Sorta. More on the topic of me on the I Sorta Wanna Tablet But Uncertain If I Wanna Tablet fence. I definitely seems like something that would help me get over my fear of coloring on the computer...but I'm the also the same person who has been delaying for four years in getting better colored pencils cause "if it ain't broke, don't fix it" mentality. Part of me is a thrifty state of mind, wanting to stick with what I have, while part of me is "mmmmm...would be fun ta try this device."

Let's put it this way, I just 'splurged' on a 1.0 and a 8.0 ink pen for just under $5.

So this weekend I'm staring at tablets and seeing if there happens to be any good deals on Ebay. Is there any recommendations out there for a fellow such as myself who wants a basic (aka: affordable) tablet I can play with to get into the compy coloring waters?

Or should I just focus on improving with the mediums I have, or even invest in other mediums? The last revolutions I had in mediums was A) getting actual ink pens to outline my sketches and B) discovering the nifty "I'm Feeling Lucky" button in Picasa. I could stop by Micheals next week...but I digress, is there any advice in general ya want to throw my way that's festering at the edge of yer mind?

UPDATE! - First off, thanks immensely for lending your input for this topic. I don't even know what led me to this tangent, but all of your points of view were quite useful for reaching a decision.

I had decided on a Bamboo Fun, until I realized that the Graphire4 was about the same as that, except an early generation, so I started poking for one on eBay. I saw a possibility to get one for about $20 and leapt upon it...which failed miserably due to someone's exceptional maximum bid.

I decided to just cave and get the Bamboo Fun once again, when ~Kyrahlynn poked me on IM and asked if I'd seen this tablet...which happened to be at the exact price I had written down as an "in my dreams" price for a tablet. To say the least I stalked down and caught the deal before I could change my mind. So, I've bought an unopened tablet that contains no risk of breaking the bank, and I think this shall turn out well.

Thanks again everyone fer dropping advice and have a great autumn as I head forth into this busy season.

Yes, everything you've heard is correct. This is the most absolute coolest movie you shall ever see this summer. Of course, by this point I sound like one of the mindless lemmings. If that is so, I was the lemming in the audience, paws in the air, w00ting at the tentacled maws of alien sci-fi action yelling for a blasted character to get off his tail and use the freakin' mechasuit, before hearing about all this hype. This is a movie that, even if you read the hype, it won't matter, 'cause you will be surprised by the level of quality in both story and action. Personally, I luff action, but not enough to fully enjoy something like G.I. Joe and Transformers. No, I need a movie to literially having me caring about the characters enough to yell "blast those guys to cherry pudding NOW!"

That being said, this movie is impressively violent. How so? That would be spoiling. I'll just say that its choreographed in such a way that though I cringe at gory violence, it pulled it off so that instead of me hiding under my seat, I realized what had happened after the fact and went "whooooooooaaa. That was shweet!" Perhaps I should find this disconcerting that District 9 brought me to that level...still can't find it in my heart to dislike this film in any way. It is a dark and gritty action tale that is great fun to watch and, above all, has heart. The dark humor is blasted well played too...anyone want tossed pork?

I'm so fanboying Chris Jr.

Shouldn't you be saying something about art?

Besides, "Well, due to procrast..."

Point taken.

Terrouge
First off, one of those Things I Never Thought Would Happen Happened. I made a cover for Terrouge's June Issue this month with possibly the first drawing of a certain little squirrel from Redwall which has haunted me for years. (Silent Sam = <3) After being around Terrouge for how many years, I never even thought I'd make something cover-worth (well, when there's been covers done by peeps such as Sean Rubin and Kelly Hamilton)...and then it happened when I wasn't looking. Not that its any revolutionary drawing...but I still think it turned out rather snazzy.

That, and this issue, full of nifty short stories, is worth a look (ooo, dragon tales...) Come on, its a webzine about Redwall and writing. Where could it go wrong? (Plus, I normally do a monthly book review of slightly obscure used books I find from online. READ EVERYTHING! Oh, and I have a piece called "The Swoopiness of Ferrets, Genetics and Time" in there that might be worth a click or something...)

ArtSlam
Secondly, against better judgment, I joined up on ArtSlam. The current artistic sensation that is sweeping the nation, which will consist of me making profiles of a random array of creatures from my "Rewair Tales" universe. I ought to start drawing for that soonish... At the moment, there are hordes of arts that are plaguing my arts page that I ought to comment on too...just to keep in on it.

Writing
Speaking of projects, I'm also making use of my lunch breaks at work when I don't each lunch. A half hour of just clicking things on the Internet didn't seem to be shaving the squirrel, so to say, so I'm making a point, each day, to take that time to quickly right a rough flash fiction. The grammar will be odd, the plot sometimes non-existent, and the characters crooked, but I've found when I force myself to write...I actual come up with some fun things from time to time. So if you want to see that, it's all at my writing LiveJournal Loose Ferrets. Come forth and take a look for no good reason. I just wrote about some odd weasel brothers from a Japanese myth. One of them has a sickle.

