So, I have been gone a lot. Very busy with college, work, and going from doctor to doctor. I won't be explaining any of that though.

I apologize for not submitting anything in forever and for being so gone and busy. I am trying to get caught up on Daily Deviations- and I'm sorry but I will not likely be leaving comments on them, due to time purposes and there just being SO many wonderful deviations to love.

I have some random sketchy doodles and such that I have worked on... but unfortunately, I have yet to complete something. I'm looking for motivation and inspiration.

FIRSTLY, I want you ALL to be made aware of THIS
News: Policy: Break it down easy - Tracing Edition

To summarize, Tracing is now legal in the deviantart community for little more reason than basically, 'Who is to say what "art" really is?'

They go so far as to say:
"At deviantART we believe that tracing has a place in our community. We consider it to be a valid learning tool..."

This was my response to the News Article, Tell me if I'm Crazy here:
"I know and understand and can respect that you are the boss and we are nothing but users...

And I understand that what I say will likely do no good, because why should you listen to me or any of the other art users on this site...

BUT...
I need to say something.
I along with many many people and deviants I know do NOT agree with tracing, and by tracing I mean you copy and paste an image, or you take tracing paper and directly trace over an image.

Why isn't that art? Because the individual isn't actually learning anything but how to draw lines over lines through paper, or use the crtl+c and v keys. That is absolutely ridiculous.

Currently...

Firstly, I apologize for not updating for so long. It started as I didn't have enough time, then I got very depressed, and decided I shouldn't continue to do art anymore.
I'm still unsure of how I feel about continuing art, I wanted to stop because of personal reasons, lack of ambition and inspiration, and because I convinced myself that I'm just not good enough. I make art look bad. etc.
I'm not sure what I think now. I had some people yell at me for thinking that way; and now recently I've begun to visit DA more and I have been much more impressed with the art I have been seeing; encouraging me to keep trying.

I have started doodling again... Maybe I'll upload the doodles... I'm unsure ... I'll try to upload some other art though that I recently got back that I did over the last couple years...

So Originally I planned on finishing my general deviantART... information of sorts right after my last journal, but I don't have the patience at the moment... so I must put it off for now

Today was supposed to be the end of the art showing at the art museum I had mentioned... and for the others who were in it, today it did end. For me, Mine ended like two weeks early. . . due to the fact that I had to send my pieces off somewhere else, and so, kind of disappointing. Only a few people really saw my stuff. But whatever. . . maybe I'll get my art in there some other time ... -doubtful.-

Also, The last couple weeks have been the worst weeks ever. . . I've been so busy and I've had so many issues with other people... Just depressing. I won't go into details, but just trust me, possibly the worst last two weeks ever. And to crown it all off, one of my favorite artists here on deviantART, =Princess-of-Shadows has left the deviantART community. Today she re-activated her gallery at least, for portfolio purposes, but she's gone, and that killed me. Not just because she's a very good artist, but just because she's always been so wonderful and nice.

Well, I've uploaded things, I've been busy, I'm working on uploading more for you guys. Thank you everyone for the comments and support- it really means a lot

As you can see, I now have a Flickr in addition to my Myspace. I would like to get this out of the way NOW... Well, I have both good news and bad news for anyone who is interested in reading this.
Good News I have new completed works Quite a few now actually.

Bad News Some of those pieces are being displayed in a library and in a local Art Museum, so I only have a couple pieces ready to go, and my scanner hates my guts.

Either way, I promise to upload some things as soon as possible, but at the moment I'm waiting to see if photoshop will start to work on my computer, It's there just.... not working. If it gets working, I can put some decent watermarks on everything that will be less annoying for you guys ...unfortunately, especially with recent things, I'm not sure how long it will take before that program works.

As for myself though, I'm going to be gone for a while possibly, I'm not sure yet when exactly or for how long. . . so that might make uploading more difficult regardless if things start to work or not.

