Well many of you noticed that I did a couple of shoots including with

back in June and with

in August... the ropey one was especially fun though also hard work.

Tomorrow I'm doing a triple shoot with 2 other models, one is also a photographer like myself... should be fun and we all get paid too

The reason for doing paid shoots is the KissMyBliss project that my friends are launching in November... it'll be a gorgeous paid erotic nude site run by women!

I'm working for them as model and photographer, and I'm looking for models and make-up artists to collaborate with me on this. Drop me a note if you are interested in finding out more!

Oh yes I got sick of my crappy little point-and-shoot and got myself a nice Caplio S6, which is a compact little thing for everyday stuff, but it has a gorgeous 7.2x optical zoom and great lens... nice everyday compact!

Thanks for the warm welcome back, it's great to find so many of my DA friends still here!

On a sadder note DA welcomed me back with a no-response message that notifies me that they removed one of my birth pictures... what do you all think of this??? I think it's insane and disgusting... none of the usual 'reasons' applies to me, just too graphic apparently. Have got a new job that is very exciting, interesting and challenging and Im relishing it even though its a lot of work.

My old job is finishing soon, so Im in the overlap period. Right now they are giving me grief with the last assignment and Ive been pushed into a corner and my boss made my situation totally impossible, so Im on the verge of blowing it all up!!!!

I've been sooooo pissed off the whole day, maybe I should chop some wood at 2am.. hahaha

Meanwhile had a great time at the Film Festival with my partner and friends.. some really bad duds and some absolute gems that made me laugh and cry and want to be alive like never before!

I also organise a small group of friends to visit the Biennale last Saturday might post a pic of an artwork with lots of barbed wire!

So lifes very busy but also a lot of fun. Im doing more than my share of happy playing

Details on the poster above.. yes, we are part of the official Mardi Gras Festival if you are nearby you are invited to come along, have some free wine, look at the gorgeous artwork on the walls and cavort around with the arty side of the bi and queer community of Sydney

1) first of all Im an obsessive and passionate person so these 20 points will take a little while to scrape together

2) Im a sociologist at university but art is as important for me as sociology and I often have trouble switching between abstract thought and artistic vision but I cant live without either.

3) I did 12 years of ballet but if I were to do dancing again Id probably end up doing latin ballroom!

4) I cant live without reading heaps, wherever I go I leave a trail of text behind me: books, pamphlets, magazines, journals, newspapers, printouts, brochures, sleeve notes later I pick them up again in whatever order I have even tried reading during sex

and in almost any scenario I get into if I have to spend a day without reading I panic or think of that day as worthless and wasted.

5) Im bilingual and bisexual but NOT bipolar

6) As a child I learnt books of poetry and even lists by heart, including all the names in the calendar could have something to do with being bored with a mediocre primary school. Selective high school solved the problem

7) I love animals, abhor violence and exploitation. Ive been a vegetarian for 12 years and I get involved in different political causes.

8) I write love poetry.

9) Sometimes I still get anxious to call strangers on the phone or to walk into a shop but have no trouble giving lectures to 60 people in a big hall for 2 hours.

10) Im organising my first art exhibition.. and typically (for me) Im doing 2 of them straight away

11) Im an owl, usually stay up til 3am cant let go of reality but its also about my biological clock, drugs and keeping my mind alert with a variety of activities.

12) I have a black dog (depression) that I keep on its leash by medication, yoga, diet, art, friends and social activities. I also have an anxiety disorder and several chronic physical illnesses sometimes even my doctors say that I dont look it! It takes me a lot of time, effort and emotional energy to function like a normal person instead of succumbing to disability unfortunately what I often get in exchange is a lack of recognition of my efforts. However, this never puts me off as Im a born fighter.

13) I have passed the Mensa test twice in 2 separate tests in 2 languages but then decided I didnt actually want to join the organisation! Thankfully my idea of a whole human being is much richer than their IQ score alone

14) I never bare my feet except for showering and sex

15) Im writing my doctoral thesis on the sociology of science and technology. When I finish early next year Im planning to stay at the university teaching and researching.

16) My joints are so flexible that rheumatologists cant resist bending me around and marvelling I guess they too need their amusement!

17) I only took up modelling early 2005 and love the challenge and expression that go with it. Through modelling I continue to create new layers of meaning and connections. Several of these photos have won awards and Im proud of them. Still, I primarily see myself as an artist.

18) I dont get addicted to substances, but to activities my present one is sudoku puzzles (oh, and DA) at least I can publicly own up to this one

Now that everyone has recovered from yellow fever its time for me to say a few things about it all myself

I was first sceptical about the predictions of doomsayers here on DA: now that the management has got rid of founding members DA will be steered to an increasingly money-oriented direction. But now Im starting to see the signs of rot myself. The other day I was defending the existence of the fetish gallery and I was put down by another member as a supporter of smut and pornography, someone who wants to bring down DeviantArt into. Deviousness? Bloody hell, that sounds really bad.

On some days I might be found to be defending the existence of porn if for no other reason than on the basis of liberal democracy. But to be put down and attacked as someone who doesnt do real art just smut is beyond the pale what do you think judging from my latest series?? This person may not have been the average DA member, maybe she was a Christian fundamentalist from the US Midwest (no, I dont have any problems with Christians generally or the US Midwest), but I found that discussions have generally slipped and I dont expect anyone to defend me for a start, gallery directors have resigned after the Jark incident and many have never been replaced, including artistic nude gallery. Instead of real action we get new mission statements that offer us little start systems so we can keep track of friends and streamlining processes that bring more and more 14 year olds putting up snapshots of their garage door. Where is this going?

Ive put in so much work into DA and my art here. Im now thinking about packing up shop and going someplace else. Wheres community? Wheres deviousness? In fact, what the hell is DeviantArt about? Where is the deviousness? Or does it now mean mediocrity? Yeah, maybe I should just go and sell Westfield my photos

I spent the last week or so pondering these things then I found the antidote, I need to do more art, hence my latest shoot with Dave and Beth Miller

I have finally finished all my marking, which was really hard last day I worked until 4am before getting up for an early examiners meeting so I vegged out at home afterwards and now ready to get to a small graphic design job I got (need the money!) and my own writing which has been badly neglected so

What a crazy two weeks I just had

just after I posted the previous note on April fools day one of my latest shots got a Daily Deviation on the photographers pages