Comicking
Along with the ArtSlam, there still be lots of comics on the horizon. Many of which are already sketched out and set to be inked and such. I'm calling it my unofficial biweekly webcomic of sorts.

Miscellaneous
- I gots a wireless router so now can use my laptop, Yossarian, in the comfort of my room.
- I'm attempting to learn basic Estonian phrases for Reasons Unknown. (AKA: I might be offering to send postcards, not certain yet.)
- Keeping on reading stuffs
- ~Kyrahlynn made this really awesome piece of giftart based off this phrase:
"Geo has realized his address is so far away from society that no one in their right mind would wander up this far into the Northwoods. Hence, if anyone visited him at his address, he would automatically know they were a stalker because they wouldn't be just "passing through. End explanation."

The critique is, in a word, rather stupid. It's not bringing any new functionality to deviantArt, its literally just taking a long-standing feature in deviantArt, to have a little note in the comments to say if critiques are desired or not, and stuffing under a "paid-for" feature. And not only that, but they make it into some weird archaic system which seems like a mix between regular deviantArt comments and the ratings system in YouTube comments and then a mutated child came from the relationship and was gawky looking, but was shoved into the spotlight and people started selling tickets to see this odd wonder.

Yeah, sure, I know that this is meant to be for the betterment of artists, to perhaps lure people to make more constructive comments, but haven't people been getting constructive comments if they ask anyway? All a normal person needs to do to get input around here is to interact with the community and ask nicely for some constructive feed back in the drawing description. This can be done still...for free.

And why are the numbers missing from the message box now? I mean, sure, I've seen the sense of most deviantArt changes after a while. The new format, the collections, the message box, so forth, but this one does absolutely nothing useful as far as I can tell. Why take out a long-standing feature, throw some odd flavoring on it, then sell it for $5 a month?

But, I shall not rant long, because I know there shall be many others that shall be ranting and being a lot more intelligent (and/or amusing) in their statements about this odd new feature. (I do approve in the last few months that "No Subscription" now reads "Upgrade Now"...it really takes out that mocking sound that rang in my head every time I glanced at it.)

Perhaps its a small thing...but it seems...rather redundant and pointless.

And on a completely other note...why does inspiration strike at the moment of absolute least free time?

Just a few note as 'spring' comes upon me. (I say this when there is a blizzard raging outside...sorta.)

- Due to some brilliant, BRILLIANT friends on the Interwebs, I have a laptop complete with wireless, a snazzy gift art background (ala ~FlamebloodQuickblade ), a story about the offspring of one of my character (ala ~Sharpfur ), the complete series of Firefly, and various other treats to nibble on. (oooo, Half-Life...) This is literally a dream come true, though doing nothing to settle my disillusioned hopes. Wooooorth it. Any name suggestions welcome.

- Spring Break is here. Ironically enough. Still is stuck in Winter Mode here.

- Met with =Kyrahlynn a few days back. First contact with someone from the realms of online. Rather Awesome experience.

- After spring break, it looks as if I have two jobs after being jobless for a few months. And they are placed directly in line to be taking my evenings away. Argh. So, not as if I'm very active in these parts, but I'll be shuffling to the shadows for a few months, me thinks.

- I'm typing this from my new laptop. w00t! ^^

College
Actually, seems like its going to be a good year, despite the absurd schedule (which isn't that bad because I have a semester of three day weekends, evened out by 8 am to 5 pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. I wonder about the College Fates at times like this). I have a series of Professors that actually seem rather cool, if I do the reading. I really must do the reading. Which brings us to the next topic:

Computer Time
I was going to be all long and gangley on this, but really, I can cut this down to:

COLLEGE: RAR!
Me: WTH?
COLLEGE: *nomnomnom*
Me: My precious free time!
COLLEGE: *BURP*
Me: NOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
COLLEGE: RAR!
Me: Ok, ok, I'll make a schedule to appease you. Can I still have Fridays open?
COLLEGE: GRRR.
Me: ...alright, I'll get the schoolwork done earlier rather than on Monday morning.
COLLEGE: RAR?
Me: *sighs* And cut back computer time.

Ooo, I like that way much better than the first version.

Backlog and Contact List Cleaning
I have an excessive backlog of pictures saved on my computer, that grows every day. It started as a simple habit: whenever I came across some art that I liked or admired, I would save it. Because one never knows when artist might disappear and never be seen again.

I have 10K of random pictures on my computer. It's like I'm setting myself up to make dozens of music picture gallery DVDs.

