Sometimes I forget this place exists and apparently that was the case for this summer.

I've been kind of sick my entire break so far, my grandma died a few days before Christmas and I was so tired new year's eve that when 12 o'clock rolled around I.. didn't even remember that it was anything special. I'm hoping for a few semesters of school where I'm not scrambling so much to meet due dates (loool procrastination), more financial stability (prz no more factory work evers), annd to keep up more with writing and drawing.
I have no idea if I'll have a job waiting for me when I go back to school (I'm kind of guessing no), but I got my bank account changed finally so that I don't have to worry about overdraft fees anymore which is wonderful. n.n
I'm also in the process of taking a break from a commission (srry u wont c it) to write an rp post so that's positive too I guess. c:

So some of you rarely have to worry about driving in or shoveling snow during the winter months, so.. what does it look like there?
Do things stay green all year where you live, or do the trees and such still hibernate? Does your grass turn all gross and crispy? DO YOUR LEAVES EVEN CHANGE COLOR IN THE FALL?

I like to take pictures while driving lawl. Because that's always a good idea.
After raining for about three days straight, it snowed for another two or three days straight. And since the temperature was so low, it stayed plastered to EVERYTHING fdjk. It usually melts off the trees and power lines and such once the sun comes out.

So yeah, I was just curious.
Friday was the last day of finals, so my winter break officially started this weekend. n.n I'll be working every weekday bar Christmas and such, but at least it's an office rather factory inventory this time. I'm happy.

I love the holiday season. For the movies.
Lots in theaters and lots on DVD. It's cruel that they plan it out that way, because I usually don't have enough money for them all, but I DO at least have lots of free time. Wellkinda.
I saw BOLT and it was cute, and theater hopped to watch TWILIGHT and it was bad, but not as bad as I thought it would be.

I found out recently that one of my best friends loves the series, which really.. really doesn't surprise me, but makes me sad.
She then compared the books to a vampire series that I ACTUALLY LIKED and it made me even more sad.

I had a character named Trillion way back in junior high and I'm always amused that it's free on most sites, so I took it because it was easy.
I joined DA to stalk other people, mostly. I always have the intention of uploading things, but I want them to be finished, and so I don't.

I was reading a online comic last night which is primarily about a girl and her sisters and it... it made me want one.
A sister, not a comic.
For probably the first time in my life.
I'm fairly certain most of the people I converse with online, like me, have only brothers, so I ask you: Have any of you ever wanted sisters instead? Or, if you already have them, do you get along with them at all?
I never wanted one when I was younger because, although my older brother tended to beat me into the ground, most girls I knew were crazy whiny bitches and they confused me.
When I think about this, it amuses me even more that now I find it difficult to hang out with any guy for more than a couple of hours.

ALSO, what is the worse excuse you've ever told someone (can either be horrible or just really lame) and what were some misconceptions you had about the human body when you were a kid? Particularly with sex/reproduction? Did your parents/siblings/kids at school make shit up, or was everything you learned pretty accurate?
For me personally, I recently told a teacher of mine that the reason I had been missing a lot of class was because I had a miscarriage (yeah, I know, me + handbasket == hell). It worked for the most part, although now she wants to have lunch and "talk it out" because she's kind of strange.. and teaches a horribly boring class.
Aannd when I was really little, I thought all human babies were born via c-section. It looked like they were being held in the stomach, so the idea that they would come out anywhere OTHER than your stomach didn't really occur to me until later.
Also, my mom explained sex to me at a fairly young age, but for a while I thought it consisted of a couple laying completely still for about fifteen minutes until they randomly orgasmed. ....it'd be kind of funny, if that were the case.

So the building next door to us caught on fire this morning.
I was sitting there, trying to write, and my fan started pulling in tons of smoke and I was all "fff DAMN COLLEGE KIDS" thinking someone was burning trash or having a camp fire in our parking lot or something until sirens started going off like ten minutes later. |D;;;;
When the trucks first pulled up I was afraid it was OUR place, because uh.. I kinda took down the smoke alarm at the beginning of the year since it wouldn't stop beeping. |D;

I'm from a very small town with BIG YARDS and last year our apartment came with a yard too and was between a parking lot and a duck pond and this year I'm surrounded by busy streets and other houses that are a body's length away. I feel like people are watching me all the time.

I really dislike my classes this semester. Honestly, I don't even feel like being here right now. I'm taking Zooarchaeology, Women in Religion, Health and Wellness (they should stop misleading you and just call it PHYS ED. Bastards.), Probability and Statistics (it's as much fun as it sounds), and College Writing.
My religion class is the only one I look forward to. |:

21 was the line. You get there and people are all "uh-ooohh, now ur old enuf 2 drnk ololololol" and they still expect you to be immature and crazy and now it's like "haha, you've got nothing to look forward to except retirement."
It'd be even worse if I'd graduated college when I was supposed to. x: Then I'd be "grown-up" and in the "real world" by now.

Dunno if any of you watch Avatar, but ffff the finale to that was so amazing too. I was disappointed that they didn't really tell you what happened to a few characters, but whatever. Considering that the creator isn't even alive anymore (??), I think they did really good job with it.
I'm sad it's over though, that was one of a whole three shows I bothered watching on TV. XD;

In other news, I kinda hate my job as it's boiling in that place and there isn't really enough work for us currently (seriously, I just sit there and play Solitaire for half the day) but at least it's only for another month or so.. : /

I'm strangely excited for the new Batman movie, and got my hopes up last weekend thinking I'd get to see it in an imax, but the date on the website was wrong and so we went to see Hancock instead at the normal theater. I didn't think I'd like it much, but I was pleasantly surprised.
Coming home though, I hit an opossum that was just.. standing in the middle of my lane, staring at the road. >: Not even trying to cross. It made me sad, it's the first animal I've ever run over.

When I was at the pet store that day, though, I saw the cutest pair of tabby kittens fdjskfjk OH GOD, I WANTED TO TAKE THEM HOME and had enough for one, but it would've made my parents very unhappy and my oldest tabby even more so. I think she'd probably kill me in my sleep if I brought home another kitten.
