To be honest I have not made any street or documentary images since mid October till mid January.  I go through ups and downs of motivation.  Kind of hard when something you did when you were 15 (15 years ago) was an exclusive hobby, now is the hobby Du Jour rated number 2 in pastimes just after gardening.

All of them turned out shite.

But I just wanted test how disiplined I could be.

A few weeks back I got a e-mail informing me some of my photos were accepted, and that it was one of my images to be used on the front cover of the cataloque and posters promoting the event, which is currently taking place.

It was choosen from literally thousands of images.

I also won best overall Black and White photographer at the event.  Which I'm really pleased with considering I use real B&W and not some fake desaturate filter ;).

The website is a bitch to navigate and very poorly designed, but you can submit up to six pictures which is pretty cool.

I've spotted two guys from in-public.com in the gallery so it looks like some stiff competition.

I don't think I have anything up to scratch yet to enter, but I have 11 rolls of negs to develop to see if I got any shots worth it.

For those of you travelling and shooting pictures with good old film here is some advice.  If you find yourself in the Sahara desert (Morocco), do not store your black and white films in the back of an open jeep to bake in the sun.  Your negatives don't tend to like it and will disappear.  I won't even go into the shit I lost, no point dwelling on it.  Or maybe it was an x-ray at the airport, but unlikely since I kept my films with my hand luggage.