I think its about time that I hunker down and actually clean out my deviantArt and IM list. Doesn't help that I get so blasted nostalgic every time I attempt. There be memories in those contacts even-though-I've-never-chatted-with-some-of-them or they haven't updated for years. *coughs* I am such a packrat.

Speaking of which, Neverwhere by Neil Gaiman is Awesome. I know what I'm going to do when delaying homework this weekend...

COLLEGE: RARG!

Oh for the love of...

Skype
*mouths call me*

What are you doing?

I'm mouthing "call me."

Ah, want to test out the StalkerVoice.

I do not have a SlalkerVoice.

You really do sound like the Joker when you get in the right intonation...

NOT HELPING, RONTS.

StrongSad impression isn't half bad either.

Hibernate!

Naw, I'm here for some humiliation to hold me over.

Accursed fuzzy dementor.

Thank ye.

COLLEGE: RAR!

Oh, just gnaw on this Business Law book for now.

I'll still draw Kris the werewolf in a winter picture yet. I really need to draw him more, especially in his Russian winter outfit.

Just sending a happy holidays greeting to all the peeps out there. I haven't updated this for a while for the sheer reason that I haven't had anything drawing related to babble about. And I've jus' been busy. Also, I am still going over the monologues in my mind about my commenting habits and internet use in general. There be some twisted webs 'ere.

It's also getting to the time where New Year Resolutions ought to be made. Or the time where I look back and get overwhelmed by the lack of beating the resolutions the last year. It's an odd cycle I go through. The internet gets all the more odd during breaks. I'm never certain what I should make of the things. Where am I in this pixeled land and why do I worry about it? But that, my friends, is the neverending debate. All I can conclude is, I really don't deserve the awesome people I come in contact with on-line. It only takes one click to block a contact, one scroll to ignore a drawing, a flicker of space...and that anyone would take time to acknowledge another in this cavernous space, I remain amazed by those that do so. I do it not enough.

And one that ambiguous note, I must be off. Keep well and be of good cheer!

PS: By the way, we've gotten over 80 inches of snow this winter already. I dare anyone to complain about the snow in another part of the county. I dare them.

Occasionally, I get saturated in stats. Not so much the page view stats. Those just get unusual from time to time. More on a picture to picture basis. There are some odd inconsistencies that amuse me. Like the time that the Casual Lobotomy comic got 45 views within 2 minutes of it being posted.

Apparently, there is an audience for lobotomies out there. Or the other thing in the comic which I thankfully decided to keep out of the tags. I can only assume that forty-five people saw it on the main page in the "new deviations" and clicked it.

But that's not the point at this time. What I'm wondering, is about the picture with the most views in my gallery (which, oddly enough, isn't "Casual Lobotomy"...though with over 200 views, quite nice by my standards).

Mysteriously, the top viewed picture in my gallery is a photo of a seemingly innocuous Moomin mug being threatened by my wallpaper. Heck, its barreling down to 400 views, which causes me to raise a brow. I am vaguely sadden that dethroned Getty the Civil War Cougar for the spot. (This reminds me. I need to draw more cougars...the fuzzy kind, what did you think I was talking about?)

What weirdness has caused the Moomin to come to the top? I think its the simple fact that its a Moomin cup. Why is it so special that its a Moomin cup. Moomins are an export from Finland, and you most likely haven't heard of them, unless you live in Europe or Hawaii. In Finland, there is a collection of coffee cups. For some reason or another, my family has a large amount of these cups, mostly given as gifts (along with lots of Finnish coffee, which is why my family is extensive coffee drinkers now, but that's a story for another time). So Moomins are an institution, they have a following, and peeps probably stalk deviantArt for anything that might be Moomin!

That, and the cup shown in the picture is rumored be worth over 100€ (a fact that made me snort my coffee and almost drop said cup). So maybe a link to this picture exists on a collector site where the link keeps getting clicked. As I usually say You Just Never Know (which is usually a long the lines of Why You Should Always Have a Ballpoint Pen. Tracheotomies could be needed at any time.)

My most discussed as also switched in the last few months. Which is basically the only commentary I'll ever make about IM conversations. But I will add to the topic, really, I just like poking people online who I don't know to unlock other points of view, and perhaps someone to randomly have a back and forth conversation of vague amusement. That doesn't stop me from becoming a nervous wreck when attempting to talk to anyone new (or old, for that matter) that I respect.

Because, one should know, words are powerful things.

I think I somehow got off topic.

deviantArt Journal Entries will always remain an anomaly for me.