So how was everyone's holiday? I feel bad I didn't update sooner, but what can I say? I've been ridiculously busy... I've barely had anytime to myself... Sorry, I guess there isn't much more of an update for me to say at the moment that's worthy of being said

New Works Yes... At the moment, I am working on a bunch of stuff, new stuff yes... even a *portrait* yea, isn't that weird? An actual somewhat realistic looking portrait... Not of me, but it's better that way I usually get too discouraged and don't do them... but I decided to try. And I'm kind of proud of it compared to others I've done. So yay. I also had given you some preview images in My Preview Gallery ... I have more though, lots more, and I'm hoping to get going uploading them too... I also have a second digital piece I'm thinking of attempting.

Don't worry though, I'm not going all digital on you guys, I just want to broaden my abilities and try some new things, which is what I've been trying to focus on while coming up with new ideas lately

Who's excited for the dreaded V-Day?
Not me =x.X= I regard Sweetest's Day even better than Valentine's day. Does anyone else think that it's just become an excuse to have sex? Not to mention, shouldn't you be showing someone your love EVERYDAY? Why does there need to be a holiday for it? Just some thoughts I guess lol.

I would like to start off with a short Pre-X-Mas rant...
The horrible man *emphasis on the "horrible" part* who sang that song about how "It's the most wonderful time of the year"... yea, he sucks... I don't know what he was on when he came up with that, but I hold a bitter grudge towards him at the moment.

Anyway, Now that that's off my chest...
I want to first apologize as I usually tend to end up doing when I get behind on things.
I currently have a grand total of 869 deviations and counting to view. I hope you can accept my apology if I haven't gotten around to commenting, favoriting, or even viewing yours.

Why is it that ~VampKitty9 hasn't been around to do this? ... Well, among other *normal* things, partially because My computer had recently been slaughtered by viruses that let me tell you, were not pleasant to get rid of.
But, on that note, I will be trying to get caught up for you guys, I feel bad neglecting you, I really do. *bad kitty*. However, please understand too, that I have my own things I need to be doing, especially getting closer to Christmas, things get very chaotic for me up until about February.

New Work? ...yes... yes there is. I have completed a chalk-pastel piece and I personally am rather content with it I am also a few days away from finishing my Tempera Paint Cubism-esk Painting. I think you guys will especially appreciate the Painting It didn't turn out how I originally wanted it to, but I am very happy with how it has turned out
When will we see it? This I'm not so sure about. I've had the pastel-chalk piece done for ... well, a long while now. . . but I haven't gotten around to taking photos of it. Similarly, I have a piece done in colored pencils and oil pastel that I finished last year that I recently got back and that has yet to be seen by you. I'm not sure how much you'll like it, personally I'm a bit indifferent, especially since it was hanging up somewhere and it's been smudged among other things . I'll try to at least let you guys see the Painting soon though- because I'm even excited about it

Firstly, I'd like to apologize immensely for neglecting deviantart for a while, and for not even replying to comments, viewing deviations, or even being here to talk to... Thank you for sticking around, and for not sending me hatemail and everything of the like...

I don't want to get into details as to why I was gone, but ... they're family related... falling apart and such... Also, I have a friend leaving soon into the marines, so I've been trying to spend some time with/talking to him before he leaves (in 3 days).

On a Lighter note, I celebrated my birthday... kind of.... there wasn't much of a celebration.... I had doctors and various other appointments and things to go to/do and ran around all day.... I spent part of the day with my friend whose leaving soon, so that helped a little.

Also, I have gotten some of my artwork back... I had hoped I'd get it all back, however, I have 3 pieces that I will not get back until possibly September... one being the finished painting of Two Cherubs (Sketch, Masterpiece Reproduction)(painting, acrylic on board), another being one that I am unsure of how confident I am about it, since it didn't turn out how I wanted, and that was a "warped reality" of a carousel (drawing board, mixed media, colored pencils, gel pens, pastels)... which currently, is untitled... and another piece, which I desperately desire to go back and fix... which is also untitled, of a swing set, two girls swinging, but sharing only one reflection (watercolor on watercolor paper). I Did get a few other things back though, which I hope to get decent pictures of and submit soon... In the meantime,

I'm really happy/excited/or something right now I have just had someone request that I submit Paris et La Tour Eiffel as a print! I never thought anyone would be perhaps interested in a print of some kind for any of my work....

