Well over a year and nothing from me? Not even a journal. I guess I got frustrated that DA took most of my colors down. I mean all the deviations that have been taken down (not only mine but countless others) have to be reported by someone...right? I seriously doubt that the DA admins are hovering over my account watching to see what color I would put up next. My statement to these narcs is get a friggin life. So what if we color B/W manga pages. Thats all we're doing. Most give credit and explain that it's the only the colors they did. It's not like we're claiming "Hey looked what I created from scratch!". Also I seriously doubt that anyone of us would try to make any kind of profit from coloring a manga page either. Anywho, just a rant. It was something I enjoyed doing, it was a MAJOR stress reliever for me, and I liked that people actually enjoyed looking at it. It was great!

Then in the months I was inactive coloring, my computer slowly started withering away. Then sadly it died on me...sniff . Well, now I got a new computer, new Photoshop, and some new desire. I feel the need to try and color again. It may take a bit for me to get back into the swing of things but I'll be putting some things out. Not only that but I think I've found a way to make the colors stick without the narcs being able to get them removed. We'll see I suppose. Stay tuned .

Man o' man do I need a new computer. I fight with mine on a daily basis. From my ISP, to it not having enough memory to even save something in Photoshop or the mere task of using a brush in Photoshop. It's getting very stressful. So maybe in the future I'll be able to get a new one but for now I have to fight with the one I've got.

Again a big thank you to all who support me. Any feedback you give (good or bad) will help me out in the long run.

As for requests, don't be shy. I do this for fun so there's no price or fee or nuthin B) . All I ask is to give a bit of time for me to complete the requests. There's quite a few of them believe it or not. As long as you keep coming back and checking my page you may see it pop up there soon. Some requests are easier than others so it doesn't take as long. Many times I'll be doing 2 or 3 at once. Some get finished quick some take a bit of extra time. Hang in there. If you made a request it'll be up I promise

There's so many great artists that I watch. If you get a chance click on those I watch and check out their outstanding galleries. They've all helped me in one way or another. Mainly in being an inspiration. There are those who have given me some invaluable help throught my time here.

When I very first started coloring this guy helped me out greatly. He didn't have to but he did. He gave me countless tips and great instruction. Some sank in some did not (I know that must've been frustrating) probably to this day. He spurred me on when I wanted to quit. If you get a spare moment go check out his gallery - Thank you! I never thought I'd see the day when I would receive 20k pageviews. I'm so happy. I know to some "pageviews" is like a "post count" on a forum. Some people want alot just to have more than everyone else. Not me though. I value each and everyone of the pageviews I've got. For people to visit my page and take a look at my work means everything to me. I appreciate every view that I have received as if it were my first. Having said that I owe each and everyone of you a huge thank you! Obviously without you I'd have never done it. So to everyone here THANK YOU! I hope to continue to keep coloring as I have, and with support for you hopefully improve a little more each time.

I've been told by many that my deviations are going to be taken off. It seems like that time is slowly creeping near. I'm ready for it though...for the most part. My buddy recently had his Bleach deviations deleted by the administration here at DA. I'm sure I shouldn't be too far behind.

I suppose I see their point, but at the same time I wonder why can't there be some kind of section for colored Manga pages? It's not like were turning a profit for coloring them, we color them because we like the artwork and wish to see it in color. So we apply our talents to do what we do best. Maybe someday DA will find a place where we can put these pieces of work.

I'm ready for it though. I have all of my deviations saved. What I would like is maybe a little help from you guys. If possible would you help me find a good place to create a free website or a website that has minimal cost to display my artwork on the net? I seem to color Manga the best and I still want to be able to share that with everyone. Any help that can be given would be greatly appreciated.

This journal is coming a week or two in advance. I just want to thank everyone for visiting my page. I never would have thought in a million years that people would take such a liking to my work. After I posted the Byakuya color the views and new watchers and friends rose faster than I had ever thought possible. Thank you all so much. I will answer each and ever comment that I received. It will take a while though as there was so many.

Right now I'd like to feature and thank ! When I made the transition from the more traditional "soft" brush coloring ( which I had trouble with) to the Bold Cel-Shading. As busy as he was he took a little time to tell me a few things. Which is probably why people see some similarities in my colors. I love his art and his colors are astounding. If for some reason you have not checked him out, do so now. And Stfun, if you read this...THANK YOU!

On another note I've seen this done in other journals and I thought it was a good idea. So from now on in each journal entry (every month or two weeks) I'll have a featured artist. I have so many great friends around here, but DA only lets you put 20 up on your page at one time. So I'll go through and randomly select one of my friends and post it in my journal as a tribute to your great artwork! Not that big but it's the least I can do to thank you all. Sooooo....

The first artist I'd like to feature is...! She's got some great tattoo work and some traditional abstract work. She's recently started dabbling in Photoshop so look out for more on that front. She's an all around good artist and great friend. Check her out and giver some good comments and tips.

Notice how the dark colors are so much darker when viewed outside of Photoshop? I cannot for the life of me figure out the problem. I always color on RGB. The settings are default (as far as I know). I've completely uninstalled and reinstalled PS CS2. I'm hoping my fellow deviants will come to my rescue. The thing is I don't want to waste countless hours coloring a piece only to have it look lackluster at the end. That would be a waste of time. If I can't figure out the problem I'm going to have to hang it up. That is something I just don't want to do. I really enjoy coloring.

So please any and all help you can give me would be greatly appreciated. Maybe some of the coloring vets have run into this before, I'm hoping they will respond as well. If it works out or if it doesn't I just want to thank all those who will take the time to respond.

Oh my...I've slept a whopping 4 hours in 2 days, well maybe 1 1/2 days but you get the picture. I'm pooped. I'm still working on a few things. I'll be trying another different style of coloring. I still haven't found a style I'm really good with. I know I can do so much better, I just have to find my groove. It'll come with time I hope. Well, it's the day after Thanksgiving and I hope everyone enjoyed thier holiday (if you celebrated it). Not much to really say in this journal. I just am having trouble sleeping, so I figured why not blab on for a few minutes.

My contest piece has been submitted to Nema. Hope it does fairly well. Time will tell though. There's some outstanding artists in that contest.

I should have another piece up sometime tomorrow. I put it on hold so I could do the contest piece. It's been flatted and semi shaded so it's almost ready. A few more things to do and it'll be complete. Then it'll be Saturday and back to work for me. BLECK!