*yawns*

Long weeks, with only the doodles of raccoons to accompany me. And yet I still find time to start clicking stuff on deviantArt...and decide that there's so many wonderful artists out there that I can't believe that my pencils haven't combusted when I tried to use them. Whatever that means...not very coherent at the moment. Had a long night of...urm...spreading college school spirit around by means of playing frisbee, flirting with the girls, posing the Cap't Morgan position complete with pirate cap and eye patch, avoiding becoming roadkill on the high way, shaking some tail, pumping up the energy amps, and swigging three bottles of water, a glass of Powerade, and a Capri Sun on the side.

What doing all that means, I leave up to you.

Inspiration is still flowing. You know, the problem with comic script writing is that it sounds so wonderful in your head, but then you get to the actual drawing process, you wonder if its worth it.

I personally scale back like mad until I'm satisfied.

Why must inspiration come when I don't have time? WHY?

Well, the other CSS sorta...flopped over and disappeared. So I decided to go the simple note with this deceptively simple design.

So...yeah.
As I delay my task of murdering drawings by trying to use the lab's tablet...

Original post from

It's never as good as we want it to be. We're all such harsh critics on our own works. So, for a change, let's think of things we *like* about our own art.

1. What do you like about your style?

The cute and fuzzy nature at its core...and all around it. It's all cute and fuzzy, isn't it? 'Gates. When did that happen?

2. Which is the most popular deviation in your gallery? Why do you think people like it so much? What do YOU like about it?

Going by page views...because I have a different deviation for each stat category. I think people like it because it a cougar character based off U.S. Grant (how can you get much cooler than that?), which you really have to blame ~mitya for. I personally like it because its one of the best coats I've done so far (I really need to use refs more...).

3. Pick one of your least popular deviations. What are the things you like about it, despite the lack of popularity?

This one always seemed to be a winner to me. Actually, any idea that I come up for Rex always ends up leaving my twisted funny bone bemused, and this one was exceptional. For 'gate's sake, its a zombie red panda? What's not to love? It's some of my best digital coloring (look at that red panda's tail!) and generally a dash of my most absurd kinda humor. I'm still confused why this one has faded into oblivion. No matter what, I shall adore its liberal use of blood brushes. Above all...ITS A ZOMBIE RED PANDA.

4. Which is your favorite picture, concept- or idea-wise? Would you ever revisit this idea and try to make a new picture based on it again?

My most corrupting idea. This spurred quite a few people to try it out for the heck of it (with twistedly awesome results). I still sing this song when it plays on the iPod and I just love the thought of characters revealing their (perhaps non-canon) dirty little secrets for the world to see.

5. Do you have a favorite quickie? What are the things you like about it?

As I recall, I got this done in fifteen minutes back in the day. Best thing that came from reading a old Final Fantasy RPG chat log called "Pawns of Fate"...the worst thing is the Canoe Guy which we shall never speak of.

6. Do you have a favorite piece that involved tons of time and effort?

Urm...I should use more time on my pieces...*coughs* But this took a while to complete...I can't remember why. Glowy Ronts was fuuuuun.

7. Lastly, pick your top favorite image in your gallery. (If you picked this picture in any of the previous answers, please pick the next favorite or something.) Why do you like it so m...

Alas...the compy is flailing. It's graphic card has fled, which explains on a Saturday, when the house is empty for once, I am led to the campus computer lab to get my daily Internet Fix.

*takes a draw of the digital goodness*

Safe mode definitely kills much of the ambition to web surf...that, and I've been using all my time lately to poke at the system and try get it to work...without funky vertical lines in blue, yellow and green verities.

How come I feel as if I'm jumping on the bandwagon when it comes to stating compy problems. Did I mention that Dook, my Palm Pilot, is back in writing action? He got a new tail (foldable keyboard) and is being quite keen on loping through the narratives as plots get stuck in his fur. *dook*

Not all is lost, in the past few days, I got asked and received rides to not one, but two fantastic firework displays. Prabaly not that amazing in comparison to...anyone else's fireworks, they were still snazzy to me.

So, wish me luck with the compy. It's probaley going to a shop, so I'm saving all files that have the possibility to be lost just in case (that's the nice part, I don't think its a virus because all the files are still accessible and have the possibility to be saved, so this problem is not that bad at all...or so it seems...)

The boogie raccoon avatar may have had something to do with this milestone. All I have to do is post somewhere and people are hypnotized into clicking (TNX again =GearOtter )
3.	My main inspiration is still Gary Larson…which explain everything from my casual art style to my absurd sense of humor.
4.	Still can’t write comments on the fly. Argh! I’m glad I don’t have more comment flow because of there were I would have major flail issues (how do peeps like *Temiree or ~ioyousbook or other many-commented artist do it?).
5.	No matter my occasional sighs, I really am happy with my art. I’m still poking around to see anyone to gauge where I am…to little avail (does no one have a style close to mine? Let’s just say I’m a cult artist and be down wit dat, eh? w00t! )
6.	Background information for my ID? How can I have background information when I can’t draw backgrounds yet?
7. <strike>Sign of the Apocalypse: Me getting a DD. That would be freakin' hilarious. </strike> Geo is still a disillusioned soul with a flail complex.
8. Thanks sooooo much all of ye that watched, have clicked, have , generally popped in every once in a while.
9. I'll draw something...maybe...probably in a week when everything is done.
10. deviantArt Journal Entries still come to haunt me.