Now I'm curious... ...Would any of you ever consider getting some kind of print of my work at one point or another?

You won't hurt my feelings if you say no, and if you were to say yes, I'm not saying 'omg you HAVE to buy something from me now'... I'm only wondering because If other people are interested, I might actually get a print account or something. I'm not very sure right now though :S If only one person is perhaps interested in some sort of print, then it won't really be worth it for me as of now I don't think, and I'll just have to wait and see if later on down the line there are more people interested.

I'm back from France everyone! =^.^= ... .. ok well maybe it's not such a good thing... gah I don't know. I miss it horribly; I absolutely LOVED it there.... but I won't bore you with the details of my trip... although I did have a billion bad things happen to me... *nudges people whom she's already talked to about this... about the scary guys... and things like that* . . .
Anyway... I got to see TONS of really neat things all over Paris and Annecy and Lyon and Chamonix.... And my host family was wonderful and everything was just incredible =^.^=
I have TONS of pictures that I took, out of 1,400 I only had 3 left.... .... ok so I took a few pictures... ... Don't worry, I won't be uploading them all, but there are a few in particular I can't wait to show you all I'm sure you'll like them to some extent

Aside from my trip, I apologize profusely to all of you for the lack of submissions, the lack of actual art (not just photos), and to those of you who had tons of journals and deviations that I never got to comment on- I promise, I saw ALL the deviations and read MOST of the journals... And I have another painting type thing I'm just finishing up tonight, along with a watercolor that I'm starting tomorrow, and soon all the other things I gave you previews for I'll be able to upload pictures for... give me a month or two and I think I should have them for you

Well, I'm leaving everyone. Not forever of course, but I'll be gone for the next 2 weeks. Things aren't going good. ...Well, they haven't been anyway... not for the past few weeks. I've gotten barely any sleep, I've been terribly busy, and I've had issues with certain people whom I'd rather not mention.

I finished my WBallerinas' Midnight Recital and to my dismay, for some ungodly known reason, I can't seem to get any decent pictures of it... I took a bunch, but every single one on all kinds of different settings all turn out blurry and glared and ugh. I'll get some good ones eventually

Also, I'm pretty sure I'm sick... After dinner tonight, I came home, took a nap, and well... I woke up boiling to death even though it was freezing here and I felt really crappy... Fell asleep a few more times after that... Then after this last time of being asleep, I woke up rather startled at exactly 2 am out of a nightmare, to a big boom of random things falling down everywhere *for whatever ungodly known reason* in my room and me seeing things that... well, I really hope weren't there, (while ironically Marilyn Manson's "Sweet Dreams" was just starting) ... I'm very ... jumpy and paranoid and keep hearing things, my heart won't stop racing and stuff... just not good. But that's just me.

Already, I'm starting on a new project, another painting, a manipulation of a detail of Raphael's Sistine Madonna- The portion I'm re-creating is the part with the 2 cherubs... Lately I have been So incredibly busy... I'm so sorry for not getting back as quickly as I usually do to all your comments/new deviations/journals/etc. So much going on, lots of work, lots of me freaking out about personal things and being anti social even moreso... feeling like I'm going crazy..., at least 2 bad nightmares every night, constantly tired even though I've been sleeping more than I usually do to try to make myself less tired, and I've been very busy with getting ready for my trip to France I'll be taking over Spring Break time. (For those of you who don't know... yea... I'm kinda scared, I'll be in Paris, then I'll be going to Annecy to stay with a French family and... Oh, am I nervous )... I've also been very busy with working on a 3 board composition... I'll try to upload some pictures of my progress so you guys can get an idea. Don't know if I'll do that tonight or not, but I'll update my journal with the links when I do I think you guys will like it, I kinda like it, just right now I'm a bit worried about how the background/ground itself is going but I'd rather not get into attempting to explain that now, too much.

