maintain in natural conditions-

Now the idea behind HDR photography is that you set your camera, and take several shots then combine these shots into one final photo

DeviantArt staff and admins think this is defined as Photo manipulation and worthy of being added to the same category with other stuff like a computer generated image, or a Photoshop piece of work


what do yo think??

is it considered Photography

or considered Photoshop or other image manipulating product??


Personally speaking I think it's unfair to consider it image manipulation, since we photographers take a lot of time to set one shot and it takes ever more time and effort if there's a model involved

your opinion is highly appreciated, if you'll comment, please state clearly at first wether you think it should be considered "Photography" or "Image Manipulation"

My first Journal here

first of all, I'd like to thank the wonderful people in DA that made that possible, also I want to thank some special people, Sara "addicted2kairo" is one of them, she introduced me to DA, heck she practically drugged me, shoved me in a car trunk and brought me here

I met so many nice people here, and I'm not about to single someone out depending on my Tefal memory


anyway, I had a resolution starting this year to post a single Photo each day

I did so successfully the first two months
except this time in January when I had network problems and in my birthday

anyway point is, I enjoyed posting them, as much as I enjoyed recieving comments and getting to know more people

but I mainly came to DA for exposure and promoting my work

this is not what's happening so far, I have over 60 deviations with less than 500 views, I see the same number of deviations with more than 10,000 views, so I guess I'll be taking a bit of vacation from posting daily, might do it every once in a while, since the main target from joining here wasn't fulfilled

Thanks everyone in DA, I love you all, I'm not done for by any means, just taking a bit of vacation from posting daily, and I'll still be here, probably lurking in the forums, getting to know people and enjoying their work also maybe making more friends to come view my work


Thanks for everyone who watched my work, commented on it, and inspired me to do some work