Advice and General Comments: Page views really doesn't matter. Even me, someone who occasionally gets embroiled in the statistics of what was viewed more and who faved what, knows that at the very core, it really doesn't matter. You just need to like what you're drawing. When I get annoyed by the green-eyed monster, I go back, and really consider what caused me to start drawing. Honestly, I'm no really sure. I can only assume it was an off-shoot of my odd imagination and went from there. My writing and my drawing are miles apart. One is not related to the other. They are estranged brothers that rarely meet. The images as I write are yet to be captured. Though the waves of inspiration, for no real good reason, I've kept drawing. Not exactly the most dynamic stuff or creative or colorful or even good stuff, but just simple and fuzzy stuff. I still draw fuzzy characters. I still draw my odd sense of humor.

I still want to draw an otter that looks like an otter.

Back to the point, I'm at 10,000, and I don't feel the same...like when turning...that one age...

Thank you all! Thanks for clicking, faving, putting up with me (and Ronts), and may those 20,000 or less eyes be cured soon <strike>and then roasted on a spit</strike>. And special thanks to *indutiae for putting up with me on her DevWatchList for so dang long, and being nice the entire way. The only longer watcher is ~Vitora .

<strike>I'd seriously thank others but I have that complex that I'll forget someone if I actually make a list. </strike> Thanks again everyone!

Actually, I've noticed there's a set group of people that hang around for some reason. Why? Because they are just two fun personalities to play off each other on a random assortment of topics. Never get tired of their odd hijinks.

That brings me to this meme of sorts, and a sequence I shall (hopefully) call FAQ w/ Geo and Ronts.

Premise:Comment on this journal with questions for Geo and Ronts to answer. They can be on an array of topics from art styles to personal opinion, geography to politics, world domination to torturing techniques. Anything that you would think would stir Geo and Ronts into a frenzy and/or submission. Nothing is to menial or too weird. You can even ask questions about stuff in my gallery or personal information about Geo and Ronts themselves (Dirty Little Secrets: Pt 3...*Twilight Zone music*) You could even ask about their creator...*coughs*

Outcome: Hard to say really. Depends on the questions. There's no knowing what certain questions will compel. The mediums will range from sketches to traditional or digital colored and may even cause some other characters (my own or others) to appear. I do know what whatever is asked, the completion date will vary and most likely appear sometime this summer. I'm a soul of randomly fluxing deadlines.

Limit: No limit...really. I doubt I'll be overwhelmed by whatever is thrown at me. Challenge me with whatever ye got. But keep it at PG...of course.

Anyway, hope the rundown of school fares well for everyone. I always wonder if I should be spending more time on my art then I am now. My method of posting stuff on deviantArt is like ripping off a bandaid: quick, painful, and trying not to look. I'm skepical after a while if that's the right way to do it. Still most of my sketches develop into things that are posted, and very few of my sketches remain sketches. I need to actually sketch practice more rather than flail right into drawings with no preliminary work.

Maybe...

We'll see how that works out. I have to choose a new main pic.

And considering how much I look at deviantArt for no-good-reason and how I'm getting somewhat annoyed by the constantly loading banners or...whatever that is, I'm getting more and more tempted to at least test a subscription on deviantArt.

Shiny...

What I'm uncertain of is that I've been here for so long and haven't even considered the possibility until just now. Does that mean I really don't need it? Is it actually worth the money? Is there some alternative motive that my subconscious is hiding them me?

I think its just because I'm a cheapskate whose bank account is all flowing into college for the next two and a half years... That's the same amount of time that, with practice, I may be at a state of desirable art in exchange for such frivolous endeavours (but even if that state were ever achieved...most likely would pursue other things...like illustrating children's books!)

Alas, tis a new year and as far as art goals go, I'm rather complacent. I'm going in the direction I want to do.

Random Notes:
- Inking looks a lot better and coloring has remained the same.
- Eyes have stopped wandering up on the forehead
- Slowly figuring out how to draw weasels
- Still draw mostly cute and fuzzy...with the usual dash of Twisted
- Need to work on backgrounds one day.
- And Clothes.
- And Open Mouth Expressions
- I could keep going. But it just gets repetitive.
- Draw <strike>otters that look like otters</strike> ferrets that look like ferrets.