Because of the 3 board compositon I've been working on, it's been taking up all the time I've had lately to work on my other things, and I'm fairly far on it, so expect me to upload those before anything else... unless I get some new photographs or something I think you guys would enjoy. ...I could always upload more winter/snow related ones if you wanted... but I've uploaded a bunch and I don't want things to get disgusting .

But anyway, How have you all been? I feel bad like I've been neglecting you all... Anything interesting going on?

Well... Things have really not been going well for me. In fact, it's safe to say that they've been going almost worse than ever. I'm so stressed out with the things I've been having to do lately, my upcoming trip to France, friend problems, everything that it has been difficult for me to get motivated to do/for much. However, I have been working a lot on my Clowns picture... (go figure), And I've worked a lot on one of the pictures I intend to give Dan... although I'm not done and I wanted this one to originally be a Christmas picture =x.x=. I'd show you guys a preview, however Dan now goes to my DA page and I don't want him to see it yet lol.

Anyway... I'm considering Adding some new, AND updating some of my old preview pictures, such as my Clowns and Alice Meets the Cheshire Cat Since I've done a lot more with them and yea. Let me know if you guys really want updates or not on them. Also, I'm thinking of updating a lot of my old scanned work that were horribly butchered by my scanner with pictures from my digital camera because there's such a difference in color and such. But again, Let me know if I even should... I'll probably update within the next week or so and show you what the pictures look like vs. the scans if you guys want... guy idk. I'm very indecisive right now.

Lastly, How did everyone's X-mas/Holiday/New Years' go? Any fun/interesting stories to share?

Ok... So here's what happened. I'm sorry guys, just I have to rant. So... last night I stayed up all night drawing a picture I was going to paint for Dan as a Christmas present... Spent all night doing it because it was of a subject that I'm not very good at drawing and usually, I can NEVER draw it to where I feel ok about it... So while I was drawing it I was talking to Dan on messenger, not telling him everything about it but basically said how happy I was that it was turning out... I had been all proud and happy with myself that it was turning out decent Then this morning, I began painting it in watercolors and well guess what, I was/still am babysitting... And... about a half hour or so ago... The phone rings, I go answer it because it was an important call. . . Well Guess what? In the Minute that I'm gone, stupid baby goes, and in short, attacks my painting with black paint so badly that it's unfixable. I'm so upset... you have no idea how happy I had been that it was going well and now I'm just crushed... and the thing is, when they go home and then the ppl find out what happened, I'LL be at for it, And I have lots of work stuff, and I probably won't be able to finish a whole another painting for him before when I wanted it done, even if I DO manage to get it drawn out all right I'm so upset.... =u.u=.... As if today wasn't going bad enough as it was =u.u=..... ok.... I'm done now =u.u= Sorry guys. Had to tell someone.

Well... I haven't updated in a long time. I thought it was time I gave you guys at least an explanation for me being such a horrible deviantart member you watch that hasn't been submitting stuff. . . Firstly, I'd like to start out saying thank you to everyone who's been patient with me on returning thanks, messages, commenting, etc. I'm sorry I haven't been commenting nearly as much as I used to, but it gets difficult when In one day you get anywhere from 10 to 70 new deviations, not including the huge mess of comments and journals. It has been very difficult for me to keep up with not only all the deviations and such things of others, but also with creating my own and keeping up with the huge mass of schoolwork and personal problems. Stuff I'm working on... (pretty much in order... ish... according to the numbers -yes, I know there's 2 2's, its cuz both are at about the same... point? maybe?... yea... I just like to mention it in my entries in case anyone is curious... Which they probably aren't but It makes me feel better putting it in anyway )

I haven't started on it yet, but I've been tempted to, At the same time though, The thing I'm doing for dan is going to have part of a tiger in it and is going to be most of the picture... So I'd rather just start on that... But I have too many other complications going on with that one to feel like doing so...
The Second one that started up... meh 3 days ago? Was to draw some characters.... Just caracters, particularly girls with different fluffy fancy pretty cute dresses... But for that, I lack the motivation and the creativity to make it interesting.

