So, I got a comment saying we should do a writing contest. it came along with a few ideas and thought this one might be fun. You basicly right about how the character became a vampire. it has to be in first person. you write it in the vampire's point of view.

rules are simple:

It must be your own writing.

You can colab with something. you both get credit and you share the prize.

keep in mind you might not get your story viewed as much if there is sex in it, seeing as that would be mature content. You can still do that, This is just fair warning.

Must have main character being turned into a vampire.

We will start out our first News update We shall start with the club here.
If no one has noticed, things are changing here! Most is already up! a Rules page, Movie and Book of the Month! Images and facts ( though we don't have anything really there yet )and now a 'News page'. I am trying to decide if I should start also making a video for vampire Mansion news too. it would be a voice and pictures mostly of course. More like a radio show. What do you all think? I might make one as a sort of test run.
And yes, I know the title is silly.

We also might try and get a New ID and Avi. If anyone wants to, we would be pleased. if there is enough people we might make a contest out of it.

As many may know already, there is a movie that is based of the book by Stephenie Meyers, Twilight.

I look forward to it and dread it at the same time. I love the Twilight series ( books ) but I find that half the time with movies the story gets ruined. a lot of movies as of late haven't been that great I'm sad to say. Well, we will see if I have a reason to fear or not. The trailer looks pretty good though.

Speaking of Twilight! the last book in the series is out! I discovered this while in Alaska. "Breaking Dawn". I'm almost done with the book.

This Months movie of the month i "Interview with the Vampire", which is based of Anne Rice's book.

Description:
After an aristocratic Louisiana gentleman's abrupt transformation into a vampire at the hands of a mysterious foreigner, he reluctantly settles into a life of nocturnal domesticity, augmented by the addition of a little girl.

I found the description on Yahoo. and it doesn't give away the whole thing. so...





Novembers movie of the month

Like with the books, no one sent opinions. So We chose at random.
This Month is Blade.
The movie of course has a ton of vampires. The main character is a Dhampire ( a half vampire. "Day Walker" ) called Blade. he is also a vampire hunter. His Mother had been bit when she pregnant with him. she died in child birth. Blade was infected but didn't turn into a full vampire
he has their strength and speed. and their thirst. he isn't alergic to garlic, silver, or sunlight.
Its a good movie full of action and Vampires.


book of the month from sept 24 through oct.
Seeing as there is a Book of the Month, there of course has to be a movie of the month, right? Besides, more people watch movies then Read books, sad to say. Not that I don't love movies myself, But I have a love for books as my family would tell you.

No one seemed to agree on one movie ( of course we only got a handful of comments on the 'whats your favorite vampire movie / book ' .

So we flipped a coin. Great decision making skills hu?

So this Month's movie is Underwold.
Underworld is a movie that is both a Vampire movie and a werewolf movie. I like it myself.
through the movie there is a war between the vampires and the lycans ( werewolves ) that has been raging on for centuries by now. The times and the technology changes but the goals pretty much stay the same.
The main character is Seline (sp? ) who is a vampire, and a Death Dealer ( one of the people fighting the werewolves ) . She finds herself in the middle of a plan the werewolves made. She learns about Michael Corvin ( the spelling may be wrong ) . Michael is human. But there are werewolves following him. So she finds herself trying to protect this human and trying to figure out what the werewolves have planned.

Thats all I will say about the movie. let me know if I put to much detail or not enough

February's book of the Month
I know we missed December and January. Lazy owners with stuff going on is to blame. sorry all.
WE NEED SUGGESTIONS FOR BOOK OF THE MONTH. ANY SUGGESTIONS PEOPLE???
we haven't for suggestions since the first one.

So this month, its Dracula by Bram Stoker. It may not be new, but I think its still a awesome book.




November's book of the month
We are just doing it on the same page.
since no one sent in any votes on what the next book of the month should be, I picked at random.
Guilty Pleasures by Laurell K. Hamilton
its the first in a long series about Anita Blake, Animator and Vampire Hunter.
In the series the vampires, were-animals, and some other creatures are very, very real. vampires are even now legally people.
Anita is a animator mostly ( she can raise zombies. no they don't eat everyones brains ) . But she does help the cops with some cases. She is their 'monster's expert'.

it often gets her in interesting and dangerous situations.

It is a wonderful book and I love it. Laurell K. Hamilton is one of my favorite authors.

as fair warning, there is a lot of violence (duh! its a vampire book! ) and it has parts that takes place in a strip club.
the explicit stuff doesn't come till later Books though. But thats another story.





Book of the month sep 24 through oct
Welcome to the first 'Book of the Month' everyone! we thought it might be nice to have a list of Books you can check out. I know some times I wish there was a list. Anyway, each month we will be going a new one.
This one's will be short just because the month is almost up.

This Month's book of the Month is a book that it seems everyone is going on about (including me , ~Chelsea-C ).
Twilight by Stephenie Meyer.

I myself love the book ( along with the rest of the series, but thats another story ). The book is about a girl who moves into a new town, to stay with her father. The place is rainy and not much for sun but she deals. While she is there she meets a boy named Edward Cullens, Who seems to avoid her like the plague. Amongst other odd things.

I am not good at book descriptions and am not sure how much to write. So sorry all. But! I can give you the link to the site.

ok, so I won't make everyone rejoin.
I know the club isn't active. I don't know how to fix it. not many people want to do contests. the reason I haven't been doing crap myself for a month or two is we moved, and I went on a trip. But I have been trying to figure it out. What is it everyone wants? What makes a club active? I've tried contests. I put up the art. I do journals.
ITs frustrating the hell outa me.
A friend suggested ending the club. Which I don't want to do. I love vampires. And I've worked on this club a long time. Maybe I'm just not a good owner.

Very sorry! its been over a month since I last updated! We went on vacation in Alaska and were rather busy.
I will catch up on what needs to be updated.

its a ' sexiest Vampire Contest ' . that would basicly be everyone could draw/cosplay/photo a vamp in whatever way they want, and then which ever one is voted the sexiest is the winner .

Rules :

1.) sense DA doesn't alow porn like art , please make sure it isn't .

2.) has to be something you created . it can't just be a picture you found online somewhere and stuck up .

3.) a sort of exeption to the second rule is you can collab with some one . working together is allowed , but you have to tell us !!

4.) it can be your own character , or a character from a anime , manga , book , tv show , or movie .

so , I thought I would see which of the two we got you would like better to enter .

there is a peom / short story Contest . which would be exactly what it sounds like . you would write a peom or story that would have to do with Vampires , or somthing that has to with Vampires like a Vampire hybrid or something .