*yawns* Just keep on plugging along, doing my own art, randomly doing gift art, getting suckered into lightsabers, and just...going through college for the most part.

I have no art philosophies at this time.

Randomly thought at work of trying to evaluate how to take a look at what's in my gallery now...and came up with nothing. So I decided to do it this way: somewhat meme-ish.

Best Thumbnail (Most Viewed Deviation)
[link] - I adore Getty. No question of that. But I really think that the reason that this got 222 views is because it sat on the mad-good-deviant ~mitya's front page for a good few months. I could be wrong, of course, its just a theory. Still, if any deserved to be most viewed, it was definitely Getty. I ought to draw cougars more.

Best First Impression (Most Favorited Deviation)
[link] - Admittedly, this one cheated to get so many s. Coming out on Christmas Eve, portraying the true meaning of Christmas, me sending it out anyone on-line at the time as a Christmas card, so on. Reminds me that another Kris picture ought to be done for this next year. It's become a sort of tradition.

Best Icebreaker (Most Commented Deviation)
[link] - Ah, the infamous werewolf snail, a drawing that took me literally a ten minutes to complete, the idea stolen from one line of a very random Final Fantasy Chat RPG and something still causes me to snerk everytime I chance to look upon it. For pete's sake, it's a werewolf snail. It was also a long time featured deviation.

Other Popular Peeps (Some Top Popular Deviations)
Class Clown [link] - This is still by far my best executed humor comic. Perhaps the closest I'll get to Gary Larson's amazing sense of humor. I still can't draw lemmings though.

Class Cutie [link] - It's a fuzzy hug. Need I say more?

Teacher's Pet [link] - Ronts's head looks amazingly bloated in this picture. It must be the Pride and Prejudice reference that made people look at this picture. Or at least CSK. Why is this on the top of the list?

Most Likely to Start a Conspiricy [link] "The Dirty Little Secret drawing is still number two on the most viewed with 215 views. Signifying the only somewhat successful dA conspiracy I ever created."

Most Likely to Succeed [link] - I magically discover the auto-fix button. (Everything before this was very bland colored.)

Where Are They Now? (The Lost Deviations)
Some Deviations that got lost in the shuffle.
Most Abstract [link] - OK. I'll be honest here. I've never understood why this one was ignored completely. I thought it was a classic from the start and I still think its morbidly hilarious without being morbid. It's abstract and weird and generally, for being from my early years, not that horribly drawn. If even has a chicken/duck! Is there something horrible that I've overlooked? *end rant*

Most Emo [link] - A drawing with Rex and a zombie red panda. Is that not amusing at all? Actually, a great many of my digital pictures have been shoved under the carpet of popularity. Must be a much more tough category or something.

Best Eyes [link] - Veat can never get exposure. Veat is awesome though. But every pic he's in he's avoided like the plague. (Well...not completely true, but there is general avoidance [link] ) I'm eventually going to draw something for him that's generally likable. Tis a quest!

Final Notes
"Dang! My eyes only stop wandering about on my character's heads in the current page!"
"Digital art is a weird novelty."
"Really must draw humans at some point."

P.S. If this /is/ made a meme, the titles and statuses of pictures can be changed as suited for anything past the first three pictures. This isn't really a meme...

P.P.S. I could have went on too long if I didn't stop myself.

And I had to make a list from the same again. I'm a sap, I know.

[link] - Kenket just always will find a way to make the most dynamic and just plain cool paintings around. This is one with a border collie. Wish you were here.

[link] - Dakkan + Glowy Eyes = AWESOMENESS

[link] - Rufftoon has the best of the best when it comes to Avatar comics. You could say she was "made for comedy" (This, from another artist...needs to be mentioned for sheer snerk-factor [link] )

[link] - Haven't seen many hybrids as snazzy as a coon-griff, which is why this sketch sheet stands out.

[link] - A rare stoat picture. *bows to Kit* (And here's a paintball stoat for the heck of it [link] )

[link] - StrangeFox has the talent of making me think "HOW'D YOU DO THAT WITH JUST A MOUSE?!" All his stuff is just but this has a war raccoon medic, so its the one I'm linking.

[link] - Beautiful, jawdropping animation on the True meaning of Christmas. I remember it brought a tear to my eye when i first saw it. Be of good cheer, fellows.

[link] - I have too fluffy of a personality sometimes. This picture proofs my art muse is not safe.

[link] - Not many have caught the essence of Snoopy in their characters as much as this drawing does.

[link] - Badger Lord Top Right next to the Halloween one. This is beyond anything I would ever expect in style.

[link] - Wally and Osborne are win. This drawing proves it.