(this is where what I say somewhat matters ) The third one started up... 2 days ago... To draw a new illustration for a Nursery Rhyme in one of my really old Nursery Rhyme books... (They're very odd nursery rhymes, many being about beating children, Killing things, Wierd things in general...) Well, the night I started to want to work on that, I fell asleep with the book on the couch and never got to even looking through the book... TODAY (well.. yesterday rather seeing as how its 2:27am ) I started on one... lol. Yes, I started yet another project leaving the others unfinished for now... This one I decided to do particularly because one, I wasn't as happy with that illustration for the picture (The illustrations are quite lovely, But that one I didnt particularly care for nor did it seem to fit the Rhyme well enough... it was one of those... meh pictures.) and two, Because the Rhyme itself Stood out to me, for reasons that shall go unmentioned...
The rhyme goes like this:

But ANYWAY, Yet again, working on something new, I'm actually thinking of abandoning the idea for the "Imaginary" Song picture thing... I'm currently too frusterated with thinking about all the complications to want to even think about attempting it...

Similarly, the Cheshire Cat portrait like picture that I wanted to do, that I'm not even going to try to think on that one anymore because I have too much going on, I haven't found the right way to do it yet, And it just adds to my stress.

I don't feel like working further on the Picture for Dan for now, Just its going to be too complicated of a picture and I'm not looking forward to it and its complications that I know will be attacking and stressing me out even more later... I WILL do it... eventually... Just not right now. . .

Same pretty much goes with the Alice Meets the Cheshire Cat, I know HOW I'm going to do it though, just I am at a loss of how to do the far background, And currently, I feel more like painting than Doing what I'm going to do for that.

(be prepared for a rant... I'm deeply sorry in advance...)... I would like to mention, Yesterday- Well, Thursday, I went to the Milwaukee Art Museum...(More pictures of the Museum... Although, I do prefer my own in many cases)... Thats where I spent the day, Quite a bit to look at there, especially with their Special Comicbook exhibit... (Mostly, I just enjoyed the Snoopy (Peanuts) and Popeye comics, The rest were rather dull or long or ... incredibly ... well lets just say, one artist in particular had only one thing on his mind =>.> = ).... HOWEVER... I'm sorry, Please don't be offended, But I must Say something about "Minimalism"... You know, like Cubism or Expressionism... only... uber... uber... MINIMAL... I was quite disappointed in the Art I found there, I was hoping for more, Don't get me wrong, there was some good art... However, Far too much of it was BIG HUGE GIGANTANORMOUS PIECES OF MINIMALISM!... For those of you who don't know exactly, either look it up or Take my simple description: Minimalism is where an artist creates a piece of art that is very minimal in detail, IF there's any at all, its very Simple, Nothing uber exciting like something from Monet or anything....
Now, I'm sorry, but I'd just like to show you a few of the pieces that Actually upset me... Please, again, don't be offended, I don't know how many minimalists there are out there... (All the links I give will be links from within the Index of their Collection)
These two probably upset me the most of them all...
Red, Yellow, Blue II~What scares me the MOST about this one, is that its not called "Red, Yellow, Blue I" but "Red, Yellow, Blue II". I see no effort put into painting 3 large canvases 3 different common colors and hanging them up on the wall.
Untitled (Veteran's Day Sale) ~This one, you cant see it as well in the picture, but it's nothign but a large stack of plain white paper, that in tiny print, says "Veteran's Day Sale" Centered On the top. (My brother thought it was a bench or chair cuz it was similar to the benches in the museum for sitting and he sat on it )
There was also a 3rd piece that upset me, a HUGE piece of thick, ugly brown felt that looked like dryer lint that had horizontal cuts in it, That hung on the wall. I didn't provide a link for you to see and make your own opinion upon simply because I didn't see one on the site (feel free to look yourself).
Then there are some others... but not nearly as upsetting to me as those...
144 Pieces of Zinc~Honestly, this looks like a big set of floor tiles... There is nothing special I saw about these tiles, they were just individual tiles laying in the center of the floor with various dirty shoe prints and other such things.