[link] - I rarely come up good comic script situations. Last Christmas, Slasher offered offered gift comic art, and in a caffeine haze I jotted out some ideas and sent them before I could properly think straight. This is what happened. A mix of my odd humor, and her cool style and Edgar. Heh!

There is gift arts too...which I'll drag out next time. See ya then.

[link] - Amazingly atmospheric October picture, with all the texture and layers and feeling we've come to expect from the ever amazing Sunflash. There's Jack o' Lanterns too.

[link] - There is something morbidly humorous about this without being morbid. On the topic, it is true that foxes are impressive at pouncing.

[link] - ...why does Yoshi lay eggs when he's male? Perfect example of JB's odd humor.

[link] - *snerks* Oh my. Best interpetation of Todd's Van Helsing.

[link] - I just don't see ferret corsairs enough, and none so fantastically drawn.

[link] - Hopelessly dark. Completely unexpected. And yet I'm oddly intrigued by this drawing.

[link] - Dark, gritty, twisted, disturbing, nightmarish: twisted together to make eeriely cool drawing with a grim message: "time stands still for no one, tick tock tick tock"

Other creatures:

[link] - the Hat!

[link] - So very, very, very wrong. Makes me laugh hysterically every time I think of it though. Little Rabbit Foo Foo had it coming.
[link] - The Whole Mad Group from the Pawns of Fate. So many random characters in one masterful group shot. Still feel bad that I missed it...

[link] - Ronts kitty!

[link] - Completely and utterly unexpected drawing of GeoCoon from WinD...who oddly captured the personality spot-on considering we'd never chatted before beside through devComments. (And the group shot proved the Hat was loyal to design [link] )

[link] - Ronts is fun to p0wn. *snorts*

[link] - Surprisingly cool effect of putting Redwall sort character in an photo of an autumn setting.

[link] - Just a simple, snuggly, fuzzy hug. Make-me-smile drawing. D'awww...

[link] - Just something about the expression...or the background...I think it just highlights how cool of a character Dak is.

[link] - Raccoon with a shotgun. Need I say more?

[link] - Because someone was bound to draw a badger in a huge mecha at some point or another.

[link] - Never have seen Miss Sleet quite so...cavalier.

[link] - Wolf-unicorn hybrid? Kim never fails to please.

[link] - DEEP! And...just...nice to look at. Very nice to look at. Abstract and cool and...is that a floating MP3 fish?

Honorable Mentions
[link] - When I first saw this, I didn't drink coffee. After a year of doing so...it makes much more sense.

[link] - UPS CAT!

[link] - Geo would so do this.

[link] - This reminds my fav sketch of a rat I've ever seen.

[link] - Never choose math.

[link] - This is much more humorous after seeing Holy Grail.

Shuffling through these is so TOUGH TO CHOOSE! Ahhhh!

Still, here's phase three, 47-37.

[link] - This ties with my Ursala piece with the wolverine because this just...the thought of ring-tailed lemurs high of millipedes is just...the most hilarious use of a Fun Animal Fact I've ever seen. And there's just something about the style in this pic...

[link] - I was a fan of reading some of the Returner FF RPG chats during publications class a few years back...even after the Canoe Incident. I still think its full of Win, and this picture completely captures the cavalier madness of it all...even without the Canoe Guy.

[link] - Black Doggie! I'd pet the fellow if I wasn't worried that my arm would be ripped from its socket.

[link] - This werewolf pic with always make me burst out snickering. ( Accompaniment - [link] )

[link] - Need to full view to get this completely...just really captures that moment before the icy water cold in summer amazingly well.

[link] - Even more fun epic creature creation from the Fwirl.

[link] - There is just so much odd tenseness that comes through in this picture...a kick impulse of "d'awwwww" or something like that.

[link] - Fun picture of the best written rivalry I've seen in a ROC survivor contest.

[link] - Ah, the fun you can have messing with characters...or yourself with as a character...or something.

Honorable Mentions:
[link] - ...we shall never speak of where this character came from. NEVER. (That aside, Cy does a snazzy fox. See [link] for some others of her creature mastery. )

[link] - So totally p0wned guessing who these characters were dressed as. w00t!

[link] - ...how'd I forget about this penguin? shiny

[link] - the complete ironic humour is wonderful.

[link] - Awwwww...Boneshackle. Move dem bones.

Among the madness of College, tis nice to shuffle through some old pictures from the pit once again, as a rainy day transposes outside. And...its bloody difficult to choose the best of the best...I swear I'm missing some mad awesome ones...but these are still awesome.

So, from the Favorites of the Favorites: Pages 57-47...

[link] - I still need to print this off for every Bio teacher I've ever known.

[link] - No matter what, this photo will glaze my eyes over.

[link] - Favorite. Character. Design. Ever.

[link] - Partly because its a mercenary fox, mostly because of the tail, all because of the sweet gun. (If I mention that, I should mention this too, which is in the next page [link] Del WRAWKS! )

[link] - Forgot about this...completely...never looked at it very close...but...now...holy... Can we say extensive sketch? Yes we can.

[link] Ring-tailed lemur who's "Quirks include cleptomanic habits". Oh yes...I've always kept this fellow in mind.

[link] - This totally inspired my old otter brother picture. Sunflash always manages to push the limits of cool and cute. (Remembers old Bear picture fondly...) This too: [link]

[link] - Oi miss Axcelia's squirrlies... Another picture perfect for this time of year.

[link] - I still use this all the time on IM... along with this one. [link]

[link] - Cute Ferret vs. Cute Otter animation. Need I say more?

Honorable Mention:
[link] - BW...I love you. Sorry. Under the influence of this picture. Nevermind.

I think it is safe to say that I’m an indiscriminate er. I've had a downright intimidating Favorites list haunting my account since I learned how snazzy it is to save any picture that pets the inner-wombat of amusement. That wombat’s utter distraction of ing things is not helped by the development of the friendly “Thanks!” that appears every time another fav is made now.

It comes down to this: there is an excessive amount of pictures in my Favorites section, too much for an average person (or me for that matter) to flip through easily. For “No Good Reason” I shall quest through the favorites section in ten page sections, earliest to newest, poking out the special gems that are a few ticks above the average : a look, in a way, to separate the hypothetical ferrets from the weasels.

Seems like a good thing to do...especially when too lazy to actually clean it out.

Pages 68-58
[link] - Still my favorite of favorites from Ursula. I just can’t get over the title, the premise, the story, and the picture itself. All great amounts of wonderful. This is one of those few pictures pasted by my bed.

[link] - Another Ursula piece...because I doubt I’ll ever run across something like it ever again…its an /otter/ with a pet /fish/!

[link] - Tani will never cease to amuse me with her awesome talent of making animals that are just the right amount of realistic and toon. This bloody takes the classic “How are you today?” premise and flaunts the talent excessively.

[link] - Illiam “Bear” Aukner fanart? Oh, snap! From back in the days of Questors Bold IV, and Creejak produced this uber-cool rendition of the writing vole.
And on the same note, there’s another rendition by the incredible, but now sadly absent Tugwolf (the conspiracy theories continue) : [link] This is one of the profiles for Operation: Mindstorm, a Redwall contest in which I wrote Bear the best death post ever (reincarnation into a puppy!)

[link] - Ah, Spunky, wonderful toon artist. I’ll never get over this one. May be just a dragon pic at first glance, then you look a little closer and it gets so much better.

[link] - Simple Christmas sketchings...but with /Fwirl/…she just brings sketches to another level…and this is always going to remain one of my favs of hers, for the creatures, for the designs, for the little mouse’s expression. Another of the bedside gallery candidates.

[link] - Lemuel is my favorite character of this artist’s webcomic…for obvious reasons.

[link] - Despite not being a fan of Pokemon,, not even knowing what a Raichu is, frowning upon drug use, and generally being an innocent chap, this still makes the twisted humor inside of me snicker in an evil laugh whenever I see this. SO GREAT <3

Honorable Mentions:

[link] - This comic makes me smile inside…heh…wolverines…so much truthÂ

[link] - I don’t want to know about the snakeÂ

[link] - *weakness for Vitora renditions*

[link] - *general weakness for bats actually*

[link] - *...and a coon weakness*

And tying up with a wonderful picture of Autumn, from the ever awesome Tugwolf: [link]

Will I ever do this...actually...to the most current ones...

1. Post these rules.
2. Each person tagged must post 8 random (hopefully interesting)facts about themselves.
3. Tags should write a journal of these facts.
4. At the end of the post 8 more bloggers are tagged and named.
5. Go to their page and leave a comment telling them that they're tagged.

8 Random Facts
1. On some nights I take out a Coca-Cola and drink it with a small mug or shot glass.
2. At odd points when I hear a good song on my iPod, I go into a private room and boogie randomly.
3. I'm oddly intrigued by roadkill (the non-mutilated kind).
4. Used to really like ABBA songs a few years back (after visiting Sweden and getting the Greatest Hits album as a 'gift', go figure)
5. I have literally a hundred or so of art pieces from dA (and elsewhere) printed out for "reference" (on card paper left over from graduation invitations)
6. I've always joked that I wanted facial hair for the "disillusioned college student" look, and now I do.
7. Never liked raccoons that much because of their "creepy paws" (more of a red panda fan).
8. Reading to younger siblings children's books (and watching movies and tv with them) as growing up is the prime reason for my "cute and fuzzy" style.

And I tag: NO ONE! Unless you really want ta dooooo it.