Yea... that took me way longer than it should have. So sorry for that, But I've been gone quite a bit lately and I've started driver's ed and that especially puts a major dent in my ambition to work on/finish artwork and I absolutely refused to submit one one day and one later on down the line because they were so similar and yea. I'm sorry in advance, this is almost I guess more of a rant to myself moreso than anything about what's going through my mind concerning my art n stuff... I warn you now, I'm not very optimistic lol.

I'm Not sure what I'll be working on trying to finish next seeing as how I really want to continue working on my Alice...Cheshire Cat-Not Done Because it's further along than anything else ... But at the same time, I'm frusterated with it and my other things I'm working on and I'm kind of pressed for time when it comes to working on the quick sketch for a picture/painting/drawing/something for Dan and figuring out what I'm doing with it exactly...

...But ANYWAY... Basically this is what I've got going on...
Alice...Cheshire Cat-Not Done~not done, in one of those "drawing block" things... My problem: Unsure of how I should color it and kind of regretting tracing the outlines of some of it in pen..... *has no idea why she didnt stop and think about that one first*... I am also stuck on what to do for the border, I want to incorperate Lewis Carrol's Poem, "Jabberwocky" Into the piece, but right now I'm just not sure of the best way to do it

Ok... Well lately, I've been bored beyond what should be the extent of possible boredom possible for any person or group of people for that matter *twitch*.

The more bored/depressed I get, which trust me, I have been lately, the better ideas I get for my art stuff that I'm working on (It's a loose-loose situation, I can't be happy because then I have art blocks and I can't be depressed because OBVIOUSLY it sucks althogh I do finally do get ideas for my art =x.X= )

The other night after talking a bit to efm0912, I got another idea, and as you know, I am already working on something that I really want to finish AND I have a whole bunch of things, sketches and stuff mainly, that I have started, wanted to finish, but haven't for one reason or another... And I'm getting frusterated because I'm addicted to this website and I haven't submitted anything new recently =x.X= ...

But ANYWAY, just so you all know that I am working on SOMETHING....
I've updated my last... started... project... thing *twitch* and explained more there about what's going on with it, And I've added the sketch of the new thing I'm working on in My Scraps .

Alice... Cheshire Cat-Not Done ... This is the new thing that I am working on that I just started, just thought I'd let you all know that...

Scrap of Sadistic Little Girl ... This is the sketch of the watercolor painted thing I'm working on, It explains more about it there.

O and another issue I'm having, my parents *twitch*, not yesterday, but the day before on the 22nd, signed me up to go to the drivers lessons/school thing out of pure anger (don't ask just trust me, they don't want me to drive but yea and guh...) =x.X= that is going to make me most likely INCREDIBLY unmotivated to work on my work... and it starts not too far into July and to make it worse, its REALLY early in the morning for me, so i like HAVE to get my stuff done fast but obviously, I'm not/cannot rush on my work cuz yea. doesn't work well.

But yea, Thats All I really have to say right now. ... *has to go for now feels sick*

Well... not so much an edit as it is that I have been driving me crazy for the last .... well since a couple days after I submitted this journal entry...

I have more stuff I'm working on... so yes, 4 total... The 2 new added ones are ... (and I'm so sorry but I do not have any scraps of these yet to Let you see)

It's vacation.. and I'm bored which is horrible of me to say, I know, but its true.

I'm getting addicted to this site thing actually... I keep wanting to submit more and more but I don't have that much that I care to submit or that much that I actually can get into my computer due to size issues and a lack of a digital camera.

I'm starting to work on what I think will turn into something watercolors.... First I'm drawing it out though on normal paper so I don't waste the watercolor paper so I'll probably put that up sometime. . . Hopefully it goes well, I don't usually have many ideas popping into my head especially this early into the summer.
